Name – Askain Munroe Age – 38 Gender – Male Alignment – True Neutral Social Class – Street Rat Occupation – Forgotten Assassin Race – Human [Former Fox Anthro] Weapons – Askain has on his person an enchanted chakkar pouch (see below). Across his shoulders is strapped a contraption that allows him to hold three swords without the swords touching each other or making any noise. The central blade, straight down his back, is a khanda. On either side of this, descending down from each shoulder as well as making an "X" on his back, lay two tulwar swords. Where the contraption laced on his chest was another blade, this one a six inch kirpan. *Please note, that while these weapons are representative of the real life Sikh faith, this character, nor his use of the weapons, in any way descriptive of how Sikhs act or treat others with their weapons, either in modern times or previously. I merely like the uniqueness of the weapons and appreciate the cultures from which they came. The use of these weapons is not meant to be offensive in any manner.* Physical Appearance – Askain is a lightweight man, composed of very lean muscle. His height is that of 5' 11", and as such he weighs approx. 160 lbs. He keeps his hair close cut, but otherwise doesn't style it. Underneath everything he wears a simple shirt and hose, but over these he wears a few lays. Over his shirt he wears a doublet, with wooden buttons all the way down the middle. Over his hose he had breeches that fastened to his doublet, erasing the need for the belt the he wore over the breeches to hold them up. The belt that he wore was then instead used to carry simple tools, such as a small pouch for lockpicks, a pouch for his money, and a pouch with food. Also attached to his belt was a canteen carrying strap. Over his doublet he's custom made a leather, woven sheath holder for his various weapons. The straps for this go across his shoulders and meet a hands breadth under his chin, where then they descend straight down, covering the wooden buttons of his doublet, and connecting with the belt around his waist. The sheath holder did the same thing along his back, connecting on the belt in two different places. Personality – Askain's personality is always one that is hard to read. He's a person who likes to disguise his personality, and only display what is needed for the situation. He does what he needs to in order to get by. If caught unawares, one might find that he is contemplative. He enjoys the idea of just spending time with himself, which is why he survived mentally for so long (see history below). He'll spend hours contemplating and studying, something that comes in handy whenever he has a mark to kill. He will study their movements, their actions, their speech, and try to even analyze their thoughts. He plays chess with those who think that they know him, and is indeed a master strategist and academic. History – Askain was born the third of several young fox anthro pups. His siblings, each proficient in different branches of magic, taught their younger brother, Luminick, the same arts. It seemed only natural. Dark loved the prospect of the elements as a tool to destroy their enemies. Shomn thought that magic should be used to defend their loved ones. Askain thought that running was the cure, so he hid himself anywhere he could with his magic. Kate found that there was strength in numbers, so she learned to control creatures far and wide to accommodate with this idea. Time passed, and each of the young ones grew up. Dark, being the biggest trouble maker in the group, despite their natural trickery and trouble making, got the entire family in especially big trouble, more than they bargained for even. A witch that he'd decided to provoke decided that she'd had enough, and cursed the entire family of fox anthros to become humans, so that they too might feel the pain of the play of anthro children. Each one was devastated in turn, as they found their fur falling to the floor, their tail shrink, and their ears reform on the sides of their head, instead of the tops. The four older children, including Askain, decided that they each wanted to punish the world for their loss, while the youngest, Luminick, wasn't yet old enough to venture out on his own. Because of this he was left at home with his parents while the others ventured forth to find out what they could do about repaying the world for their loss. Years passed, and the four traveling siblings split up and met back up, each with their own advances and adventures. Askain fell in love, fell out of love, grew more powerful, and grew more confident in his abilities. Being the weakest of the four siblings, he knew his place in the pack. It took a long time, but Askain, along with the others, eventually learned of a power that was dwelling deep within them. Unbeknownst to them, each one was a fragmented reincarnation of an ancient being that created their world. They grew in power, and wished to destroy the deities that reigned over their lands. What better way to destroy the people then to destroy the ones that they held most dear? Using their power, they found other words in which to train themselves in the use of their new abilities. Askain went to a world inhabited with mainly peaceful denizens. He slunk into their surroundings, blending in, and eventually was able to find new and unique ways to kill them all. A whole planet full of people, gone, in little under a year. At that time he knew that he was ready to go back home and infiltrate the infrastructure of the deities. Returning home, he found his other siblings in a similar capability. They planned, and requested the aid of their youngest brother, Luminick. At his refusal, the oldest, Dark, banished him to a planet of darkness, reminiscent of the one that Luminick was rejecting. The four siblings, now without their youngest, attacked the world that they hated so much. Ten deities joined forces to defend the planet against the assault of the four siblings. Even though the siblings could match the deities punch for punch, they each lacked something that the defenders indeed had: teamwork, which they hadn't developed in their individual trainings. Through teamwork, the deities managed to give the Goddess of Water a chance at a good attack at one of them, and she plunged her blades into his chest, killing him. Askain died that day, and descended to the planet, lifeless, with two gaping knife wounds in each lung. His body lay on the field of battle, and his siblings, knowing that he was gone, grieved for him only shortly. Their war continued, and eventually they lost, betrayed by their brother returned to their world from the other world of darkness. Askain would have remained deceased forever, had it not been for the happenings that caused the Great Migration. His bodily remains, now white washed bones, fell through one of the rifts that opened in the planet. It is unknown, even to Askain, when he began to realize his life had returned. He had regrown his body, and some of the things that had happened to him before he remembered, but as far as why these things came to be, he didn't know. With spotty memory, weakened body, and no power at all to speak of, he didn't even take the time to realize that he was drifting through a different part of the void that the Great Migration was at that point in time taking place in. What he knew next was that he was he was laying on a dirt covered ground, cold and dusty. He could barely breath, and upon sitting up he found nothing of note to find out where he was. So it was that Askain came to a wasteland world, forced to live a life of wandering and foraging. Askain forced himself to remember a few things. Where he came from, what he had been doing whenever he died, some of the power that he had before (although he didn't have that same power). He remembered how to do simple things. Make magical fires, produce light, teleporting short distances, sensing other people. It was this last ability to develop that helped him to find the nearest group of people to him. The nearest population that he could find weren't within a few miles of him. They weren't even on the same continent as he was, or the same world. They were on another world entirely. He dispaired at that the thought that the nearest person to which he could talk to, communicate with, find comfort in, wasn't anywhere near where he could reach them. So he set himself to working on his ability to teleport. He focused on making it better, getting him further, and with less energy. Finally, he felt like he would be able to make the jump over the void to the other world. Using all of his mind, he focused on the people that he could sense, and with a loud "pop" he disappeared. He reappeared twenty feet above the ground of Elenlond. He then fell the twenty feet into the dirt. In his attempt to catch himself he jutted his arm forward, and landing on his wrist snapped it. Crying aloud in pain attracted the nearest people to him, although he would find out that they weren't the nicest individuals to him. A rag-tag band of assassins found Askain just outside of their hideout, naked and with a broken wrist. Finding no reason to kill him (after all, they only killed for money), they took him in and nursed him back to health. They set his wrist, clothed him, and fed him. Finding the magic in this land being different, Askain knew that he wouldn't be able to defend himself in this strange land without help. He requested that the group take him in and teach them their ways. They taught him their ways, not only as far as how to produce magical effects again, but how to kill and use their weapons. Having once again learned the art of being an assassin, and once again in a land of people, Askain set out to do one thing: survive. It is here, at the beginning of his experience outside of the assassin's control, that we find Askain, in the Autumn of 6 A.R. This profile has been approved by Lilly. First Five Abilities
