(( NO I'm sorry this took so long and that it is so short ><)) It wasn't that Nevada didn't trust Reid around her animal. The anthro was simply worried that, in her tired state, Reid might accidentally take Hephaestus for an enemy. That didn't seem to be so, but she couldn't have been sure. At this point anyway, Reid seemed to be quiet settled around the animals. Watching her interactions with her horse, Nevada realized that she had worried for nothing. She doubted the older traveler would have harmed Hephaestus on purpose, and if she had she would have regretted it. Probably, anyway. "Still, I apologize. He's way so smart for a donkey, and he has yet to learn manners." Hephaestus huffed indignantly, glowering down his muzzle at his master as if he were an insulted noble. Nevada ignored him, and instead turned to study Reid and her horse. Tobias, as she had learned that he was called, was dark coated and strong in build. Nevada suspected Reid had been traveling with him for ages now. "He's a beautiful animal." Nevada commented, ignoring Hephaestus's bray of hurt. She patted him on the head and continued. "Have you been traveling together long?" Overhead, storm clouds began to form. A distant rumble brought Nevada's attention to the direction she had entered Etruria from. "It seems the storm is moving." She murmured, eyeing the clouds. Though she didn't want to leave Hephaestus out in the rain - she would never hear the end of it - she doubted the storm would occur to soon. The bluster of sand and rain had some ways to go before it could actually threaten the town. Nevada turned once again to study Reid. A small frown pulled at the anthros lips as she thought over her options. She knew Reid knew something about Borin that she did not. She wasn't sure if it had something to do with his sudden disappearance, but it would certainly make sense. She hadn't known Borin for very long, but Reid had. Reid also was probably more willing to make her relationships a little more personal. The anthro mulled over her options, rubbing Hephaestus’s neck as she did so. On one hand, she could leave the whole thing be and continue to wonder about what happened to one of her business partner. On the other, she could do a bit of snooping and possibly figure out the reason why he might have disappeared. In the long run, she preferred snooping. "Look," the anthro started slowly. She didn't look at Reid, she didn't really want to at this point. "I know you know something that might be part of why Borin disappeared. I also know that you might not want to share it. The truth is, I want to figure out why he disappeared, and I would appreciate any help I could get." She looked at the redhead now, wondering if her words would have any meaning to the older merchant. The younger traveler sighed and stretched, glancing behind her at the pub, and then back at Reid. Today had certainly been more interesting than she had expected it to be. "So, are you going to come back inside, or are you off?" |

A vampire in control of his urges

(It's not short xD MINE is short >: Museless as always for the past ten months -_- Though realistically more like...two? Anyways on to the post) Vorkael was content to watch now as they left, talked, came back. While they were gone he took care to keep his mind mostly blank. He was still on a different knife edge, only a different one now; if he slipped over, it would put him right back where he'd been when he'd come in and gotten in that argument/fight with the two women. His mind lingered back towards that; how assuming they all had been at those moments. All three of them had had their fiery and more rational moments. The two also didn't like him much. His mood took a twist on that knife edge and suddenly he just wished to be alone. He finished the rest of his mug, set it down, and stood. "Ladies...I'm going to be off. Wish we had gotten to a better start but atleast it turned out well enough." The vampire smiled and flourished a little bow. "Safe night to you both, and I hope you figure out what happened to your mutual acquaintance." And then he was gone, the door closing in his wake. ( I feel kind of bad for him leaving, but you know it's his choice lol I'll still watch the thread (: ) Edited by Vor, Nov 10 2011, 11:34 PM.
