Coryn stood in the corner of the tavern, waiting. As usual, that particular section was empty when he got there. The owner of the tavern was so scared out of his wits by Coryn that he strongly discouraged guests from even approaching the corner that Coryn liked to stay at even when he wasn't there. As if the corner itself was cursed by the "Scaled Shadow" as he was known. Honestly, Coryn couldn't care less about his imposing reputation in this town. He came to this tavern to wait for someone to hire him for a job when he wasn't otherwise busy, and it didn't matter in the least what people thought of him. Of course, he was skilled in both stealth and combat, and he got more than enough jobs to keep himself going. He'd toss out money to beggars in the street when he had enough extra, so he was well-loved among those who were especially poor, though rather feared by most everyone else. Coryn watched his surroundings casually, not really caring about them, just merely observing. The tavern was rather busy tonight, and actually had more than five customers at one time, which was rare. Of course, if you would mention that to the owner, he'd viciously deny that his place was unpopular when it was obvious that people only really came when they were too cheap to pay barely anything at all extra even by the standards of the beggars who had barely any money whatsoever. After all, the drinks were foul, the food was disgusting as well, and the floor was stained in various places from people who had been unable to stomach it. Really, only the cheapest of the cheap came here more than once, most people who couldn't even afford to go someplace more expensive avoided the place for fear of being poisoned by the horrible cooking and drinks. Coryn actually nearly doubled the business of the place by coming her frequently. After all, his clients often ordered SOMETHING while they were here if they hadn't gotten a taste some other time. And once, one of them had become a regular customer, liking the prices of the place. Of course, his tongue, along with half his face including his nose, had been burnt nearly to ash by an angry mage once, so he couldn't taste, or smell, a thing. Which was a good thing around here. |

She walked determinedly towards the nearest tavern to the docks. How the hell had she ended up on that bloody ship in the first place? She wondered only a second before answering herself. Oh, right she'd been trying to see how far she could actually fly over water in her raven form. Stupid! Any way, as much of a living nightmare that ship had been, it was better then drowning. She thought adjusting her sack, and kicking the door of the tavern open with her foot. The smell of the place hit her full in the face with her first step. The dim lighting had her standing still, and waiting for her eye's to adjust so she could figure out her surroundings. The place was a dive! Not much better then the hull of that ship. It's dingy floors and occupants seemed less then welcoming. Not that she much cared. She thought looking around. A few scraggly patrons sat at the bar, while another sat in a darkened corner. The corner was a great deal darker then the rest of the dimly lit tavern. There was a table not far from the stranger sitting there, that had the right location, and sturdy enough looking chairs. After all thats what she really wanted. She thought, as she placed an order for pitcher of hot water. Though the bar keep seemed happy to take her order, he warned her away from the well shadowed corner and the stranger which occupied it. Nicolet really didn't care. She wanted a quite place against a back wall to sip her tea and relax her stomach. Not that this place was ideal for that, none the less she'd been through worse. She thought remembering the ships hold and the untold number of sea sick travelers there in. After a few extra coin, the captain had been more then happy to have her aboard. Though in her opinion it really hadn't been worth the money. Taking her pitcher of hot water and a tankard, she intended to wipe out before drinking from. She walked to a table in the corner, directly across from the stranger. Setting her pitcher down as she took a seat, she pulled her sack into her lap. Pulling out a small but clean rag, and a pouch of herbs. She dipped the rag in the hot water and wiped out the tankard. Before pouring a cup of hot water, and adding three pinches of herbs. Returning everything to her sack as she looked more closely at her surroundings with a sigh. Nicolet brought the tankard to her lips, sniffing deeply before taking a tentative sip. Realizing that even the water in this place was stale. Just her luck she thought, as she eyed her drink and set it down before her. |

Coryn saw as someone else came in, kicking the door open. Yet another customer? This might be a new record for the tavern. Coryn couldn't remember a single time that there had been this many people in here. Then again, he hadn't been there for it's original opening, before people had tasted the food. He watched as the woman placed her order, before coming over next to him once she received what she had asked for. Coryn blinked, and after a moment, he spoke, "Do you need something? Few people ignore that idiot's warnings unless they're interested in hiring me." Then, he chuckled dryly, "Of course, it isn't as if many people come here to begin with. After all, it's run by a fool who can probably cause perfectly good meat to become rotten as soon as he cooks it." It was rather obvious that Coryn felt a good deal of contempt toward the owner of this establishment. Who not only couldn't afford to hire help, but most likely wouldn't even if he could. Apparently he was outright delusional enough to think he could run a tavern effectively by himself. |

“Do you need something? Few people ignore that idiot's warnings unless they're interested in hiring me.” The stranger in the corner, said drawing her attention. Chuckling dryly, as he continued. “Of course, it isn't as if many people come here to begin with. After all, it's run by a fool who can probably cause perfectly good meat to become rotten as soon as he cooks it.” Nicolet had to agree with that assessment after tasting the stale water. “As for your question, I need time to sit, and drink my tea.” She said with a wince even as she eyed her drink. “Ignoring the proprietors warning. Well, I should think that if I'm able to keep to myself. Mind my own business and stay out of the way. One really shouldn't mind where I choose to sit.” Nicolet said explaining her reasoning for not bothering to heed the owners warning. She was just passing through. She'd gotten stuck here from that stupid ship to begin with. As soon as she had a chance to rest she was planning on finding a ship to book passage on to get back to the mainland. After all she hadn't intended to end up here in the first place she thought. |

"If it's tea you want, you won't find that here." Coryn said dryly, "Even if that looks like tea, I recognize that particular shade of brown as the water. Though I wouldn't be surprised if he told you it was tea." He chuckled slightly. "Well, if you need quiet, I won't bother you anymore." Coryn continued to merely lean back slightly in the corner, his tail twitching slightly in boredom as he waited for his next job. Perhaps it would be a good idea to go somewhere else. Let the place lose half of its business, which already could barely stay afloat, and let this stain remove itself from the city. After all, it wasn't as if the town needed any more. Slavery abounded here, the gap between the upper class and all the others. was utterly absurd. Coryn was currently thinking that perhaps he should go free another slave instead of waiting for a job. Perhaps take some money from the house they serve in. |

Natasha followed the dock to the nearest establishment. It was a rundown and dilapidated building, but the sign on the door marked it as a Tavern. A place for food, drink, rest, and possibly the chance to find what she'd come looking for. So far she had been lucky. Gaining passage on a clean and tidy ship. The Captain had been warm and friendly, in his own way. Now she just needed a body guard and a guide. To begin her adventure. She'd finally grown tired of earning her keep at the last Inn, run by a cheerful old bird. She wanted to taste more of life then the stale stories she'd practically grown up on. Though she wasn't stupid, she needed help. A fighter, and someone with the right knowledge to see a bad situation coming and get her away. On her own in the world outside with out friends or someone to rely on she was simply, an easy target. So she packed what she had and what she'd earned and came here. Natasha opened the door of the little tavern, immediately bringing her hand up to cover her nose as she stepped into the darkened interior. Giving her eye's a moment to adjust, she looked around briefly. There were few in the place really. Not like back home where the house would be packed especially in the evening when she would dance and sing. No, this place was vary different. Though what stood out the most where the two in the corner. So she turned towards the bar. There she found a strange little man, that didn't look like he could hold the place together if a patron got out of line. None the less he was the only one behind the bar. Natasha, took a deep breath through her mouth not wanting to smell the stench of the place. Before she asked if there was anyone she could hire as a guide among his patron's. The man nearly choked in laughter at her accent, as he put it. None the less he pointed her towards the two in the corner. She nodded trying to ignore the snickers and snide remarks of the others at the bar. As she took a step towards that corner. |

And yet another person came in. This certainly was a good day for the tavern. He was quite surprised at how many people were here today... Granted, it still didn't even equal a total of ten, but still impressive for a place that was about as clean as a freshly used chamberpot. And about as pleasant to eat from. Or get trapped inside. Coryn watched with interest as the girl went to the counter and had a conversation that involved the barkeeper pointing toward Coryn's corner. The girl then came over, without bothering to get a drink. For some reason, a few of the other customers appeared to be amused at something. "So," Coryn said as she approached, "Are you here to hire me? Or are you the second person in one day to come over here for some other reason? That certainly would be a record." Though his tone didn't betray much emotion, it might perhaps show just a bit to someone who was paying attention. A slight hint of boredom, as well as some hope that such boredom would end. Though hardly a desperate hope. |

As Natasha approached the two she looked them over. Though she wasn't exactly sure which one to speak to as the bar keep had been to busy laughing, to do anything but point. It was then, the one in the darkest area of the corner spoke. “Uhm, excuse me.. I really don't mean to intrude. The proprietor directed me here, because...Well, I do have a job if your interested.” She stated, looking towards the one who had spoken to her. Though she had noticed the woman who looked the other way as soon as they began speaking. Her eye's were drawn to the woman, as she picked up the tankard that sat before her and with a determined expression downed it's contents. What ever those might have been. In this place Natasha was certain it took a great deal for the woman to stomach it. Though she moved towards the one speaking to her. She stepped up to his table refusing to take a seat, as she wasn't sure what was on them. The smell of the place had her head spinning and all she wanted was to leave. Though without a proper guide and body guard, there was no point in continuing. “Sir... I need someone who knows the land and can find his way around. As well as someone to act as a body guard should I get into a situation that is beyond me.” She said flatly not wanting to elaborate more without knowing the him better. |

So, she did have a job after all? Good. She appeared to be slightly dizzy, likely from the fumes that went through the place, but she still managed to tell him what the job was. "So," he said back to her, "Basically, you want a bodyguard who knows his way around Angkar? Well, I think I can do that. We can talk more after we get out of this place. I'd rather not stay in here any longer now." Coryn began walking toward the door, and as he reached it, he suddenly heard glass shattering. Various other sounds continued until he turned around and looked back toward the bar. "Good luck." he said, as he looked directly toward the barkeep. He waited for the girl that was hiring him, and then he would walk out the door. And when he did that, various sounds of fighting would be heard from inside the bar... Apparently Coryn's presence had done something to prevent people from going crazy in that place. |

The man in the corner confirmed what she was looking for. She nodded a simple response even as she began to pull free several scarves to tie over her nose and mouth. Choosing to hold them in place as he mentioned leaving. As he walked past her she turned to follow him. As the glass shattered she stepped to the side to avoid the shards of it. Even as her companion said good luck to the bar keep, holding the door and waiting for her. She didn't need a second glance as she noticed the girl in the corner had a blade drawn and a smile, as she waited for them to leave. Merely offering a nod, as she watched them walk away. Natasha didn't want to know what was about to happen. It didn't matter to her. No, she needed to take care of herself first. Fairly certain this kind of thing happened frequently in taverns such as this as she followed him out the door. After all is wasn't Nights Rest Inn. Which had served as her home for more years then she could count. Though at times she still missed it. |

Coryn looked at the girl once they were both out of the tavern, "So, first things first... My name is Coryn. You may have heard of me as the Scaled Shadow, which seems to be a nickname people have given me. Anyway, I'd like to hear more about this job you're offering, as well as what you're willing to pay me for it." Before the girl could respond however, Coryn heard a cry from inside the bar. One he recognized instantly. He sighed, "Well, it would seem that people finally got sick enough of those abominations that he actually thought people would be able to stomach and decided to get rid of him. I'd recognize that whiny note anywhere, even when he's screaming in terror it's there..." A couple seconds later, the scream came again. And didn't stop. The man came running out of the bar, closely followed by several obviously angry customers. Coryn wasn't sure what had happened this time that anything that hadn't been an issue when he'd left the tavern before would occur. Or perhaps there was some cosmic force that had said Coryn wasn't going to be coming back and gave people the courage to actually try and get rid of the guy. Whatever the case, Coryn really didn't feel sorry for him in the least. The man was a fool, and obviously not quite right in his head... |

Once outside he turned and looked her over. Even as he introduced himself as Coryn or Scaled Shadow. Then proceeded to ask for the details. The fresh air had cleared her head as soon as they had stepped from the tavern, and the brighter light allowed her to look him over. He certainly looked imposing. She thought, as she listened to him. “The job is fairly simple. Guide and body guard. Payment is a third of my earnings, and travel expenses.” She said plainly. Not wanting to inform him that she could pay him in advance, as she wasn't sure she could trust him yet. “I'm a dancer, all I need is a stage, or any place people gather. From there I can earn a good deal of money. Though I want to travel, and meet new people. Also, because of my profession there are those that would seek to harm or enslave me. I can't make any money that way, which is why I need you.” Natasha explained as best she could hoping that he'd understand and at least, give the job a chance. If she was lucky he'd prove himself trust worthy, and she wouldn't have to repeat this situation again in the future. |

Coryn listened as she explained the job. So, the payment was equivalent to the travel expenses, and a third of her earnings? That wasn't a bad deal. Once she was finished, Coryn responded to her, "Very well. I'll take the job. So, what is the name of the one I'm guarding?" Coryn looked at her. She certainly LOOKED like she'd need a guard. Not only was she thin, she didn't look to be even five feet tall. She looked almost as if a child might be able to overpower her in all honesty. No wonder she wanted someone to guard her if she was going to be traveling. Though why she'd have been willing to go into the streets of Zedrin alone even for a short time while going to look for someone to protect her was somewhat of a mystery... It wasn't as if poor neighborhoods tended to be short of people who were as bankrupt morally as they were in their wallets. |

Nicolet came out of the tavern behind the fleeing barkeep and angry customers. Noting the two talking on the street. She only took a moment to draw her bow. Steadying the arrow before letting it fly. Watching only for a moment, as the arrow caught its mark. The barkeeps back. Right between the shoulders. "I hope the next owner has the brains, to keep his water clean and freash." She said softly before turning to go back inside. After all she had promised to mind her own business. Edited by Nicolet Moon, Nov 4 2009, 02:40 AM.

She watched calmly as the woman who had shared his corner stepped from the door. Pulling out a Bow and arrow. With a calm demeanor and a steady hand. Natasha watched as she let an arrow fly. Its direction was after the fleeing barkeep and his gang of customers, who stopped dead in their tracks, as they watch the arrow hit the man square in the back. Reminding her that she really did need more then just her personal skill. She thought as she heard the womans uttered words. While she was inclined to agree she wasn't sure it warranted, a death sentence. He took the job. She was thrilled even if she didn't show it. Instead, she moved into a half sitting curtsy, careful not to actually sit on the ground. “I'm Natasha Dameil. A dancer and songstress by trade.” She said even as she moved fluidly, back to a standing position. She clasped her hands before her even as she rocked back on her heels. “I look forward to our partnership. Shall we find a more suited place, to eat and rest? If we could find someone to get my things from the Nuar, I'd be great full. After all what's a dancer without her tools?” Natasha said, even as she stood, still before him. With the posture of one trained to hold themselves till the moment the beat moved them. |

Coryn watched, disinterested, as the barkeeper got an arrow through his back. And really... He didn't feel much. He despised such stupidity as that man had shown in the past, and there had been rumors that his cooking had caused fatalities in the past... He'd really gotten what he had deserved. After all, there was no cure for stupidity, and his had gone to the point of being some sort of madness in itself. The girl introduced herself as Natasha Dameil, a dancer and songstress. She then suggested finding a good place to rest and eat. "That would likely be a good idea," Coryn responded, "After all, even if this tavern was a remotely acceptable place, it wouldn't be an option anymore." He gestured in the direction of the man who had an arrow in his back... Who got up and ran away again somehow. He probably should have waited until the one who'd shot him in the first place had left... "Anyway," he said, "I know of a good place. Come on." Coryn began walking in the direction of a good inn he'd heard of. Possibly the best in Zedrin if you believed the account sof those who went there, and you didn't go into the wealthier sections of the city where there wasn't a chance in hell he'd be able to pay... Of course, it still probably wasn't as good as most in Ildri, but he figured that it wouldn't be a good idea to try and head on to another city just to find a place to rest. |

Natasha nodded as Coryn agreed. Even as she listened to his opinion on the sleazy little Tavern they had just come form. Pausing only to watch the scene that played out. Natasha shook her head sadly as she watched the woman walk back into the tavern. While the little man managed to get up and run some more. Only now he wasn't really running. The gang of angry patrons seeming to have spent their anger in shock, slowly disbursed. “Anyway, I know of a good place. Come on.” Coryn said as he began to walk away. He was an interesting character and one she hoped would prove worth her efforts. After all she really liked getting to know a person. Though often those she met were wanderers that never tended to stay long. Natasha thought as she fell into step with him. His long legs had her taking to steps to his every one, though she didn't mind in the least, turning the process into a hip swaying skip. That released the pent up energy and excitement she was containing. As she walked silently, in step with him. She couldn't resist the contented smile that graced her features. At the shear pleasure of moving with a rhythm, and purpose. They had a joint harmony and a beat that seemed to vibrate through her blood. Had she included spinning with the skip, sway step. She would have attracted every eye around. And a few would have likely fallen into step to follow them. Though she didn't need that kind of attention right now. So she allowed herself a simple and only slightly distracting step. Ignoring those that gawked with interest. |

Coryn walked through the streets, paying attention to those around him as he did so. He didn't need to see Natasha to know that she was following, the stares they got were more than enough to let Coryn know that she must be there. It was rather different than the looks Coryn might get when he was on his own... And indeed, his reputation was such that people often seemed slightly intimidated when they saw him... Or at least, he assumed that it was because of that. Eventually, they reached the inn Coryn was looking for. "Home's Heart" was its name, and supposedly, people who came here usually did manage to feel right at home, sometimes more than their own homes. Though Coryn somewhat doubted that. Really, he wasn't expecting anything that special, just better than others he'd seen. He figured that the ones in the wealthier part of the city would probably be much better than anything in this section of town... It did stand out however, even just looking at it. The building appeared to be made out of stone and wood, and looked rather solid, unlike most everything else in the area which appeared to be falling apart. Though that wouldn't speak of anything on the inside, and Coryn decided to head inside and look. It definitely... Wasn't what he'd expected, truly. Not only did it look as if it was kept clean, the way the place was built, it looked almost as if no matter how dirty it could possibly get, it would look better than that other tavern would have looked spotless. There was a fireplace in the center of the front room, across from the door, as well as a few tables, mostly around the sides of the room. In addition, there were two sets of stairs, one on the left, one on the right, that most likely led to the rooms where people stayed. Finally, near the door he'd just come in through was a counter, that had a young woman, perhaps in her mid-twenties, standing behind it. She appeared to be distracted with something, but after a few moments, she finally turned around and realized that she had customers. "Hey!" she said, overly enthusiastic in her greetings, "How are ya'?" ...Clearly she was one of those cheery types, getting a bit too excited in everything she did, because no one else reacted like this upon meeting a stranger. Nobody. "I'm Lucca! So, are you planning on staying here? Here at the Home's Heart Inn, you feel right at home in your heart!" That one sounded a bit forced, even for her. Coryn responded, "Erm... We were planning on it..." "Alright then!" said Lucca, "That'll be two coppers, one for each of you!" Wait... What. Coryn blinked. At that price, it would cost less to stay at the inn permanently than it would for someone to buy a house and maintain it. Or, hell, feed a family of three. How the hell did they keep this business running? It seemed like they'd rapidly lose money, no matter how many customers they got... Or more likely, they'd lose more money the more customers they had. This was outright surreal... |

She followed him diligently through the dingy streets and run down shacks. To a rather large and sturdy structure that reminded her more of home. The sign above the door read “Home's Heart”. A friendly and welcoming name, which seemed to fit the establishments appearance. She thought, even as she eased into a brisk but fluid walk. As she followed Coryn into the building. The main room was warm clean and bright. Though she noticed Coryn pause upon entering looking around. She almost thought his expression look something similar to surprise. Even as she followed his gaze to the front counter. Where the hostess, was. For a moment she looked distracted not noticing them. Until she turned around. Providing a warm and enthusiastic greeting. Their hostess introduced herself as Lucca. Natasha stood just behind and to the side of Coryn. Even as he responded to the hostess. Which sounded as if he wasn't exactly sure what to say. Not that Natasha really knew either. So she was thankful, that he at least made an effort. Watching as the two began to converse. Listening as the woman stated the price. Really, it was vary sensible. Natasha thought even as she gently reached out to gently touch Coryns arm. Hoping to gain his attention long enough to get what they needed. “We need a double room, with plenty of space for a week. Meals, and baths. Not to mention a currier to fetch my things form the ship Nuar. What's the price for all that?” She said in a soft whisper. Even as she looked over the woman behind the counter, and then the main room. It wasn't exactly what she wanted. Though she was certain she could make it work for a week at least. If not then, she would ask for a refund and find a better place. Natasha thought even as she waited for Coryn to work out the details with the woman. |

Natasha explained that they needed a double room for a week, including meals and baths, as well as asking for a courier to get her things from the ship Nuar. Lucca looked startled, "Oh, I'm sorry, I assumed that you'd only be here for a day! Silly me, I'm such a ditz sometimes..." Coryn didn't doubt that. Then, Lucca said, "Well, that'll be another six coppers then, sorry about the mistake." ...What. They were paying a grand total of eight coppers for an entire week here together? Including meals and baths? There was no way that they could be making any money here... Coryn blinked again, and handed the money to her, still wondering how this place could be real. However... Perhaps it was best not to question it. After all, a place like this in Zedrin was a blessing to anyone who had even a single copper on them. And if they had more, they could evidently get discounts by staying longer... It was a wonder that the place wasn't always packed full. Though, strangely, Coryn didn't really see anyone else here... However, then, Lucca said something else that surprised them, "As far as someone to get your stuff... I'll be glad to do it!" She then looked back to somewhere else behind the counter, apparently into another room, "Hey Luna, I'm gonna be goin' out for a moment, would you mind taking care of things?" Another girl, looking very similar to Lucca, enough that they could be twins, came up to the counter from another room that was behind it. "A-alright Lucca... But aren't you going to deal with these customers first?" Lucca looked annoyed, "I already dealt with them! What else would you expect?!" "Well..." Luna responded, "Usually when you leave, you barely even notice when customers are already here..." Lucca looked annoyed, "Ah whatever..." |

Natasha watched the interplay between the sisters. Even as she reached out to touch Coryns arm once more. “Umm... She didn't tell us where to find our room. Is there a key?” Natasha asked in a quiet whisper. Even as she watched Lucca, bounce out the door. The woman was good, if a bit scatter brained. She thought even as she remembered something else. “Uhm..yah, it might be nice to know when meal times are as well?” She added on, as she stepped back from Coryn. She would ask the rest later after they were more settled and comfortable. Really the two women seemed to be doing well for themselves. She envied their relationship. Though wasn't about to add anything more. She needed to get her bearings, and work up more courage. She thought even as she waited. Natasha thought even as she waited, she was pretty sure she could pack the house, if given a chance. The main room was workable even if it didn't have an actual stage. She thought with a soft smile. |

Coryn felt something lightly touch his scales, and he looked to see Natasha touching his arm. She said that Lucca hadn't told them where to find the room, and asked about a key. Before Coryn could comment, Luna interrupted, "Oh! I'm sorry, Lucca always forgets something... Here." She got a key from underneath the counter, and held it out to Coryn and Natasha. "Your room is the first one at the top of the left stairwell." Coryn took the key, seeming slightly confused himself... How had she heard what Natasha had said? She hadn't been loud enough that Luna should have heard... However, Coryn then noticed something. Luna's ears... They'd been hidden by her hair, but he saw them now... They didn't look human. Actually, they looked a little bit like a cat's, though not positioned in the place a cat's would be. So... Was Lucca not her sister? They looked so similar, Coryn would have thought for sure that they would be... After all, Lucca's somewhat wilder hairstyle left her ears in plain sight, and they'd looked perfectly normal... Though, thinking about it... Her eyes had looked a little bit catlike as well... Natasha then asked Luna about mealtimes. Luna responded, "Ah, mealtimes... Well... We don't really have a tight schedule. You can come down and ask for anything off of the menu," She pointed to several thin books that were laying on a table that had no chairs, "at any time of day, from about six in the morning to ten at night, provided that both Lucca and I are here." If they were both there, "Why do the two of you both need to be here exactly?" Luna responded calmly, "Well, while one of us is cooking, if the other isn't here, there won't be anyone if the customers need anything else. We run this place by ourselves after all." Coryn simply said, "I see..." when he heard that. He hadn't expected that... The two of them ran a place like this by themselves? Surely it would be utterly overwhelming when the place was busy... |

They now had the key and directions. Thanks to Luna. She even responded and answered the meal time question with ease. Explaining that both her and Lucca had to be present at the time. Which made perfect sense when Luna explained they were the only staff. It did seem like the ideal place to stay. Though with only Lucca and Luna as staff, it might not be the best place for a show. Natasha thought looking around the main room once more. That was well enough, she thought. After all she hadn't planned on dealing with that particular issue at the moment anyway. Natasha returned her attention to Coryn. “We should find our room. We can figure out the rest later.” She offered a slight smile as she spoke. She wasn't certain but from the way he was acting, this place and it's owners were a big surprise to him. Though for her, it was similar to what she knew and loved. “Thank you, Luna.” Natasha said softly, as she turned and headed towards the left stair well. As she walked she worked at the scarves that made up her belt. At the top of the stairs she moved towards the first door. Upon reaching it she turned to face Coryn holding out her hand and a silver coin. “I said, I would cover travel expenses. I believe room and board are part of those.” She said holding the coin out to him. |

Natasha said that they should go to their room, and that they could figure out the rest later, before she thanked Luna for her help. "You're welcome." said Luna calmly, as Natasha and Coryn headed toward their room. Once they were at the door, Natasha turned to Coryn and mentioned that she'd been going to cover the travel expenses, which included the room and board, then handed him a silver coin. "Ah, of course," said Coryn, as he took the silver and put it away. He then opened the door with the key he'd been given, and walked inside. He then simply walked over and leaned against the corner on the other side of the room. That was a habit he seemed to have gotten, and tended to be his favorite place to be when indoors. When outdoors, if he wasn't moving, he'd tend to lean back against a rock or tree... Coryn would simply stand there thinking until Natasha said something, or really there was anything that would require his words or actions, or if Natasha left the room and he'd follow to guard her. Right now, he was wondering if the job would actually remain this easy... If it did, it would really be quite boring... Not that it was precisely a bad thing. After all, that meant that there weren't any problems... Although, he had a strange feeling that it wouldn't be boring either way with that Lucca girl around.. |

She followed him into the room, taking the time to look around. The main space was occupied by a bed, and a wardrobe. Next to the window sat a table with several chairs and a candelabra. It was clean neat and tidy. To her left there was a door, she moved towards it curious as to what it lead to. Upon opening it she found a small room, with a bathing tub. It was well appointed and stocked. She thought as she looked it over. There were arrow slit windows high in the wall to allow in the air and sunlight. Though bellow these were also wall scones with fresh candles. Her interest sated there she moved to the other door at the other end of the room. Opening this she was happy to find another room. It was smaller then the main room, but contained a bed, and wardrobe. All it really lacked was a table and chairs. In all the room was perfect, she thought. Returning to the main room, taking only a moment to look for Coryn. Finding him standing and leaning into a corner. “I think this will work out well. Once my trunk arrives, we'll be set. The next thing on the list would be work. You wouldn't have any idea's about a good place for me to preform would you? A stage and band would be nice.” Natasha commented, as she moved towards the table so she could see out the window. It may have been the lower side of the town. Though she didn't doubt that it held a great deal of opportunity. She had considered asking the Luna, only she wasn't sure if this place could handle the crowd she would draw. An open setting would be more fitting though harder for Coryn to manage. After all in an open setting there was so much space and potential for things to go wrong. Not that she couldn't keep a crowd focused. It was simply, sometimes there were those that tended to get to enthralled. Which was exactly the reason she needed a body guard. |
