Jabari's actions became more gentle as she laughingly chastised his eagerness, but his hands did not remove themselves from her supple chest, continuing to slowly massage the lather into her breasts the entire time her lips tauntingly brushed over his own, releasing her when she pulled away from him to arch her back seductively, showing off her shapely torso before lathering herself up and handing the bar to him. He lathered himself, raising himself in the water so that the surface was at his hips, spreading the scented lather over his toned chest and abs, and onto his thighs, eyes locked with Kara's all the while, breaking only to look at her body on occasion. Finally the two of them were done and she stood up suddenly, her hips right at eye level, before stepping out of the tub. Jabari quickly followed, catching the sudden blast of air and finding himself completely dried off too. How did she do that? He watched her hips swaying as she made her way over to the bed and followed her, picking up the outfit that the gypsies had selected for him and throwing it on. The gypsies had selected them a matching ensemble, the pants they had chosen for him being composed of a luxurious blue silken material and trimmed with gold, held up by a belt composed of fine leather and plated with gold as well. He slid on the vest, also a deep blue color, and composed of the same silk, sat snugly against his body, with no means of buttoning or fastening, revealing the central part of his torso at all times. Golden fringe hung from the sleeves, or lack thereof, of the top, and they had also provided him with a deep blue and gold bandana which he tied over his head to restrain his dreadlocks during the festival. "They chose well... You look lovely." The dark-skinned elf took Kara on his arm and stepped out of the tent with her, taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells. It was easy to see why she would be drawn to such an atmosphere, the energetic music filling the air and driving many to dance, the powerful scent of the food the women had prepared, and which he had helped with, having admittedly enjoyed the company, making the mouths of many water. "Wow..." |

Kara smiled at his compliment, inclining her head gently in thanks. "As do you, this style suits you." She offered in return as they began to head toward the fire, drinking in the magic before them. It was the closest she had come to her past life since leaving it, the nostalgia was almost overwhelming. Remembering days prior to ascertaining the wind spirit were hard to recall and often only came in random fragments or with deep concentration that could span days, now, she was being jarred by a sudden rush of them. Her feet hesitated a moment, startled by the sudden faces she could just barely remember. They passed as quickly as they had come however, and she shook them from her with a small smile at Jabari. "Out of the more proper etiquette of society, such as the courts of Razarod's palace in Angkar, there are still peoples who revere the earth and the elements. They still hold a close bond for the trees, and the passing of the seasons. The onslaught of spring has always been a cause for great joy and celebration among them. The sun has reawoken and burst from the winters grips, and in doing so enticed the earth to once again grow and provide for them." She explained softly, just as they rounded the last wall of tents and issued forth into the large open area, alight with passion that roused both sight and sound. The fires now leapt towards the darkened sky in a heated dance, almost as if trying to reach for the stars themselves. The music still played, more rich and empowering then it had even been at their tent door, and many where whirling about the fire in elaborate dancing while others sat a distance away watching and eating. As they entered they were immediately greeted with already filled plates and mugs of wine, the bearers dancing and smiling, vanishing back into the throng just as quickly as they had come. Kara laughed excitedly, her eyes lit with the innocence of a child as she moved with Jabari to take up a seat just out of the circle of those dancing. They ate well, the food as rich as it smelled. The wine was strong, strong and aromatic mixed with something she assumed to be a sap- it was no wonder they had been warned of its easily intoxicating properties. Kara drank deep and her body swayed gently to the rhythm of the drums. They were never in want, someone always passing to refill a cup before there was even time to accept or decline. Just as the music struck a sudden tune, more seductive and slower paced then previous, Shardene' emerged from the mass clad in a rich emerald green attire similar to Kara's, but with even more flesh reveled. Her deep bronze skin was striking and vivid against the green, and she sauntered in a gentle dance towards them, her movements fluid like water. She grasped both of their hands and pulled them towards the throng of dancers, both too wine drunk to deny. The three swayed together for a short time, till everyone broke into partners, Kara suddenly taken up by Rashme' with a smile at Jabari who was left with Shardene'. Yet there was no rivalry here, it was simply the wine and the music, and the enjoyment of the dance. Vocals were added here and there into the tune, weaving in an out of the melody. Whether one could dance or not, no one could deny the call of the music. The song changed, and now, to Rashme's disappointment, Kara's form gracefully slipped into the space between Jabari and Shar, reclaiming her partner with a smile. It was clear she was no novice at the art of dance, and even Shardene' had to admit she had great skill. Kara smiled at Jabari, the fire reflecting in her blue pools, as her hips swayed circularly clockwise, then counterclockwise, the chimes adding to the effect. She drew close to Jabari, before pulling a small distance away and dancing around him. Rashme' watched them, jealousy flared just under the surface, he would not give up just yet, but found another partner for the meantime. Suddenly the music stopped, and Kara fell into Jabari breathing heavily with a laugh. Shardene' directed everyone to gather in a semi circle and sit around the fire until she was the only one standing above the mass of 50 or so people gathered. She began to tell a tale, the tale of the sun and the earth, their relationship and commitment to each other, and the renewal Spring brought. The musicians struck a soft beat as she spoke, and finally the tale ended with a soft ballad to the moon. Shar turned then to Kara and motioned for her to come forth, which she did as if she knew her purpose before it was told. Shar whispered to her and Kara smiled deviously and inclined her head in acceptance, impressed with the woman's ability to have assumed such. Shar smiled and turned back to her people, giving no other explanation then then Kara had a ballad befitting the celebration. Shar spoke swiftly to the musicians who, seeming shocked by the request, struck up a very old tune. It was smooth, and placid, much less energetic then the gypsies, but powerful. Her voice carried as she began to hum, letting the melody envelope them, before she began to sing. "When in the springtime of the year When the trees are crowned with leaves When the ash and oak, and the birch and yew Are dressed in ribbons fair. When owls call the breathless moon in the blue veil of the night. When shadows of the trees appear amidst the lantern's light." It was shocking really. She had a voice so unexpected, so fluid and calming, despite her very dissimilar personality. She finished with the last few ballads, and let the music come to a close before bowing graciously and returning to Jabari's side. Shar smiled at her and called for more wine and dancing, and the music erupted back into it's boisterous lull, the time of respect and remembrance past. Kara leaned into Jabari as their glasses were filled, and whispered gently in his ear... "I do think, I have drank and danced my fill... and I have a very passionate urge to return to the bed we so rudely left." She added with a smile. Edited by Kara Arianrhod, Jul 27 2011, 12:14 AM.

Jabari looked around the party with large wondrous eyes as Kara spoke. Part of what she said about their way of life reminded him of home: Mainly the lack of the proper etiquette of society and revering the earth. There was one big difference though: "Kinda sounds like home... Except they weren't this festive back home. I like it. Is this where you come from?" It is only seconds later that food and drink were thrust upon them, which Jabari gladly accepting, taking them gladly, and drinking in the powerful sweet wine, which enhanced the experience, and the two of them took a seat near the dancers. They ate and drank their fill, thoroughly enjoying the rich food and drink as they conversed, their bodies swaying a bit to the music. Sudden the music ramped itself up, a more driving beat with a seductive, exotic melody, and Shardene came out of the crowd, pulling the two of them into the throng of dancers. She was dressed in an ensemble similar to Kara's, except instead of a deep blue it contained a rich green. Much to Jabari's enjoyment, Shardene's version of the already revealing outfit was different in other ways as well: The skirt sat so lowly on her hips that it was a miracle (for her, anyway) that it did not drop to her ankles from the simple act of walking, flashing everyone. The top also plunged lower for her, her breasts threatening to burst out at any second, but never actually doing so. The three of them danced together for a bit, Shardene moving up against both Jabari and Kara alternately (the latter mostly to put on a show, after all, what man's eyes could resist the sight of both of their hips swaying seductively at once?) Finally Rashme broke in and escorted Kara way to dance with him, leaving Shardene with Jabari. While he had been enjoying Kara's company very much, the half-elf certainly could not have any complaints about his current partner, who took advantage of the situation, both her hand and her chest finding ample oppurtunity to press against Jabari's toned torso during the dance. After several moments of this, she was interrupted by Kara, who pushed her way gently in between the two of them, dancing around Jabari and gyrating her hips seductively. Shardene patted Jabari on the ass and winked before returning to the crowd to find another lucky partner. The music stopped, and Jabari caught Kara as she fell into him giddily, his arms wrapping around her waist. The two of them sat down in front of the fire and listened, catching their breath from the exhertion of the dance as Shardene spun a gyspy tale, a tale of the Sun, the earth, and the Springtime. Jabari listened as she sung, taking it all in. The celebration was so... fascinating. He was awestruck by how much they simply enjoyed the world around them. They certainly knew how to have a good time. If only they had been that way back home, he thought. As Shardene's tale came to a close, Kara took her place at the head of the group, and sang a tale herself, her voice was soft and smooth, but simultaneously powerful. The sound flowed from her lips, as beautiful as her visage, and when she returned to Jabari, he smiled, and complimented her performance. "That was beautiful." And with that, the ceremonious part ended, and the party struck itself back up. And it was then that Kara leaned into the darker man, whispering into his ear a suggestion that he found all too perfect. A smirk covered his lips as he helped her to her feet and began to make his way back to the tent with her on her arm. As soon as they enterred the tent, he could contain himself no longer: He turned her around and backed her to the wall, his hands running up and down her bare sides and kissing her passionately many times, his lips working down her jaw, neckline, and even to her chest, before lifting her and laying her onto the bed. |

She placed her small hand in Jabari's dark one, and he pulled her to her feet. They exited the festivities, everyone too caught up in their drunken stupor and dancing to notice. It didn't take long for them to weave through the tents and stumble into their own. A fire smoldered in the middle of the hearth, someone having ignited it when the festivities began to keep the chill from the dewy morning. It gave a faint glow, lighting the room dimly, as the touches from outside lit small balls of light along the canvas. It took less then a breath before he was upon her; trailing kisses along her light olive skin and caressing eagerly the length of her body. He backed her to the tent wall, a pity it was not solid in that moment, before lifting her up. She wrapped her legs around his torso, arms around his neck as she kissed him back fiercely. The time for games was over, the wine making them both submissive to their primal urges. The fur bedding cushioned her body as he laid her down, her legs unwrapping but never untangling themselves from his. Caution and soft touches were not a part of this equation, all was passion and abruptness from long drawn out tension. Kara trailed greedily from his mouth down his neck, thrusting the vest from his shoulders and making to rid him of it as her hands trailed down and back up his fitted form. Her fingers were already pulling loose the sash of his belt as her lips closed around his ear. She pulled away just enough to whisper in a ragged breath, "Let's see if you can keep up." The spiced incense and the warmth from the fire mixed with the intoxication from the wine was dizzying. It wrapped the two amorous beings in a hazy world where all was lost but the friction of hips and ragged breaths, whisperings mere mumblings of gratification and pleasure; All the while the music drowned out the outside world. It was a fair time before Kara rolled away from him, both panting in exhaustion their bodies damp with a layer of sweat. Both were too drained and drunk to speak and sleep claimed them before a word could be uttered between them. In the early hours, the dim blue tint lighting the world a few hours before dawn would break, in the still damp air, Jabari would wake to the sound of terrified, guttural screams that broke like lightening, amidst a myriad of sounds he could not place... All their clothes still lay scattered across the earthen floor, but Kara was no where to be seen. |

The light was just a dim blue outside as the man awoke from his short-lived slumber. Slowly the memories of last night re-entered his head, which was still hazy with the powerful wine the two of them had consumed so heavily the night before. It was all returning to him now: the party, the dancing, the stories, and... oh yes... The several hours of pleasure the two of them had had together. The tensions had finally snapped and there had been nothing more to hold either one of them back. Not that there had been much holding either of them back in the first place. At this point, had she told him she was a former goddess, it would not have surprised him at all, as god-like as the mysterious silver-haired woman had been in bed. He certainly had no desire to go anywhere, still exhausted from their many rounds together the previous evening, and rolled over to place am arm over his companion for the night before going back to sleep... Except his arm landed on nothingness. Jabari opened his eyes and rubbed the sweat from his face, looking around their tent. Kara was gone, but the clothing the gypsies had given them still lay all around the bed. Whether her original clothes were still there or not he could not be entirely sure yet, as the floor of the tent was still blanketed in discarded clothing, hastily tossed aside to make room for the eager, amorous pair. It was then that he finally noticed the noises: frightened screams among the many that he could not interpret. What was going on? Were Kara and the gypsies in danger? Why had this not woken him up yet? He had to find out what it was. In a rush, the half-elf bolted from the bed and rifled through the scattered garments lying on the floor, quickly putting his own pants back on before he charged out the door. He walked through the shadows of the tents towards the sounds, his flesh almost concealed against the darkness of the night, as he advanced, ready to figure out what the hell those noises where, and where Kara had gone. |

The ground was wet. The morning air thick, too thick for the dew that clung to the blades of grass. It was still too dark between the tents to make out much, but as Jabari fumbled his way towards the noise, and rounded the corner that would issue him into the open grounds of last nights festivities, he was suddenly dropped into a ring of pure carnage. Those that had taken the ground to sleep by the fire, whether in drunk surrender or from plain exhaustion, were now scattered about it in parts, and even pieces. All the bright colors were now washed in various crimson hues that ran from almost black to rose red. It looked like a battlefield as opposed to the lively camp of the prior night; nothing was reminiscent of the Gypsies but the colors that poked out from the onslaught of red, and random lifeless faces- where he could find them. Now that the light was breaking he could see that his feet were coated with a film of blood that had mixed with the dew and clung to the grasses. How much had he missed making his way here? Jabari was only given a small moment to adjust to the horrific scene, for the momentary silence was now gone and screams were once more replacing the morning where the sound of early rising birds should be. If he felt like vomiting he did not have time for it, maybe it was the bravado in his masculine character to find Kara, or the sheer will to tear his eyes from the massacre, but, he pushed his legs through and forward into the litter of tents opposite of him. Most people would avert there eyes as best they could, attempting to take in only things to guide them towards whatever they were looking for. If Jabari chose to take it all in, he would notice tents with peculiar slashes running down and across them, completely collapsed tents- some of which had begun to smolder from the nights dying embers, and in both cases blood generally spattered across the fabric. The camp was a decent size, but in the sudden nightmare Jabari had awoken into, the tents seemed more like a never ending labyrinth. Each corner seeming to glimpse something more unfathomable. Try as he might, whatever was attacking the Gypsies did not discriminate, as men, women, and even more ghastly, the children were all preyed upon and slain without mercy. Jabari was finally beginning to make it to the outer ring of tents when the screams became spaced and further apart, until they stopped all together. As he passed the last tent he could here the sputtering and terrified begging that could not be appropriately coherent sentences. In the space between the tents and the tree line, his dark eyes finally drank in the cause of the carnage and his lost damsel- though the shock that they be one in the same was not one that settled quickly. Shardene lay ten feet from him, at least her upper torso, and just beyond Kara stood, as bare as she had been entangled in the tent with him only hours before. Her light olive skin flawless, long flowing silver hair draping down her shoulders completely unsoiled. To her left Rashme' hung suspended a few feet above the ground, the cause completely elusive to the naked eye, magic the only rational conclusion. The Gypsy, once exotic and mysterious with an air of composed and suave tenancies, now looked as if his very world had been reduced to ashes- and in truth it had. His whole clan had been massacred before his eyes, the things he had witnessed, would scar any soul for the remainder of their life- most thoroughly by the effortless and ruthlessness by which it had been done. Kara stood almost languidly next to him, contemplating Shardene's halves, while twirling her sai's gently to and fro. Her composure was beyond unnerving, for she showed not an ounce of emotion on her face, no remorse or even anger. When she looked up at Jabari's arrival, she looked as if she were gazing at the sky, placidly watching the clouds roll by. Rashme' seemed to be attempting to appease to Jabari in his mumblings, something that could only be assumed from the sheer horror in the mans eyes which were fixed now on Jabari. Why she had saved him for last, or if he simply had avoided her till now, one couldn't be quite sure though the former was more likely. There was nothing but a long silence that passed between them, Kara never stopping the sais rotation. Suddenly Rashme' was dropped to his knees, though it was clear whatever had been suspending him elicited the new action as well. Kara finally broke gaze with Jabari and turned her attention back to the gypsy. This time she crossed her arms as she contemplated his groveling. It wasn't long however until at least one hand had resumed the methodical twisting. More silence. She was completely unconcerned with Jabari, and while the dark man was likely pondering what the hell to do, or even if there was something to be done, the sai stopped. Kara smiled gingerly before striking it across Rashme's throat. The flawless curves of her skin finally allowed the spray of blood to fleck her features, something that seemed to only satisfy her even more. She waited till he quit choking and sputtering before a seemingly invisible axe lobed his head from his shoulders. Finally whatever magic had bound him was released and his headless corpse crumbled to the ground. Again, she considered the body before her with little regard. She turned back to Jabari slowly, her eyes tightening for a moment as she seemed to be debating, then her smile returned. "Good morning, Jabari." she said in a tone that was nither sweet nor cold, but some eerie mix of the two. And with that she winked at him and turned towards the forest. She sauntered into the treeline and out of his line of vision, no explanation to be had. And with that she was gone. Simply gone. |
