It was pouring now. Tekun sat there beneath a tree in the swamp for cover. It was one of the few drier places in this death trap. It had been several days in this swamp, as expected, no one followed. This swamp did afterall have a notorious reputation. Tekun looked at the tall stick he had planted a short distance away and lit on fire. Helped with the visibility and kept the bugs away. "Reanaie?" Tekun asked looking around. She was probably someplace dry, maybe hiding somewhere in his trenchcoat. "You holding up ok?" He worried about his little fairy friend. He hadn't had a traveling companion like this before, she was small, fragile, but handy to have around for help and conversation. He wondered if cutting through this swamp was a good idea at all. |

The rain beat down heavily, making a patter against the parasol Sophia always carried. She knew roughly were she was headed, and she knew roughly why. The details did manage to elude the Mistress of Blades, but she knew she had to. It was not that she were following Tekun, but she did keep tabs on him, she was the one who would kill him, and nobody else. She was not ready yet, but she would not let someone else sneak in and take his life, when it belonged to her. She noticed a small flame ahead, and guessed she had found him. Word had reached her ear that he had been quite badly hurt, against who or why none seemed to know, and that had piqued her curiousity. It also worried her, she wanted to take him on at his best, then smash him into the dirt, prove herself his superior and dissprove his supposed immortality at the same time. If he was vulnerable, then someone else migt sneak in and take him, she had removed a few of the bounties of him (careful drops of poison creating an inglorious death for those who wished to offer them), but they still popped up from time to time. She could not trust him to live. Hence why she was seeking him out now. She did not make much effort to be stealthy approaching the camp, although her natural gait did nothing to make her easily noticable either, that and her current robes being black, with a thorn pattern in silver, meant she did not stand out at all, although her parasol may of given her away. She saw him as she closed, and walked straight at him, before stopping a short distance away, resting on hand on her hip "It seems we meet again" she informed him, very matter of factly, giving nothing away except the fact she was there, and her identity, as she did not raise her parasol to allow him to see her face. |

It seemed Raenie had found some rest, at last, in one of the smaller pockets along Tekun’s trenchcoat but the call of her name startled her and pulled her, thankfully, from a nightmare she had been having repeatedly as of late. Once her eyes opened, her glittering aura seemed to shine a little brighter like a fading flame suddenly bursting to life. His once dim pocket was now glowing vibrantly from the luminosity of her eyes and aura. She stretched with a pipsqueak yawn and rubbed her eyes before unfolding the flap of his pocket and fluttering slowly from its confines. It was then that she found herself face to face with her hero once more; the man who had rescued her from the florist who faenapped her from the forest she called home. Apparently the two had now reached a swamp and luckily for her, she was able to flutter her wings fast enough to shake any droplets of rain that might weigh her down and prevent her from flying. Deciding it best to rest on his shoulder, she did just that and looked up at him with a smile. “I must have dozed off.” she giggled. “Thanks for asking.” She was delighted to be traveling with Tekun as his faerie companion, to aid him in whatever quests came along his way. But her nightmares plagued her, and she wondered if she’d ever return to her home. It took all of her might to curtain her frowns with a smile. She didn’t want Tekun to think she was unhappy traveling with him, because she wasn’t, she just missed home a little. And besides, she didn’t want to seem ungrateful. After all, he had saved her life. Her worry-laced pondering came to a halt when a woman hiding beneath a parasol approached the two, announcing that this hadn’t been her first meeting with Tekun. Raenie, uncertain as to her motives, stood and perched herself on his shoulder, ready for whatever was to come. It was time she fulfilled her promises to Tekun in helping him should this occasion call for it. “You know her?” she whispered, her wings raising full-span. |

"Mistress of blades." Tekun said. "Thought I heard someone following. Only someone with such a vow would follow me to this dreaded place." Tekun jested. "Well....I'm going to take a guess. You heard about my scuffle with the mechanical psychopath then? Yes, I did get beat up. Arm's a tad injured due to that encounter." He continued to sit, he did not acknoledge Raenie just yet. He figured talking to Sophia would answer any question she had. "We both know your not going to fight. Take a seat over here instead of standing in the rain. I don't think it'll be getting any better." He looked over to Raenie, she seemed a tad bit worried, maybe something was bother. He would worry about it later. "I know many people little one. Don't worry too much about Sophia though." Tekun said and grinned slightly and then looked back at the swordmistress. |

"You really are very arrogant, aren't you?" Sophia asked, her voice like ice "Seeking to know what I will do" she reached for her blade on her back, and drew it by the slightest amount. She noticed the glow eminating from Tekun's shoulder, and was curious as to its source, raising her parasol a little, she could see it was in fact one of the fae. Interesting. "Have you not considered the fact that I am here because I may have become better?" she paused, whilst it was true she was improving, she was not good enough to beat him... Yet. The calmness in her voice remained though, giving away nothing "Maybe I believe I can fulfill my vow now, whilst you are injured?". She rested her blade back, her hand returning to her hip "Or maybe you are right. I would prefer it if you treated me with the respect I have shown you in the past though. I do assume to know you, so do not assume to understand me" she moved her parasol a little, so it would block the rain better. Truly, this man was something... Else. So sure of himself, so convinced of... Well, so convinced of many things. It annoyed her greatly, and she regretted coming here, forcing her to spend time near him. No doubt he would be making many assumptions now about why she was here, assuming no doubt she had crossed countries to find him. The world revolved around him, as far as he was concerned... When in actual fact, he was, like everyone, a small, worthless, insignificant, ignorant insect. Not wishing to accept any chairty, Sophia merely walked to a different tree from Tekun, although close by, and remained standing, her parasol sheilding her from the worst of it. "Fae" she stated blunty, in a way that sounded a little sharp "What may I refer to you as? What is your story?" |

"I assume to understand you because you want to prove you are stronger then I by killing me. Killing me while I am at a disadvantage due to injury is but an empty victory." Tekun spoke. "Now, I may come off as arrogant, I also understand the code of the warrior. Sophia then began to address Raenie, sharply and bluntly. "She has a name." Tekun said immitating Sophia's tone. "Don't be so blunt and uptight." He rolled his eyes and sighed. He was tired and couldn't understand why Sophia had to be so proud and not accept his offer. It was ironic really. She keapt talking about how he was arrogant when Tekun was only really experienced. Acted so confident. He had to admit though, it was quite an act. |

Just before the faerie could respond, her companion spoke up before her as if he were defending her from the harsh tone she was addressed with. “It’s quite alright, Tekun.” she reassured him, placing a gentle hand on his neck to soothe his hostility. She could feel the pitter-patter of his pulse against her palm, now much warmer than the icy chill it was before. Her healing magic had helped him a little, though just enough to prevent any more blood loss and to ease the pain at best. Another spell now might help him better now but she would tend more to that later, for this woman was the current matter at hand. Fluttering from her perch on Tekun’s shoulder, she found herself high enough in the air to allow her voice to project far enough for the Mistress of Blades to hear. Better to speak loudly than to get too near, as Raenie didn’t know Sophia quite as well as Tekun. To her, Sophia could be capable of anything at anytime and after dieing once, Raenie found herself to be more cautious nowadays. “Raenie.” she called out. “You may call me Raenie.” Her voice held no negativity but remained direct. “I am indeed one of the fae, stolen from the forest I once served. Tekun saved my life, and for that I dedicated my services to him.” Her explanation was sincere, her hands now over her heart to portray the meaningfulness of her speech. “For what reason do you wish to harm him?” she questioned, even though she probably shouldn’t. Still, she couldn’t help but wonder. Competition amongst humans was something she never understood. The faewild was much different. In fact, the only competition she could even recall was the choosing of the Faerie Queen; a desired position she would now never fill unless she returned to her home. Some dreams just cannot be… she reminded herself gloomily, remembering what it was like to celebrate the coming of the new queen. Deciding not to get lost in memories, her distant gaze returned to her previous expression of concern as she waited for Sophia’s response. She glanced over at Tekun, hoping he wasn’t peeved with her for speaking out with such questions that weren’t of her own business. |

Both of them seemed to react almost at once. Carefully she watched both. She doubted that Tekun was the type of man to use his new ally for an advantage... Actually, no. He had been quick to make use of her abilities when they fought together, using the tailwind she called for maximum effect, it was quite likely he was using Raenie (as the fae had identified herself) in a similar way, maybe not on purpose, maybe a cold and calculated plan. "I shall answer you both together" she answered slowly, her feet shifting a little "My vow is that one day, I shall kill him. Only I am allowed to do that. Which is why I am so" she glared at Tekun "Blunt and uptight" she repeated his words "Although he is not my enemy. For as you owe him your life, he owes me his. However, I am just waiting until I collect what I am owed". The fae seemed... Innocent. She seemed to care for Tekun, evidenced by the way she held her hands over her chest as she spoke... Was it? Maybe. It seemed the so called Immortal Soldier was human after all, and somehow this girl Raenie had seen past his ego, which was impressive. Raenie seemed... More human than Tekun, so she adressed her next question towards the fae more, although she guessed Tekun may be the one who knew "What is it that brings you to this forsaken place then?" |

Tekun moved his arm up to reveal the worn bandages and the removed them to reveal a mauled up, scorched and nigh combat useless arm. Wounds left over from the battle with Alvar and his "children." The thought that he had let that sick mind get away made him feel ill, nautious, almost hateful. "Part of the reason. Set on fire, mauled, beaten. Leg's near broken. It's nothing short of a miracle i'm still standing. So. We're taking a detour through this swamp. Few venture here, with good reason too." Tekun brought his arm down, whinced and began to rewrap the wounded arm. "Way back when, part of a military force i fought for, used to, march.....through this swamp....suicidal really....lot's of people got killed before they even got into battle. Through this, I've learned what to avoid and how to avoid over the years." Edited by Tekun, Oct 3 2009, 05:23 PM.

Scarlet was not pleased as she flew high above the various trees which spotted the swamp below. Why was it that she always managed to land herself in the locations where the weather was dreary. Her hat which shielded her face from the wind and the rain was darker than usual, having absorbed a lot of the rainwater from her journeys, she would have to dry it in some sort of tropical wind, or perhaps Aggy, her toad familiar, and mentor, would teach her how to conjure winds...if he could do that. Her familiar had a mysterious way about him, the only thing she was certain was that he was a master illusionist with great powers bringing even the strongest to their knees. It brought her pleasure. She stuck one of her fingers in her mouth and lifted it into the air. Yes, she was near what she had come to look for. One of the only victims she had ever met besides Aggy who had not been frightened when turned into a toad. In a strange sort of way he had become a friend, or at least what she thought a friend was. Were witches even allowed to have friends? She shrugged, for she didn't care whether she was or wasn't allowed, she would do things her way. Unless instructed differently by her familiar, one of the few people in all of Elenlond she managed to trust. There! This was where she was supposed to be, she turned the angle of her broom into a steep decent, holding her left arm up as she crashed through branches and various other things within the tree canopy. Finally she broke through and remained in a hover as she stared at Tekun, below. She noticed that a small aura of light was resting on his shoulder, a pixie of some sort? A faerie? She didn't care really, she had made her dramatic entrance and that was all that mattered. Debris fell to the ground as Scarlet floated on her broom. "Oh ho ho ho ho!" she laughed "If it isn't my old friend Tekun. What a pleasure it is to see you're still alive....even though you look like you've barely escaped death's clutches. Oh ho ho ho!" |

"Your here too?" Tekun questioned raising an eyebrow. "Funny. People usually venture through a swamp to avoid people, this is a little too.....coincidental? Have you been following me too Scarlet?" Tekun didn't bother to scratch his head to show how puzzled he was. First Sophia followed him, a woman insisting on proving her superiority by slaying Tekun in one on one combat through the sword. Then the red witch who had gotten the drop on Tekun previously returns. "Well since your here. Take a seat, get out of the rain and wait till the weather clears up. It'll be a while. No toad stunts this time." Tekun warned. He was getting rather uncomfortable now. He sensed conflict on the horizon, the kind that didn't involve physcial fighting. He gave a sigh. "What brings you here?" |

Tekun was busy trying to impress her again, this time with details of how he amazingly lived, and of how he learnt all about the swamp many, many years ago. He just would not stop, would he? He would not realise she did not care. She was about to reply when right between her and Tekun landed another woman on a broom. She laughed and seemed to know Tekun. Immediatly Sophia drew her sword, and was ready to unleash a gust of wind which would, hopefully, blow the still airborn woman far away. This was not good. Was it a trap? Cursed wretched cheating lieing man! She was now outnumbered three to one, the fae and the witch tipping the odds... Sophia gritted her teeth, and mentally went over what types of poisons she had ready to use in dart form, and which to coat her blade. Tekun made it seem coincedental that this newcomer was here, but it was odd, this was out of the way. She was only here because she was following him, making sure her investment was safe. She pointed her sword at the newcomer, and made a quick couple of steps forwards, still holding her parasol above her with her other hand "I think you all need to let me know what is happening here" she told them, her voice icy cold and sharp, her sword moved around a little, so that she was holding in such a way she was ready to attack at any moment. The wind started to pick up ever so slightly also, as she prepared to summon a tailwind. |

"If i'm arrogant, you're paranoid." Tekun remarked angrily glaring at Sophia almost standing up, leaning against the tree. "You strike her, it won't matter if you want to prove how superior you are to me, one of us will die, I assure you." Tekun leaned against the tree. He wasn't about to let a senseless fight break out because Sophia was paranoid and thought this was all staged. "She's a witch I encountered not too long ago. Complicated story. I'll tell you all about it as soon as you put that weapon away, and not isolate yourself. It's generally not the best idea, especially in this swamp." He knew all too well about the creatures who lurked in this area. They were still around, and they were still very real and still very deadly. |

"Sometimes paranoia can save your life" Sophia replied sharply, although she did step back, spinning and sheathing her sword. She did pat her blowpipe through her robes though, checking it was still there, a reasurring presence, which would be quite deadly at this range, she could not rely on hidden wooden sword with Tekun though, for he had seen it. She kept a close hold on her parasol as she glanced between the other three. "I know the dangers of this swamp well enough" she chided him "But I have sheated my sword, so I recommend that you let me know why I am merely paranoid, or else I will repeat your threat". How he dared to threaten her when he himself was admittedly weakened she did not know. The man was arrogant beyond words, blindly believing he and he alone knew all about the swamp. If Sophia did not feel completely safe, he would not of followed him in, she did not become as skilled as she was by rushing into danger heedlessly. |

"Well aware it can. It has mine, but it takes a terrible toll on the mind eventually." Tekun chided. "If she was dangerous to either of us. I would have warned you by now, hell, I havn't even lifted an arm to draw my blade yet. Also, I met her once before, ended up saving her life, after she turned me into a toad though. I'll get to that a bit later though." Tekun rolled his eyes embaressed about that whole incident. "As for the dangers, you know well enough that there are some nocturnal insects in this swamp that are poisonous then. Some that don't like light and fire very much." Tekun sighed. "Tell me if I'm still coming off as arrogant because I know your thinking it." There were a few clues that gave it away. She already thoughe he was arrogant for one, and Sophia was stubborn. It was a guess, nothing more, nothing less. Tekun wasn't a mind reader. Edited by Tekun, Oct 5 2009, 01:04 PM.

"Your not coming across as arrogant. You are arrogant." Sophia gritted her teeth. "Again you come out with the boasts about how you save people, how your immortal, and such a great swordsman with such a legendary weapon. Your ego is larger than my uncles. Davidoff deserved to die". She clenched her fist ever so slightly, a minor gap in her emotionally dead personna. "I am aware of the dangers, Immortal Soldier" she added "Perhaps you would lecture some doe eyed stranger who cares" |

Tekun turned pale white at the sound of the name Davidoff, her last name, her uncle. Proof enough of who she was. He closed his eyes for a moment. And tried to think of how i was possible. She was dead, he was sure of it. Yet, hear she was, alive, no signs of being raised. He muttered incoherently to himself trying to figure it out. It shook him a little, and yet....there was something else. He wasn't sure what it was. "You'rw around twenty seven years old. You have a brother named Mjor.......You're..........you're Hyun's daughter." Tekun muttered not knowing what else to say. "I......" He was near speachless simply out of disbelief. He could not even have imagined she surivived what has occured so long ago. "I'm........sorry." Edited by Tekun, Oct 5 2009, 03:41 PM.

As Tekun spoke, a soft wind began to blow, as Sophia began to loose the tight grip she kept on her emotions, and her magic began to act irrationally. Her eyes grow wider with each word, nay, each syllable. Impossible. It took a mere second for her to dash across the gap between them, and place her now drawn sword to his neck. She grabbed onto his clothing and pulled him close to her. "Start talking. Now" she hissed "I want to know how and why you know. And make it the truth" her teeth gritted and she inched closer and closer to him, her carefully crafted emotional walls down, but letting out only one emotion, pure and unrestrained anger, twenty years worth of bottled up anger. |

Scarlet felt rather dizzy at the moment, she turned her head from side to side with each rebuttal, as the two fought below her. She wondered if the fairy was in the same state she was, it was like watching a game of catch, back and forth, back and forth, over and over again. They argued like a married couple, a very bitter married couple, they both grated against each other like different sized cogs in the same clock. She didn't deny that it wasn't entertaining, she would have chuckled, but the girl seemed to have a few screws lose. Hah, attempt to kill her? She should jinx the woman for even daring to have the thought, yes, jinx her for five years or so, she'll trip over every root in Elenlond by the time the spell wore off. She began to feel the sensation of wind blowing with an unusual scent of magic in the air. Scarlet mentally told her broom to lower to an elevation closer to the ground, she did not intend to be knocked off her broom by a mere gale. She would die from embarrassment, a witch, knocked off her broom. Quite taboo indeed. In what appeared to be a blink of an eye the mad woman had her sword drawn, she was clearly disturbed by something that Tekun had said. Such a fool, first you talked nicely if you wanted someone to give you information, after that turn them into a toad if they don't talk, then after that threaten them with death. Scarlet wasn't exactly sure of what to do, and what about that fairy? Those creatures with bug wings. Though the wings were very good for magical concoctions, or so she was told. "Foolish girl, with the bulging veins, cast down your weapon or you'll be in pain" she snapped her finger and a shower of sparkles fell around herself. She felt quite clever for thinking up such a rhyme, she should write it down afterwards. Lightning ran along the tips of her fingers, she would be ready to strike within less then half of a second. |

It was all just a little too much. Each comment either Tekun or Sophia exchanged was filled with a bitterness Raenie swore she could taste. Sophia was so caught up in Tekun’s arrogance that she couldn’t control her tongue and just accept the peace offering he extended. And he, not realizing with explanation that he continued to boast about himself, just made matters worse by infuriating the woman more. At this rate there would be no end. And what of this witch that just randomly appeared? The winds of fate had now blown four, very different people into a dangerous setting. Raenie felt that she might be the only one of the group concerned about getting out of this swamp by now before the ghouls of the night decided to attack them. Her hands soon found the locks of her hair and her teeth were gnashing from all of this frustration of listening to them both without any progress having ever been made. Fae weren’t patient creatures, and this little faerie had waited long enough for this conversation to end. But before she could shout out, a heavy tension weighted their surroundings and Sophia’s blade was then pressed against her hero’s neck. Gasping with her wings fluttering wildly, she darted towards the two, scanning her brain for the right magic. She just needed something to startle her, nothing harmful. The faerie buzzed around Sophia’s face like a pestering insect, even pulling at her nostrils to get the furious woman to back down. “Tekun isn’t in any shape to fight!” she tried to explain, hoping to remind Sophia that regardless of how “immortal” the Immortal Soldier was, he was still very wounded and in no condition for conflict. Raenie was putting herself at risk here. At any given time, Sophia could easily swat at her and knock her to the ground, but it was the sacrifice she was willing to make to protect Tekun from harm, just as he had done for her. Just as the witch poeticized her spell and sparkles began to rain around her, Raenie focused her energies on Tekun as she darted to and fro across Sophia’s face. Soon, an ember sparked on Tekun’s shoulder and quickly spread like wildfire across his entire silhouette. Raenie had successfully set Tekun ablaze with faerie fire. It was just a brief moment before his entire silhouette was concealed in cackling pink flames, none of which gave off heat or actually burned. Still, she was hoping Sophia would be caught off guard and would back away from her companion out of fear of the fire. And although she didn’t wish for any harm to any of the parties present, a small part of her hoped that the witch wasn’t bluffing should her plan fail. Now having done all she could do, the faerie clenched her eyes shut, waiting to be swatted. But perhaps she wouldn’t be? Still, she expected it, for it was natural human reaction. |

Tekun extended his arm and hand carefully to grab Raenie. He grasped her, gently and brought her close to him. Despite the fact he was covered in a pink flame, it was still an illussion, nothing more. "Not your battle little one." Tekun said and released. "Stay in the background, I won't have you getting injured." He ignored Scarlet's threat, she wouldn't do anything and Raenie was far too small to do anything physicaly harming, or so he thought. Then he stared at Sophia, she still held him "hostage" her sword aimed at his throat. She wouldn't do anything, he was her only source of information, she would not kill him. "You'll get your answers." Tekun said looking Sophia in the eyes. "You'll lower your weapon though." His mood was changed, no longer showed any "arrogance" or "cockiness". all was serious now. The weapon did not phase him, but, the last thing he needed was her rashness to cause the two other people here to attack her. "Tell me where you want me to start." Tekun asked. |

Tekun managed to capture the frantically darting faerie during her attempt to protect him. Opening her eyes slowly and blinking a couple times in amazement, her glowing emeralds scanned quickly to find that she hadn’t been swatted to the swampy grounds beneath her like she expected. Instead, she was safe and sound in Tekun’s hand. Although she couldn’t move or flutter her wings, he was holding her just as delicately as a mother would hold her own child and spoke to her in such a manner that she understood he wasn’t refusing her help, he just needed her to remain safe. Upon his release, she stretched her wings and fluttered them slowly to keep herself afloat. “But Tekun…” she argued, but cut herself off with that and nodded instead. He was right; this wasn’t her battle to fight. And though she was capable of protecting him, she knew now that he didn’t need it. Sophia wouldn’t harm him if she wanted the information, and the look of determination in her eyes made that very clear. If Tekun were dead, none would ever know it. The faerie landed back on his shoulder, her antennas bopping playfully as she sat while the faux flames faded from existence, no burns or smoke to follow. Here, she remained calm, attentively listening to whatever Tekun was about to explain to Sophia. Still, the witch and her lightening concerned her… |

A million things seemed to happen almost at once, as the entire group seemed to resist her actions. All of them except one: Tekun. What kind of game was he playing? As she heard the witch prepare magic behind her, and the fae buzzed around her, like an angry gnat, using what magic and strength she had to try and suprise and bother the swordmistress, she realised the situation was against her, there was no victory for her here. Just before she moved to swat the fae aside, planning after to turn and charge at the witch, she was grapsed from the air. Tekun seemed to want to avoid combat, why? He had the advantage, clearly, as he had the witch seemingly on his side, and the fae also seemed to have some kind of deep loyalty to him which Sophia could not explain. Then again, she never had been one for loyalty, so perhaps that was unsuprising. Whatever the reasons, he had the perefect oppurtunity to remove someone who, by her own admission, planned to kill him someday. Slowly, ever so slowly, with caution very evidently present, Sophia's blade withdrew from the Immortal Soldiers neck, although she did not sheath it, she may have wanted answers, she may be willing to believe that she could not attack Tekun if she wanted the answers she thought had been forever lost, but she would not put her weapon away whilst there was the very real threat of attack from the witch, and indeed from Tekun himself if his mind settled upon the same reasoning as hers had. However, she was prepared to drop her stance a little, to appeal more open, less hostile. Even so, Sophia could sense she was still a part of the large amount of hostility in the clearing. She cursed herself... She had made a foolish, rash, emotional action. She did not make emotional actions, but Tekun's mention of her family... Her brother... It had cut through to her core, part of her which she usually repressed heavily in order to avoid having to deal with the emotions dealing with her families death, her time spent standing in the blood and carnage of their death place, in order to repress the fear, the... The whoel cocktail of emotions that had threatened to tear her apart. Ever since that day, she had never followed an emotional whim, she had avoided dealing with her emotions at all in order to not have to deal with what happened, she had to choose between keeping her sanity, or remaining a fully complete person. She choose the former, sacrificing the part of her the felt. But for the first time, that had been broken, her blocks and sheilds had been broken, and twenty one years worth of anger and rage had been released at once, leading to this unenviable situation. "Start at the beggining. Tell me everything" she said, cold again now, more emotionally dead now than she had been, as she struggled to contain again the emotions which even now threatend to turn her into a sobbing heap on the floor. |

Sophia, though confused at everything hat had occured, agreeded to what Tekun had requested and lowered her guard, though slightly. Tekun nodded and began. "Thirty three years ago, back in a province in Morrim. A lord had personally hired me to fight along side his men in an attempt to end a feud going on between several other lords in the area. Money was money, times were hard, I took part in trying to end the petty conflict between squabbling lords. He specifically assigned me to fight under a glaive wielding general. Hyun Orjtarn, your father. A campaign was launched, within the year, we ended the feud. The rivaling lords surrendered after too many casualties and battles lost. Your father was honorable and loyal to a fault. A true warrior, nearly unmatched on the battlefield. We became good friends, we kept in touch. Occassionally, I would show up, visit." Tekun stopped to take a breath, he was reminising a bit. It was important to know, it was the start of what he knew anyway. "Six years later, you were born. Your mother and father were happy, Things were going alright, but politics are politics. Your uncle, he fought along side us in the war, any campaigns, back then, he wasn't hald bad. Gag if you want, but you were fond of him. However, he had a different opinion about how the local government was being run by the lord. As time went on, he began to form a revolutionary group to take down this lord. Five years later, Mjor was born. Not even a year later, somehow, word has reached the lord's ear about this group. He believed that Hyun was responsible for it. Davidoff never spoke up. He was a coward, a miserable coward for it. An attack was launched on Hyun. I got word too late. I arrived to find he, his wife, and anyone who stood up to protect them, dead." Tekun looked at the ground. He looked absolutely disgusted about what had happened next. "Also, I found Davidoff there. A broken shell of a man. Too caught up in his grief to look for anyone else amongst the rubble. By some miracle. Mjor had survived. I also.....looked for you. Frantically. I found nothing." He swallowed air. He didn't want to say what happened next. She would hate him, he hardly forgave himself for it. He paused for a moment. |

Scarlet lowered her hand, still laced with red lightning that ran up and down its length, sparking slightly as they reached the tip of her nails. The lunatic had taken her weapon from Tekun's throat, however she did not put it away, which was why she never let the lightning cease. You could never be too careful when around crazy folk like her. She faintly overheard the riveting tale, though she didn't care too much. It seems like this girl's family was a big mess, Scarlet shrugged, the girl should be thankful. At least she had a family, Scarlet had no one, this girl knew her parents at birth, Scarlet knew nothing. Maybe they were sorcerers or powerful sages. She didn't know, she didn't care, they abandoned her and now she would become an all powerful witch...soon enough she would. She waited for the girl's reaction after Tekun's recount, the broom floating up and down slightly as she sat on it. |
