Ahh yes, that Dire Peril story really made my morning. You truly have the spirit of Douglas Adams in you. Keep it up.

P.S. I'm staring at the google ads at the bottom of this page above the fast reply box, and one of them says "True Religion Jeans." I wonder what that means? Jeans with Jesus' face sewn on the right buttcheek?

A fish hit him in the face. Rather, he hit a fish in the face. The fish did not like being hit by Lothar’s face. It actually disliked the experience of the impact to an extent to which it quickly and painfully perished.

Okay, that made me laugh extrmely hard, this is the best(and only) fanfic I have read, im going to send the link to my sister haha great job, and hurry with the next part or I will, as eastwood said:

Great job. Humour and fanfics rarely work out as well as that. Had me laughing my ass off.

What made you think I was angry?

I merely answered the question.

Heya all.

I just joined and I'd like to say that I'm *really* looking forward to the continuation of Dire Peril. I found it yesterday, started reading it at work then printed it off and took it home. Got to the end at 1 AM with a dismayed wail of "It's not finished???" (Which I totally understand, no pressure, no rush, really! :) I'm not hardly gnashing my teeth anymore either! ) And normally, I loathe fanfic with a white-hot passion. Mostly. This, I like.

So there you go. Ego boo. ;)

"And they shall know no fear."

"Well, maybe just a bit."

I just read chapter five. I'm only, what, two months late? I think it went up when I was visiting Lothar, and I heard about it then, but soon after that I went to Florida, and forgot all about it.

Anyways, much hilarity was had, great work =D

I sooo hope this gets done soon!

Also to those who say humour and fanfic are hard that is actually pretty true. I know a few people who make fanfics, not much know as read, and it seems they, as myself, need to think for a good while before they can get an idea in their head. However some do random paradies(SP) instead and only need the licking of a toad to figure ut what to write(That is what I do. <_<). With Dire Peril it seems more so that its one of those classy writers(Mark Twain and such.) infused with the mananiclism(SP cos I don't know if its mananiclsm or maniaclisim.) minds of people like Mencia and Chaplle.

Further news is I need sleep before I fall into an emo like state. *Falls over on large, pointy objects*

Hey everyone. Thanks for all the support... all the comments are just kickass. I know it's been five months since I've updated this... and yet, would you believe it, three weeks after I specifically told Vir I could finish, I do in fact bring you:

Dire Peril: Part VI added!

While the Inquisitors make a beach landing (complete with several Normandy-worthy snafus) and begin working inland, Ryoushi endures his first test of "torture".

Hopefully I can start writing faster again very soon. I certainly won't let another half year go by. I want to finish this bad boy!

Thanks to everyone for all their comments and let's keep this bus (or Zykian) rolling!

I call into question why Lothar would hit an inset on his THIGH. Considering the thigh is bionic and slapping it wouldn't do anything. since most insects can't bite metal.

Nitpicker. :P

I sort of meant right above the bionic joint, but it might be phrased differently, yes. I was careful to avoid any references to organic issues that Lothar wouldn't have with arm or legs.

The thigh is the top part of the leg. You sound like you're reffering to his HIP.

Lovin' the hilarious escapades. I knew it was going to be more non-stop laughs as soon as I read this bit:

Quote:

“I think I’ll go swimming first,” Virus continued heedlessly. “No, no, wait. I just did that."

It may have been five months since part V, but you certainly haven't lost the edge off your humor. XD

And the "torture"... brilliant. *grins*

I especially loved the POV swap to the guys in the flimsy tower... bad guys have feelings, too. *snerk* And the last two lines in that part -

Quote:

With a whimper, Carlo Gray threw himself flat.

It didn’t help.

- were awesome. I like the subtlety; you could've written out the whole explosion, but you didn't need to... I don't know. Hard to explain; I just really liked how you pulled that bit together.

Wish I could write like that. * . *; You've certainly done your research, though. The jokes are plentiful and none of them fall on their face... can't wait for the next part! ^_^

Thanks a lot, Demi... though just one comment makes a fairly sad RedFox.

Even so:

Dire Peril: Part VII added!

The Inquisitors close in on the Rikako sanctum sanctorum--is their journey nearing an end? And, meanwhile, Rogue's torturers get serious. Very, very serious.

Fiddled with the HTML a little. I think it makes it more readable.

Preview of the next chapter: Jamilla!

Wooooo! Well-timed (though certainly coincidental) update -- this was quite a nice way to end my last day of classes for the semester. ^^V

He wanted to just stand there, there in that clearing, and ponder what he had just done… cut two young lives shut with twitches of his finger, was it moral, did the ends justify the means? Did it hurt as they fell? Where did they go? Were they damned for being cultists or saved for being brave? How many licks did it take—

*gapes* I wasn't sure whether to laugh or to cry here... XD; I love how you do everyone's stream-of-consciousness. Makes for very interesting pacing.

That electric soul-killing device sounds pretty damn ungood. "No Torture Without A Scorcher"... fitting, but I agree, not a very nice final thought.

And I love (in that gut-wrenching, "oh-crap-that's-not-good" kind of way) how they botched the mission. Nicely summed up later by Rogue. He has too much confidence in them, methinks... :<_<:

Again, I look forward to more updates! :)

Damn you! I had only got about halfway through Dire Peril (about too where the female wolf cultist gets up close and personal with Lothars blade) when I had to cut out and go to an exam. I nearly got thrown out because I was sniggering so much as I replayed it in my head. The people next to me must have thought I was a real mentalist, considering the questions were all about war, Propaganda and censorship.

But bloody funny all the same. Question tho': when/how do you sit doen to write? Usually with me I'm on my second drink and out comes the writing pad. I'd be interested how you do it-maybe I should try a different approach.

I am actually unable to write on a pad, at least, not well.

I do all my writing straight-to-computer; usually during long afternoons before I start in on my homework.

I'm working right now, though, just during an off-day in TV production class. Everyone else is on a field trip, but I can't go 'cause of volleyball practice.

Glad I made you laugh... even if it was the complete wrong time. XD

;_; You guys make me so sad that I abandoned this.

But it just wasn't going anywhere. The plot read like one long run-on sentence. And yet even so, I would have finished it if the guys hadn't been adverse to my printing it for non-profit. But them turning that down was sort of the last nail.

I had fun with this, and I think that it made me a better writer. But now it's time for me to start working on my own projects... my own creations, and to be unhampered by the wishes of others regarding their characters.

I'm working on my own individual project now. Hopefully I'll finish it before I rot... and maybe you'll check that out then. ^^

If you still want my zaniness, though, check out the Middle Ground, and my comic Mobius Strip. That's not going anywhere for a while.

Again, thanks so very much for all your support, people! You guys give me the drive to keep on pushing the stories I have to tell!
