A BIT ABOUT US

Elenlond is a free-form original medieval fantasy RPG set on the continent of Soare and the Scattered Isles, located to the south in the Sea of Diverging Waters. The four chief nations of the western side of the world—Ashoka in northern Soare, Soto in western Soare, Morrim in eastern Soare, and Angkar, the largest of the Scattered Isles—continue to experience growth and prosperity since the fall of the Mianorite gods, although power struggles, within the countries or outside of them, continue to ensue.

This layout is best viewed using Chrome or FireFox, but also works in Opera.
ANNOUNCEMENTS

Jun. 17, 2013 Today is a big day—Elenlond has just turned nine! Without your dedication and commitment forum, Elenlond wouldn't be where it is today, so thank you!

The staff and I have just released a few small updates and reminders, which can be found here. Key updates include: Shadow's username change, looking for candidates to take on the Sovereign of Angkar, new OTMs (please congratulate Marina, Squizz, and Dragila!), and future landmark and country article updates. The annual Elly Awards will also be coming in late July/early August, so keep on the lookout for those, too!

May 18, 2013 Post-Activity Check duties have been completed! Accounts with less than 10 posts, unless checked in, created after the start-date of the Activity Check, or requested to be archived, have been deleted, and all accounts that had more than 10 posts were archived if they were not checked in (or if archival was requested). As such, the Compendium has been updated. The IC and OOC forums have also been pruned of all 2012 topics, or topics involving members who are no longer active.

If we have accidentally deleted or archived an account that should not have been, please PM a staff member! If deletion was the case, we will do our best to restore your post count. If an account was archived because you did not complete the Activity Check and you request that it be reactivated, please note that we will not be immediately restoring accounts. This is because it is time consuming for us. You may have to wait several days. Accidentally archived accounts will be restored immediately.

If you need something moved from the Vault back into an IC forum, please PM either Shadow or Ephie so that this can be done.

We will be making a list shortly of accounts that have been checked in but have not posted within the last two months.

Travelling on Different Wavelengths

Scarlee, a fallen angel, is hunting when she is suddenly attacked by a bear. Luckily, she is saved by Trianda! Since Trianda has spent so much of her life around angels, one would expect the two to get along very well, but they immediately run into problems because they are quite obviously talking about different sorts of angels. The resulting conversation brings in both of their pasts and one can only wonder if the two will ever reconcile their different experiences.

 This is more a head's up for the coming months, but I figure now's as good a time as any to put it up.

We're getting pretty busy at work now and have a 1,200+ directory to proof, which we've been working on for months now, but we're getting into the layout stages of it, which is pushing us to work faster on pretty much everything else. And, in addition to this, we still have magazines we need to proof, text to copyedit, and other tasks like ad proofing, marketing pieces, etc.

Mostly, when I do have work I need to bring home with me, it's going to slow down my posting, and the majority of it will probably take place on the weekend. I don't expect to be doing OT every night (or even most nights out of the week), but I know that I'll definitely have some to work on. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, because it translates into more time off later.

The plot will have priority over my personal threads, so I apologize to anyone who ends up waiting a few extra days for a reply if I get swamped. It shouldn't be too bad, though, until around March, and we'll have someone helping us out too. But just in case.

 Soooo, this actually didn't really take effect in January like I'd sort of assumed it would... Haha.

However, it is taking effect temporarily for now.

The tail-end of this week is kind of crazy for me. I have a 232-page publication that's supposed to go to press on Tuesday, so I need to basically get as much of it done as I can before Monday, as I will not be at work all of next week (more on that probably Sunday). As such, I have a lot of work I need to get done, and I've been slammed with a bunch of pieces of the book we're working on. Posting will be slow, especially because I have other life plans going on in between, including a bridal shower Saturday evening.

 Righteo. More overtime for me this week. I have a magazine that has to go to press on Wednesday (normally it'd be Thursday, but Friday is Good Friday so obviously we'll be off and so have to push things back a day). The only issue with this is that the graphic designer working on said magazine is in a different country right now, so the timezone issue, plus the difficulty of getting this done, is causing problems. As such, I'll probably have overtime until Wednesday. The raid thread will have priority over anything else right now.
