| Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members. Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity. But how long will that peace last? Enter Elenlond; Turn the pages and tell your own tale. If you're already a member please log in to your account to access all of our features: |

00.00.01 Although my exact age is unknown, even to myself, I know that I am ancient. As unnatural things do, I have lived well past my self life. Days have grown short, comparable to mere moments, and thoughts seem to sway with the waxing and waning of the moon. I've discovered the way to keep my sanity in books. There will always be new information to gain, new literature by young writers. Even when I am gone, they will go on well after the last person who knows my name disappears. In their eternal pages, I am comforted. My favorites are the fables. In their ridiculous exaggerations always lies a spark of truth to be discovered. A warrior may not have single-handedly saved a nation and its princess from the clutches of an evil mastermind, but he could have changed the tides of battle to inevitably win victory for his cause. Just recently, I have woken from my centuries long hibernation, and to my surprise, I found a book with the familiar name of Logos inside. He was not a major character, but the resemblance was uncanny. I knew that man, before he made his mark on the pages of eternity. I wonder if he knew he would be immortally remembered. It is within my love of the archiving of significant people long ago which motivates me to write this journal. When I am gone, may a writer find this and weave a tale that breaks hearts, turns blood cold, and lights peoples' eyes with wonder. It may be that I am already dead that I cling with such tenacity to the thought of being remembered. |
