SUMMER

Angkar: Wet season. Precipitation is common during the late afternoon and evening hours. Vegetation grows significantly during the summer, but flooding is a danger due to the monsoons that ravage the country. The rainforest sees evenly distributed rainfall throughout the season.

Ashoka: Desert: Extremely hot and dry. Violent, heavy downpours following long dryspells. Jungle: Hot and humid with frequent, violent rainstorms.

Morrim: Relatively hot and dry, but with a chance of thunderstorms from time to time. The heat may cause forest fires.

Soto: Hot and humid, tree cover is dense while ground growth is restricted. Thunderstorms see the most amount of rainfall during the season, and it can be very windy. On occasion, there are flash floods that can destroy homes and farms built on flood plains.

WHAT IS ELENLOND?

Elenlond is an original free-form medieval fantasy RPG set on the continent of Soare and the Scattered Isles, which are located to the south in the Sea of Diverging Waters. The four chief nations of the western side of the world—Ashoka in northern Soare, Soto in western Soare, Morrim in eastern Soare, and Angkar, the largest of the Scattered Isles—continue to experience growth and prosperity since the fall of the Mianorite gods, although power struggles within the countries—or outside of them—continue to ensue.

  • CURRENT EVENTS

Angkar: To honour the reinvigoration of the ancient city of Mondrágon, the majestic Queen Eulalia has permitted the opening of a Coliseum where people from around the world and all walks of life can test their combat skills against one another. Many have already done battle in search of honour, glory, prizes and money.

Ashoka: In an otherwise peaceful times, Ashokans are beset with the relatively minor inconveniences of wandering undead and occasionally-aggressive giant rock worms. There has also been some controversy over the recent re-legalisation of human sacrifice.

Morrim: Rumour has it that Emperor Leofric de Hollemark is mustering forces for a war. Though the threat from Soto’s forests has passed, the forces previously employed in watching the forest now linger at the border. Rumours also circulate of a small group that has been dispatched to make contact with the tribes of the Do’suul Mountains.

Soto: The Sotoans have defeated the fey and liberated themselves from Méadaigh’s oppression! Preliminary efforts have been made at rebuilding the city of Madrid, which had been captured at the beginning of the war. However, the Sotoans are hindered from recovery famine. Méadaigh’s magic caused summer to persist in the Erth’netora Forest through the winter. Her power has been withdrawn and the plants die as if preparing for winter – even though it is now summer. The Sotoans must sustain off what food they can get, what creatures they can kill and what can be imported into the city from Morrim and Angkar.

(Note: when things are italic and in red The Stranger is in a dream)

For a year The Stranger of Erth'netora forest walked from point to opposite point of the forest, he was blind with revenge hunting for the woman who stole his only friend and family left in the world. It wasn't until the day before he wanted to return home and then travel to the city of Madrid. He had not once the whole year felt tired nor did every wild creature that attacked him break his willingness for revenge, but tonight on his final stretch to his home did weariness smack him hard across the face. As he approached the small shack he once called home did The Stranger drop his bounty from the afternoons hunt two deer, a stringer full of fish, and many berries. The Stranger didn't stop he began to make a fire outside because the game had to still be skinned then cut because what he didn't need to eat he would sell the rest once he got into city, if that is what you were supposed to do when you go to a city The Stranger hadn't really asked Klov about Madrid or how to act to in a city or for the worst how to act around people.

With the fire now rolling filling the night air with smoke, The Stranger had pulled his stone dagger from the leg sheath and began to clean his stringer of fish first. The Stranger did all this cleaning, just like he would sleep, outside because he could not bring himself to go inside the shack knowing emptiness only followed. The Stranger never got his final peace with his father a year ago the wolves took his father from him violently leaving not even the body for burial. The distant howling brought him back to reality and a fit of rage but it passed he was tired, but nonetheless he HATED the wolves and his year trip brought the deaths of many wolves, was they all her pack? Or any of them? The Stranger didn't ask nor cared.

Two hours had passed now, The Stranger was wrapping the last of his deer in leaves, and then putting it into a sack. He was ready for the days walk in the morning and had only one task before he left, to burn his shack because he felt he wasn't ever going to return. The Stranger rolled his sleeping sack out and laid on his back letting the warm fire relax his tight body, he was going to need sleep that healed his body both physically and mentally. The Stranger snapped his eyes open, he didn't even know when or how long he had been asleep because all he knew was something was out there approaching through the forest. The Stranger was up quickly both his daggers out crouched low ready to strike but nothing showed itself.

"Who approaches me in the dead of night without light to show your presence?", he barked out into the night, "If my eyes find you so will these daggers, and heed my words friend I am excellent aim!"

That is when the lady finally showed herself and was right beside The Stranger cackling, The Stranger swung wildly at her but she was no longer there but now in front of him, and The Stranger chucked his dagger at her but it passed right through striking a tree. The lady knocked The Stranger against a tree and used the limbs to bind him, she smiled at him and her eyes were green but the flames of rage danced behind them. "You can not hurt me in dreams Stranger", she said with a cocky winning smile. The Stranger just stared at her if his eyes could shoot fire she would be crispy black by now.

The Stranger went to speak but found he could not and when he tried he only began to choke, so the lady spoke, "Silence Stranger before you choke for I have things I need to tell you about your journey and how to find me. In the city of Madrid you will find your brother, his name is Wayland Isgred. But be warned finding him will be greatly diffacult because your brother does not want to be found by anyone, and when you do find him I will surrender myself to your blade but you must hear my tale for I know who you truely are Stranger and what I know you will want to listen before you pass your final blow."

The limbs of the tree released The Stranger and he fel to his knees but he did not look up when spoke, "I will hear your tell witch, but believe me no matter what you have to tell me it WILL not stop me from cutting your throat!" This made the woman laugh and as The Stranger looked up a giant wolf was leaping at him mouth wide open, it had clean white sharp teeth, and as it hit The Stranger catching his throat he awoke.
The Stranger sat up with a violent jerk the roll up bed stuck to his back from the sweat, and he caught his breath quickly. He felt his head could explode, "I have a, brother? The witch lies I know it! A dream is all I just had my mind just adding to my hate for the woman, I will not let her web of lies STOP ME!" But he could not shake the curistoy from his mind, because just what if he did have a brother? He knew now was not the time for pondering on thoughts from a dream, the light of dawn was breaking through the trees, it was time for him to move. It was time.
