Tekun had taken this time in Morrim to actually let himself relax. Buisiness to attend to. Same tavern which he had met the empress in. He had been considered more than a welcome guest. Any friend of the empress was welcome here. Hell they even allowed him to stay for free! He had no idea what Shrista was doing, that drow had a knack for getting into trouble. Oh well. His equipment had been brought in even. For once he could afford to set it down. For now this would function as his own personal base of operations while he sought out Andromailous. He through his shirt off to the side, kicked his boots off and then collapsed onto the bed. Face first, back facing the ceiling. His mind drifted the young elf and his curse. He wore his periapt at all times. It was his protector. He felt secure here again, but knew to lock his doors just incase. This time away from his companion was likely a good thing. They needed space instead of sharing everything including war wounds and frustration. It was a small room, nice one at that. There was absolutely nothing special about it. A fire place was lit, a candle lamp to the side on a shelf. He needed to think about how he exactly was going to go about finding the most infamous man in the land although talk was beginning to emerge he was coming back. He knew his ties to Morrim. He’d be back here. He was sure of it. Now how to convince him to help. He rolled over onto his side and closed his eyes. Glad to have his sight back once more. |

There was a spark of electricity, overhead... then another, and another. An arc of blue light, followed by a ball of lightning, black at its core... from near the ceiling of the room, amidst an orb of that strange energy, a blackened hunk of circuitry and melted plastic fell. It clattered to the ground, but the miniature storm, limited only to the room, continued. A moment later, another ball of electricity, much larger, deposited a blonde-haired woman into the room, upside down. She twisted and turned in midair, a cat, ready to land on her hands and feet. She didn't -quite- make it, cracking her head on the bedframe. She lay unconscious for a moment. Wavy blonde hair, blue silk encompassing her body in waves... silver-blue breastplate, gloves, and greaves to match. She was thin, athletic. In addition to the gloves, there was a buckler attached to her right arm. Within easy reach of her left arm, both strapped to her back, a pair of swords. One was a large kukri that looked to be made of some sort of bone, the other, a bastard sword made of what appeared to simply be steel, patterns etched into the blade; gibberish to any enchanter who knew their stuff. |

Tekun immediately stood up, reaching for his sword. What the hell was this! Some kind of storm? He panicked and took the Damascus in hand and watched. Then this rather attractive blonde-haired woman fell from it, attempting to twist and turn. THWACK! And she went limp and out like a light. Tekun winced at the sight. “That looked like it smarted.” He grimaced and then…she lay there. She wasn’t dead was she? How the hell was he going to explain this? There was a knock at the door immediately. “Is everything alright in there?” “Yes. Just a little incident with potions…nothing major.” He lied through his teeth and proceeded to pick the woman off the ground and laid her on the bed. Just a bump on the head, no blood. Good. Well…she was armed. Tekun felt nervous and removed the weapons from her person. Looking over it, a kukri? Large and made of some type of bone. And an enchanted bastard sword made of steel. But it didn’t seem magical? That was odd. He placed it to the side. Well she was out for now. If she meant him ill, he’d know it and would be there in an instance. He sighed. Pulled out a parchment and scribbled on it in pen. A note, luckily his penmanship had come around and then placed it at her side in clear sight. He proceeded to climb back into his bed, hog the covers and rolled over. ”Wake me up when you come around…assuming you don’t do that already. Just a bump on the head. Weapons are by the fireplace.” Truth be told, he should probably care more but she was out like a light. He'd deal with her when he awoke. |

It only took a few minutes... roughly the time it took for him to 'clean up' the 'incident' and remove her weapons, write the note... and then climb into bed. She started to roll over, putting an arm across his chest, before, "Bloody 'ell." her hand went to her forehead. "What did I drink?" her eyes flickered open slowly, the firelight catching her eyes. Well, this is new. Where am I? her mind went back to the little yordle tossing her the device, coordinates, timeline, everything preprogrammed... but this was -not- the Oasis, nor the Castellum... and it also didn't look like Spectral Keep, Peachblossom Island... the list of locations flashed through her mind, rather swiftly. No, I've not been here. "Where am I..?" she asked in a voice that sounded somewhat distant. She was still dizzy, disoriented. Her mind grasped at the various details of the room, before she realized that she recognized the person beside her. "Tek?" |

Tekun woke, he hadn’t even dozed off yet. She KNEW his name. But he felt no hostility. He forced himself up with a yawn. She came around rather quickly as he rubbed his eyes. He kept his composure. Who was she, how did she know him. That accent was not familiar to him. Who was she? “You’re in Kinaldi, capital of Morrim in one of its many inns.” He turned his head to get a better look at her. “Mind explaining the electrical show above, who you are and more importantly, who you are miss?” He gestured to her as if to continue his sentence. Even if it was just a last name. He might have known her, he considered it. Who knew? “I’d like to know who you exactly are. Not many know me on sight, let alone with my back turned to them while trying to get some bloody shut eye.” He grumbled. He’d be far more irritable if not for the necklace he wore. “Especially when I’m trying to keep a low profile. I can’t -exactly- have people teleport in.” He sighed and thought again. Loud noises, women appearing in his inn room. He was going to get a reputation for this if this kept on happening. |

"Anna M... Chronos. Sorry, Tek. Above your paygrade to know my real last name." she frowned, it was clear she didn't like secrets. "Kinaldi? Morrim..." she sighed, rubbing her head, trying to remember either name... it hurt. She couldn't. "I need to talk to the Triumvirate, then I can tell you more, love. I need all three, as well, it's above the paygrade of any one of them, to be honest. It's about the war, though." she sat up, realizing she was still in her armor, and finally noting her weapons by the fireplace. She also found the paper in her hand, lifting it up. Utter gibberish. "Tekun, have you not learned to write, yet?" she grinned widely. "An amazingly cute try!" |

Tekun turned horrifically red in the face. Flushing. Was his efforts really so bad? For a brief moment he had forgotten she might mean him ill. "Who told you I was borederline illiterate!" Tekun looked embaressed and soon that embaressment turned to fustration. "Pay grade? Triumvir? What war? To hell with any type of restriction Anna. You appear in my room and act like yo- No. You clearly know me. Who or what are you. Tell me now." He spoke like it was non negotiable, his eyes narrowing into a harsh glare there was insecurity and a slight hint of fear in them. how much about him did she actually know? The concept of someone he didn`t know actually knowing so many details of his life bothered the hell out of him and even went as far as to shake him up a little. Why was she so calm about it, even after being disarmed she was so calm. That intimidated him. (sorry for the length, phone post ) |

Anna tilted her head for a moment, as he spoke, her eyes narrowing as well, in thought. She focused on him for a moment, and what she saw made -no- sense. Three thousand years old..? she thought to herself. That can't be right... at all. She held up her hand, as he continued his tirade... she could see how he felt, and she let how she felt be known in her face and body language. "I'm a time-traveler. With the Preservers. Kios Anim? Pern Velisker? Cryypter? Seren?" she saw that there was no recognition of -any- of those names on his face. "When am I..?" there were obvious traces of fear in her own eyes as well, and -not- at his threats. She knew, or rather, mistakenly believed, she could easily reach her weapons and -leave- long before he could do anything about it, after all, she'd sparred with him before, and this was him with -less- training. "Calm down, I'm a friend... let's work through this." she bit her lip. Edited by Anna, Dec 5 2011, 09:04 PM.

“Time-traveler…” he repeated with speculation. “Kios Anim. Pern Velisker. Cryypter. Seren.” He repeated again. “I don’t know any of those people…” The names weren’t familiar in the least bit and when she asked when she was how was he to respond with but the year. He calmed down and saw her nervousness. Biting her lip. He sensed…she was telling the truth. “Alright. I won’t harm you. You have my ears Anna Chronos.” He stated calmly, letting himself drop any guard he had. “We will work through this. I don’t know what you think is going on, I don’t know what is going on. I don’t think you are going on.” He stopped reaching for his sword and nodded to her. Keeping himself composed, looked and listened. Was this woman really a time-traveler. Were these people people he was going to meet? Who was she? Why did she call him love? Said she was a friend? Some type of war? Was Ashoka going to go to war? It seemed only inevitable. What did she have to say? He had no idea. Only one way to find out. “Let’s start over. I’m Tekun. Immortal Soldier of Morrim. You’re on the continent of Soare, country of Morrim in its capitol. Does any of that sound familiar to you? Am I familiar?” |

"No. Yes. You were called a warrior where I was from, though. Really. What year is it? How old are you? There's a sizable margin of your 700 year old past that I don't know about, so maybe I'm just finding you a few years too early, on a continent I've never been to." she knew she was reaching, there. She sighed, hand going to her temple, her head was still throbbing. "Anna Molly, a Major with the Preservers, we fought and won a war thanks to my intelligence from the future... at least partially. Apparently, there's been a bit of a snag, a hiccup. You've been my teacher, and I'll be yours at some point. I specialize in Chronomancy." her eyes fell on the burned out circuitry. "And that would be what brought me here, I was the only one able to power it. It should have worked, seeing as I've traveled before." she shook her head, closing her eyes. "Okay, from the top, I'm a time traveler from the year CLE 70, I'm not allowed to tell anyone this without a three-way vote from the triumvirate saying so. If you tell anyone I told you, without that, they'll shove me in a box, and neither of us want that." she opened her eyes again, to see if things were sinking in for him. "Based on your reactions to my words, I'm in the wrong place, not just the wrong time, eh, love?" she'd regained a bit of composure. It wasn't honestly helping much, though. |

"The year is 5AR. I’m…maybe 600 or 900. Somewhere In between that margin? I’ve never left this continent.“ He nodded again. Teacher? He seemed puzzled. “Chronomancy, time mage for a time-traveler. Fitting.“ She seemed pain, flustered. He showed actual concern but he didn’t know why. "And once again. I don’t know who the Triumvir is…I don’t know what CLE is. And…yeah…it seems so…” He had no words to give to her. He could either accept her words or just deny it flatly. This didn’t have to be his problem but it would be a cancer on his conscience if he did not help her. He too bit his lip. Tekun simply cared too much. He closed his eyes and reclined back into the bed. He looked at this circuitry she mentioned. It was foreign, completely alien to him. She mentioned it should have worked, could she just go back? He wasn’t sure, it probably wasn’t that simple. He grumbled inaudibly. If he was going to end up helping her out…it would mean her deal with Shrista as well. Oh…the comments that were going to be made. “I don’t know what to tell you…love.” He said it only because it might bring her a little comfort. Love. Odd concept, he thought he knew it once but it constantly slipped his fingers. He didn’t think about it. He had friends, friends he didn’t want to die or lose. Cherished but he never associated it with that word. |

"Then I'm definitely elsewhere. I've never heard of Soare, you've never heard of Valoran. I'm glad to see that the theoretical law of constants at least remains true. Certain things will continue to happen, no matter the reality. Some for different reasons, but it is true that they will happen and continue to exist." she quoted a bit of her own theorem, verbatim. "It's these specific points that would allow someone to step between realities, rather than between times, while using a similar effect." she sighs. "You were supposed to be at the Oasis Tavern, and I was supposed to be deposited nearby, and safely." But I wasn't, and I'm here. I have a yordle to strangle. She grinned despite herself. "Alright. I'm rather knowledgable about all forms of magic, but due to my special heritage, which is apparently above -my- paygrade, I am unable to cast anything that isn't Chronomancy. As I have a mission to complete, and I don't need another device to replicate the effects to return me, should we succeed... That means I simply need a powerful enough mage that I can teach the dimensional portion of the ritual to." she nods, apparently fairly certain. "So, you're not three thousand?" she stared intently at her swords... they still showed the same age as ever, 6 years for the steel, and 27 years for the carapace. "I'm guessing that this building is older than three years old?" she sighs, as she stares at the wall. This is going to take a lot of practice... She hopped up, out of the bed, and tripped. "Bloody 'ell. So that's it. Gravity's off, too. I seem to have gained some weight, Tek." She pushed herself back up, and sat on the edge of the bed. "Alright, then, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to have a lost little girl follow you around like a puppy, until she can figure some things out. Hopefully, I'll be of more use than that, as I'd much rather earn my keep. In the meantime, finding a significant supply of mages would come in handy, and not dying by doing the wrong thing culturally would be swell." She sighs. First Priority is survival, second is not destroying their timeline, third is returning to mine... She was already growing annoyingly aware of the lack of visual stimuli in the room, her own came accompanied witha balcony that overlooked the quad, so that she always had something to watch, even when she was confined to quarters. |

Tekun canted his head at the first part, barely understanding anything about what she was exactly saying. Something about the nature of realities that he didn’t exactly nor would he really care to understand. He preferred the one he was in and a second one only made his life far more complicated than it needed to be. "Okay. Do you mind explaining what the hell is with the secrets, the lack of knowledge and the pay grade nonsense? If it relates to you you should know god dammit!” He protested as though it actually could be amended. “And…mages.” Oh…well he was only going to be finding the most hated banshee on the known world whom happened be the dark sorcerer supreme. “No I’m not three thousand years old and this building is probably, most likely ten tho-” He stopped as she hopped out of bed and tripped. As she pushed herself back up he moved to assist her and sighed deeply. A mission. UGH! "Fine. Out of complete guilt I accept your mission. But I warn you. I am not the most well liked man on the continent. In fact. I had probably the second largest bounty in the known world upon my head just recently. Some of it remains. Yes, long story short but if you know me than you know you can trust me…right?" He hoped that sounded sane. “I’ll see what I can manage and you’re lucky you popped in seeing how I’m going to try to meet with one of the most powerful sorcerers on this plane. He also just happens to have the higher bounty on his head than me.” Tekun reclined back into his bed. “But for now I am not doing a damn thing. It’s late…we can talk. But besides that, don’t expect to be moving out until roughly noon. Don’t worry about the cultural things. I’m traveling with a drow right now and haven’t been lynched. So I guess whatever you do isn’t so bad unless you greet everyone like this.” |

"Alright! So we're off to an excellent start, and yes, I hate secrets, wouldn't have them unless the mission required it, to be honest." she tapped her lip and hopped back up, keeping her balance, this time. "Of course I trust you, as dumb as that likely is, assuming you've lead a similar life, you likely deserve the trust I offer." she shrugs. "I had a bit of a bounty on my head back home, though only in the form of very specific individuals wanting me dead. Primarily, the One-Masked Demon, and an old friend has my head in a noose. We won't get too far into that," she winks. "Unless there's someone that goes by the name of Fate, here? Cause then, the contract still exists. Bah. I need to go for a run." she started to pace the room. It wasn't that it was tiny, it was that it was too small. Not enough stimuli. Fire, bed, Tekun, swords, more swords, other gear, walls, ceiling... dots in ceiling... counting... No. I am not counting the bloody dots. "So, is the other person trustworthy? Usually bounties are deserved, after all. I'd hate to give him access to my world, and then provide my allies with another enemy to worry about..." she shifted in place, before moving to the door. "Can I go for a walk, maybe?" she reaches for the doorknob, and starts to turn it, realizing it was locked. She turns the locking mechanism, with a swift movement, and turns the knob. Again, nothing happened. "Oi, cheap door!" Minor components, unbeknownst to Anna, had rusted shut on the inside. Normally doors and locks held up well against her. Anna tapped her foot, she was growing impatient with the room itself, slight signs of anxiety creeping in. She sighed, beginning to walk in circles around the room... counting the dots in the ceiling as she listened to Tekun. |

"I don‘t understand missions and pay grades. Seems stupid. What are you, military. You mentioned some type of war?" He guessed Ashoka wasn’t going to go to war after all. It’s not very reassuring to know that all that berserker bloodshed trans-“ She winked at him and he raised an eyebrow. Why did she wink? What was there to be winking at? "Well truth be told. He only conquered half the known world and did many horrible things. His bounty is well deserved and so is mine. But in all honesty. I truth him more than most people. Which is saying something. I can’t say I’m friends with him, we’re acquaintances and honestly. No. I’d rather you didn’t. It’s late. You don’t know the area. And last thing I need is for the people who own this inn thinking I brought a harlot into this room. No offense. I got the room for free because I was sharing a table with the Empress of this country about…say seven hours ago?” He watched as she began to pace around the room. "Military? Hmm. Yeah." she shrugged, moving over to the window, as instructed. "Born into it, really. We fought a lot of different wars." she shrugged, opening the window. "And yeah, Tekun went through a lot, before he found a place to call home." she perched herself in the windowframe, legs dangling outside. She looked out across the buildings... not one read as less than a couple thousand years old. She sighed. "Things are different here, Tek." she confessed. "Not sure I like it." she swung her legs out the window, not quite daring to climb out. "Time flows differently, gravity is harsher... I'm not sure how much I'll be able to run, or even if I'll be able to swing my sword the way you taught me." She streeeetched in the window. "As for sleeping arrangements, I'm used to sleeping in the tank, I've been on plenty of extraplanar expeditions, and my silks double as a nice pillow." she nods. "You can keep the bed." "So the guy's power hungry?" she thought out loud. "Well, it still honestly shouldn't be much of a problem, provided we can even line something up." she scanned the nearby buildings and sighed. Gibberish. I hope it's just here, I don't -want- to have to learn to read another language. She half expected Tekun to already be asleep, but she continued to talk, anyway. "He and the little demon probably wouldn't get along, anyway, so a multi-front war's an advantage, there." she weighed the option. "We'll see how it goes." she shrugs. "I need to get more social interaction, figure out how to get my sight back." she continued to look over the buildings. "Took years, before, but now I at least have some sort of semblance to go off of." She held her hand out, trying to interact with the latent time in the air, but it didn't really respond to her command... she couldn't even make a binding with it. "Bloody 'ell..." she sighed, her good mood wearing off. She spun back into the room closing the window behind her, and sat in a heap, unwinding bits of silk to rest against. "It's going to be a long stay, indeed..." |

"Did he now? And you were born into the military? I pity it. That’s no way to live. Fighting all the time, whether your enemy deserves it or not, is bothersome.” He kept an eye on her as she continued to speak, the other Tekun found a place to call home. “I doubt that’s the case for me. I wander, place to place. Still yet to find a cure or peace. All in all. I don’t want to fight. I want control of my life back.” She explained her grievances. “Then I’ll re-teach you. Simple as that. And this land is alright. I’m sure it will grow on you in time. Give it time though.” He hadn’t fallen asleep. “And you sure about sleeping like that. I don’t give a damn if you share or if I sleep on the floor.” He tried to be courteous. “Wouldn’t call him power hungry. There’s no hunger in it. The man knows full well that he’s powerful and in fact. He abandoned the throne because he likely didn’t want it any more. He’s kinda…complex. Besides…it’s not like he’s one of the many Gods that are supposedly about yet. Well I mean, he’s godlike but he’s not one of them. That’s complicated tale though. I shouldn’t confuse your pretty little head further.” He laughed. "And your sight? What sight? I don’t know the extent of your powers…” He saw that she sort of just slumped against the wall. “Listen. Anna looked up with a bit of a smile at the mention of gods. "Areia, Mimaros, Pern, Khay, Vilohna..?" she offered each name, as if they were meant to call someone... but none came. She shrugs, and sighs. "Worth a try." she winks. "I had a few friends with god complexes. Areia taught me half of my magic, in the other world. Mimaros became my patron. I was born into the military, and despite my lack of magical ability in any form aside from the temporal ones, I'm not really a brute. I did more traveling than fighting, despite my early years being almost dedicated to the pursuit." She shrugged a bit. "I'm not uncomfortable, the fineries are usually wasted on me, despite my former station as a major. Didn't much care for anything but a good pot of chili and something new to learn. Books, you could offer me, beds, less so." she winked, again. "Though I highly doubt I'd be able to read it, at this rate. I'm lucky just to speak the language." "As for my powers, they are many, and utterly amazing... or so I've been told." she gave a cheeky grin. "and I'd show you, but I'm a little worried about destroying the inn, trying. I could posit that your world is magically healthy, whereas mine was falling apart. My magic was a bit easier to work in that environment, I can already see that things dangle a bit differently, so to speak." she nods to her sword. "That probably doesn't even work. I'll need to have that fixed." She shrugged. "You're right, though, I need to not worry about things. They'll come as they come. You asked about my sight? I formerly had the ability to gauge, very accurately I might add, the age and overall growth of a person, by reading the amount of Tempus that they wore on their body, or about their mantle. But right now, everything is showing up a lot higher than it should, aside from the things that I've brought with me." her eyes went to the device. "Except that. It's in the hundreds of thousands. It -really- did not like me touching it. I tend to break higher-tech things." she shrugs. "Never learned to use a gun, as a result, slings and arrows was more my style, though I only had rather limited training with either. I specialized in close range and outflanking. Basically a mage-guard, if you wanna call it something specific." She thought for a moment, before she determined that a change of pace was in order. "So, tell me a bit about yourself. I'm sure you have some things you like to do for fun, despite the fact that it sounds like you don't get to have much.." |

“Just know that the Gods fell along time ago. They aren‘t Gods any more, more like super natural beings that are mortal. Who knows. It‘s complicated. I heard there‘s a few about. No one really knows who they are. It‘s just how it is. Can tell you I‘m not one of them, just a cursed human. Your friends may very well be here in some form as fallen divinity. But good luck finding them." “You said my writing was bad. Did you understand it at all. Fancy that we speak the same tongue." He replied still turning a beat red from that. He jumped to conclusions, maybe his efforts weren’t all that bad after all. It was relief at least. “So…essentially nothing transferred save for a few things. Fun.” He grumbled. Well she’d get her feet wet again it seemed. See what happens. “Tempus?” He questioned. He didn’t know the term. “Gauge power and mana?” “And a gun? Wait? Are those shitty flintlocks a common place in your land?” Tekun about laughed. “Those things jam up about half the time.” He chuckled. “I wouldn’t rely on such a stupid thing. Gun powder though…that’s a newer thing. Though personally magic seems to be where things are at the moment. It’s how it’s always been. Engineering and science as you would call it are kinda low priority. Now magic, that’s something.” Tekun sighed when he was asked to relay his life story, or at least something about himself. “I recently lost this periapt. Entered a frenzy and massacred a holy order of Paladins. I need this periapt otherwise my emotions get out of hand and people get slaughtered. I was raised to kill. There’s an illusion of choice in the matter. Trying to fight some sort of Eldritch power to take back my life. Also I like pie and cooking. Currently I’m learning my literary skills. Um…What else.” He rubbed the back of his head as he reclined back. “Now a whole lot to me other than I’m usually a miserable bastard going from place to place. I’m boring sorry to say. I know fighting and I’m beginning to know cooking. Wonder if it’s worth getting out of that life style. Seems like there’s always war going on and someone needed.” He sighed. |

"Well, to be fair, the gods had fallen a long time ago on my plane, as well. Or rather, they'd sacrificed a great deal of their influence on the mortal realm, just to ensure that the realm could even continue its existence." she nods. "not sure on yours." she shrugs. "I'm honestly not sure on the writing part. After looking outside, it might be more me than you." she purses her lips. "Yaeh, lucky that. If Ionian translated over, I'd be completely lacking in any method of communication. I never bothered to learn any other languages, I figured anything worth reading would be translated, or could be translated by iVIE, with ease. And yeah, I guess that's one way of looking at Tempus. It's a gauge of how much 'life' someone has had... it can be a measure of life, in years, or years in life. It's annoying, like that, sometimes. It's generally pretty useless on a stone golem, as an example." She shrugged. "Magic was a little unreliable, what with the largescale wars we had disrupting the balance, cracking the leylines and releasing the magical energy into the world in eruptions, rather than a steady stream. When stuff like that happens, you look for alternate power sources. Guns were reliable, and low hex technology. The time I was going to had extremely limited tech..." she motions to the device that was built to fit over a wrist, "But on the other side of things, in fifty years, we had advanced circuitry, alternate power sources, smokeless cartridges..." she shrugs. "It was rather annoying that I could be shot four times in the face before I could get into range to swing my sword, let me tell you." she chuckled. "And that's if I was lucky enough to be facing a pepperbox... and unlucky enough to find a bloke who could actually aim a handgun. Aside from which end shoots, I couldn't tell up or down, though. Like I said, I fry technology as often as it can stand to be around me, so I'm inclined to agree on the front of magic versus science." "Raised to kill as an assassin, or a mass-murderer?" she tilted her head, as she was raised as an assassin... unless voidlings counted as mass-murder. "As for me, I like eating, long jogs on the beach, studying, swordplay, acrobatics, dancing, freedom, open spaces, and probably, moreso than anything else, the study of magic." she nods. "The Tekun I knew was an excellent warrior -and- cook. There's plenty of days in a lifetime to be both... especially when you've got a few extra lives in your lifetime." "As for war, even gaining the equivalence of a totalitarian magocracy wasn't enough to end wars... just changed who we were fighting. During my twenty-eight years on the lines, we fought the war, and it was there even before I was. First it was outsiders who thought that runeterra smelled of chocolate, then it was a guerilla war alongside the immortals we'd made allies with, against a traitor." she shook her head. "Certainly never a dull moment." she smiles softly. |

“Simply put. I was raised to massacre. Rape and murder were a common place in my childhood and simply put it was forced to be normal. Took long while to grow out of that and a lot of tragedy and heart brake.” When she talked he could barely follow half of her conversation. What he fathered was technology was more advanced than here, something about hextech and how their land was possibly unstable. But when she talked about her likes and him he could finally follow. “I know this will sound egotistical but. Tell me all about the Tekun you know. Was he cursed as I am? Does he have the potential for Hemomancy? He was a cook? Was he ever successful? And tell me about these outsiders and this war? These details are hard to pick up on and it intrigues me a great deal and it is not likely I will get a chance to learn of something parallel or different to what I know.” He looked upon her with only curiosity now. There was much he could learn and much to teach he assumed. This could give him the upper hand he needed in his own struggles. That thought made a smile grow upon his face. “And as for you, you’re interesting as well. Were you and the other Tekun close?” That was a silly question, master and student. Well no. Sho Garza punctured his lung and threw him off a cliff side to teach him a lesson or two. He hated Sho, but he respected him and that was enough for him. |

"Close? Kind of. He was one of my martial teachers, specifically, the one who taught me to wield a weapon that was too big for me." she motioned to her kukri and bastard sword. "Those are balanced as one-handers. I can just apply extra strength, and make up for the stability when I use two... assuming I can get the balance right again." she shrugs. "I, in turn, taught him the basics of Chronomancy, which he did have a bit of a knack for... you pick up extra Tempus as you go, when you're around seven-hundred, y'know?" she shrugs. "I'm exceptionally knowledgeable with nearly all of the commonplace schools of magic. Hemomancy isn't one of them, though he did have the ability to disappear into a cloud of red mist... I'm unsure if that ability was blood related, only that it was red. It obviously had the same basic pattern as a flash, regardless." "The war was with outsiders that were decidedly bug-like. Not all of them, -were- but the majority had features. After our wars, we'd left the barriers between realities worse-for-wear and they sniffed us out. They have a tendency of busting down walls and renovating other people's apartments. We eventually kicked them out, and set up a few electric fences. They still get in occasionally, but we just move out and nuke them. Cultists are the primary reason for that." she nods. "The more recent war is with a star-child turned soul-eating demon... something about immortality being the cause of all the strife in the world. Blah-blah." she shrugs. "The woman scares me, senseless." Anna shook her head. "Cursed, though, I dunno. Cursed with a long lifespan, yeah, but he wasn't exactly prone to fits of rage when I knew him. Though he did have a headband that acted as a defense against loss-of-control. Never asked him about the source, to be honest." |

He nodded at her tales. There wasn’t a whole lot to say sadly say that she fought bugs and that there were soul eating demons. His counter part didn’t suffer as he did but his bandana served a different purpose. How curious. He looked to her weapons and saw how large his was in comparison. Her bastard sword looked puny compared to that abomination that he carried around. That slab of steal. “Sounds like the type of thing I’d do. I was raised to use a sword, they don’t make child sized blades so I learned to wield a blade that was bigger than me. Eventually I got used to it and just kept upgrading. That’s the reason I use that unwieldy thing over there.” He pointed to the weapon. “Do you think you could teach me chrono magic after I finish what I need to? I’m not keen on it…there’s instability in my person. I need to resolve it. Fight and kill the source I suppose.” He sighed deeply. “Nothing on Hemomancy. Pity…Well…is there anything you’d particularly like to know. I mean…I have no idea how long you’ll be stuck here.” It wasn’t a comforting thought. “So might as well get to know the nations and such. Right?” |

She followed his eyes. "Yeah, they're 'small' by comparison, but you taught me to wield them with agility, rather than brute force." she winks. "It's not always the size of the boat, Tek, and besides, I started young, too." she motions to the kukri. "I haven't changed primary weapons since I was six. Poor Vincit's gonna have to bear with me for a while." she draws her legs up to her chest as she thinks for a moment. "I don't have 'nothing' on Hemomancy, it was just largely unstudiable, given that there were only two subjects who showed any great strength in it on runeterra... and they didn't write any books. More the oldschool master-apprentice teaching... where the apprentice eats the master, or is eaten, at the end of the learning process." she shakes her head. "Had a guy named Vlad that used his own blood to attack, stole blood to heal, became a pool of it, and made blood more willing to accept affliction... and losses." she shrugs. "Then the spell sword who was only in the Preservers for a week before he went and got himself killed by the one-masked demon." she shakes her head. "I ran his eval, speeding the blood's flow, blood bolts, increased endurance, and a nasty curse that made him both demonic -and- immortal. A prime target for the little Ionian. But, you're right, enough about my world, for now." she nods, remembering the next bit of conversation. "Yeah, that was my planned line of questioning, hopefully over breakfast tomorrow, but we can start now. Better to know -before- I get antsy at 2 in the morning and insult the archduke's cousin's son.." she sighs, softly. "But before that, I've already got the feeling I'm going to need to relearn most of my chronomancy, here. Just by looking at how it flows, it's cleaner, tighter. Once I -do- get shipshape, I should have better control, but... that's just a theoretical first glance we're talking about." she shrugs. "We'll see what I can do for you, as we go." She formed a single mote of negative chronomantic energy, something far removed from a temporal binding, something normally invisible to the unaided eye, using the energy her body had been collecting... and tried to move it through the stream as she listened to him talk. It didn't wear down as quickly, but time's flow was having its way with the tiny mote, despite her best efforts. Control would definitely be the thing to work on... or bigger-boats, as they would say. |

Of course it had to be rare, Tekun usually just fought the way he was raised. Brute force it. It seemed to just work, but there were problems here and there with it. The amount of injury he sustained sometimes would usually kill a lesser man. Maybe he should rethink how he fought. He mused the thought. Of course Hemomancy had to be rare in her realm. Only two? Well. Here it was almost as rare…not many he knew ever used it. He had heard of it of course and Shrista was no dark lord of magic. He was sure there were others whom had that ability. “The continent of Soare is divided into four lands. Ashoka, an arid desert region ruled by the Mogul Orion De Lacey. While we’re here, we will not be entering Ashoka. His lapdog and I don’t exactly play nicely with each other. And it doesn’t help he runs that country with an iron fist. I rather not end up being thrown into a nice tiny cell within the first week of my journey there. Spy networks and all. Soto is a more temperate land governed by a council. Everything there centers around the guilds, Soto is large on the trade of goods. Morrim, my homeland and where we’re currently staying is ruled by Co-Emperor Nero Aurelian and Empress Isra Amiel, whom I just had the pleasure of meeting and talking with.” He was still happy he had that honor. “Morrim right now is in the process of recovering from the genocide, no…genocide has structure to it. Slaughter of their people due to circumstance. Right now, the country is trying to recover and they cannot afford another war. Finally on the mainland you have the Kaadian Way. Neutral territory. A road that runs along all three nations. Off the mainland you have the kingdom of Angkar. It is not likely we will go out our way to go there but…I have no qualms about it. It is a nice place, I lack a bounty there.” Edited by Tekun, Dec 7 2011, 11:10 AM.
