Name – Angkarin Iron-back Age – 26 Gender – Male Alignment – Chaotic Neutral Social Class – Outcast Occupation – Hedge mage Race – Human Nationality – Angkarian Weapons – Oak Quarterstaff, Ritual Dagger Physical Appearance – Angkarin Iron-back is a relatively tall and gangly example of a human. His hair is black, streaked with grey hairs from years of living on the fringe of society. He stands roughly 6'4" and weighs only 175lbs. His face, arms, and chest are scarred from the encounters with feral animals over the years, and he generally looks rather feral himself, with stubble left even after shaving with his dagger, and his clothes are equally worn, faded into a dull brown robe and the belt having darked to a black in the years of exposure. Personality – Angkarin is a rather cynical man, enjoying the solitude he is so used to after years as an outcast. Now however, he has adopted the attitude of a sell-sword, always looking for the next contract, selling his services to whoever can afford them. He does not trust easily, and loses faith in those who he does trust easily. He does not count on the help of others if he can help it. He does however abide by the teachings of his former tutor, and will always help another outcast, without asking anything in return. History – Born in a small village in the Luin Islands to a family that idolized strong sword arms and stronger shield arms, Angkarin was the runt of his siblings, and quickly made to feel as if he couldn't measure up to them. He always strove to impress his father and never met his father's expectations. Due to the training of his childhood he did develop some skill with melee combat, but not to his father's standards. At 15 he was disowned by his family, and shunned from the village. Without his knowing, the Mianorite gods had arrived, and at this point he stopped aging. He however, would not notice until years later as Angkar was primarily untouched. He spent the next several years living in the wild on the outskirts of a nearby village. It took several years before he noticed he had no longer been aging, remaining a teen for what must have been years. During a stormy week when he had counted 4 years since he was exiled, remembered what the village elders had said during the ceremony when he was exiled, they had told him to always fear those who wield the power of magic, as they aren't bound by the same rules that apply to the many who cannot even imagine wielding it. With this is his head, he visited the village he had been living near, several miles away, and started listening for rumors. After a week, he learned of a fellow outcast, who had been thrown out for a display of magic. He followed rumors and found this outcast's camp, watching for a little while before realizing it was no longer inhabited. Wondering what had happened, he further investigated the campsite. He was suddenly rooted in place and his eyesight blurred, as a shadowy figure appeared before him. After a short introduction not devoid of threats from the stranger, he learned this man's name, Jolir, and that he was a mage living like this after being exiled. Angkarin told him his past, and what he had been told of magic, and after hearing his story Jolir offered to train him. In Jolir's words, "Us outcasts got ta stick tagether ya'know." Spending years under his tutelage, Angkarin was able to learn basic magic, being as Jolir was only a hedge mage experimenting on his own with no real training himself. After the time distortion ended, he noticed that he began aging, and Jolir had been old before the distortion came in, and was slowly expiring. After realizing there was nothing he could do to save his tutor, and his friend, Angkarin kept a vigil over Jolir, and gave him a proper burial after he passed on. Listening to his tutors instructions, Angkarin took anything he needed from what was left of the campsite, including his tutor's snakewood quarterstaff and a silver ritual dagger. After this he began wandering the islands, selling his services to any who would pay him a worthwhile amount. He was not adverse to illegal jobs and would take any work that didn't violate his odd set of morals. His goal was to be able to afford to further his training in magic, as well as experimenting further with what he already knew, trying new weaves of magic when he could. He has also developed a longing for the sea, spending many weeks camped along a beach, he longs to sail the seas. First Five Abilities
