SUMMER

Angkar: Wet season. Precipitation is common during the late afternoon and evening hours. Vegetation grows significantly during the summer, but flooding is a danger due to the monsoons that ravage the country. The rainforest sees evenly distributed rainfall throughout the season.

Ashoka: Desert: Extremely hot and dry. Violent, heavy downpours following long dryspells. Jungle: Hot and humid with frequent, violent rainstorms.

Morrim: Relatively hot and dry, but with a chance of thunderstorms from time to time. The heat may cause forest fires.

Soto: Hot and humid, tree cover is dense while ground growth is restricted. Thunderstorms see the most amount of rainfall during the season, and it can be very windy. On occasion, there are flash floods that can destroy homes and farms built on flood plains.

WHAT IS ELENLOND?

Elenlond is an original free-form medieval fantasy RPG set on the continent of Soare and the Scattered Isles, which are located to the south in the Sea of Diverging Waters. The four chief nations of the western side of the world—Ashoka in northern Soare, Soto in western Soare, Morrim in eastern Soare, and Angkar, the largest of the Scattered Isles—continue to experience growth and prosperity since the fall of the Mianorite gods, although power struggles within the countries—or outside of them—continue to ensue.

  • CURRENT EVENTS

Angkar: To honour the reinvigoration of the ancient city of Mondrágon, the majestic Queen Eulalia has permitted the opening of a Coliseum where people from around the world and all walks of life can test their combat skills against one another. Many have already done battle in search of honour, glory, prizes and money.

Ashoka: In an otherwise peaceful times, Ashokans are beset with the relatively minor inconveniences of wandering undead and occasionally-aggressive giant rock worms. There has also been some controversy over the recent re-legalisation of human sacrifice.

Morrim: Rumour has it that Emperor Leofric de Hollemark is mustering forces for a war. Though the threat from Soto’s forests has passed, the forces previously employed in watching the forest now linger at the border. Rumours also circulate of a small group that has been dispatched to make contact with the tribes of the Do’suul Mountains.

Soto: The Sotoans have defeated the fey and liberated themselves from Méadaigh’s oppression! Preliminary efforts have been made at rebuilding the city of Madrid, which had been captured at the beginning of the war. However, the Sotoans are hindered from recovery famine. Méadaigh’s magic caused summer to persist in the Erth’netora Forest through the winter. Her power has been withdrawn and the plants die as if preparing for winter – even though it is now summer. The Sotoans must sustain off what food they can get, what creatures they can kill and what can be imported into the city from Morrim and Angkar.

    Race Ice Dragon

Dragons are a race of large reptilian mythical creatures that can be found all over the world. They usually go about on all fours and have a pair of wings on their backs that allow them to fly.

Dragons are magical creatures, possessing a magical core that is aligned to an element. This is easily seen through the colour of their scales, (Red to gold-Fire, Blue-Water, White-Air, Brown to Grey-Earth/Wood/Steel, Yellow to Silver-Light, Black-Dark). These elements are not exhaustive, however and there are sub-elements within each one. (etc, water has sub-elements of ice, wind has sub-elements of storm and dark has sub-elements of poison) This is also reflected in the shades of colour of the scales.

There are few dragons about, and their long lives give them wisdom. However, they are also proud creatures, proud of both their heritage and lineage. Water dragons are generally extremely apathetic, uncaring about the world around them as they focus on their own desires. Air dragons want to control and manipulate the things and people around them. Earth/Wood/Steel dragons are extremely greedy. Fire dragons are prone to bloodlust. Dark dragons are extremely obsessive about things and light dragons are very impatient, easily given into rage.

Dragons prefer extreme temperatures. Due to their magical core, dragons are able to change the environment within themselves and thus are able to live in environments that would usually be unsuited for them. For example, fire dragons usually prefer extremely hot temperatures, but are able to go into places that are extremely cold.

Their magical cores, are mostly used unconsciously and around the clock to keep their bodies in a preferred temperature and to allow them to fly. All dragons have an innate magical skill that correspond to their element. This skill varies from dragon to dragon, though they manifest in rather similar ways. (Fire dragons usually breathe fire and wind dragon are usually able to control the weather to a degree)

Dragons are also able to adopt a humanoid form to blend in with the rest of the world or to squeeze through spots they would never have normally been able to. Such forms keep the markings the dragon originally had(if they had any), and their skin tone is unlike humans', taking a tinge of colour corresponding to their scales. This colouration will fade as the dragon gets more used to their human form, becoming more human- like.Their eyes never change.

Should a dragon decide to, they can share their magical core with another, effectively bonding the two parties together for the duration of the dragon's life. This is extremely rare, as dragons do not usually find another not of their race that they care enough for them to give them their power.

What is most common would be that all dragons need a hoard of treasure to sleep on. Usually, the treasure is gold, but pretty princesses or valuable books could do. What is necessary is that the hoard contains something valued by many. The dreams, aspirations of many that cling to the hoard fuel the dragon's magical core. The more dreams and desire the hoard possesses, the stronger the dragon's core gets, making the dragon even more powerful. However, should the dragon go for long without even a single penny to sleep on, his core will weaken and the dragon will eventually perish.

Weapons Her sharp teeth, claws and tail. She has a little dagger for when she is humanoid form, though she does not use this often.

Physical Appearance Asyrth is about one and a half metres tall, measured from shoulder to the ground. her body is covered in gem-like scales, mostly ice blue that blends into a pale sky-blue, nearly white at her head azure at the tips of her tail and her feet. Azure markings flare up from these, looking like blue flames. Icicle-like ivory horns protrude from her head, behind her ears while sky-blue, nearly white spines reach from the back of her head to the tip of her tail.

Two bat-like wings extend from her shoulders, going from ice-blue at the base and blending into snow-white at the ends. Viciously sharp ivory teeth line her mouth and occasionally a red forked tongue will reach out. Couple her teeth with her ivory claws and you have a dangerous creature.

Awryth moves with a natural grace, seemingly one with her surroundings, whether it is the ground or air.

Deep illuminant indigo eyes peer out, seeming to look into your soul...

Humanoid appearance: When in humanoid form, Asryth looks like a 14-year-old human with pale skin, taking on a pale bluish tinge and dark long hair that looks dark blue in moonlight. Her hands and feet are a azure, ending at the elbows and knees with flame-like patterns. Her eyes remain the same, including her intense stare.

Her figure is slim, with thin delicate limbs, moving with a awkwardness that makes it seem that she is unused to this form.

Personality Asyrth is naturally proud and carries the recklessness of youth. She seeks to amass a hoard of treasure, not out of greed, but for her survival, thus is protective of her current (little) wealth. While her many years give her a wisdom not commonly found in the young of other races, her pride leads her to take risky, sometimes even foolish paths.

Alike those of her kind, Asryth is apathetic to the general around her, not really caring about what people do as long as it does not affect her. Due to this, she does not make friends easily as it would take a while for her to care about another. The only person she really cares about right now is her familiar, Pagos.

History Asyrth grew up under the care of her mother, Laranalth, a water dragon. Her father was a fire dragon, but she never met him, nor does she care to. At the age of 300, she decided to leave her mother to venture out into the world in search of knowledge and a hoard of her own. Laranalth just let her do as she wished.

Not long after setting out, Asyrth met a black panther who, for some unidentifiable reason, decided to follow the dragon around, becoming her first, if mute, friend. The bond between the feline and the dragon grew, such that when the panther was severely injured, the dragon forged a magical bond between them, tying the panther's life to herself. This saved the panther, as well as endowing it with the ability to speak and an enhanced intelligence.

    Familiar: Pagos

A large black jaguar, Pagos is about a metre tall, measured from his shoulder to the ground. He is mostly black, with the exception of the azure fire-like markings on his right side, a reminder of his injury and his bond with Asyrth. Due to his bond, Pagos possesses the ability to speak. He also has an extended life and will live as long as Asryth.

Pagos likes to use sarcasm and loves teasing others. He is also lazy, liking nothing more than to lie in the sun and nap all day. However, he is extremely loyal to Asryth and grateful for her act of saving his life. He also knows more about her than anyone else, with the exception of her mother.

    First Five Abilities

    • Internal Temperature Monitoring Due to her magical core, Awrya is able to withstand all kinds of surroundings and climates. In cold temperatures, this ability is unused, thus increasing her magical ability by 1.5 times.

    • Temperature friendly Due to her magical core, any attack that involves harm from temperature does less harm (Like burns and fire attacks). However, attacks that involve the use of physical bodies to attack (for example, using a magically summoned icicle to cut her) damages her equally. She is also immune to freezing.

    • Frozen Fire Asyrth's natural ability is to breathe fire of a bright blue flame. This fire though, does not burn but absorbs heat to keep going. It is able to spread and consume like normal fire, but instead of causing burns, causes frostbite about 25% of the time. The flame however, needs ten seconds before it is able to cause substantial damage. Should one put out the flames in that period, all they would feel would be cold, and no harm will befall the body, and a slight layer of ice will form over the object. If breathed over ice though, the flame will be able to remain for a long time, essentially becoming a cold torch. (Does not work in humanoid form)

    • Shape-shifting Like normal dragons, Asyrth is able to shape-shift into a humanoid. However, in this form, she loses the abilities Frozen Fire. Her temperature abilities still apply.

    • Speech (Pagos) Pagos the ability to speak as he shares Asyrth's magical core.
