SUMMER

Angkar: Wet season. Precipitation is common during the late afternoon and evening hours. Vegetation grows significantly during the summer, but flooding is a danger due to the monsoons that ravage the country. The rainforest sees evenly distributed rainfall throughout the season.

Ashoka: Desert: Extremely hot and dry. Violent, heavy downpours following long dryspells. Jungle: Hot and humid with frequent, violent rainstorms.

Morrim: Relatively hot and dry, but with a chance of thunderstorms from time to time. The heat may cause forest fires.

Soto: Hot and humid, tree cover is dense while ground growth is restricted. Thunderstorms see the most amount of rainfall during the season, and it can be very windy. On occasion, there are flash floods that can destroy homes and farms built on flood plains.

Angkar: To honour the reinvigoration of the ancient city of Mondrágon, the majestic Queen Eulalia has permitted the opening of a Coliseum where people from around the world and all walks of life can test their combat skills against one another. Many have already done battle in search of honour, glory, prizes and money.

Ashoka: In an otherwise peaceful times, Ashokans are beset with the relatively minor inconveniences of wandering undead and occasionally-aggressive giant rock worms. There has also been some controversy over the recent re-legalisation of human sacrifice.

Morrim: Rumour has it that Emperor Leofric de Hollemark is mustering forces for a war. Though the threat from Soto’s forests has passed, the forces previously employed in watching the forest now linger at the border. Rumours also circulate of a small group that has been dispatched to make contact with the tribes of the Do’suul Mountains.

Soto: The Sotoans have defeated the fey and liberated themselves from Méadaigh’s oppression! Preliminary efforts have been made at rebuilding the city of Madrid, which had been captured at the beginning of the war. However, the Sotoans are hindered from recovery famine. Méadaigh’s magic caused summer to persist in the Erth’netora Forest through the winter. Her power has been withdrawn and the plants die as if preparing for winter – even though it is now summer. The Sotoans must sustain off what food they can get, what creatures they can kill and what can be imported into the city from Morrim and Angkar.

It was a lucky day for someone of Illid's profession. The sun was shining brightly down over a bustling city, only one or two puffy clouds dotting the sky. The serpentine demon was quite enjoying the crisp, cool day as he walked through the city with the strap of his pack resting lazily over one shoulder. A crate was nestled beneath the opposite arm. His clothes mirrored his mood and the lush plant life (though now somewhat colored from the season) of the urban setting, as often seemed to happen when he traveled to different regions. His top was a light weight emerald green shirt, long sleeves with a slight v neckline that had been tied up with crisscrossing black string. His pants were a dark brown adorned with two black leather belts, one around his waist and fastened traditionally while the other hung diagonally from hip to the opposite upper thigh. The bottoms of the slacks were tucked into knee high black boots laced up tightly with the addition of two buckles on each bridge. Covering his lower arms, from elbow to wrist, were brown leather gloves with the finger tips cut off to allow for more grip and tactile ability. Lastly there was the shiny trinket he had picked up at one of the shops on his way through the city; a silver ear cuff that clipped onto his right cartilage and attached to a sparkling little chain that ended with a black stud through his ear lobe. He only indulged in such decorations when he was having a nice day.

Illid ceased his steps as he finally arrived at a spot that met his approval. He'd made his way past the homes of the commoners and arrived in the market square, finding a bare little spot for him to set up. The demon took off his pack and set it down, crouching with it, to search through the various and sundry belongings he had decided needed to accompany him on his journey. One such belonging slithered out of the canvas bag and wound its way up his arm until it finally rested comfortably about his shoulders.

"Have a nice nap?" Illid asked the saw-scaled viper that had emerged to enjoy the rays of sunlight as well. Chimer was his constant companion on such journeys so his presence wasn't a surprise.

Soon however he was set. He sat himself upon the crate and propped up the white folded sign that rested beside him. The word 'Illusionist' had been written in sprawling cursive brush strokes. Before him he'd also placed three opaque glass spears, one red, one blue, one yellow, and beside them was a little red box opened up for money to be put in.

It wasn't long before a few curious children wandered over to examine the set up, wanting to know what exactly the strange looking demon was doing sitting and waiting so patiently.

"Tell me something you like." Illid prompted a little girl who was studying the glass orbs curiously. She had little blond pigtails and a shabby red and white dress on.

    "Flowers...and puppies...and kitties!"

It was an answer Illid had gotten many times before. He smiled and held out his arm, Chimer winding down around it before arching up and flicking his forked tongue out to taste the air as he studied the children. For a moment they were apprehensive, but this all melted away to a resounding chorus of gasps as it seemed that the scaly reptile once perched on Illid's arm now seemed to be a tiny fluffy white kitten sitting in the upturned palm of his hand. The children clapped and tried to reach out to pet the white ball of fluff that sat before them but Illid withdrew it, shaking his head as it once again became the snake. The children awed before tossing a few coins in the box.

"What kind of sham are you running here??" A heavy set woman with wavy blond hair tied back in a messy ponytail stormed over to Illid. She was wearing some sort of red dress with a white short sleeved shirt underneath, scuffed up boots on her feet. "All I've seen is you sit here and show some garden pest and now you're taking money from these kids??"

The secret was of course that while the children had seen a baby cat the woman had seen nothing but what Illid actually had, a docile serpent. He brought his arm back to his head so Chimer could slide off of it and curl up on the top of his head.

"I assure you my abilities aren't a sham. ma'am. Is that something in your hair?" Illid inquired idly.

There was a tense moment when the woman reached back to touch her hair. she could swear it felt like something crawling. She undid the tie in the back and watched as the light locks fell around her face, peppered with hundreds of black spiders. A blood curdling scream cut through the air as the woman began pulling at the long golden strands frantically, flailing around in a panic.

The children and others around stared. They saw no spiders. Illid just laughed.

It was the most subtle sensation, but somehow it seemed familiar. Then again magic was often tricky like that, unless one knew how to look at the weave. But it had been ages sense the Drow had even bothered to look more deeply than just the surface, perhaps once his questions had been answered he would go about relearning how to look more closely at the web magic wove. For now he was interested in the subtle hint of magic akin to his own; although there was a more physical quality to that which he felt he could sense. Red eyes closed as he took a moment to feel out the origin, a moment later making a turn around a corner to find a rather puzzling image before him. A poor older woman ripping at her own hair as if something crawled through the strands.

The Drow tilted his head to one side curiously bringing up a tightly wrapped hand to scratch at his own skull in puzzlement. He let his hand fall back to his side as he took notice of a strange demon sitting, where moments before the Drow had not been able to see around the frantic woman. It took no genius to guess that the demon might have something to do with the woman's odd behavior. Not that he really minded, humans were rather bothersome to his kind.

Humming lightly to himself the Drow had to admit he was intrigued by the presence of the demon, and would have bet a good amount that that was the individual from whom the subtle hint of magic had been coming from. It was also nice to find another that did not quite blend in with the general populace. Tugging at the cowl about his head he pondered the best approach, if even to approach at all. This might only add to the list of questions he was trying to get answered.

He would have to decide soon though; this position out in the sunlight was doing horrors on his eyesight among other things. Unconsciously he ran through a check for exposed skin, hands wrapped tightly with strips of black surprisingly breathable cloth, head and face covered by a heavy cowl, arms and torso covered by a black boiled leather jerkin, feet in their knee-high black boots and legs covered by soft worked leather, also black. Black was certainly his color and if it made him stand out, oh well; not like he was going to run around in brown or gods forbid a bright color!

"Demons out in public," mutter a stout man that had come up and was now standing next to the Drow. Quirking a delicate brow from beneath the heavy cowl the tall Drow looked down at the man who upon taking notice of the look nearly fell back a few steps. A small smile crossed the lips of the ebon skinned creature. Giving a small grunt and now muttering about damn dirty cave dwelling elves the man stomped off. Merely rolling his eyes the Drow turned back to see if the poor woman had ceased flailing yet.

A few blissful moments were taken to appreciate the woman's panic before she realized that there was nothing in her hair, the spiders having disappeared. She was rather unsettled by this so she wandered away absently combing at her hair, wanting to go cleanse herself of the insects that were never actually present.

Illid returned his gaze to his audience then and took subtle notice of the drow that had joined the crowd. It was a rather sunny day for a race with such sensitivity to the light to be walking around but he supposed one who lived on the surface couldn't hide inside all day waiting for clouds.

"Mister what are these for??" One of the children asked, a few having crouched down to look at the three glass orbs that Illid had taken out.

The demon smiled and folded his legs as he sat on the crate. "They're magic orbs, they can become anything you want." He explained.

A few requests were shouted, the usual children interests of puppies, flowers, candy, and the like. Those that had gathered around would suddenly see a bird where the left orb was, a pure white dove tapping back and forth in its spot. The left had burst into sparkly confetti to earn the most giggles and clapping from the children. Illid could hear a few amused chuckles from the older crowd. The middle orb, however, seemed to have disappeared entirely. There were a few mutters as they looked around before a boy pointed.

"It's up there!" His extended index finger was pointing to the top of the drow's head.

Perched atop the dark elf's hair was a small chipmunk, eyes wide and innocent as it anxiously rubbed its itty bitty paws together. The children cheered and suddenly the drow would find himself surrounded by excited boys and girls standing on their tiptoes to try and get a better look at the furry critter. For a moment the threat that such an outsider from their society must pose was forgotten as they were all easily distracted by the cuteness of Illid's illusions.

For his part the demon was fairly amused. He studied the drow's expression as he was surrounded by excitable, chattering youths, a faint smirk on his own features as he wondered how the threatening looking man might handle such attentions. Worst case scenario some children might get slaughtered, but he doubted even someone from a society as cut throat as the Underdark would make such a spectacle in a public place.

For a time the Drow had crossed his arms over his chest just to observe, somewhat curious of the demon. Though if anyone could recall his history such curious interest in another did not always end so pleasantly for one or both parties involved. But that was neither here nor there; and for the moment his curiosity was nothing more than a passing fancy at a magic akin to his own but different on some levels. Illusions were, some might say child’s play, but this Drow knew that some illusions were far more real that the air they could be conjured from. Of course it seemed quite silly to him for someone to merely be showing off to a crowd of half-witted humans to begin with, but money was money as the saying went and when living required coin…well one did what they must to get it.

The Drow blinked a little as the child yelled and ultimately pointed to his head. With a sigh the Drow found himself crowded by children half his height or so. There was no love for the random touch and push of a child, no love for children themselves really. However, it was not his current tune to slaughter children either or to even set the whole city down upon his head should he raise a hand against the sticky little creatures. Instead that gaze fixed on the one responsible for the swarm of giggling heathens. Red eyes narrowed and a promise of violence flashed behind those bright orbs. The Drow shuddered his skin crawling beneath his clothing as a few of the more daring children dared to attempt to climb him. Oh it was taking every bit of patience he had not to fling at least one child off into the dirt.

The Drow managed to shrug the more daring children off and frightened a few others just by staring them down. Even once or twice promising the child horrible things would get them in the night if they did not leave him be. Perhaps it was the fact that he had not always been Drow that kept him calmer than most of his kin, or maybe there was more to his hidden past that managed to keep a disaster from happening. A small whispering of memory came back to him at that moment and he placed a delicate hand to his temple, but it was not a tangible memory and fled as quickly as it came.

"Someone plays dangerous games," commented the Drow giving the demon a long hard look. Still he remained in his spot, no real desire to start something in the middle of the city springing to his mind. There was always time for that later and to be honest he was actually rather amused himself.

Ah that murderous glare was just the reaction he'd been looking for. The drow's general discomfort and distaste for the children that flocked to him brought a bit more amusement than the standard 'magic tricks' Illid used on the audience. Of course it couldn't last long as the dark elf managed to escape the sticky grasps of the excited children and the illusion that had once been on his head had disappeared as well. There was some applause and some children, as well as reluctantly impressed adults, dropped coins into the box that had been set up to collect them. It was then that he heard the man's utterance and couldn't help but flash him a charming smile.

"Don't you like the act?" He inquired as he crouched down to return the orbs to the pack which they had been taken from. Chimer slithered up Illid's arm as he worked and coiled atop the demon's head, nestled within the dark brown locks. Its head tilted a bit as beady little eyes stared at the drow, little black tongue flicking out now and again.

Illid straightened up when his task was done and placed a hand on his hip as he scrutinized the drow that stood before him; no doubt a bit taller than he as the demon's height was nothing impressive for a male.

"As interesting as I find drow, I have to say I'm mildly surprised to see one wandering around on such a nice day. I'm glad you could play." Illid's voice was smooth, not a hitch or hesitation in breath. It was clear that he was either confident or foolish, but either way he was not afraid.

As Illid spoke a vine had started to wind its way upwards around the drow's arm. He might not notice this at first as it didn't seem to hurt or cause much sensation, but the subtle shifting in the folds of the man's clothing might call for attention in his peripheral vision.

"A simple tick meant to fool simple minds, now why would I find that amusing?" asked the Drow taking a moment to eye the other up and down. Small, boyish, hardly anything of a threat to the Drow even if the other was of demonic blood. But perhaps that was just his arrogance talking, and many a time had he been proven wrong by first impressions. If anything the snake proved more of an interest as it tilted its head.

"Well sadly for me, humans are diurnal creatures; one must adjust to that which they live in," said the Drow with a shrug. Sure there was much to be said about the night life in such a large city, but it was the libraries and the like which interested him more. Though an occasional drink and rumble/tumble with the seedier lot of the city was not beneath him.

The Drow's ear gave a subtle flick under his cowl. A soft thoughtful hum came from the taller male. The vine as it were, had gained his notice but not any action from him; if anything he was curious as to its purpose. So for the moment he let it be, only slightly off put by the sneaking plant-life. "Have a name, or shall I make one up for you?"

The criticism was meant with a chuckle as Illid didn't seem put off by it in the least. He knew his own abilities and didn't feel the need to show off in front of some slack-jawed humans willing to toss a few coins down for any old thrill. Chimer had seemed to decide that there was no need for alarm also as the serpent lowered it's head and dropped down to rest upon his master's shoulders instead of on his head, finding it a more stable resting place. A lazy hiss was uttered before his coils ceased movement.

"How unfortunate. Maybe someday you'll get used to it." There was a hint of sympathy in Illid's response but no doubt it was as real as the illusions that he'd thrilled the crowd with. His eyes flicked to the twitching of the drow's ears and he tilted his head a bit. There was something ironically cute about a murderous elf twitching his ears, it reminded him of a cat or some other fluffy animal. That was probably not what this man was going for but he'd retain his opinion all the same. The question distracted him from his idle thoughts.

"Me? Illid. This? Chimer." His hand raised as he gestured to the lazy snake draped about his shoulders. There wasn't really any response from him. "What about you? I wouldn't mind coming up with one for you if you want...." His own forked tongue flitted out briefly as he spoke, still sizing up his new acquaintance and trying to decide how long he could get some amusement from him.

All the while the vine had continued its ascent up the drow's arm, wrapping and curling until it had reached his shoulders. The vines reached for his neck and began to wind around there as well. Despite the spectacle of it no one else seemed to notice who happened to pass by, even Illid himself not seeming aware of the crawling plant life. Each spiral of the vines seemed to bring an unsettling feeling of claustrophobia.

The Drow doubted that sentiment, though he wished it otherwise. His ability to acclimate to a sun filled world was hampered not only by his race’s darkness loving nature but a deeper biological reason. This particular Drow actually had an allergy to sunlight, thus the careful covering of any exposed skin and the desire to stick to the shade if it could be helped.

The demon was not all wrong, there was a certain catlike quality to the Drow, but not on the housecat level; it was more akin to that of a large cat. Where he could come off as calm and aloof and then just as suddenly pounce and rend as the situation called for. Though it had been some time since he had done any rending, oh the good old days of being a physical fighter; they seemed just a faded memory now. In fact they were, that chapter of his life was clouded to him still.

"I prefer not to gain a nickname from a stranger," murmured the Drow, "My name is Neriasis." Now the Drow was well aware of the vine and while the claustrophobic sensation crept at the edges of his mind it was more anger that flared to the surface. "If the vines are your doing, kindly remove them or I will kindly remove your head." Though anger flared in those red eyes the Drow's voice was even and almost whimsical on some demented level.

The name rolled around his mind a bit before he found the correct flick of his unusual tongue to articulate it. "Ne-ri-a-sis~ That's a long name. It doesn't roll off the tongue very well. I think you should have a nickname soon." Illid informed the drow with a cheerful tint to his words.

Then came his favorite part. The steady rise of fury that bubbled to the surface in Neriasis' eyes was like blossoming flowers to Illid. The illusion was never as fun when he didn't get a good reaction, and this man played his part splendidly. The only response he got to his demand was the concerned furrowing of the snake demon's brows as he regarded the agitated elf.

"I'm...sorry?" His tone held a note of worry as if he were wondering just what Neriasis could be questioning. After all, surely if there were vines crawling up someone the surrounding people would be alarmed or at least mildly curious as to the origin of the creeping plant. No one, however, even gave a second glance after the initial curiosity of seeing a drow out in broad daylight.

Regardless of anyone's attention the vine continued its climb up and around Neriasis' neck, and it was moving faster. Without warning it shot up and seemed to surge into the drow's mouth, making a mad dash down his throat. As alarming as this seemed it all occurred and ended within seconds. Hopefully before the man could become angry enough to cause Illid physical harm the vines had altogether disappeared from his body and left not a trace behind, not even a leaf or wrinkled bit of cloth in sight.

"You're acting very strange, Neriasis. Maybe we should get you out of the sun, it might help to clear your head." As the suggestion was offered Illid folded his arms across his chest and regarded the angered drow with a genuine expression of perplexity. There wasn't a hint of deception in his voice or his features to indicate he was enacting some sort of shady trickery.

The Drow frowned, but he suppose that was expected not too many seemed capable of pronouncing his name correctly. But now was not the time to correct the other, imagine he wondered trying to get the other to spell it. Even his once best friend, who had been a scholar of sorts often misspelled his name forgetting the 'a' as it was usually silent in speaking or at least was such a quite part of his name that it was often forgotten.

As much as he did not wish to make any sort of reaction to the vines, illusions weren't always something to scoff at and before they made a disappearance the uncomfortable feeling of having such things invade his mouth unawares made the Drow choke a little. The hair on the back of his neck bristled not just with anger but also with a certain embarrassment but only the anger reached his eyes and the scowl clearly written across his features. Once he had been a god, though again yet another chapter of his life shut out to him by the many clouded doors created by his travels; but now he was a weak mortal creature, physical prowess lost, and magical ability weak. But not so weak, at least he had not thought so, perhaps that last jump into the interdimensional rifts had done something to his abilities; which was not a good thing for a psion; magic of the mind was never a good thing to have weakened.

The Drow furrowed his brow at the demon’s words, taking in the intonation and despite all his desire to summon up his weapon and decapitate the smaller male he resisted. Perhaps his curiosity of the other was staying his hand, although that could still be a dangerous thing for either one of them. "Yes of course," said the Drow softly, "I was headed to the library."

Neriasis might not have been too pleased but Illid was delighted by the new playmate he'd found. Not only did he get angry but he scowled and tensed, the slightest twitch just adding to the demon's satisfaction. There was almost a sadness when the illusion's effects faded from the ruffled edges of the drow's mind but he supposed it was necessary. Limits could only be pushed so far before confusion and fury escalated to violent outbursts, and while that normally wasn't so much of a concern to Illid he supposed a dark elf that no doubt had weapons on him, and most likely the skill to back it up, was a bit more threatening than a house wife or such.

"Library...that could be fun. I should go with you to make sure you're alright." Illid informed Neriasis, his voice laced with every kind intention of a concerned associate. It wasn't as if he had any responsibilities besides himself and the serpent who accompanied him, after all, so there was plenty of time to dabble in new found interests. These interests most of the time were people, but Illid had never really gotten attached enough to consider them anything above hobbies, helpful aids in frittering his time away.

Everything seemingly settled, Illid turned and made his way down the street that he knew would take them to the library. The only reason he was continuing with this venture, and by association the company of his new acquaintance, was because he was dying for more of those reactions. That and the library was usually home to many people who were easily startled by sudden alterations in their perception of the world around them. In such a quiet place a sporadic sprinkling of chaos, done just right, might turn out beautifully for someone like Illid.

After a few steps in his intended direction the demon paused and looked over his shoulder to see if the drow's own curiosity in him was strong enough to persuade him to follow. His own peaked interest aside, he wasn't exactly sure if Neriasis' own would compel him to continue their close proximity.

The demon was smart not to push the Drow's limits. While he might not have wanted to start a scene in the streets he had slaughtered others for less, but that was just how Drow society worked. If you wanted to get up in the world you didn't put up with shit from other males unless messing with them meant messing with a female. Oh but the things he had done to mess with males that the females had found rather pleasing. Of course that often got him into the position of something of a pet for the females, luckily something always happened to end that quickly; usually foul play on Neriasis' part. But no one could ever pin such things on him; after all if you weren’t careful in the Underdark you were as good as dead, and well he liked living.

"Yes, fun; just don't get me banned from the place," muttered the Drow giving the demon a hard stare. He needed the library's vast collection of books, scrolls, tomes; you name it to figure out the missing holes in his past. This was the world he came from, that much he knew but he wondered if there was even anything written about him. Desperately he hoped so.

Neriasis was starting to doubt his interest in the demon, there seemed little to gain from such a creature. But he wasn't about to back out of his curiosity just yet. With a little shrug he moved to follow after the shorter male. The sooner he got out of this sunlight the better, perhaps his senses wouldn’t feel so dull if he was out of the offending light. He certainly hoped so, he did not like being made to look the fool.

As his new acquaintance moved to follow Illid continue in his path. A light hum was emitted to accompany their steps, a slow upbeat tune that wasn't particularly recognizable as anything noteworthy. Neriasis might not have been so enthusiastic but it would take more than a grumpy companion to spoil his good mood. The sun was bright, probably painfully so for the drow, but the library wasn't far now and soon he'd be safe from the unpleasant rays that seem persistently unhindered by the thin clouds of the day. Illid slowed his steps for a moment to walk alongside Neriasis so he could more easily speak to him.

"You seem very serious." He commented. "Do you ever do things that are fun even if they have no real tangible or knowledgeable gain to you?"

From his own knowledge of drows Illid was quite aware that the word 'fun' wasn't necessarily a part of their vocabulary. Still, this was a dark elf who lived on the surface so it was a possibility that he had some type of inclination towards frivolous activities. Maybe. They passed a stand selling a lot of delicious looking fruit then, mostly what was in season such as apples, the red peels of the fruit glistening in the sun. The man who was running it suddenly yelped as the woman working with him smacked him on the head. The woman was insisting that he had said something terribly insulting while he in turn assured her that she was stark raving mad. Since they were distracted Illid picked up an apple as they strode by and took a bite out of it without any notice from the vendors.

"Oh look the library." The observation came a few moments later when they were standing before their intended destination. Illid had visited it before so he was familiar with the location but he'd never really poured through the vast contents of its books and records. Thus he was fairly uncertain of just what sort of information Neriasis was hoping to gain from such a place and for the moment that was enough to keep him interested. That and the possibilities for his own amusement past the building's doors. Cheerfully the demon walked up to the door and held it open for the dark elf that had walked with him there, the same genuine smile upon his features that had been present not too long ago.

The Drow made no real notice of the difference between following the demon and having the creature walk next to him. Either way he would reach the library, he’d been in the city long enough to know how to get there on his own if for some reason his new 'companion' decided to go bounding off in another direction. It was almost expected by the Drow in all reality, this particular demon had that kind of air about him that he might find something say shiny and run off to inspect it. A fleeting thought though as instead chatter bubbled out of the serpentine critter.

"You presume to know anything about me," muttered the Drow, "I do plenty of things that are enjoyable; though why I would discuss such in public much less with you is another matter."

Neriasis rolled his eyes as the demon pilfered an apple while the merchant wasn't looking. The drow stepped past the demon into the library. He was not about to be fooled by the supposedly genuine smile upon the creature’s lips. As such beings were often full of trickery and deceit and he was not really looking to make friends with such a creature either. Just a mild curiosity and perhaps a hint of loneliness; for it was quite lonely to be a Drow on the surface.

Once inside the library the Drow was able to lower the cowl that shielded his delicate eyes. A long braid of silver hair coiled around his neck, but other than that there didn’t seem to be anything overly special about his features. It took several moments for his eyes to adjust to the change in lighting and once they had he looked about; it seemed a quiet day for the library with only a few visitors mixed into the usual keepers of the tomes and the like.

Illid couldn't help but chuckle at the drow's response His rusty brown eyes were bright before they dimmed as he entered the library, less red in the absence of sunlight. A sweep of the area lead and the unsettling quiet that accompanied it left little for him to contemplate. It was what anyone would expect from a library, lots of books and lots of people pawing through them. Not that he'd been expecting anything different really. At least it held a certain amount of impressiveness numerically; the collection of books was pretty large and no doubt contained enough information to keep a scholar busy for years.

"I didn't know fun was such a private matter." The demon commented idly, in regards to the earlier comment from Neriasis. That was his only addition to the prior topic though and with that he walked further into the library.

Around his neck Chimer had woken up by the changes in temperature. He no longer felt the pleasant rays of sun warming his cooled blood and instead tasted the almost musty air of the library. It wasn't a welcome transition and the serpent apparently voiced this with a hiss, its head swiveling to stare beady little eyes at his master. In response a slight hiss came from Illid and he met Chimer's gaze. For a moment he exchanged this look with the serpent as if he was having some sort of conversation but it ended shortly and his attention was back on the books. He turned on his heel to look back at Neriasis and lifted his eyes to meet his.

"I could help you look if I knew what you were trying to find." Illid offered this kindly as he studied the drow's expression. The fact that he didn't even know why they were there left an information gap that he was curious enough to want filled. However he quickly added a comment, as though the thought had just occurred to him.
"Oh and are you feeling better now?" Again a sweet question based solely on concern and nothing more, surely.

"Then you clearly don't have the right kind of fun," mused the drow.

"What I'm looking for is so vague that knowing where to start has been a problem," commented Neriasis. His brow furrowed slightly and he gave a snort at the question. Despite how the other might appear on the outside the Drow was not falling for the innocent facade. Perhaps that was just him having gotten use to getting the same kind of treatment from female Drow. They acted all sweet and innocent but the second it suited them they were nasty and untrustworthy.

"But it you really wish to helpd, I am looking for any information on my name," he said after a moment, turning back to the books and starting to head towards the area he had left off in. "What you see, is not what I always use to be. However, I cannot recall what that use to be, so I am trying to find out."
