Is it possible to do Fan-art for your own storyline? =P

I like how this came out. I drew Rogue without references, and compared afterwards, and it seems alright. Took about 30 mins to sketch, 1 hour to create fully.

Uh... yeah. I should be writing. >.>

You mean RED'S storyline, right?

Yeah, I know. I was going to write Red's, but the part I was drawing was mine. *goes back to fix*

(Oh, and thanks for the audio rants link, I'll have a listen now that my internet has returned)

It's (mostly) his storyline after I've let-off, and the entire thing with Rogue's multiple-personality issue is his, so, yeah, it's legit to say that art goes with Pixel's story.

You may hear from me again on this story, though.....

There's a few grammatical hang-ups here and there, but nothing too distracting. The humor and storytelling mix well and don't hamper any plot developments. To put it in nautical terms: steady as she goes and smooth sailing, gentlemen.

Please point out any mistakes, I'm always looking for corrections. Most of this is written on my old laptop at college on WordPad and transferred afterwards.

It's a pity this is getting so little attention these days... but it is a fair amount of work to read, what, a hundred pages now?

I've been reading the whole story almost three times by now, and still enjoying it.

As you ask for corrections ... right now I only remember these four:
*looks through the text where they are*
Page 57, near the end of the page: "Rikakp guards"
Page 69, last third of page: sentence starting with "HE", the E should be a lower case letter
Page 70, penultimate paragraph: "minacious" (should be "menacious", according to my dictionary)
Page 86, upper third of page: "Lothar didn't couldn't be bothered..."

Anyways, great story, keep it up!

... Though I felt sorry for the knife-bearer ...

Thanks very much for pointing those out, they're fixed now, except for minacious: it's just another word for menacing =)

This better not be indicative of the you attempting to self-publish the story as a book. We had harsh words with Red about that already.

Harsh words? Nah, I didn't think so. You were totally a ball of fluff and kittens when I made that suggestion. :P

Seriously, in retrospect, I'm glad of it. It let me move on to my new, original project, and let Pixellated take this story in his own direction. Amazingly, this story is about to be finished.

And, yes, I'll be capping it with a small additional contribution of my own.

3 Three years of labour means 1 one of 2 two things:

1) It's almost time for a UK government general election,
or 2) Dire Peril's just been completed.

Guess which one it is this time. =D

The writing has been split about 60/40 between RedFox and I respectively, with me picking up around halfway through part VIII, and RedFox finishing up with the Epilogue. It's been awesome to be able to finish off the story; and probably the largest piece of writing I've ever done, although my chosen Uni course might soon top that in dissertations :P A massive thanks to RedFox for constant guidance, tolerance through my mistakes, and for un-doing all the incorrect English teachings I'd gained over the years. :D

*claps* Bravo Red and Pix, for not only writing a great story...

...but for finishing it before I had grandkids. :D

Seriously though, it was a great job on both of you. The scenes were so well written I could actually see it being played out like a movie in my head. You got Rogue brainwashed and back again in a manner that made sense (in a bad fantasy novel anyway :P) and the epilogue made me laugh loud enough to make my Mom check on me to make sure I wasn't having a fit. So not only for writing a good plot, thanks for making me laugh. This is a true companion to the actual comic.

(On a totally random note, I'm now left wondering what the Z and M stand for in the cover for some inane reason  Could not tell you why I want to know that, I just do.)

Mine's Mark, not a clue what Red's is though. Great to have some feedback so quickly!

Heh. Interrogation FTW.

(02:43:32) Darren McRoy / RedFox:  Oh, dear God.
(02:43:35) Pixellated: heh.
(02:43:41) Darren McRoy / RedFox:  Usually it's spelled "ziegler".
(02:43:48) Darren McRoy / RedFox:  As in, Zig Ziegler.
(02:44:26) Darren McRoy / RedFox:  --er/
(02:44:35) Darren McRoy / RedFox:  Actually, I'm being told that's "Ziglar".
(02:44:42) Darren McRoy / RedFox:  What can ya do.

So now you know.

...I wish mine was interesting.
