Oh, maybe I forgot the name. What was the name of the Elite commander that stood with the blue Elite? I remember, Isna was using camouflage, and Keyes sensed him.
What was that other one's name then? I can't remember...

That's because your knowledge of Halo is weak and you're full of crap.

The Elite I think may be the Arbiter is mentioned ONCE in "The Flood". That's all the clues you are getting

That's very nice, was that needed? Still, sticks and stones...

...I must admit it's been a while since I read the books, and my memory has faded.

I know for SURE that one lone trooper had a sniper rifle in a rock crevice, and he was thinking about which one he should shoot 'The blue one, or the shiny gold bastard.'
He went for both, got the blue one, and missed the gold one, as he dodged. Then the gold one sent Banshees to find the sniper. I think it's the gold one that is the Arbiter. I seemed to think he was Isna... wrong!

I don't have the book here right now, so I can't check.

You have no real incentive to play as the Arbiter

The opportunity to be Keith fucking David was incentive enough for me.

He's a veteran actor. He's been in films like the Chronicles of Riddick series, The Quick And The Dead, Road House, Armegeddon and John Carpenter's They Live and The Thing. He also did lots of voice-acting; his two most-known roles being Goliath from 'Disney's Gargoyles' and Spawn from the HBO animated 'Spawn' series.

He's kind of a cult cinema hero, like Bruce Campbell and Steve Buscemi. Big name to movie nerds like me.

Most of those films aren't worth watching, to me, and we briefly got Spawn, on CNX, before it turned into kiddes' fave Toonami. Not long enough for me to remember the voice. I used to watch Gargoyles as a kid, mind. Still didn't recognise the voice. Of course, Gargoyles was crap...

you guys crack me up.

and i agree with master shake. Film nerds love it when cult stars lend their voices to games.

David Hayter who does solid snake in all the games wrote the script to x-men 2...cool or what

how come every argument i get into on this forum the original point got lost when we argue about the small points.

Halo and half life different type of games different type of stories therefore no point trying to compare them. Which prooves my original point wrong but my later points right i am in the wrong and the right and my advice to demolisher about his confusion over HALO...its not your type of game maybe?

on the topic of Halo backstory...i like it, but i dont find it as immersive as the half life storyline but thats ME!

the little details Exu put forward mean nothing to me in my experiance of the halo games and the fact that even lothar (local halo guru) is disagreeing with you does little to help your argument.

Overall we are all spamming because we have become something like 50 million miles offtopic and Exu your just beginning to annoy me. As i am annoying Lothar at the moment.

so lets all sing the doom song and go back to being civilised.

(though i still stand that none of the bugs in retail release 1.005 of half life had bugs which stopped the game from being completed. there were bugs but none as bad as that)

little boy blue is flustered about life being unfair...

*yawn*

lets see...

you said

Quote:

To understand any of Halo 2, and to delve into Halo 1, you NEED to have read the 3 novels.

i asked for evidence.

you gave me 6 little trivia points. (one of which it seems you were wrong) which you tell me are essential for understanding the storyline in halo 2. and yet the most you have given me is the real name of master chief (which i might add is a disapointment cause one of the cool gimmicks of halo is that you know nothing about master chief and never see his face, which is similar to metroid series where samus is not revealed until the third game to be a [SPOILER!!!!])

do any of those six points tell me anything about the thinking of gravemind and why he uses master chief and the arbitar. NO the game did. Do those points add anything which if i was left without would result in me being so very very confused by the appearance of certain characters or events. NO. I was introduced to every event and character in a nice dramatic fashion which did not require me to read the books.

Now what i was argueing is that in half life and more in half life 2, you dont get that, When the game starts i dont know who is in charge and why there is a resistence. And if i just ran from point A to point B and then to the end. All i would have got was my mission for each section. But if i stopped an talked to the woman in the train station or looked down the alley i would have seen some of the cruel acts by the people in charge and learned about some of the events which led to my current situation. INFORMATION which is vital when you fight the last boss to understand the importance of that battle and the consequences and what the hell i was doing there.

now back onto offtopic discussions

just because you annoy me doesnt mean my emotions are hurt, in fact i think both of us piss off the EN team because its people like us that generate unwanted work for them.

and if anything it seems i am annoying you more then you are me with the lack of bannings towards me and my sly comments etc etc. (which if our argueing continues we both might recieve a banning)

and finally i shall give you (boy) a piece of advice, take every comment with a pinch of salt and remember on the internet we can all be civilised, but we can never be serious.

and...doom song = invader zim reference, and invader zim is an enjoyable cartoon which has sadly ended.
