| Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members. Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity. But how long will that peace last? Ok, so! He's got two kingdoms under his control currently, which allows him to use any of their resources. I'd be here all day, every day, both day and night if I wanted to list all of that, so I'm only going to be writing up the objects of interest. Eye of Zanna: An orb the size of a softball, its texture like glass the color of onyx when inactive. When active, a halo of white wisps will rotate around the core. It drains the light from any room it is in, but never to a pitch on its own. In order to active it, one must sacrifice the soul of a lover of life. When active, it will emit an ethereal pulse that ultimately decays all simple life (plants, forest critters, etc) within a span of time based on the location's distance from the Eye. As a magical item, the effects may also be controlled by the wielder by placing boundaries that are off-limits to its magic. In order to stop it, the wielder must will it into inactivity again or the item must be destroyed. Once it is dead, life will return in half the time it was taken. Time relative to location (with the center being the Black Tower): 1 week - Do'Suul Mountain Range 3 weeks - Eastern Morrim 6 weeks - All of Morrim NOTE: Andromalius has always wanted to play with this, but has been unable to do so until now because it is such a high-profile move. The War Journal: All plans for the conquest are laid out, in detail, inside these leather bindings, as well as updates and logs about what has actually happened up until now. The book itself looks ages older than the plans it carries, along with an assortment of folded maps, some dating back centuries in the information they hold. Everything within is written in an old language for security purposes, but it could be simple for a scholar to decode, or even an old soul who possibly remembers back when this language was used. Andromalius keeps the book in four places: either on him, or hidden well within either the palace in Kinaldi, the encampment in Ashoka, or inside the Black Tower. The Dread Lance: (Referance) An enchanted lance handed down from master to apprentice in the dark studies. Andromalius's old master had it last, and thusly was stolen once the Banshee had killed the man. From the tip of its blade to the bottom, the lance itself measures seventy-two inches in length with a circumference of eight inches. It has two forms: the battle-ready collapsed form and its lesser, travel-sized form which is only eighteen inches in length. The weapon may also be used as a spell channeler, but Andromalius much prefers the use of his own hands. The New Order Military Infantry - Foot soldiers, melee users with weapons of their personal choosing. Most are criminals and/or psychologically unstable. Affectionately nicknamed 'The Bloodletters'. They make up the majority. They wear primarily black uniforms with silver trim. Archers - Long-range infantry. They are weak in melee, but great for large scale battles. They are marked by the same uniforms as the infantry. Royal Guard - They number fewer, but are much stronger than infantry. Each of the royal guard are seasoned fighters with years of experience and training under their belt. Their uniforms offer more defense, primarily steel chain mail or plated armor, and most carry greatswords or katanas. Their tabards are black with silver lining and the crest of a serpent in white on their chest. Roc Riders - Morrim's areal fleet, the Rocs will carry riders that are either skilled in archery or long-range sorcery. The riders are marked by leather uniforms and woolen cloaks with the imperial emblem of the serpent on the back in white. Their saddles are black and silver. Dragon Riders - The dragons that survived the battle for Ashoka have been captured and domesticated for the use of the Roc Riders. They are more powerful than the Rocs, but remain ornery and difficult to control, and there are far less. They are marked similarly to the Roc Riders. Keepers - After making a pact with a scholar's guild in Soto, the Emperor has acquired a special division of men and woman who will not participate in large-scale battles, but instead act more as librarians and archivists who keep information on everything. If a person were a wikipedia... Their skill in fighting varies, depending on the individual and their specialties. Their typical uniforms are black robes, hooded with the hood worn up, and their own guild symbol on the back in white, a serpent tangled around it. Mages - Possibly the most useful unit, Mages may take on a PC and will likely give them a good fight, possibly even win, as each of their spells may typically handle multiple NPC opponents at one time. Most specialize in long-range, but are not limited. They are marked by black or silver robes. Catapults - Long-range artillery. Rocks lunged are usually on fire. Catapults will be protected by archers, so if one were to break through the mass of foot soldiers and royal guard, they would be fairly easy to destroy. Warships - Morrim's naval unit. Hard to destroy, but warships are slow to attack. Compared the the quantity of his land and air forces, he does not have much naval force. They are ships made of blackened metal with the flag of the imperial crest. More to come? Edited by Andromalius, Nov 12 2009, 02:34 PM.
