YOU CLICK HERE! Name – Ichigan, Zero Age – Revived at 29, unknown past that Gender – Male Alignment – Chaotic Neutral Social Class – Commoner Occupation – Unemployed/ Race – Kitsune Weapons – A user of magic, Zero doesn’t carry any specified weapon, save for a small silver knife he keeps belted to his right leg that rarely serves a purpose. Physical Appearance – ![]() A good way to start describing Zero is to compare what he really is to his own image of himself. "PPSH! My look are no less than perfect. Woman die for me with my shimmering jet-black hair, my huge muscles, my sexy height and my gorgeous face.” Beginning, he really isn’t that tall, standing at only 5’ 7”, and though he may have a fair amount of muscle, it’s really only on his arms and thin shoulders. A bit of work was put in his abs, but not really enough to notice, and he has skinny legs that make him a bit top-heavy. Like the rest of his family, Zero has fairly small hands and very small feet. His skin is fairly grey due to his revival, though, giving him a bit of a mysterious edge. His face is long and fairly thin, with the curve of his cheekbone fairly visible. He has one deep-set crimson red eye on his left side and no eye on the other due to it being taken out at his death. A long, thin nose stands in center, and the curve of his lips is fairly small, though exaggerated. By no means is the Kitsune’s hair jet-black, though it is very dark. Though seeming black, it naturally highlights in a bright yellow. Decently long, it tumbles down to his lower back, though is usually tied at the base of his neck. He has very long bangs that have been brushed over to hide his missing eye, where the rest falls beside his black fox-ears, pierced with a blue twist earring. He has a puffy tail, too, though it is usually hidden (tails aren’t manly, apparently). In terms of attire, he generally prefers dark colors--preferably red or grey, as well as short or no sleeves. Almost always will he been seen with his cape, which includes a shoulder plate on the left side and buckles across to the right. The cape itself is white, and trails all the way down to the ground to the point where he will very commonly trip on it. He always carries his knife as well, which is strapped to his left leg. Another note in terms of appearance would go to the runes that cover his entire body. Normally, they aren’t visible, though when he builds energy or uses magic, they will glow in red. Due to being a Kitsune, he also has a fox form, with jet-black fur shining in yellow, with his one red eye. He is fairly large, and certain parts of his pelt glow when he uses magic (for the runes are still there). Personality – Zero idolizes himself. He finds himself to have Godlike qualities, and is INCREDIBLY self-centered. He’ll go so far as to start to fanboying over his own appearance, which he values... more than anything. He’s the type who won’t care if you punch him; he’ll be more concerned about his face then about you. And because of his arrogant personality, he is a womanizer. He tries to play hard-to-get, giving women small little hints and trying to draw them in. Of course, he’ll never care about them enough to love due to his obsession with himself. In fact, it’s for that reason that he never seems to keep a woman very long--he’ll start to go on about it and they’ll slap him. He takes a lot of slaps. He has the tendency to change his character when working with different girls, too, so that he might have a more successful seduction. Despite the fact that he practically grew up in the streets and has a fairly good amount of street smarts, Zero has the uncanny ability to piss people off. Slaps from females, punches-to-the-face from males. It was because of this that he has the muscle amount that he does--so that when he gets into a brawl, he doesn’t lose quite that easily (he’s a HUGE wimp). It’s usually his arrogance that pushes people over the edge, either that or his bluntness, one of the qualities that runs in his family. Since becoming a Kitsune, Zero has noticed that he has become fairly attracted to pulling tricks on people. It became a hobby--setting up some sort of trap for someone to walk into and then be made a fool of. It is incredibly enjoyable for him. Through all of his arrogance and toughness(?), he does have a soft side, though mainly (if not only) for his sister. Incredibly protective of those he DOES care for, Zero goes to varying lengths to look out for them. Although, he still enjoys teasing and will still get distracted by... himself. History – The first born child to his parents, Zero grew up in a small, isolated village in the middle of nowhere. His father was a feline anthro, though he had been rendered; he always had taken after his mother. Being the first-born child in his entire village, all of the people in it had been very fond of him, especially as he aged, which turned him into the self-centered person he is today. When he was six years old, his sister Mayple was born (under a different name, though). At first, he had no idea that that meant there would be another child in the house forever--he thought that she was just there for a while. Although, when he did realize, he figured that it would be fun to have a friend younger than him, to take her on as an apprentice and teach her things to make himself feel more superior. He’d bonded with her right away, and they were incredibly close. As the other families in the village had started having children, also, Zero became the leader of their little gang-like thing, due to the fact that they all idolized him. Around this time he was fifteen--Mayple was nine and already beginning to drift into the world of Libraries--and was starting to realize things about the world, how it worked, that there was a lot more out there then just his small little village. At sixteen, he decided that he wanted to do something with his life, aside from his dream of becoming ruler-of-the-world (he was dead serious, too, though it was obvious he wasn’t going to get anywhere with that). He began helping out in the fields, and went with his father to the larger towns to sell produce, where he began to wonder more about what went on and how things worked and why woman grabbed his attention so much. Three years later, he decided to head out into the world and see what he could do for himself--no fighting skills, no street smarts, just arrogance and bit of talent as a farmer. For a while, he worked as a merchant, learning ways to draw people in and sell things--which he would later use on women--and made a decent amount of money, and he learned how to fight from an incredibly tough-guy co-worker. Later on, he ventured off and began working odd jobs, traveling a bit and trying to gain a little wisdom. All he got from it was that he found himself pretty freaking awesome. Upon turning twenty eight, disaster struck. He’d been tagging along with a group of peddlers who went from town to town selling magic stones and books on rune magic (he was currently serving as their their pack-mule), and they’d been ambushed by a gang of bandits. Dropping everything, Zero told the peddlers (who were in their older years) to get away, and that he could hold them off. This, obviously, was an overstatement. The bandits man-slaughtered him when he tried to fight back. His arms, chest, and calves were completely ripped up, as well as the right side of his face--his eye had even been clawed out. Did he live through that? Hell no. Screams of horror and pain were released from his dying form as he struggled to hang on, to fight back, but as his muscles were cut he simply began to cling to life, to breath, until he gasped one last breath before choking up blood as his organs failed. There Zero lay, on the path, most of the stones and half of the books stolen, a bloody, torn up, dead, mess. And there Zero lay, the silent blanket of death slowly causing him to disappear as the days passed. No one was going to find his body. He was simply going to decompose there. But he noticed something strange--his spirit was still in his body, as if he was in merely a deep, pleasant, and dreamless sleep. At one point, a small fox approached his dead body, all of the blood around him having dried a while ago. It sat at his side, staring at him, seeming to notice that unlike many corpses that it had seen, this one still possessed its spirit, its soul. It had been held outside of the cycle of death and rebirth, forced to stay there for eternity, bound to its body and never allowed to rest in peace. Finding this a torture, the fox bent its head down over the man’s body, touching its nose to Zero’s unbeating heart and revealing itself as an ancient fox spirit as energy began to surge through his body once again, skin stretching over his wounds and muscles straining to weave back together. His now single eye shot open, and he immediately began choking for air. What...? was the first thought that returned to his mind, and instantly he heard his heart pounding hard in his ears. Looking around, Zero found that his entire body was screaming in pain, coated in healing wounds... but other then that, it was fine. What had happened? He’d died, right? Blinking, he noticed something in his peripheral vision--a small fox was laying lifelessly at his side. Did it give its life for me...? Laying there for a couple of hours as the pain died down, Zero eventually was able to sit up, finding that he now had... a tail. And... ears? But, wait, he hadn’t gotten the anthro gene! Flicking his new parts around, trying them out, he realized that they were not cat--they were fox. So... he was a... fox-anthro? What was he? How old was he now? How long had he been dead? Was he really dead? Ignoring as many of those questions as possible, the now-Kitsune (though he didn’t know he was one yet) decided that the first thing he needed to do was to learn how to defend himself. Looking around at the items that had been left behind by the thieves, there were a few books on Rune Magic, and one on Alchemy; all of the stones were shattered at this point. Sighing and unable to move for the most part, Zero pulled himself over to lean against a tree and began reading--this was all he had at his disposal, and he needed to take advantage of it. Through it, he managed to heal enough to perform a ritual that would imprint all of the runes that would be needed onto his body (another way to do it would be to spell them all out each time, since applying the characters onto the skin was permanent, he also thought them to be sexy), and through it he was even able to learn a bit of alchemy. He tested his skills on game--he needed food, after all--and they proved amateur at best. After providing the fox a proper burial, he set out to find better resources to learn from. It seemed that years had passed by the time he’d become good enough with magic to be able to defend himself, but even through it all he still had no idea what he was, what he could do with his new life, or where Mayple had run off to and was doing. He wanders. FIRST FIVE ABILITIES Heightened Senses - Obviously, being a Kitsune, Zero has a much better set of senses than a human’s, especially in terms of hearing and smell. Simple Transmutation - At the cost of a small amount of energy, Zero is able to transmute small objects via alchemic magic when providing the small samples of the ingredients required to do so (Basically, by using magic he uses less material to get more out of the transmutation). Rune: Single Fire - Via Rune Magic, Zero can summon an armful of fire to use at his disposal. When casting, all of the runes glow, and arcane circles appear at the sight of summon as well as at his feet. Rune: Bladed Fire: Via Rune Magic, Zero is able to summon the swing of a blade to a desired location that is backed with the power of fire. When casting, all of the runes glow, and arcane circles appear at the sight of summon as well as at his feet. Transform - As a Kitsune, Zero has the ability to change his form, unrestricted by age, race, or gender. Although, he cannot keep his ears or tail disguised, nor can he give himself a second eye. He prefers to remain in his true form. SIMPLE ABILITIES Foxfire - Also common among the kitsune is the ability to wield foxfire, which takes the form of either lightning or flame. This can be channelled through the mouth, hands, paws, and tail(s). It can also be summoned in small balls of floating fire for the purpose of lighting one's way. (*description belongs to Yori*) OVER-SEEING MIRROR EYE - With the touch of a hand, Zero can give any inanimate object a reflective, mirror-like surface, so he may check his appearance at any time.
