Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members.

Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity.

But how long will that peace last?

Alyssa smiled at Mjor's comedic impression, his charming personality was such a delight to have around. Managing to brighten her atmosphere and fill it with laughter. He jokingly chided her for her enjoyment of water drenched men, she fained repentance, and hung her head in self shame. The "priest" had been wrong however, she wasn't interested in any water drenched man, her heart was only set on the likes of Mjor. She truly understood now what it meant to feel "whole", having previously thought it was a bunch of halfhearted lovey dovey bunch of lies.

Mjor had grown quiet so she began to take small pieces from the healing herbs she had and placed them into the pestle, she looked at the lily of sanita seeds she had in her bag, she would not use them for this batch, she had no intentions of becoming a famous healer or the creator of some sort of miracle concoction. She sighed happily, imagining herself sitting in front of a warm fireplace, a basket of herbs at her feet, her pestle and mortar in her lap. Mjor playing with the children escaping from the elven nanny, Grizelda, who had watched her, her father, and her father's father when they were all quite young. The mere thought of it filled her with a strange anticipation, reminding her of her beloved friend Phoebe once again. Alyssa wondered if Phoebe's father had allowed her to marry the miller's son, in the time that Alyssa had gone. She really had to get to writing that letter she had said she would.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the creaking backboards of the bed as Mjor flopped onto it. "A puny mercenary does not make a useless mercenary" she said with a chuckle, imagining Mjor without his fit figure, just plain skin and bones, or pudgy and round, that would be quite different. "However if you are worried about your training I could help if you'd like" she suggested.

Mjor

Mjor smiled as Alyssa offered to help him. Somehow he knew she would, it was so her to want to. She was such a kind and helpful person... The opposite to Mjor, who was selfish, a cheat and a liar. He did not deserve her. But, seemingly, she wanted to be with him, and he was too selfish to let someone like her slip through his fingers, he wanted to be close to her with every fibre of his being, he wanted to be everything for her... Even though he knew he never could be. He was a poor, brutish low born brute of a verminous man. Why did he only think of himself like that now she was here? He never did before, that was sure. She made him look at himself... Was that a bad thing? Was it?... No. It wasn't. By looking at himself, he saw what he was... And he could change himself, make him better for her. He might not be any good for her now, but damn he would be. He would do that... And then, hopefully by then, he would be ready... He would need a ring... And then, they could... And after that... His mind got tripped up and confused as he thought.

"It would make me a useless one. I am not clever, a strategist... And I have but one magic spell. I live hit things with that" he nodded to his glaive "And they become dead things. As I said when I first met you..." his mind wandered back, and he was disgusted with himself for his motives then "There is nothing glorious about what I do. It's what I do in between the jobs that is amazing." he turned onto his side, leaning on his elbow and looking at her "I can train by myself, I have for years" he told her, which sounded harsh, forcing him to add "If you wanted to do some of it with me though... You could. I would do that for you... I would do anything..." he looked away from her, and flopped back again, partly hiding his face. "When did I become so heavily in love?" he chuckled.

Alyssa placed a few of the medicinal leaves she plucked off of the bunch of herbs she had taken out earlier, placing them into the mortar which she began to crush thoughtfully with the pestle working to crush them into a fine powder which she would then add to water and mix together for the potion. In small pouches she would keep some of the herbs in their powdered form to be used as seen fit by those who bought them. Alyssa understood the danger as well as the sadness that accompanied the profession of being a mercenary, she would fight though. She would fight alongside him, and help him in anyway possible, perhaps she wouldn't kill anyone....at least not yet, but she was quite capable of restraining someone.

She knew that Mjor would probably want to train alone, however this would give him a taste of what she was capable of doing. She didn't intend to be the damsel in distress, she would become akin to an Amazon Princess if need be. About to open her mouth in rebuttal, Mjor told her that she would allow her to train with him, that he would do anything for her. She stopped crushing the herbs, and stared at Mjor, had she been a different type of girl she would have burst out crying. Once again, Mjor had managed to stir her heart with strong emotions. It was clear that he loved her more than anyone else possibly could on Elenlond. She could throw her herbs aside and wrap her arms around him at that moment, however that was very unbecoming of a young lady.

"I believe it was last night" she said with a laugh, while resuming to crush the herbs into a fine powder. "About the same time I did, yes...I believe thats right" she said acting as if it were a distant memory she vaguely recollected. Taking one of the empty bottles she poured some of the contents of the mortar into the jar and poured the remains into small pouches which she tied with a string. Now all she had to do was get the water in the large bottle and mix it with the powder until the water turned green, then she would be ready to sell her potions.

Mjor shook his head "Last night, is that all?" he thought for a moment. It was indeed but a night ago. How was that possible, that memory which seemed to him to be the purest sign of his mental healing, his love beggining, and... Well, of everything positive about him ever, was so little time ago. "It feels like a distant memory now... As if years have come between now and then... Maybe one day it will be such a distant memory" he thought aloud, hoping it would.

"I am going to miss you so much tommorow" he said, glumly "If I can grow to love you so much in a day, I don't want to have miss a moment". As he was talkign he saw her finish packing away the herbs she had ground up. He had to admit it was a skilled art she practicsed, he certainly was not good enough at anything that small and fiddly to beable to, and he would be useless at remembering what herb does what when mixed with what other herb. He guessed he would have to add talented to the list next time he paid her a compliment.

Alyssa took her bag and searched until she found a smooth round rock which fit perfectly into the palm of her hand. A hole with a strong string through it sealed magically together to form a seamless loop. She held it up to see it clearly, a minor trinket she had acquired from Madrid days ago, she didn't know exactly what kind of charm she was going to make when she first bought it, though now it had a purpose. It would serve as a charm of protection, which she would give to Mjor.

Her eyes rose as he said that he would miss her tomorrow, he was so sweet. He could barely stand the few minutes it would take to get an employer apart from her. Taking the the charm into her hand and etching into the stone with a small nail shaped object that had come with the charm, inscribing the magical symbol for protection from the list of symbols that had also come with the charm. It was a very good sale. "Don't worry" she said with a smile "After you find your employer we'll be able to go do whatever is required together" Having inscribed the symbol, she enclosed the stone in her hand, counted to five and opened her hand. The symbol had taken on a green colour and the rest of the stone had a notable sheen. Magic always seemed to advance more and more these days.

Alyssa seemed to be focusing on some stone now... Mjor wondered what it was for. She really was quite amazing, what she could do. But... There was a problem. She expected to come with him on his job. She couldn't... But... He looked into her eyes, and could not bring himself to tell her now... Not now, not when everything was so perfect, he didn't want to ruin it... Well... He could look for a job which was either quite safe, so she could come along, or else he could look for one dangerous enough that he really could easily tell her not to go. That could work. No. Honesty was the best policy here (the first time he had ever thought that) "Alyssa..." he said softly, tenderly "Its going to be dangerous, who knows how dangerous... I don't want to risk you getting hurt" he sat up and looked at his feet "If you got hurt at all whilst you were there with me, I, well, I would not be able to forgive myself" he glanced up for a moment, expecting anger... He was wrapping her in cotton wool, and he knew it. But, to imagine her even scratched was an unbearable.

"I want to let you come with me, honestly I do, but... I get hurt sometimes, and I have been fighting since I could walk. It's not I think you can't handle yourself, but if it all goes badly... I don't want anything bad to happen to you" he wringed his hands, and the other reason ran through his head "And... After you have seen me kill people, you might not love me anymore". He felt bad for telling her this, but, to let her come and risk her life just to stay with him? That would be so much worse.

So that was why he said he was going to miss her. He had not expected her to come along with her, which really shouldn't have been a surprise. She was a woman, a noble woman at that, its not very often that you hear about nobles doing mercenary work of any sort. She was better than that though, she was capable of defending herself, her magic would also be a great aid. Its not very often that you find someone capable of controlling the very landscape around your enemies. She would be a great help, she could heal, she could strike back, she could defend. Did he think that she was some sort of doll, shattering at the slightest of bumps?

No. She was being unfair. He was doing what every good man should do for the woman he loves. He was looking out for her, and his intentions were pure. Obviously he'd be afraid to send her out on the battlefield, there were so many different things that happened in a battle, anything could happen to anyone. He didn't want to risk losing her. She understood. Alyssa's will almost shattering as he told her that he was afraid of her affections waning after witnessing him in battle.

"I will always love you Mjor" she said sincerely, placing her hand on his shoulder. She could never stop loving Mjor simply because he was doing something he was born to do. He was raised into his lifestyle, as she was raised into hers. However, she did not intend to play as a damsel, waiting for her knight to return, worrying about him every moment. She could not bare it, at least not yet, she wanted to be there with him. Perhaps after the training session his views would change.

The air was pregnant with a pause which seemed to last for days, but in fact was more like seconds. He wondered what was going through her head... Did she think he was mollycoddling her? Did she think he was belittling what she was capable of? Would that make her want no more to do with him, make her think he was just like the noble lords who would lock her away from the world?

A few simple words dispelled his fears "I will always love you Mjor". The words danced across his mind, the truth and love in them sinking deep within him. She placed her hand on his shoulder, and seemed to drain the worry from him.

He moved his hand atop hers, entwining his fingers with hers, and then brought the hand down, placing his other hand so hers was in between his, whereupon he rested his head upon them "Thankyou" he whispered to her "For understanding, and for loving me" he exhaled heavily, wanting the perfect words, the perfect gesture to follow "Every fiber of me will love every cell of you as long as I live and beyond" he settled on, and stood up, his hands moving, gliding around to her back and holding her close. Just... Because he could. Because he needed the contact, the proof she was still there. It was impossible to justify when thought of, but in the short time he had knew her, she had become something irreplacable to him.

Mjor gracefully led her into an embrace, and brought her close to himself. She loved these moments with him, even though this one felt a bit bittersweet. She had not been as understanding within her mind of Mjor wanting to leave her behind, as he had thought, she was nowhere as perfect as he often thought she was. Maybe she would stay behind then, if only to please him, that's all she wanted to do. Sliding her hand out from Mjor's embrace she took out the charm of protection she had made.

"Here" she said. Alyssa still couldn't believe that she was giving into his wishes so quickly, had it have been her father she would have rebelled forcefully, even tying up any guards who forbade her with vines she would summon forth from the walls of the castle. Her father had always said that there was no stopping the will of a nymph, which supposedly explained why she was always rebelling. However, Mjor had quite easily managed to subdue her, it made her smile at the thought of it. "I made this charm of protection for you" She said.

She wasn't even too sure whether Mjor would need such a thing, certainly such an accomplished mercenary would hardly get any wounds, otherwise he would probably be dead by now. However it would nice, just for reassurance so that she would know he was safe.

For a few moments both of them seemed to merely enjoy the closeness of the other, not moving, and for Mjor not thinking either, just letting the moment imprint itself on his memory. Recently there had been many such moments like that, many shapshots of his life he hoped always to remember, and they all were based around her. Change... It was not so bad after all.

Alyssa broke the silence between them, and took out the charm Mjor had been admiring her make. She had made it for him? How... How like her. Mjor felt every part of him melt into a relaxed smile "Thankyou" he bowed his head a little, letting her put it around his neck "This means a lot, not for its magic, but because its from you" he looked down, and ran one hand over it (now that Alyssa had taken her hand from his, it was free), feeling the marks that had been made mere minutes ago. He was touched by the gift, a little bit of extra help was always useful, you could never be too safe, but even more he was touched by the sentiment. She was so precious to him. He knew right then, that if he needed to do so for her, he would push the charms protection magic to its limit and beyond.

He placed a kiss on her forehead "I'll show you how worthy I am of your gift, and your love"

She didn't expect the charm to be as highly praised as it had been. It was a simple trinket in her eyes, but Alyssa was glad to have pleased Mjor. His happiness contributed to her own. She smiled as he kissed her on her forehead, the wave of warmth flowing through her body at the gesture. Each of his kisses were always so meaningful, and so pure, it made each kiss seem almost magical.

"You have shown me already that you are more than worthy of my love" she said while caressing his cheek with her hand. She then realized that it must have been late, the candle burned brightly, the wax not quite melted into a small pool, putting out the flame, but it wouldn't be much longer. She didn't feel tired though, she felt as if she hadn't been more awake in her life, it was probably the effect of the plants from the earth sanctuary. Mjor would need to rest though, a sleepy mercenary was a dead mercenary, she dreaded the thought.

"I think we should go to sleep" suggested Alyssa "We both have busy days ahead for us, and I still want to put you through my training routine" she said with a smile. It would be good for her to stretch her limbs, she was quite our of magical shape in her eyes. The vine in her bag still had yet to be used, perhaps she would use it tomorrow? She shrugged she would worry about it when she got it.

Mjor

"Well, it can't hurt to keep showing you can it" Mjor told her as she caressed his cheek, the soft touch of her skin being something... Magical, or perhaps enchanting. He knew not really how to explain it, he just knew it was a good thing, a good thing he hoped would continue for... Well, he hoped it would continue indefinatly. But would it? Already he had to leave her behind whilst he did... Whatever mission he got. What if he died, what if she was left waiting for him for days, weeks maybe even months. The thought stung.

Alyssa suggested bed... Mjor had to admit, he was a little tired, his sleep last night had been disturbed by thoughts and worries, hopes, dreams and fears. Whilst today had not been exactly relaxing, what with his unexpected swim and the fact they had been walking all day, tommorow was promising to be taxing also. He needed to sleep. But... If he did, those would be precious moments away from her, for he could not see much of a future, either he died, or she would not be able to put up with the waiting and worry. "We do... " he agreed with her "Although I don't want to waste a moment that could of been spent like this" he ran his hand through her hair gently, before sighing "But... I suppose if I was given a goodnight kiss I would have no choice but to go to bed" he winked at her. Truly he was happy. He hoped against all logic it would last.

Alyssa smiled at Mjor, when around him she always found it hard not to. He always managed to do something charming or something sweet. He would compliment her about something she had never bothered to notice about herself or he would compare her to something wonderfully beautiful in nature, claiming that she was even more beautiful. The very thought of those memories, flustered her, and made a warmth spread throughout her body as she fondly thought of them. She loved Mjor with her entire being, she only wished that she could be as loving as he was.

He was always ready to kiss, to embrace, to forwardly show emotion. Grizelda had always taught her to do the opposite, to remain "ladylike". She had to remain behind a mask of solid resolve, to be unfazed by the slightest outbursts, to remain mysterious and distant. Of course, while she was with her mother, grandmother, and Phoebe she managed to go against all those teachings, but they were family, friends and nymphs. True love was something she had never witnessed herself, she was never brave enough, nor interested in chasing after a boy she had a juvenile crush on.

He cleverly asked for a bedtime kiss, to which Alyssa smiled to once again. She contemplated for a split second on deciding whether to kiss him on his cheek. Instead, she placed her lips against his for an enchanting moment.

"Goodnight" she said afterwards. Alyssa felt proud of herself, as well as slightly accomplished. She would overcome the unfeeling mannerisms she had been taught.

Alyssa paused for a split second, before agreeing to his subtle question with her actions, placing a short, soft kiss on his lips. The act made the hard bitten mercenary smile, the act of actual, true feeling. A simple, but real action... He was used to faking feelings and actions, making people think he meant things, meant words like love... But here, he actually did. "Goodnight" she told him.

"Goodnight... I look forward to our tommorow" Mjor replied, and reached across, giving Alyssa time to lie down before he snuffed out the flame that illuminated the area they lay in. Darkness grasped all around them immediatly, although there was a flicker of light from under the door to the toom, but it was nothing much. Not enough to bother him anyway, this was a good place to stay, and it was free as well. He wished he had known about it before, he could of used it many a time when he was in or around the area.

He looked over at Alyssa, he could not see much other than her outline, he was not sure if she was awake or asleep, but decided to leave her... He did not want to crowd her, to make her feel he was so desperate for her as to not be able to leave her for a moment.

What had happened to him? How had it happened? These questions once again plaugued at Mjor's mind, and he thought over them, wanting to find a modicum of understanding. As he went over the time he had spent with Alyssa, he fell into a light sleep.

It was light when he awoke, but not enought to make him think he had overslept. Slowly he sat up, before looking over to see if Alyssa was either awake or still in bed.

Mjor blew the candle out blanketing the entire room in darkness. Alyssa lay in bed waiting until she heard the heavy breathing that came along with sleep. She sat up in bed and reached for her handbag pulling out a blank piece of paper, a quill pen and a bottle of ink. She looked over at Mjor with her breath held to see if he had been disturbed. His breathing remained the same. She took the bottle of ink and placed it on a flat part of the bed where the sheet had not been disturbed. Ever since Alyssa could remember she had been able to see quite well in the dark, perhaps another nymph quality she had inherited, she had never bother to ask a nymph whether they could see as well in the night as they could in the day. She dabbed the pen into the ink and began to write what she had been itching to write for a long time.

Alyssa wrote her letter to Phoebe recounting the adventures she went on, the places she saw. the people she met. She would have talked about the glade but she felt that it should be a secret kept between herself and Mjor. She used most of the bulk of her letter talking about Mjor, she felt as if she couldn't perfectly describe him through words alone. Hopefully Phoebe and Mjor would be able to meet one day. In the last part of the letter Alyssa asked how things were back at the castle, how her parents were doing, if she and the miller's son had finally engaged. Alyssa briefly wondered if she would be there for the wedding, and sealed the letter with a happy sigh. "For Phoebe's eyes alone" she whispered faintly into the letter. The incantation ensured that only Phoebe would be able to see what was written, preventing any nosey postal workers from reading the private discussion. She would have it delivered when she went to town, or perhaps the priests would have it delivered. Yawning, she pulled the covers tightly around herself, and fell asleep.

The sky was golden, having not yet turned blue when Alyssa woke up, the first rays of sunlight stretching over the horizon as she sat up in bed. She looked over at Mjor who still lay in bed and she silently slid out not wanting to wake him up when he could get more rest. She exited the room, and was immediately greeted by priests dressed in green robes, it seemed that they were coming to leave a platter of fresh fruits and vegetables harvested from the Earth Sanctuary in their room. Alyssa offered to take the platter and gave them the letter she needed delivered. Feeling as if she was walking in circles, she headed back to the room, only to find Mjor sitting up alert in bed.

"Good morning" she said cheerfully "I hope fruits and vegetables suit your fancy for breakfast today"

So it seemed that Alyssa had got up before him. That was odd, Mjor was a very light sleeper, he had to be the amount of times he was forced to sleep in places where not to be spelt death. He was ever so slightly concerned by this fact, but... Well, he supposed no harm had been done... Or had it? Where was she?

It was as this thought crossed his mind (which caused one hand to rest on the hilt of one of his knives, an action he recognised as paranoid, but did anyway) that she came back into the room, holding a tray of fruits and the like no less... The way the morning rays danced across her, casting shadows, illuminating and brightening... It was utterly breathtaking. "As long as I am to have it with you, I would dine on anything" he smiled, and stood up, stretching, although as he did so it felt strange, being in such... Priestly garments. They were so restrictive, so controlling and conforming. Well, he had to make do. Brushing his hair from his face, and looking forward to a chance for a proper wash (even if, technically he had yesterday, albeit in a somewhat accidental fashion) he walked over to her, a soft grin of relaxation on his face. He wanted to make some kind of romantic gesture, do something to show how every feeling he felt for her was, whilst strange and new, and incredibly scary when he stopped to think (a thankfully rare occurance), so... How it was. "I missed you" he settled on, and falling back slightly on words which had often been used as honeyed lies before, but now the meaning actually made sense "For my dreams cannot hope to match the reality". He reached out onto the platter. An apple. Perfect, he had always loved apples, something about them, the crispness, the deep red colour, the fact they were easy to find and easy to eat on the move. He grabbed one, and tossed it into the air, catching it again with an ease which gave away how many times he had done that.

"Welcome to our third day" he commented, raising an eyebrow as he noted how absurd their situation was for two people who had known each other for so little time. He took a bite out of the apple.

Alyssa placed the tray on the table, giggling fondly to his morning compliments, while he took a shiny apple, throwing it up and catching it jovially. Even though it was the beginning of only their third day, she already felt that she'd be incomplete without Mjor's compliments in the mornings. The day seemed like it was full of promise already, and when Mjor welcomed the third day Alyssa felt inclined to add.

"May we have many more" she said with a smile, taking a piece of a cantaloupe from the tray with her fork. "What shall we do today before you head for your employer?" she then asked before eating the cantaloupe slice, and then starting to eat a small bunch of ripe grapes.

"Many, many more" Mjor agreed just before he took another bite. The idea was... Strange. To have one thing in his life which was constant and unchanging, whereas before all had been chaos and anarchy. He rebelled against stasis... He used to. Maybe he had grown up a bit. That was a uncomfortable thought, it meant next was old age, and he honestly had never planned on getting there... He certainly had no plan if he did. He blinked, and snapped back to reality.

"You know, I don't really care what we do this morning" he mused, using his empty hand to stroke lightly at his chin, which brought home the fact he needed to shave (it was easier to get the high paying high society jobs whne you looked more presentable) "All I care about is who I do it with" he looked over to Alyssa and just... Felt calmed immediatly, even though he was not aware he had been feeling stressed. "I guess I should make myself look presentable though... And get my clothes back... And I also believe somebody very important wants to go through a little trainign routine with me?" he grinned, and took another bite.

She was glad that Mjor didn't care what they did, perhaps they could go for a walk together, enjoying each other's company as they walked through the forest observing the things around them. Alyssa would enjoy walking through her own forest with Mjor, eagerly showing her the various places she had been, maybe even introducing him to her grandmother, and the other nymphs who lived in the woods. She didn't have to worry about her grandmother accepting Mjor, she knew she'd like him.

Her eyes widened and she clasped her hands together cheerfully. She had forgotten about the training ordeal, yes that would be fun. "Oh yeah" she said cheerfully "I forgot about are little training date. Nothing like a bit of exercise." She took up her handbag and placed on her lap while she rummaged for her seed pouch. "I suppose we can train when you're ready" She poured the various seeds onto her hand, she could sense the tiny life throbbing inside waiting to be born. It always filled her with hope to hold a seed in her hand.

It was interesting to see her rumage through the seeds. To know in each one was a tiny life... And she was so caring of them, like she was with everything, even someone like him, a man who had long ago been forced to either drown in blood, or drink it, and had to choose the latter.

"Lets not rush, shall we?" he replied to her "I'll get my clothes back, and then we can head out, find a nice spot, and train a little there... Maybe if we buy some lunch in town we could bring it with us, and then in the afternoon we can head back, and I'll see about getting a pretty penny or two". He liked his idea, it was laid back, simple, and allowed him plenty of time with her, which was of course the ultimate aim.

"Well, whatever we do, I need to get my actual clothes back first, so gimme a minute" he got up, and blew her a kiss as he left the room. It did not take long to track down his now dry clothes, and after washing himself briefly he changed back, feeling much more at home outside the priests apparell. He made sure the good luck charm was prominent, he wanted her to see how much he valued it.

Feeling refreshed, and at the same time a little anxious, he headed back to the room, to where he had left the woman who... Well, he was not sure where it would go, in the end. He never wanted it to end, but, somehow, logically, it seemed like it had to... Didnt it? He hated the idea. But at least it gave him all the more reason to enjoy the moment. He opened the door and walked in.

She recognized each flower, plant, and tree that would bloom from every seed, a rose, peppermint, bramble, ivy, cane, maple, birch. It was if she could faintly see them in her mind when she touched each seed. Alyssa opened the seed sack and let the seeds tumble back into the small bag, and she pulled the drawstring, effectively closing the bag. She placed her elbows on the table and rested her chin on her palms, she loved how everything about the day seemed perfect. The weather outside was beautiful, birds sang harmoniously, she was travelling aimlessly, spending her time with the love of her life. It was very hard in this state of mind, to recognize that at the very moment, somewhere in Elenlond a conqueror was slowly bringing the world to its knees. Creating a great shift in the balance, she could feel it to her very core, the nymphs would feel it too, but how long until they actually decided to do anything? She sighed, there was no need for her to dwell on such negative thoughts.

Alyssa heard the door open and she looked up, Mjor was back in his regular guise. She felt overwhelmed with just how much she loved the very sight of him. She smiled, and stood up "Hmm" she said while examining him up and down exaggeratively "I think I recognize this man"

Mjor

Immediatly as he entered the room Alyssa looked to him "Hmm" she said examining him in an over the top manner "I think I recognize this man".

Mjor smiled as her, and walked up to her "You know, I think I reconginse you too" he replied, a little playfully "I fell in love with someone a lot like you" he told her, circling her a little "A lot like you indeed" he walked over to his bed, and picked up his weapons, strapping his knives and glaive to him, putting what little money he had back on his belt.

He wondered what his life would be like in ten, twenty years if he and Alyssa managed to stay together for that time, if he survived, if she could take the fact he would risk his life time and time again, often in situations where he was good as meant to lose his life... He hoped that time would prove him wrong.

"Shall we go?" he asked, offering her his hand "And we can both try and remember ourselves together" he smiled warmly. He wondered where today would lead them, they had their plans, and the world had its, it was always just a case of how those two sets of plans crossed over.
