SUMMER

Angkar: Wet season. Precipitation is common during the late afternoon and evening hours. Vegetation grows significantly during the summer, but flooding is a danger due to the monsoons that ravage the country. The rainforest sees evenly distributed rainfall throughout the season.

Ashoka: Desert: Extremely hot and dry. Violent, heavy downpours following long dryspells. Jungle: Hot and humid with frequent, violent rainstorms.

Morrim: Relatively hot and dry, but with a chance of thunderstorms from time to time. The heat may cause forest fires.

Soto: Hot and humid, tree cover is dense while ground growth is restricted. Thunderstorms see the most amount of rainfall during the season, and it can be very windy. On occasion, there are flash floods that can destroy homes and farms built on flood plains.

WHAT IS ELENLOND?

Elenlond is an original free-form medieval fantasy RPG set on the continent of Soare and the Scattered Isles, which are located to the south in the Sea of Diverging Waters. The four chief nations of the western side of the world—Ashoka in northern Soare, Soto in western Soare, Morrim in eastern Soare, and Angkar, the largest of the Scattered Isles—continue to experience growth and prosperity since the fall of the Mianorite gods, although power struggles within the countries—or outside of them—continue to ensue.

  • CURRENT EVENTS

    Angkar: To honour the reinvigoration of the ancient city of Mondrágon, the majestic Queen Eulalia has permitted the opening of a Coliseum where people from around the world and all walks of life can test their combat skills against one another. Many have already done battle in search of honour, glory, prizes and money.

    Ashoka: In an otherwise peaceful times, Ashokans are beset with the relatively minor inconveniences of wandering undead and occasionally-aggressive giant rock worms. There has also been some controversy over the recent re-legalisation of human sacrifice.

    Morrim: Rumour has it that Emperor Leofric de Hollemark is mustering forces for a war. Though the threat from Soto’s forests has passed, the forces previously employed in watching the forest now linger at the border. Rumours also circulate of a small group that has been dispatched to make contact with the tribes of the Do’suul Mountains.

    Soto: The Sotoans have defeated the fey and liberated themselves from Méadaigh’s oppression! Preliminary efforts have been made at rebuilding the city of Madrid, which had been captured at the beginning of the war. However, the Sotoans are hindered from recovery famine. Méadaigh’s magic caused summer to persist in the Erth’netora Forest through the winter. Her power has been withdrawn and the plants die as if preparing for winter – even though it is now summer. The Sotoans must sustain off what food they can get, what creatures they can kill and what can be imported into the city from Morrim and Angkar.

    Weapons

    Daggers: Two daggers made from magnesium alloys formed to be strong against breaking and sharp enough to cut without much force. The hilts of the daggers are carved from deer bone to fit perfectly into her hands.

    Longbow The longbow that Antheia used was carved by herself from deer bone, tipped in metal, and horse hair. It has intricate runes carved into it. The arrows that she uses are also made from bones and metal.


    Physical Appearance – Antheia stands at the not intimidating height of 5 foot four. Her body forms a curvaceous hourglass with a volumptuous chest, wide hips, and thick thighs. Though she is not overweight for her height she carries a bit of chub in her stomach that evens out her curves. Her skin is a light golden tanned color with light brown freckles sprayed across it. These freckles are most concentrated when found on her shoulder and across the bridge of her nose and cheeks. Her face is a sharp heart shape with high cheekbones and a slightly long forehead. Her ears are tipped in the elvish blood fashion. Her lips are thick and bow shaped, a light shade of plum. The girl's eyes are a wide almond shape. The left eye is a deep forest green while the right is an amber brown. The left eye has a scar running from her eyebrow through her eye and into the cheek. This scar makes where it touches her iris slightly milky and her vision in this eye can be murky at times. Her nose is small and slightly upturned at the end. The girl's hair falls to her mid back in thick red waves. She normally wears the sides of her hair in tight braids on her scalp while the top is braided back down her head and the braids all meet in the middle and the rest of her hair hangs free(think Octavia from the 100). From her head sprouts a pair of elk like horns made from birchwood tree limbs. She wears clothes made from the leather that she gets from her kills. Mostly she can be found in a pair of leather pants paired with a leather wrap around her chest. She chooses to not wear shoes most of the time. On her fingers the girl wears an array of metal molded rings in the form of runes and pentacles. Around her neck are a slew of necklaces carrying crystals. Her body is riddled with scars that she wears proudly. On the back of her neck the girl has a delicate pentacle tattoo in black ink. The tattoo has the normal pentacle along with a celtic knot encircling it as well as a ribbon circling the outside with the directions of spirit, fire, earth, air, and water. She walks with a slight limp in her left leg due to a mishap on a contract.

    Personality – Antheia is a quite soul. She chooses not to speak unless spoken to unless someone catches her attention. She keeps to herself and is often labeled as a loner. Though she likes her solitude the girl is well versed in how to act around others to get what she wants. Therefore she is quite manipulative. She does not really enjoy manipulating others though and so she only does so when she feels it is completely necessary. She has been raised to believe that relationships are only a hinderance and so she has a cold exterior. Because she never learned how to form real relationships the girl is a bit stunted. She does not know how to create lasting friendships or how to love. She simply knows how to exist. Her life's work has also caused the girl to grow ptsd. She is constantly on edge and sometimes falls into fits by experiences that remind her of her profession. This PTSD is also colored with instances of intense OCD. This OCD causes her to need to repeat certain movements or actions multiple times. It also causes her to be a neat freak, though she is not a germaphobe. If she does not get to complete these actions that her OCD causes she falls into a fit as well. Because of this strange existence the girl has not really tried to make any lasting connections. Even so she has a heart of gold buried beneath it. She would never hurt someone that she was not contracted to do so, or someone who attacked her first. She tries to help anyone she deems worthy. She has a very strong belief in her own worth but her self esteem can waver at times. She remembers her life as an outcast and longs to never feel that way again, one of the reasons for her solitude. She believes that everyone gets what is coming to them and is a strong believer in karma. She is very superstitious and performs rituals and special acts to keep herself safe from such things. Antheia will never take a contract from someone that she feels is asking for a death that is not warranted. She only kills those she deems worthy. Because of this she does not see her job as wicked. Instead she believes she is doing the world a service. The girl has a closeness with nature and enjoys being outside far greater than inside. Because of her affinity to nature she will hold a grudge against anyone who harms it in anyway. Her favorite time is when the sky is threatening to rain and the world seems to be praying for the sustenance. Because she was never able to be a child she can sometimes revert into a child like state. She is easily fascinated by beautiful and shiny things. She likes to ask questions about things that she does not understand. She also has no concept of personal space.

    History – Antheia was born into a family of assassins. From a young age she was trained in the family trade. Because of the harsh training and the gory subject matter of her family's job she was never truly allowed to be a child. Instead she was used as a weapon. Antheia's family never showed her any kind of love. They simply treated her like an employee. Through vigorous training she grew to be one of the most skilled killers in the family clan and so she expanded her work to different lands as she grew into her teens. When she met others in this new land she was considered an outcast. Others thought she was evil, both for her profession and her magical skill set. She was hated by almost everyone she met. This caused her to become cold and choose a solitary life. The only time she communicated with others was when she was accepting a contract or if she needed to to finish a kill. She has come to Elenlond in the search for a place that she could be accepted, profession and all.

    Familiar Antheia has the familiar of a Peryton called Ethne. Ethne has the head, antlers, neck, forelegs, chest, and upper torso of a large stag. She stands at a large 17.3 hands tall. Her coat is a sooty grey with darker black points on her mouth, nose, ears and knees. Her hooves are black and cloven like most deer. Her eyes are are dewey chocolate color with plentiful lashes. Her antlers have ten points on them and are a dark black color. From her shoulders protrude large wings, like those of a harpy eagle. The underside of the feathers are the lighter grey of her coat white the tops are the deep almost black color of her markings. There are darker stripes under her wings along with lighter strips above her wings, like with any bird. They span out beside her in a large wingspan but fold nicely to her side. Her hindquarters are that of a harpy eagle. Her talons are a light grey with deep black claws. Her legs are the sooty color of her coat, though now it is made of feathers. Her plumage is also that of a harpy eagle. Her tail spreads outwards past her body and is long enough to drag behind her. The top of her tail is once more the dark ebony of the top of her wings while under it the coloring is light grey with darker points.



    First Five Abilities
    • Familiar Antheia's familiar Ethne is able to speak and be understood by both Antheia and the others around her as well as understand them.
    • Necromancy – At the lowest level of her powers Antheia is only able to raise small creatures such as birds and small rodents. She can only raise one at a time. The animal can only have been dead for less than three weeks for her to bring it to life. The animal will not return to pristine condition. Instead it will come back to life in the same condition in which it died, though it can sustain its life. This drains Antheia and she becomes quite tired afterwards.
    • Alchemy – Antheia has advanced knowledge of herbs and other things and can make potions and such from them. For now they can only be simple spells and potions that last for only a couple of days (up to a week).
    • Dagger Prowess – Antheia is more skilled than most in the art of using her daggers (about 25%).
    • Bow Prowess – Antheia is more skilled than most in the art of using her bow (about 25%).
