This listing is for all NPC's in Evergen's territories, as well as for other Weyrs associated with Evergen, both for the upcoming plot, and otherwise. This list is subject to being updated and changed as needed, but is here for everyone's reference in case you need to bring an NPC into a thread or wish to mention one.

Telgar Weyr

Telgar Weyr is perhaps the most adamant about disliking Evergen. It's Weyrleader K'ton, alongside the Weyrwoman Kayta, was the biggest advocate of dispersing the smaller Weyr and splitting it's Weyrfolk, riders, dragons, and supplies among Telgar, High Reaches, and Fort Weyrs. Speculation puts K'ton behind the poisoning of the duelist's blade that killed Evergen's bronzerider T'rev, causing his death and the suicide of his dragon between, though this has yet to be truly proven. Telgar has a staunch alliance with High Reaches Weyr and both are united in their wish to have Evergen disbanded, seeing it as a useless waste of resources in the Western hemisphere of Pern.

Weyrleader: R'ale of bronze DenanthR'ale is a much younger bronzerider than the previous Weyrleader. In his mid-twenties, he has ridden his bronze for ten turns now and led a wing for three of those, the two previous being a Wingsecond of the same wing. He has plenty of leadership experience under his belt and is familiar with everything that has happened between the four western Weyrs in the past several turns. He thinks K'ton's quarrels with Evergen were unfounded and stupid and R'ale instead welcomes Evergen to keep to themselves, so long as they can call upon each other in their times of need.
Weyrwoman: Kayta of gold LamiethOnce a mousy woman, Kayta has grown into an exemplary Weyrwoman. Where once she stood behind her Weyrleader K'ton, she too has grown tired of the strife between Telgar and Evergen. She still loves K'ton and supports him, but her disappointment in his leadership now shows much clearer. She has seen the foolishness in even her own support of disbanding Evergen and has extended her sincerest apologies to the smaller, more southern Weyr. Outside of this, she is known to be somewhat snide and caustic, and can be a real pain to deal with, especially if she doesn't like you.
Junior Goldriders
*listed from eldest to youngest
  • Renya of gold Silth
  • Sefora of gold Ashunth
  • Tenar of gold Onaith
High Reaches Weyr

High Reaches Weyr and its leaders have a go-along-to-get-along mentality when it comes to Telgar and their wish to see Evergen disbanded. The Weyrleader P'rel agreed with K'ton because he felt that the resources Evergen was using could be put to better use to supply the northern Weyr during the harsher winters and they could use the extra dragonriders to fight Thread when it fell. While K'ton was the major driving force behind the whole idea, P'rel supports it staunchly to this day, unwilling to back down from a decision already made for what he believes will be for the good of his Weyr.

Weyrleader: P'rel of bronze TriothP'rel has been Weyrleader of High Reaches for so many turns that most never even question whether or not his bronze will fly the senior queen when she rises. He's got a chip on his shoulder thanks to that and he can't abide someone questioning his authority on matters. Even though he seems to take a second seat to K'ton in the conflict between his Weyr and Evergen, he is certain that choosing to ally with Telgar was the best choice for his Weyr. P'rel has also been dragonriding for so many turns that he tends to have an arrogant streak when it comes to other riders and he absolutely abhors the mutant colors of Evergen's stock. Dragons or not, he believes they should have been put down when they hatched.

Weyrwoman: Nisora of gold RelenthNisora is a quiet, mousy woman even as the Senior Weyrwoman. She follows P'rel's every beck and call and does his will where it helps because she has always been infatuated with him from the moment she arrived at High Reaches and Impressed her gold, meeting him then as a newly graduated rider. Every word that comes out of her mouth might have her voice, but it is P'rel's words. It's hard to get anywhere with the Senior Weyrwoman of High Reaches, but one thing is very clear. She is just as adamant about hating the mutations of Evergen as P'rel.

  • Jesindra of gold Loryth
Fort Weyr

Fort Weyr is currently the most neutral party with concerns to splitting Evergen apart and dividing her resources among the other Weyrs in the west. It's former Weyrleader T'gin had allied with High Reaches and Telgar Weyr, but with the loss of the position due to a younger, stronger bronze catching Fort's Senior queen, his ideals have been brushed aside. The current Weyrleader D'mos thinks that Evergen Weyr is a Weyr and should be left alone even though it has spawned some strange looking dragons. It might be small, but he believes his Weyr can survive without its riders and resources. While he is not openly an ally of Evergen, he's also not its enemy. Fort also remains on its own side, apart from the conflict that plagues Evergen, Telgar, and High Reaches.

Weyrleader: D'mos of bronze RodathD'mos is a younger rider with ideals that sometimes tend to clash with some of the older riders. The first thing he did after T'gin's bronze lost Siaveth's mating flight was to put an end to the strife between Fort and Evergen. He apologized for his former Weyrleader's behavior and offered condolensces to Evergen for the bronzerider they lost in the petty duel for its autonomy. While he is not truly taking sides, he helps Evergen as much as he aids Telgar and High Reaches when they need it. He's a kind fellow that has taken to his leadership role well despite what he had to work with, which may be due in part to Yrela's influence, but one can never really be sure.

Weyrwoman: Yrela of gold SiavethThough her Weyrleader is a young man, Yrela is almost twice his age, though she doesn't look too much older than he does thanks to the strange extension of human lives when bonded to dragons. She has been Senior Weyrwoman of Fort for longer than K'ton has been Weyrleader of Telgar and she's seen everything and knows just about everyone. She believes this tension betweent the Weyrs is a stupid, petty waste of time, energy, and resources, and if she could have made T'gin see reason, she would have. Though D'mos is young and she doesn't have really any romantic attachment to him, she has supported him so well in his reign as Weyrleader that it is unlikely his dragon will fail to catch hers so long as she still rises. The experienced Weyrwoman rules her home with a padded iron fist and most of Fort looks up to her and loves her as their Senior Weyrwoman.

Evergen Weyr and Carcara Hold NPCs

  • Master Dragonhealer - Mershal with gold firelizard Sophie
Mershal is an old man. Some often joke and wonder whether he is older even than the headwoman or if they are the same age or not. Regardless of his age, the infirmary would not run half as smoothly as it does without him. Many say that there isn't a thing about healing that Mershal doesn't know. He started out as a beastcrafter early in life and has a very well known interest in breeding and genetics, which he often keeps logs and journals for fire lizard clutches, dragon clutches, and even runner and canine births. Mershal is a kind hearted man, lest one incite his ire, when he can be just as caustic as an upset Weyrlingmaster. Many people claim he missed his calling and should have Impressed and become a Weyrlingmaster for that reason. His gold fire lizard Sophie, in his words, is the boss. She is the one who runs things, even though it might look like he has complete control over his infirmary.
  • Headwoman - Tavra with bronze firelizard Hawk the Tattler
Tavra runs the lower caverns and kitchens with an iron fist. She is an older woman that has almost quite literally seen and heard it all. There is no excuse she has not had fall upon her ears or prank she hasn't seen pulled. She appreciates and rewards the hard work of candidates and punishes the slackers. This can very often lead to a grade-school mentality among the drudges, candidates, and other lower caverns folk where the headwoman has her favorites. Her bronze firelizard has been dubbed 'the Tattler' because even if Tavra isn't around he is always watching, and no one seems to get away with anything because he'll dutifully replay anything for Tavra for a bit of a treat.
  • Weyrsinger - Greenrider Umiria
  • Candidate Masters - Alyshar of green Presath
  • Weyrlingmasters - Ad'rik of blue Tivoth and X'vian of brown Garouth (PC - Panzer)
  • Carcara Lord Holder - Lord Holstad
Holstad is a young man just into his late twenties who took over leadership of Carcara hold in his early twenties. He already has the beginnings of a good sized family and he enjoys every moment he can spend with them. But his Hold is his family too, and he does everything he can to make sure they are all well provided for. Even though he might seem immature in the way he can get down and play in the dirt with the kids one moment, he has a mind for numbers and merchant strategy and can runner-trade with the best of any Bitran. Holstad is very much a two sided coin in this regard and also seems to have taken in Evergen's wherhandlers as a secondary family, providing them with their own Wherhold and anything else they may ask of him.
  • Carcara Lady Holder - Lady Telera
Telera just isn't sure about her husband sometimes. He seems to get a lot of hair-brained ideas into his head, but he's an accepting sort of man, which is what makes him endearing to her and to most others he comes in contact with. Telera prefers to run the Hold with some healthy skepticism and doesn't jump to decisions on the spot like her husband does. Often she prefers to get a second opinion and talk things through, making dealings with her go a little longer than many think they should, so most prefer to speak to Holstad instead.
  • Saddle Lord Holder - Lord Varlin
Varlin is the epitome of friendly and civil, perhaps too civil when it comes to the ladies. He's a shameless flirt, but still a devoted husband and father, so don't let him fool you. Words are Varlin's tools, his means to an end and he's a master at using them. Unlike his selfish and entitled brother who went on to Evergen to Impress a brown dragon of his own, Varlin's interests lie in those around him. He's a young Holder--not so young as Holstad--but leads with confidence and an air of experience beyond his years.
  • Saddle Lady Holder - Lady Brenna
  • Two Spars Lord Holder - Lord Vearjuion
A hardened middle aged man leading his Hold under the pretenses of turns before, Vearjuion's grasp on Two Spars hasn't wavered in the cold weather of the successful Hold. Sharing the beliefs of the Weyr they are beholden to, Two Spars shows its support for Telgar staunchly. Even though Vearjuion's own daughter, Jayna, had impressed one of Evergen's "abominations." Once his mind is made up, it is very difficult for him to waver in those perspectives. Saddened by his son Andaer's death in Threadfall after impressing a bronze at Telgar Weyr, Vearjuion sticks by the Telgar riders who protect his territories. Vearjuion is a pig-headed man who if cornered opts only to lash out in hasty assumptions rather than looking for valid facts. He is no friend of Evergen's and has chosen his sides. Even Jayna is not welcomed back in his Hold. He hopes his eldest son will follow in his footsteps. Children: Nyara (f), Daeron (m), Aderian (m), Turin (m), and Vanessa (f).
  • Two Spars Lady Holder - Lady Adanyssta
    • A soft spoken woman who despite her husband's overbearing qualities, tries to keep the peace the best she can. She does not try to dispute her husband's wishes but tries to make sure that he doesn't come across as being brash and abrasive. She loves her children deeply and aches to know her daughter is out there on her own basically but she knows that Vearjuion's wishes are what goes. She believes her husband needs to relax and stop being so stuck on Telgar's decrees and ideals since she isn't so sold on their perspective. Her logical ways keep her from embracing her husbands opinions and she hopes that one day he'll see the error in his thinking but until then she remains and dutiful wife standing by her husband, no matter how much his decisions don't sit well with her.
