The night was dark and silent for the most part as she found herself wandering once again. Though now the moon was dark and silent. She had spent to much time in that town. To much time with that person. Now, she was alone again. Left to search for things...There was a great deal more she needed to find. Nicolet looked at her surroundings. Unable to prevent herself from wondering how she'd gotten here. She was surrounded by blooming roses, of all colors. Though exactly how she'd gotten here was beyond her. She really should have been paying more attention to her surroundings. It was just that most times she really didn't care. So it didn't make much of a difference she thought as she wandered through the flowers. For all intents and purposes the place was amazing. She hadn't seen another person in ages. Enough so that she was beginning to wonder if she had truly gotten lost. The world around her was an odd place. She thought, as she rummaged through her memories of the past few weeks. It was enough that she knew it wasn't her world. The places and the people, she found here. Nothing stirred her memories. Only the moon itself seemed to stir her. Though tonight it was silent, as if off somewhere looking for something. What exactly, she couldn't know. Though it brought a soft smile to her lips. The smell of the roses, was sweet, and hung thick in the night air. Nicolet stood silently looking around. She was fast becoming bored with both life and the garden. Finding distractions only occasionally. Yet it was never enough to truly satisfy her. |

Nicolet would not be alone with her wandering mind for long, if she was ever alone to begin with. Folks tend to ignore the wildlife around them. From tiny frogs to birds, it was all just the background of their lives. From this background, something came slithering, white stripes along an otherwise long, black form the only proof that something was, indeed, moving beneath the rose bushes. Lazily, with all the time in the world and then some, the huge kingsnake began to uncoil himself, slithering further out into the open, into the moonlight. The behemoth beast slithered past her feet, stopping to pause and look at her as if he were deciding whether or not to eat her. Seemingly intrigued by the girl, the serpent's head rose into the air, stopping at the height of her waist to flick his tongue and taste her scent. "Are you a Sotoan native?" the snake posed a simple question, as complicated as a spontaneously talking snake was. He'd been haunting Soto off an on within the weeks, memorizing the lay of the land, its culture, its spirit, and had even done a little bit of recruiting. Though he was no novice at this game, he was finding it exponentially more difficult to remain undetected. He'd resorted to this form, and while his identity had remained confidential, he'd also had far too many run-ins with mad men who wanted to catch and/or eat him. After narrowly avoiding another bloody, high-profile incident, he'd escaped into this garden, taking a little time to rest before returning to Morrim. He hated seeing people sitting alone beneath the night sky, but not because he pitied their isolation. Instead, he found himself always provoked to mess with them. Perfect opportunities flaunted themselves in front of him, and most of him didn't really care enough to fight the urge. Now with the added title of 'Emperor' and the wariness the entire world had against him, it was indescribably satisfying to hear a woman scream and run within seconds of showing his face. |

She heard the quite rustling of leaves. Drawing her attention to a nearby bush. Watching as flashes of white appeared in the foliage moving. Slithering slowly from the bushes into the open space before her. The snake was a huge white appearing creature. She stood still watching, as it twisted back and rose up appearing to look her over as if trying to determine her nature. She watched mildly interested as she watched it's tongue dart out to taste the air just inches from her. Then it spoke. Great another talking creature? Really this seemed to be fast becoming a habit with her. Nicolet thought even as she heard the question. A Sotoan native? Really, had she ever been a native of any place she wondered. “Can a lost soul lay claim to a place or home?” She asked in response to the snakes question. Intrigued once more by the idea of having another scaled creature talking to her. “Though I must wonder, at the nature of those here. If all scaled things can speak, I'm going to have to pay more attention when I'm talking to my self.” Nicolet commented. Even as she fought back an urge to reach out and pet the huge snake before her. She wasn't particularly fond of animals it was simply, her curiosity was demanding weather he was a snake, or if it was just an appearance or illusion. “White as the moonlight and oh, so beautiful.” She said without thinking even as she moved slightly forward. Her hand moving towards the snake, seemingly of it's own will. |

“Can a lost soul lay claim to a place or home?” The serpent tilted its head at her, eyes narrowing to display a very human expression, one primarily of judgment. It was a simple yes or no question, and here she goes, being all cryptic as if she really had anything important to hide. "Mm. Indeed," he replied to her comment of speaking reptiles. Though her literal meaning did not interest him in the least, he could agree that there were always snakes listening on topics you'd rather not wish them to know. Her hand which hesitantly stuck out grabbed his attention, head whipping in its direction. He eyed it, eyed her, before his neck slid forward and lifted beneath her hand. She would be able to feel his cool, clean scales like silk. "You know I'm not really a giant snake, right? That you're actually petting someone?" His tail became coiled around her left boot. "I wonder why it is that people don't hesitate with petting a dangerous, wild animal, but they don't just walk up and start playing with other peoples' hair." Directly after finishing speaking, his head whipped around, jaws clamping tight around the side of her hand. The breed he'd chosen to replicate did not possess venomous fangs, but the serration of his teeth would still not provide any kind of physical pleasure. On the other hand, he was enjoying the feeling of sinking into her flesh. |

She watched, as he moved to view her outstretched hand. Then slithered to position himself so that his head was right beneath her hand the scales smooth and sleek. She stroked his head, as he commented on her realizing that he wasn't really a giant snake. “Yes, a person or something else?” She said watching even as he moved again his tail coiling around her boot. As he commented on people not hesitating to pet dangerous animals, yet not playing with peoples hair. His teeth sank into her flesh, causing a sharp pain to shoot up her arm. “Damn.” Nicolet cursed aloud even as she fought the urge to pull back. That would only make things worse. She thought, moving quickly, to grab him by the neck at the base of the head. “You admit to being a dangerous animal? Though, had you hair I might still be tempted to pet it.” She said even as she gritted her teeth against the pain his teeth caused. While exerting enough pressure at the base of his skull to restrict his movements and make his enjoyment of biting her that much more challenging. If she wanted to dislodge him she could have done so. Though she was much more interested in watching him squirm to figure out a way to get free from her grip. She could handle the pain of his fangs, though it was difficult not to return the favor. Even as she noted he still had his tail about her boot. |

The hand at the base of his skull, just around his throat, rendered his head immobile to his surprise. The serpent's sharp, hollow eyes darted up to her face skeptically, but it was still a while before he eased up. Instead, he took this opportunity to use his great unveiling to see what kind of a reaction he might be able to arouse from her. The coiled tail around her ankle disintegrated, the throat she held in her hand growing wider, soon too thick to put her whole hand around. Long locks of white hair spilled from the crown of his head as a man's face came and replaced the reptilian one. When he was finished, he was kneeling in front of her at the same height as before, still holding her hand in his teeth. He wore a breastplate of ancient leather, riddled with faded cracks and the proof of age. Swirling, magical designs were beveled into it. A dragon scale belt of the same color held a pair of black pants, tucked into knee-high boots of a wicked, demonic design. Black gloves, the same fabric as his pants, rose to his biceps, fingerless and plain, and his nails painted deep, blood red. The mage's hair was pulled up into a perfect high, half-tail, spiraling down his back in lush locks. At last, a tattered cloak was tossed over his shoulders, made of a very thin fabric such as silk that lifted at any sign of a breeze. Its lining was white while the outside remained in black uniform with the rest of his attire. His jaws parted and he stood, reaching a powerful enough height to look down on her. "I am the most dangerous animal in the world, Miss." He grinned a serpentine smile before tucking his arm to his chest and gracing her with a slight bow with the tug of his cloak. "My official title is still up for debate, but you may call me Andromalius." |

Nicolet watched with avid interest as the snake began to change shape, the transformation only lasted for a minute or two, but was still slow enough for her to watch as every detail unfolded before her. Till she was left with what appeared to be a vary obvious male, bitting her hand while kneeling before her. He remained this way for a few seconds longer. As she looked him over, he was vary appealing on the eye's. Even if his teeth, were embedded in her skin. His clothing and breastplate, were tailored to fit. She had known well enough that she had either been loosing her mind, or he was something beyond a talking snake. Now that her sanity was no longer in question, she had the chance to appreciate the finer points of the creature before her. True to her words, his hair was vary tempting. Nicolet thought even as she watched him remove his teeth from her hand to stand back and bow. As he introduced himself. She was still vary tempted to pet his hair. Though allowed her hand to drop to the side for the moment, as it dripped blood. He betrayed a certain amount of elegance and style, in his introduction. That contradicted his previous actions completely. While admitting almost egotistically, that he was still a dangerous animal. As he made mention of a title, that wasn't forth coming as he offered a name. Andromalius. Nicolet ignored the throbbing of her torn hand, even as she took a soldiers stance, to offer a bow of her own. “ I would say it's a pleasure, though seeing as I'm the only one bleeding, all I can offer is my name. Nicolet Moon.” She said even as she straightened and returned to a more relaxed position. “Though I am left wondering if you bite every woman that dares to pet you?” She questioned even as she pulled her sack free from her belt to take out a strip of cloth to bind her hand. |

"So far... yeah," he grinned. Though, generally those who can get close enough to touch him and not get gratuitous punishment were ladies he didn't mind being touched by. And by that point, biting was part of the routine. All he could say is that he was glad he had red sheets on his bed, else he'd have to get a new set every other day. "Hmm, you can't be a native if you're still so calm after seeing me," he scratched his chin idly before folding his arms across his chest. Otherwise, she would have had a bigger reaction. So who was she? "Tell me Nicolet, do you think I'm doing a bad thing? In conquering the world, I mean?" Her answer to this question would give him much more information than just her literal reply. Now that things have changed, he couldn't just meet people anymore. He had to thoroughly assess them, find their alignment, and from there, he had about fifty other protocols. Eventually, Andromalius took the hood of his cloak and lifted it up over his head, hiding the top half of his face in shadow while his mouth and all of its expressions remained visible. He pulled his hair over one shoulder to the point where it now fell freely down his right, front side. He would not soon forget that if he was caught here, he'd most likely be presented with an unfavorable outcome. Ridding himself of his scales, this hood was the next best thing. He wondered if it would ever really quell someone's curiosity, or just make them more suspicious. The roses around them were pretty, but common. Their colors could not compare to the irises he loved, so they were ignored like most common things. |

Andromalius was a self proclaimed dangerous animal, with the habit of biting women that tried to pet him. Nicolet thought even as she wrapped her hand. Listening as he continued to speak. She was calm, probably more so then most people would be in his presence, whether they were native or not. He wasn't exactly, the kind that prompted a warm fuzzy feeling. “Tell me Nicolet, do you think I'm doing a bad thing? In conquering the world, I mean?” He asked appearing completely serious. Which caused her to give the idea some serious consideration. Though she really couldn't find fault in it. “If your capable of doing it, why shouldn't you?” Nicole asked in response. After all wouldn't that truly be the deciding factor. “I don't really see how right and wrong figure into it. If it's something you want, and can do. Then by all means.” She continued. After all she always believed what was right and what was wrong, was merely a matter of who was looking. While she didn't give a snot about who conquered or ran the world. Nicolet couldn't resist thinking that if he did, that things would certainly become vary interesting. She watched as he pulled his hood up to cover his head. “While the same could be the said, about those who believe, it's wrong. If they can stop you, why shouldn't they?” Nicolet offered talking out the question. “Nope, right and wrong are not the issue. The issue is the ability.” She said more to herself then to him, as she turned her eye's to the hair that was peaking out of his hood. Reminding herself that she was risking being bit, again if she attempted to play with it. |
