They are all your prey. -- Erth'netora Forest -- A light breeze washed through the Erth'netora, rustling the leaves ever so gently, sounding like a gentle rain one could fall asleep to. It was only an hour and a half into dawn, the sun still rising to fully greet all of the plants and trees below. A few lazy clouds drifted by, still lingering from the day before. Nary a noise, aside from the rustle of the leaves, was made. Shiro listened to her own heartbeat. Slow thumps, calm, a underlying bass note to indicate there is indeed life still coursing through her veins. She let out a quiet breath, a small sigh. This is one of the biggest reasons she hunted. This peaceful moment of her day. *snap* The catgirl slowly looked to her left, her prey was trodding down the deer path, a 6 point buck. She mentally talked to the creature. Good morning, out looking for some delicious corn? Or perhaps find a mate? You do look like you have a bit of meat on your bones... her thoughts trailed off as she nocked and readied an arrow. The deer continued down its path, slowly. Lowering its head every few feet or so to sniff the ground. It paused as it laid eyes upon the corn pile a few yards ahead of it. The deer closed the distance and stopped right at the foot of the pile, looking around. It sniffed the corn, trying to determine if this was some elaborate ruse from a predator. Sensing that things were ok, it began to munch on the corn. Shiro's lips crept up her face into a smile, she made a mental note to continue hunting further north. The deer seem to be plentiful. The Neko let out another long breath, steeling her nerves. *thwip* The arrow flew true, it hit the deer dead on. It yelped and stumbled, kicking frantically. The deer collapsed on the ground. Shiro then breathed normally again. Then the deer sprang up and bolted, arrow sticking out of it and all. The catgirl huffed, and leapt down after the deer. She slung up her bow and chased after the deer. It was fast but she could keep up just enough to keep it in her sights. She could have tracked it down and waited until it died, but she wanted her damn arrow back. The trees swooshed past her as she kept her focus on the deer, making sure it didn't veer off and go somewhere else. What Shiro didn't notice was the trees were starting to thin out and turn into plains. Finally the deer collapsed into a bloody heap a few hundred yards from a small village. The neko, panting from all the running, caught up with the dead deer and retrieved her arrow. She drew a knife and proceeded to cut, skin, and ready most of the meat. She took a few minutes to control her breathing and get settled down. Only then did she look up and get her bearings. Wait, this place didn't look familiar at all. Nothing at all looked like Soto. Soto didn't have a lot of vast plainage...everywhere. Something wasn't right. -- Approx. 10km South from Kinaldi-- A small bout of panic shot down her spine. Where did she end up? This wasn't good. Horribly horribly los- Shiro took a deep breath, squishing the panic right away. No, not lost, just relocated to a new plain to exist in. She had food, water, and could make simple shelter if need be. All of that was besides the point, she looked up and eyed the village in the distance. She could see if there was an inn there, the least she could do is ask for directions. The little catgirl gathered all of her things and set towards the road leading to the village. There was quite a stream of people going in both directions, Shiro didn't want to stand out, thus she joined in the stream. No one batted an eye. As she neared the outskirts of the village, she pulled off to the side, eyeing up someone who looked like they were from around here. She reached over and tapped them on the shoulder, "Excuse me? Do you have a moment?" She asked over the din of the crowd around the two. Just asking for some directions, and I will be out of your hair in no time... |

((Hope this is ok!)) Usually, she avoided trouble. She liked to go about her work without a hitch and then be on her way. She was good at what she did, so that wasn't very hard, but every once and a while a deal would pop up that made her understood the draw of criminal activity. Nevada had started her day like any other, up as the sun started to rise and down for breakfast as it was starting to creep through the curtains to wake the rest of the world up. The inn she had stayed in was a nice one, a solid structure with clean bedding, warm meals for a little extra, and a spacious stable for her donkey friend. The brisk woman who rand it didn't even comment on her ears or tail, just looked her up and down, stated she wouldn't tolerate trouble, and took her money without any more comment. Nevada wasn't one to bring trouble to bed with her, that was for sure, but occasionally she brought it to work with her. Biting into the warm roll end eggs that she had been given as she took a seat, the anthro thought about the deal she was to discuss today. It wasn't one she would usually take on. A contact of her's had told her that a client of his was looking for someone to quietly take a bit of cargo to Soto. Apparently, Nevada's little operation had come up in conversation, and the client had asked to be put in contact. They had set up a meeting to discuss the deal today. Now, most of the time Nevada did her best to keep her nose clean. Sure, she dealt with almost everyone who was interested, but she preferred to keep her skin on her body, and that usually meant avoiding the more... questionable deals. But every now and then, something would be to much to resist. This deal was one of those. As far as the trader knew, the client simply wanted her to transport something. For a job so simple, the amount offered had be ludicrous, and Nevada had been drawn in. She had to at least check it out. So, swallowing her last mouthful of breakfast and pulling her cap over her ears - despite the heat - and her cloak around her shoulders, strutting out of the inn with a promise to return later. She headed toward the outskirts of the town, easily maneuvering the streets to come to a small plaza, the supposed meeting spot for this deal. She understood why. The plaza was nicely busy, and two individuals talking would go unnoticed. The problem was, Nevada had very little idea about who she was meeting. "He's big and probably be wearing a guild badge. You'll know him when you see him." was all her contact had given her. With a sigh, Nevada turned to give the area a once over. No conspicuous large men about, she supposed she would have to wait. A tap to her shoulder made her turn. a woman about her size stood before her, and the resemblance was almost disturbing. Slightly shorter, whiter hair, white cat ears, and grey eyes, the individual standing before her with an inquisitive look on her face could have easily been mistaken for her to the people who didn't know her well. Quickly wiping the look of shock off her face, Nevada focused back on what the girl was saying. "Yes, what is it?" ------ "She's really short and has cat ears, she'll be hard to miss." The description of the merchant that was supposedly to transport his benefactors cargo was less than satisfactory, but he had to admit, the features were distinct enough to stand out. Puffing up his chest, he continued forward towards the plaza where he was to meet his business partner. Exiting the connecting alleyway, the man stopped and began to scan the area for this so called Nevada. |

The plaza surged slightly, a small fervor razing the whole area, the crowed shifted and grew. A normal marketplace. Shiro braced instinctively for an attack from the person. Thankfully no such attack came, the stranger - of which Shiro made a quick profile of - wasn't much taller than her. Just another slightly shorter than normal female merchant by any novelty of success. The woman was wearing a cap and cloak, which Shiro noted to be a little odd due to the heat. A bit hypocritical of herself, glancing upward toward her hood. Shiro finally beheld upon the woman's visage and nearly died on the spot. Disbelief. Shiro's heart pounded in her chest, her sudoriparous glands working nearly double time. Her hands trembled. Shiro's tale flicked wildly. The poor neko was in utter shock. A single, cold drop of sweat ran down the middle of her back. Goosebumps streaked down her arms and legs. Her senses broke off into triple overtime. Nothing else in this world meant more to her at this moment. She had to talk to this woman. She had to know something. "I..." the grey eyed neko was at a loss for words. The world just ground to a agonizing halt at this moment. Days, Weeks, Months, Years had passed and Shiro thought that she was the only one of her kind to live upon these lands. Her mind was mush, not a single coherent thought could muster enough strength to take lead. "You..." she mumbled, again for a loss of words. Mentally slapping herself hard. Shiro regained her wits. This was crazy. Insane. The little neko only hoped that she wasn't hallucinating. She realized that the woman was staring at her, bemused. Shiro needed to say something, and fast, not to scare off this miracle of a person placed before her. "Hello. I was going to ask for directions, but it seems that some mysterious power set our paths to cross." Her voice shaky, but concise, " We are of the same kin, no? If it is no trouble for you, I must learn. I know next to nothing of who, or what, I am and I want-no, NEED to know. These answers have been alluding me for years since I first stepped foot on these lands." Shiro grew in confidence with each word she spoke. She hoped that her plea would be answered by this woman. "I beg of you, please help a weary huntress find the answers she has spent her life looking for." Shiro pleaded. The young neko still had difficulty coming to terms with her luck(?). Somehow she had managed to land another of her species. Out of all the people here in this plaza she picked Nevada, the probability of such an event almost zero. Yet here she was, staring another Anthro down in the eyes. It didn't help that the pair looked eerily similar. Adding a surreal effect to this whole situation Shiro sensed a small air of uneasiness, she was brash, and jumped way in over her head. "Ah, forgive me. I have seemed to quick with my words, getting ahead of myself. I am Shiro Sogeki of Reine, Soto. It would be strange to say I have been waiting for you," but oddly fitting, "...you are?" Shiro stated with kindness, extending her hand in a gesture of respect, a mutual ground both parties could feel good upon. A handshake. Shiro waited with eager breath. Truth be told, she was utterly ecstatic. Finally she wasn't alone anymore! This was fantastic news! It didn't matter even if this woman didn't like her or didn't want to help. The mere fact that she existed was all Shiro needed to believe that she could uncover the mystery that was her past. |

The anxiety was building up in her belly, and Nevada wasn't sure if she was doing a very good job of hiding it. Her new found companion seemed similarly dumbfounded, to the point of stuttering. Nevada's ears and tail twitched in their confined spaces, everything around her basically melting away as questions stated to poke into her thoughts. Nevada had never really been concerned with what she was; she had simply believed that she was a mistake, something that could happen when you mixed magical and non-magical blood. Her brother had come out unscathed, human in every sense, but maybe something had gone wrong when her mother was pregnant with her. The birth had been quite difficult after all. But the thought that there could have been someone out there that could be even remotely similar to her had never really occurred to her. Apparently it had occurred to this other anthro many a time. mysterious powers indeed. The surprised that Nevada had seen in her face was taken over by excitement as she spoke, surprisingly formally for how fast she was talking and for the situation itself. This girl had been trying to figure this out for how long? This seemed to be more about finding more people like her to this anthro. Shiro, Nevada corrected mentally. Now this was something she was more comfortable with, handshakes were much easier than running into someone you had never thought existed. "Nevada Zaltana." She said, shaking the younger womans hand firmly, like any other business adventure she would have. But this wasn't a business venture, it wasn't even close. Her nostrils flared as she breathed in, thinking over her words carefully. "I'm-" "Excuse me?" Nevada could have smacked this person, though as she whipped her head to look, slapping them might have been a bad idea, let alone difficult. The man standing to her left was massive to say the least, and a badge shone on his chest, giving him an air of authority. "I believe you are my contact, miss." The anthro's brain quickly switched back to the business deal she was meant to be having this morning. "Yes," Nevada worked her jaw, "I'll be with you in a moment." The man nodded and huffed off a few paces. turning back to Shiro, Nevada bit her lip. This wasn't a deal she wanted to lose, but this other anthro just showing up wasn't just something that she could ignore either. 'Ok," Nevada nodded, released Shiro's hand and reached for her coin purse. "I'm sorry, I have business that I have to attend to, but if you still want to talk-" she pulled out two pieces of silver and shoved them into Shiro's hand. "- I'm staying at the Buck's Rack Inn. Give these to the woman at the front desk and tell her you're a friend of mine. She'll let you wait in the hall and will feed you if I'm not back before lunch." She stared at the slightly shorter - that was a new one - person standing in front of her, solidifying her resolve. "I don't know if I'll be able to help you at all, Shiro, but I want to see how this goes." She took a step away, nodding her head at the girl "I'll see you at the Inn." With that, she turned and trotted to where her contact was waiting. It was time for work. |

Shiro had braced for the absolute worst, that this new-found Anthro would just do away with her simply with a backhanded comment. But the look upon her face said the opposite. She was just as confused and surprised as Shiro. They shook hands, and this mysterious anthro looked visibly relieved at the minute gesture. She did look the part of merchant. Finally, after what felt like eons had past, Shiro learned the anthro's name. Nevada. A strange name, but in hindsight so was Shiro's. Besides the point, they both were oddities in this world. Someone or something played themselves together. Making a mental note to look into something of that sort later. Shiro watched as a huge man approached the pair and interrupting this celestial meeting. She eyed up this man, a shady looking type no less. If extreme situations came to a head, Shiro could have him eating one of her arrows in roughly 4 seconds. He had business with Nevada. The anthro before her was clearly trying to figure things out, which option to take. In a flash, Nevada had pushed some silver into Shiro's hand. Giving her a quick explanation if she would like to continue this later. A place called the Buck's Rack Inn, and to get accommodations to wait for Nevada. After something of a half promise, Nevada left for her dealings. It was a kind gesture of Nevada to give her some money, but Shiro had plenty of her own to use. She pocketed the silver pieces in a quick access pouch, they will be returning back to their original owner soon. Shiro headed for the nearest meat stand to sell her recently acquired venison. The neko was forced to sell the meat due to this change of plans, but she was perfectly content with that fact. There was bigger issues to take care of. Selling the meat was quick and simple, only occasionally the buyer would try to scam some nonsense about ruined meat and selling this and that blah blah blah. Shiro knew how to work around it and stealthily destroyed any arguments the meat marketer might have had. Realizing he had been beat, he forked over the money and Shiro was on her way. Pockets filled a little more. Finding Buck's Rack Inn was plenty easy. It was only a block away. Shiro's nerves were still reeling from her encounter, an aftereffect of such an astounding discovery. The catgirl entered the Inn and spoke with the woman at the counter. Instead of giving her the two silver that was intended for this transaction, Shiro used two gold from her own wallet. That bought the neko a nice brunch meal and gave her some privacy as well while she waited. Two whole gold pieces took her from 'just another part of the riff-raff' to 'Indeed, right this way, Ma'am'. Shiro ate her fill and waited. There was an underlying sense of unease the longer she waited. What if it was some clever excuse to get the catgirl out of Nevada's hair? Shiro shook off those negative thoughts. She was being to pessimistic about the whole situation. That Nevada seemed just as surprised and interested as Shiro was. There was no way that Nevada just wanted to do away with her, there were so many questions that needed to be answered, by each party it seemed. After a small while, the catgirl noticed that she was agitated. Her tail was twitching wildly and she was all tensed up for no real good reason. The neko stopped and took a deep breath in an attempt to calm her nerves. Today was a monumental day and it was hard to come down from that. It was nearing lunchtime. Shiro was growing worried that Nevada was okay. She half wondered if she should leave the Inn and search for the anthro. No, Nevada did instruct that she wait here. So Shiro waited. |

Nevada hefted her satchel over her shoulder as she was dismissed from her dealings, money pouch heavier than before and a locked case of handsome gemstones hidden in behind her personal belongings. Her job was simply to transport the case of -questionably obtain mind you - gems to a Sotoan guild, where she would get the second half of her pay. This was not their first time doing this, that was obvious. It had also been obvious that Nevada's whole mind hadn't been in the deal. She was still thinking about Shiro and the sudden turn of events that had occurred this morning. It certainly hadn't effected her negotiation ability, but it certainly had made it hard to concentrate. Even now, as she retraced her steps back to the Buck's Rack Inn, she was walking fast, wanting to get there quickly and see if Shiro had actually waited. It was hard to say honestly. Nevada was a complete stranger, why would the other anthro just take her word and wait for her? On the other, Shiro seemed even more shocked and awed about the whole thing that Nevada was, and she had talked like she had been waiting for this moment her whole life. The unassuming front of the Buck's Rack came into view as Nevada trotted around the corner. She took a breath and pushed through the heavy wooden doors, entering the warmly lit lobby. The woman behind the counter glanced up at her, not even bothering to stop whatever she was doing with her hands. "You're friend is in the back." The woman went back to work as Nevada thanked her and headed toward the sitting area. People from the inn had already started congregating for lunch, the smells of soup and fresh bread pushing into merchants nose as she navigated around, looking for her new companion. Her ears twitched under her cap as she spotted the other girl toward the back of the room, pushed off into a more private table near a window. As Nevada approached, she pulled off her cap and began undoing her cloak. "sorry for the wait." She called as she approached the table, pulling out the chair across from the other catgirl. Nevada placed her cloak and satchel across the back of her chair, sighing as she slumped into it. Taking a moment to gather he bearings, Nevada took a moment to reassess the other. Shiro appeared agitated, tail twitching and body tensed. Nevada would have been too if someone had kept her waiting that long, she wasn't even sure if she would have waited this long. But Shiro had, so this wasn't something she should take lightly. "So," Nevada placed her cap on the table, leaning forward. "Where do we start?"She paused "Or maybe, what do you want to know? I don't know if I'm going to be very helpful to be honest." |

"So," started Nevada as she sat down. She looked a bit flustered by Shiro's calculations, "where do we start?" Shiro almost leapt out of her chair. She had so long to think things out while waiting for Nevada to get back, she had all the questions lined up and ready to go. It was a lot easier in theory, but now Shiro had Nevada's undivided attention and everything kind of just collapsed in upon itself once more. The sight of her was still shocking to Shiro. The catgirl remembered the money that was given to her, she sat up and quickly fished out the coins. She slid them, plus a few extra she had made from the meat she had sold, over to Nevada. "For you, and for your time." Shiro stated warmly, she was almost beaming. There was a long silence after the exchange. She huffed, the neko had to start somewhere. Just sitting awkwardly in front of the anthro would do nothing to further her pursuit of knowledge. "I suppose we start from the beginning? Y'know, where you came from, grew up? I cannot begin to thank you for existing...which is an odd thing to say I will admit, but you have given me hope. Say, shall I begin?" Shiro spoke as calmly as she could. It was tough to not hurry her words and get overly excited. "I," Shiro started, " am not from here, as in this world...I think. I haven't seen any place that resembles my home anywhere on this continent. Not to mention I feel like I am in a foreign place to begin with." Shiro began, straining what little memories she had available. "This seems to be the most logical conclusion I can come to terms with. How and why I got here is a complete mystery to me." "I was born to two normal parents that were just like me-ears, tail and all. My father was a hunter and he taught me everything I know about and how to use this bow," Shiro started, gesturing to the bow slung across her back, "he was a kind and patient man. My mother was a tailor, she made lots of clothes, even this scarf of mine. The only possession I have of her," the neko stroked her scarf gently. She wiped a tear away from her eye. This was a whole lot of emotions for her and it was hard to control. "That is about all I know about them." There was another long silence. Shiro let the words she has said rest before she continued. "I ,um , lost my memories some odd years ago. It's jarring to say the least, but bits and pieces still remain, haunting me...taunting me," she sighed, "I thought since I found you, maybe you could help give some insight about who I am...or even what I am." She paused, and sighed. It was an excited stream of consciousness that she was blathering out to this almost stranger. "Whether you know it or not, you have helped me. It has given me all the motivation, and the determination I need to continue my search for my lost memories." The little neko shifted in her chair, sitting more comfortably. She idly studied the anthro before her, Nevada's azure/forest colored eyes gazed back at Shiro. The neko wondered what those eyes have seen and what they know. There are secrets behind every iris. It was a bit shrill now that Shiro could examine Nevada closer; the sheer similarities between the two was uncanny. Could Shiro be sitting in front of a lost sibling and not even be aware of such a thing? Her memories never did reveal that there was a brother or a sister in her family. While not ruling the sibling theory out completely, the chances of that being true were at a measly seven percent if Shiro could put a number to it. It still was a possible route. Shiro decided to shelve that idea and wait until she has exhausted all other routes. There was so much more to discover first. There were many routes to take, first and foremost however, she needed to know about Nevada. "Enough about me then, what about you?" |

She couldn't fault Shiro at her jumpiness; in fact, Nevada was once again feeling the initial thrill and shock of seeing someone that looked like her so close and so alive. She barely looked at the coins Shiro pushed towards her, though she could tell that it was more than she had initially given the other catgirl. The look on Shiro's face, pleased and satisfied, prevented her from arguing, and she pulled the coins towards herself. She nodded and listened intently as Shiro proceeded with her story. It was pretty heavy, Nevada had to admit, and not at all what she had expected. Despite all that, Nevada couldn't help but believe her. Her sincerity shone through, and Nevada thought herself pretty good at spotting a lie. When Shiro finished, Nevada took a moment to think everything over. She had never been thanked for existing before. "Well I'm not sure if I'll be of much help." Nevada said with a frown, her ears swiveling back and forth as she paused to consider how to proceed. She glanced down at the table then back up at Shrio, watching the other womans face. "My story isn't nearly as exciting. I was born and raised in Morrim, the country we are currently in. My father and mother both owned and worked a horse farm, training and breeding them for various people and causes." Nevada clasped her hands on the table fiddling with the coins that Shiro had pushed her way. "My family was relatively normal, all things considered. I had an older brother and we worked and played on the farm with my parents. The only thing that could be considered relatively odd was the fact that my mother was a shapshifter, an animagus, like her parents before her. More specifically, she could transform into a lynx." Nevada's ears pressed against the back of her skull as she thought of how to explain the rest. "I was, in a word, a mistake. My parents had wanted a second child, and were thrilled when I was conceived, but something had happened during the pregnancy, no one really knows what. My brother was conceived as fully human, not an odd thing about him. But me," she paused. This was sounding a lot sadder than it really was. Nevada had no qualms about what she was, and neither did her family. "I have come to believe that it was simply chance, something that might happen when you mix magical and non-magical blood. I wasn't fully human or fully animagus, so I was stuck somewhere in between." Sighing, Nevada leaned back in her chair, readying herself to tell the rest of the story. "This pregnancy and birth was very hard on my mother, and she never fully recovered her health. Never the less, I lived a perfectly happy childhood, my family loved me and treated me as they did my brother. The townsfolk had been shocked at my appearance, and, religious as they were, suspicious of me and the cause of my mothers weakness. I of course was to young to understand this. It was only when I was seven that I truly understood why the townspeople acted the way they did. My mother caught fever, and could not recover. When she passed away, the townspeople decided they had been tolerant enough. They marched to my family's home and demanded that my father get rid of me, the deformed devil that I was, supposedly the cause of all my family's and the towns hardship, or they would do it themselves. "My father argued, indignant at the incomprehensible request so soon after the loss of his beloved wife. But you can't use logic with a scared mob. Two days later I was packed up and sent to live with my grandparents, my mothers parents, in the mountains." She rubbed at her eyes. This was taking more out of her than she thought. She understood what had happened to her was terrible, but saying it out loud made the reality of the words ten times heavier. "My grandparents raised me from then on, with my brother and father still visiting whenever they could. They treated me kindly and gave me all the knowledge and skills that I would need to survive on my own. Maybe because they knew that my appearance might make my life hard, maybe it's because that was how they lived, who knows. At fifteen I decided to travel, and I have been ever since." She took her hand away from her eyes and crossed her arms, studying Shiro. Her large tail swayed behind her, the tip flicking back and forth with the minor agitation that she felt. She knew this was far from what Shiro probably expected of her. The other woman had probably hoped that she would have some similar story of lost memories and missing parents. Though you could argue that both the stories were equally sad, it was obvious that they came from completely different places. Nevada smiled slightly, tilting her head at the other girl. "Was any of that as you expected?" |

Shiro listened with rapt attention. Her tail flicking to and fro, excited. Carefully detailing and burning each word that the anthro spoke into memory. Despite being less exciting than Shiro's story, it was still something to behold anyhow. There was a certain air of sadness to her story. Almost right away the Neko noticed that this was taking a toll on Nevada, it wasn't something that she could easily tell. This was her childhood and the animosity she felt growing up. Shiro's complexion softened, "Hey, you don't have to tell me anything you don't want to. I know it's probably hard for you." her voice trailed off as Nevada continued onward. The catgirl never really did know what to expect of the anthro and her story. This was the first of her 'kind' she had met since she arrived in this strange land. And she was a product of magical blood and non-magical. This was intriguing nonetheless. Shiro had felt that there was something that was hidden in her being, she didn't know what it could have been, but magic? It seemed to be just out of the question...but not entirely impossible. Nevada continued with her tale, talking about her mother and complications with her birth. Shiro was taken aback, so much misery for such a being. Even having the townspeople force her away from her family. Shiro could relate, but not entirely. She had watched her father cut down in front of her. She could still see his pained, desperate expression on occasion. But to be forced out of her own home just because she looked different? That was unheard of. To put the cherry at the top of the cake, Nevada left and began her travels at the young age of fifteen. Fifteen! Imagine what could have happened to her, someone could have easily taken advantage of her or worse yet, killed her! The way the anthro talked, she made it sound like she was ashamed to be what she is. "Was any of that as you expected?" Shiro returned her gaze to Nevada, it wasn't at all what she had expected. "Well...yes and no, this gives me some insight into how people like us are made here. Whether you agree or not, you aren't a monster as those people make you out to be." Shiro spoke with as much confidence as she could. She wasn't known for pep talks, primarily because she wasn't good at them. "Although we may not be a native race here, we still exist and that is what truly counts." Her own voice sounded almost alien to her, but she continued, changing topics, "Someday's...I wish to go back home, to wherever. But other times I like it here, my life has been pretty successful." The little catgirl felt a small sense of pride swell inside her, "But... back home, I remember nothing but war and death. M-my father was killed before me, wrong place, wrong time." The neko tripped on her words, recovering, "Some days I ask if I really want to go back. But I don't think the problem is me going. I think the problem is; am I strong enough to face my past?" The words spilled from her mouth, without any heed to what she was saying. It was the raw truth and Shiro tried to stop herself, but the words just kept pouring out. If it wasn't her own mouth saying such things, she would have just discarded the notion as nonsense. "Only time will tell," the phrase hung in the air. Dangerous and foreboding. Shiro realized that she tensed up again, her tail rigid and her shoulders squared and raised. She took a deep breath, forcing herself to keep relaxed. "I'm sorry, this is quite exciting. I can't help but getting anxious," the neko told the other anthro. It wasn't a lie. "Was there any questions you have for me?" |
