Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity.

But how long will that peace last?

Elizabeth Sommers

"Step right up and witness wonders!" Lizzie called out holding out a whip and flicking it into the air, a cracking noise reverberating through the little area she had found, filled with people. A few people turned their heads and looked at her, but even few walked up. "I am Elizabeth Sommers and I will be you're entertainer today!" She laughed and did a back flip through a loops in her whip, cracking it when her feet hit the ground, before bowing her cape billowing out behind her.

Lizzie grinned at the people surrounding her now. Most of them marveled by her peculiar hair. Which was a bright shade of natural Pink. She wore a black skirt, and a mans shirt, with weird black socks up past her knees. On her back laid a huge black cape that billowed slightly in the wind. She lifted a foot up in the air holding onto the tip of it as it went up past her head and stood straight up, her other foot standing on the tip toe. "Tell me ladies and Gentleman!" She said while her foot was in the air and she pulled off her cloak laying it on the ground. "What would you like to hear today? I'll sing a song any song!" She called out slowly spinning on the spot.

She looped her whip around her waist and it hung there by her side, ready for her to grab. "You sir!" She said pulling her body out of the slow spin and doing a backflip before landing in front of a man. "Pick you're favourite song and I'll sing it!" She said looking up at him happily. "Erm.." The man said looking a bit startled at the pink haired girl in front of him. "How about.. It's over now." He said slowly.

Grinning she bowed her head and flipped back to the middle of her circle of people. "It's over now it is!" She said holding out her arms for everyone to see her. She slowly lifted her foot and bent over backwards until her hands were on the ground, then flipping up into a handstand, flipping back gracefully she stood up and sang. Her voice rang out over the group of people, it was a rather fast paced son so she sang it quickly, her voice ringing out before slowly fading into silence. A few people clapped and threw some coins onto her cape laying on the ground. "Thank you ladies and gentleman! I'm here all week!" She said laughing as the crowd dispersed.

Bending down she picked up her coins and bit each one of them before tucking it into a pocket in the cloak and putting the cloak back on. She spun in a small circle and tip toed out of the square. People were everywhere and she loved it, more of an opportunity to get some food. Glancing at the carts she grinned and while passing, used a man to shield her view as she picked up a piece of bread from a cart and walked off, once out of site she pulled it out from under her cloak and took a bite.

Glancing around she sat down in the grass around a small tree sitting in the middle of the houses and ate her piece of bread slowly, taking her time with it, before swallowing and pulling out her coins. Not much, she could have done better, she'd have to try and find a more populated place next time. Seeing as the people around her had mostly been artists like herself. Maybe she'd try up at the Temple next. Yeah, that sounded good, she'd probably end up singing some hymn but that was fine, as long as she got enough money to pay for some stuff she'd be fine.

She ate her bread in silence watching people pass her on the street smiling as she finished it up and stood up preparing to head up to the temple to try her luck at getting some more money up there, even though she wasn't hungry anymore, it was always nice to have a small sack filled with coins, made you feel special. Wanted.

The wielder of the Light that dispels the void.

Drake was standing around really with nothing to do. Maybe it was time to go on and leave the city, head back to his pointless wandering... Suddenly, he heard a girl's voice, calling out something about witnessing wonders. It was followed by an extremely loud noise, which caused him to look over, startled. There was a girl there holding a whip... She had pink hair. That was rather unusual...

The girl introduced herself to the crowd as Elizabeth Sommers, and then did a backflip and cracked her whip again. Drake stopped paying attention to her acrobatic antics, he didn't care that much. He started walking away again, not much caring. However, then he heard her offering to sing a song, and asking for requests. He glanced back, and then noticed as she picked a man from the audience to make a request. So, she was requesting a request? Heh.

Drake stayed and listened to the song. Once it was done, he did like some of the other members of the audience had and gave her some coins. However, he tossed an entire handful... He figured she needed them far more than he did. He had accumulated a not inconsiderable amount of money from when he wandered and killed off bandits, and really he didn't spend that much of it. He didn't have an insane amount, or indeed as much as you might expect considering that he had been raised by nobles, but it still wasn't anything to scoff at.

Drake then tried to make his way through the crowd away from there, he wasn't really interested in anything. Maybe he should check around to see if there was any information about bandits or anything... But he was horrible at asking around for information... Really horrible. Last time, a barfight had broken out... Granted, it was the kind of place that probably was a bad idea to ask around in regardless, but it had still turned out to be a wreck... Mostly because of some ridiculous childish prank by that guy Drium though...

Drake continued to wander for some time, still bored. He glanced around, trying to keep his eye out to see if there was maybe any trouble to get involved in... And then he realized that it really was time to try and figure out what to do. He couldn't just wander the city bored... Drake wasn't paying attention to where he was going at the moment, and suddenly he tripped over someone's foot. "Gah!" he cried out... And fell face-first right into a tree. His face scraped against the bark as he slid the rest of the way to the ground.

"Urrgh..." Drake groaned slightly as he got up. He shook his head as he sat up, and then put his palm directly to his forehead. "Okay, that was officially pathetic..." he muttered to himself. He sighed and looked around again. Well, at least there weren't too many people staring at him... He still felt ridiculous. He stood up, and noticed that on the other side of the tree was the same pink-haired girl that had given the performance earlier.

Drake said, "Hi." and then winced. Why had he said hi? He didn't normally just say hi to people... He sighed. Hopefully his brain wasn't permanently melted from the boredom he'd been feeling... This hadn't been the first time that being bored out of his mind really had meant "out of his mind" essentially.

Lizzie yelped when someone tripped over her foot, and landed face first against a tree. "Oh my are you ok?!? She asked standing up quickly staring at the man who had tripped over her. Muttering something about being pathetic she smiled slightly. That sure was true, but she wasn't going to say that aloud. She pushed a strand of hair out of her face and then realized she had seen him around her performance. Smiling slightly she held out a hand. "Hi, I'm Elizabeth, but everyone calls me Lizzie." She said smiling at him.

She heard the soft jingle of coins in her pocket and she grinned. She recognized him as the one who had thrown a handful of coins down onto her cape. "I saw you at my performance, how did you like it?" She asked grinning at him. She didn't really notice that he had probably hurt himself. She wasn't observant like that, but she didn't really care anyway. Of course he could probably use her hand to help himself up.

But she was pretty much content, more hoping to get out of there and get in another small show before night fall. She hoped she'd be able to anyway. Seeing as it was getting later, she needed to get out of town soon anyway, though she had just gotten here so she'd be ok for a while, though she didn't like to stay in one place for to long.

"So what brings you to the big city? You don't look like the type to stay in a city for to long." She said crossing her arms over her chest and staring at him, her hair falling around her shoulders a little piece of pink hair falling into her face. She smiled at him for a second before glancing around. "Hope you didn't hurt your face to much.." She said glancing at the tree and seeing the spot where he had pushed the bark off with his face. She winced inwardly, that had to hurt.

The girl asked him if he was okay, and then introduced herself as Lizzie. Drake replied, "Yeah, I'm fine... I just wasn't paying attention to where I was going..." He winced again, he felt so ridiculous... She then said that she'd noticed him at her performance, and asked how he'd liked it. He responded, "It was pretty nice. The brain-melting boredom that was why I wasn't paying attention went away while you were singing... Sadly it came back once the song ended." He chuckled weakly and then sighed, his palm connecting with his forehead again as he shook his head.

Then, Lizzie asked him why he was in the city, saying that he didn't look like the type to stay in a city for long. Then she said that she hoped he hadn't hurt his face too much. Drake said, "Well, I first came back here partially because I thought a friend of mine would like a library I know of, and she didn't really know how to get here..." He shook his head, "No real idea why I stayed. I don't really have anything to do, and I don't know anyone... Not that I want to meet anyway." he shuddered at the thought of that vile witch who had raised him.

Then, he said, "And yeah, I'm fine. I go around fighting bandits, I don't think I'm gonna lose a fight to a tree... Alright, a fall into a tree, whatever." He laughed a bit. It did sting a little, but really it wasn't that bad... He was more embarrassed than in pain. He didn't tend to care that much what people thought, but... He actually would have still been slightly embarrassed if something similar had happened and there hadn't been anyone around.

Lizzie nodded to him and let her hand fall from where it had been, crossing it over her chest. "Hunting bandits you say? What kind of bandits?" She sat down next to him her legs stretched out in front of her, her arms behind her head. "Do you hunt.. the normal type of bandits? Or like, special ones? Murders?" She asked lazily. But in the back of her mind she was kind of freaking out. Seeing as she sorta was a bandit, she stole things, even if the stealing was for food, she still stole. Meaning she was a bandit, technically. Not like she could steal anything larger then what could fit under her cape, but still. She didn't know what kind of bandits he killed and her mind was freaking out.

Even with the terror in her mind, her face stayed completely passive, waiting for him to answer her question, acting like she had never stolen a thing in her life, even though she was starting to steal a lot more, mostly for survival, but of course with all those new coins he had thrown at her. It was pretty nice to know you had money for some food. Maybe even enough money to get a place to sleep in a nice inn for the first time in her pitiful existence. Not like she cared though. Living on the streets had their benefits. Like her finding out how amazingly talented she was.

Even if it was just because she was flexible and could sing. People seemed to enjoy watching that, and she enjoyed making people happy even if it was just for a moment, not to mention she got lucky, like she did today with the handful of coins. That was a lucky break, from this very generous man. "Oh and thanks for the coins, that might feed me for a month!" She said grinning at him.

What kind of bandits did he hunt? Drake responded, "When I talk about bandits, I mean like... Murdering travelers on the road, planning on destroying villages... That kind of thing. I can't stand creeps like that who don't care who they hurt just to satisfy their greed..." It was true. Even now, Drake was shaking with anger at the thought of those creeps. His eyes had changed, the irises were now golden, while the pupils had become slits that appeared to be windows into endless flames.

Then, she thanked him for the coins, saying that she could probably last on them for a month. Drake's anger at what he'd been thinking about evaporated, and his eyes returned to their normal green. He noticed her grin, and he smiled back warmly, "Well, I don't much need them anyway. I already have all my supplies I need for now, and I'll probably end up leaving the city again soon. I can probably even give you a few more if you need them, it's not like I'm using them for much..."

Drake then sighed. "If anything, I almost feel bad keeping any of the money I have, though I probably should always keep a little in reserve. I mean, I don't really much use it for anything, and I'm not interested in hoarding wealth or anything... I dunno. I don't feel like just giving all of it away, but I don't have any reason to keep much with me." He laughed, "Sorry. This probably isn't a problem most people have, but then again, I've never been like 'most people' especially when compared to other people from noble families." A slight look of disgust came on his face as he remembered his past. "Not like I can go back to where I came from, even if I was remotely interested in seeing that vile witch who raised me..."

Drake shook his head again. The memories were coming back, and he was shaking with rage again, his eyes flaming and golden once more. "She'd probably try to kill me if I came back, since it turns out that I'm not human..." He shook his head and chuckled weakly. "Gah, listen to me going on about things you probably don't care about..." Then he realized something. "Oh, I haven't told you my name yet, have I? I'm Drake, Drake Aurelis."

Lizzie listened to him silently a frown creasing her forehead. He talked to her like he knew her, and she was rather confused. Did he talk like this to everyone? But she listened calmly seeing his eyes randomly change colours. What kind of person was he? Ability to change his eye colour? He talked about how he wasn't like normal people, and looked disgusted about Noble families before finally coming back to his senses. "It's.. good to meet you Drake." She said slowly keeping her eyes on him. "Do you.. always go off on your past with random strangers?" She asked sitting up to stared at him. It wasn't normal that someone talked to her, so it was odd that he was. She reached her toes out and stretched out to reach her toes, laying completely across her legs.

Leaning back up she turned to smile at him. "I don't need you're money." She said looking at him. "I'm pretty well off at the moment, especially with other money I get from performances, but I was just about to go off up to the palace, or some temples, people who actually have money stay around there so I usually try a little bit of begging up there, yeah, I'm a beggar, don't judge me ok?" She said staring at him hard her eyes showing what she meant.

She got enough crap from people everyday about her being a beggar, her not having money, having bad clothes. She had had shoes thrown at her, pans thrown at her, anything that was easily accessible by hand when she was caught stealing. She didn't really care about the clothes, but after having seven shoes, pans, and other things that would sometimes hit her, thrown at her, she got kind of tired of people making fun of her. And he kind of seemed like the rich type of guy who would look down upon her for needing to beg, perform for money. Keep herself alive by stealing. He would probably be angry if he knew she had stolen even a piece of bread, he seemed to good, to rich, so well off. She shook her head and turned away from him.

She had to admit, he was pretty hot, but he was rich, thrown coins to her, given her money, sure he was nice, but he got angry to easily. She shook her head her pink hair falling over her shoulders and laying across her chest. "You could follow and request a song or something." She said shrugging at him before standing up.

Drake winced at her question of if he always went off into his past. His palm connected with his face again, and he said, "I'm sorry... It's a bad habit of mine, sometimes I just end up going on and on about something when I'm in a conversation. Sorry if I got annoying or anything..." He felt ridiculous. She then said that she didn't need his money, saying that she was pretty well off at the moment, from performances. She then said that she'd been about to go to places like the temple or palace to beg for money. Then she said something about not judging her...?

Drake looked at her confused for a moment. Judge her, why would he do that...? Then she said that he could follow and request a song, before she stood up again... Drake simply stood there for a moment, slightly confused. What was that about judging her...? Then, he realized. "Lizzie..." he said, "Do you think I'm just some stuck up noble? Is that why you think I'd judge you...?" He shook his head. "No, I'm not. I can't stand creeps who think they're more important than everyone else for whatever reason, be it status or whatever."

Drake sighed, "You won't want me to go into my past again, but none of the money I have is from who I was raised by. I earned it all, in some way or another... I understand that things aren't always easy." He then shook his head and sighed yet again. "Then again, you'll probably never believe me no matter what I say now that I mentioned that I was raised by nobles." Drake wasn't really thinking about his past now, but he was simply frustrated at this point.

Drake then said, "Since you no doubt want nothing to do with me, I won't trouble you with my presence anymore. I'll probably just wander again, lonely. Maybe I'll see you again, maybe I won't..." His voice sounded slightly hurt as he spoke the last part, before he turned to walk away. As he did so... He probably shouldn't have, but he took out the pouch that he kept his money in and dropped it on the ground, though making it look like an accident. She'd probably hear the jangling of the coins and look. However, by then he'd probably be disappearing into the crowd... Oh who was he kidding, he was too tall to "disappear" into a crowd. Still, he did continue walking away...

Lizzie stared down at him. Hearing him voice her very thoughts. What was he some kind of mind reader or something? "Erm.." She stammered but he continued to talk. So he wasn't some stuck up noble, but then he was running off. She heard the clang of the bag of coins and she spun around and slowly picked up the bag. Opening it she stared at the contents. No, she couldn't take it. "Wait! Drake!" She yelled out and ran out, using her small agile body to push through the crowd, following the tall head that was Drake.

Pushing her way to him she grabbed hold of his sleeve and looked up at him, pushing her way around she jumped into his path and stood there firm. "You dropped this." She said holding up the bag to him. "I couldn't take it if I wanted to." She said staring up at him the bag held out in front of him. "I'm sorry if I insulted you, I didn't mean to. Really." She said staring up at him, her brown eyes contradicting her bright pink hair.

"Really, I don't need it, I earn my money, I don't take it." She said staring at him the bag still held in front of her. "I don't mean to be rude, but I get so used to people pushing me around, that I thought you wanted to push me around too." She said looking up at him, hoping he believed her. But she could understand if he didn't. Simply because she was a street performer, a rat, lower then the dirt beneath most people's feet, but she didn't care. She wanted him to believe her, because he had been nothing but kind to her, and she was being rude, very very rude, and she felt sorry for it.

Drake heard Lizzie's voice calling after him to wait. He didn't even pause, though his eyes closed and he gave a lonely sigh as he continued to walk on. When they opened again, they were his normal green, not angry or frustrated, just lonely. She probably just wanted to return the money he'd dropped was all, and then she'd be gone again. Like all of his friends, he would talk to her, and then she would be gone again. And so he kept walking, not interested in having his money back... He'd dropped the pouch for a reason. He didn't need the money.

However, then Drake felt a tug on his sleeve, and then Lizzie was right there in front of him, barring his path. She was trying to give him his money back, like he'd thought... Then, she said that she really didn't need it, she earned it, didn't take it. She was sorry if she had insulted him, and that she'd expected him to push her around simply because other people always did. Drake had stopped walking now, and he said, "No... You didn't insult me, not really. I mean... I felt slightly hurt, but mostly... Just lonely. All of my friends I meet... I leave them behind. I don't know, I only talked to you for a little bit, but it reminded me of how lonely I felt..."

He then shook his head. "And if people push you around all the time... That's just wrong. It's disgusting how so many people think that they're better than others, without even knowing anything about the other person at all. Just social class, or wealth, or something..." He trailed off, then shook his head once more. Then he remembered again what she'd said about earning money, not taking it. He said slowly, "Lizzie... Even if you don't want to take money, are you sure you can't just... Accept a gift? From someone who really doesn't need or want the money for themselves...:

Drake then chuckled slightly, "And who's to say you didn't earn it anyway? I heard you singing back there. Regardless, if you don't accept the money, it will either end up either not being used at all or just given away anyway. I have no need for it, when I wander through the wilderness I'm a hunter, I don't need extra food with me if there's wildlife around." He then finished softly, "I dunno... Just that I don't really have any desire for the money either, there's no need."

Drake then chuckled weakly again. "And I don't have nay idea what I'm going on about or why anymore... Heh. I always tend to end up feeling slightly awkward once I talk, I feel like I must have somehow said something wrong, or just plain gone on too long, or maybe I ended up going on a subject without know why..." He sighed again, and waited for some kind of response from the girl. Hopefully she wouldn't just be utterly bewildered by his going on and on and on... He felt kind of that way, and he was the one that had been talking!

Zinchi Zero

Zinchi was just strolling through the area at the time, nothing really exciting going on. Though he heard the song from earlier and it drew his attention to the crowd of people that were gathering. He watched her sing a little earlier, it was a nice song. Though what was more beautiful than her voice was her luxurious pink hair. It stuck out like a sore thumb against the rest of the features, but that was one of the things that made it beautiful to him. Zinchi had a peculiar taste in women.

They had to have at the very minimum one of a few things that he enjoyed in a woman. They either had to have a pretty face that was a pleasure to look at, a voice that soothed his heart and his always busy mind. Or maybe the intelligence that made a great personality, and someone that he could have an in depth conversation with; but in this case, it was something unique about the woman that stuck out to him. And that something unique was the pink hair.

When the act ended, there was an oddly clothed man who had already engaged in somewhat of a conversation with the girl. Though because of all of the people talking, he could not hear exactly what they were saying, so instead he let what he saw give him the basic gist of what's going on. The man was apparently trying to reward her, or offer a gift of sorts. But the young girl was too innocent to accept it!

Perfect..he could begin to pull her away from the man, and toward him. He pointed upward with one hand, the palm facing him. His pointer finger pointed upward, and the bag of money quickly rose out of her hand, and a few feet into the air.

"Well, I mean if you two don't want it.." He made the finger curl toward himself, and the bag zoomed toward him. "Then I'm sure I can find some use for it!"

He smiled softly, he had no intentions of stealing the money. It was all just a ploy to bring her in. The bag and the two marbles orbited around his head now, as he dropped his hand. He waited for the girl and the man to respond, but he kept his eyes fixated on the girl.

Lizzie stared at Drake for a long moment as he talked, letting him talk. "Don't worry about me Mr. Aurelis!" She stared at him for a long moment as he talked. Suddenly that little bag of gold flew out of her hand. She jumped and spun around, her brown eyes latching onto a man who had the bag.. floating around his head. She gaped for a moment before glancing at Drake and then marched forward. "Excuse me.." she said hearing him say something about them not using it he'd take it. "That wasn't very nice." She said her hand fingering the whip placed around her waist that was easily accessible to her.

She held out her other hand to him though, hoping she wouldn't have to pull out her whip and try to use some mad skills with it. Even though her mad skills were being able to flip it in the air and make a cracking noise, it was a start! But he seemed to be laughing at her. She stood her ground, her hand on the whip handle before letting it drop her other hand still held out for the bag. "It's his money, I think he would like it back." She said softly hoping he hadn't heard the conversation. Though what he had said made her think he had.

Staring up at him she felt her eyes lock on his and her stomach did a backflip. Man he was nice looking. She immediately let her hand drop. "I mean, you know." She said staring at him her eyes locked. Lets see, he seemed to be the type of guy who would want innocence maybe.. so she tried it out, her voice got softer, a bit higher. "It would be very nice if you gave him his money back, I don't need it, but I do need to be getting back up to my performance spot." She said watching him carefully. She hoped he would stop her. It was all part of the plan.

She held out her hand again almost hoping he wouldn't hand it back, just so she could keep being here next to him. "What a HUNK! He is so gorgeous! Look at those eyes! His face is just beautiful, his whole body is amazing!" Her mind was spinning with compliments that never made it past her lips. "Why can't EVERY guy be this awesome looking? Why can't I find a guy like this EVERYDAY to meet?!" She smiled up at him. "I'm sorry, I was rude, I'm Lizzie Sommers." She said bowing her head to him, pulling on the edges of her short skirt to curtsy to him. She may not be well off but she knew some manners. And he sure looked like one who would pay attention to that.

Drake heard Lizzie say not to worry about her... And then suddenly, he noticed that the bag of money was moving through the air. "Wha...?" he said, confused. He then looked toward where it had headed, and saw a man standing there with it... Floating around his head. Of course... Drake thought to himself. Things could never just be exciting or anything, they had to be utterly insane... Either that or boring... Well, sometimes things could be peaceful and not boring, but when that happened the insanity went up several notches later.

Anyway, back to reality... The guy said something about that if neither of them wanted the money then he could probably find a use for it. Drake felt a sharp flicker of annoyance that made his eyes flash golden for just an instant. He found it annoying when people thought they could just take things without being offered... Regardless of that he didn't really want the money, simply having someone take it from him was extremely annoying.

Then Lizzie started telling the man that he should give the money back... Then she said that she should probably get back to her performance spot. Drake looked at the man and said, sounding annoyed "You know, suddenly coming in and taking things is rather annoying even when said thing you're taking really isn't needed. And I have to wonder what you're trying to do just standing there with it..." Most thieves either were more stealthy about stuff like this or they ran really fast... Few of them simply stood there waiting for a response. Actually, he didn't think he'd ever seen someone act like this guy...

Excellent, he caught the attention of the pink haired beauty. Oh, and she was feisty too. He saw her with the whip in her hand, and it made him giggle a little bit more. Oh, was the girl going to whip him now? He thought this to himself, looking at her. She was a cutie, oh he had three choices now. Chase, Freya, or this new girl? He was preparing to say something nice to her, but that was when the awkward looking man spoke to him. He examined the man quickly, determining if he could be a possible threat or not.

Hmm..swords, rather muscular body structure, a fierce look in his eyes, this guy may have the intent on fighting Zinchi. He doubted the poor girl would allow that, however, because shortly after they made eye contact, her thoughts were racing through his head as well. He had her mostly captured for now, and he seemed to hardly be paying attention to the man with the magically changing eyes. Before the girl could break eye contact with him, he reached out for her with one hand, beginning to speak to her.

"Lizzie? Short for Elizabeth?" He kept his smile visible, and slowly raised an eyebrow. "I like that. How about you come here, so I can tell you my name? I only want you to keep it, since you were generous enough to tell me yours."

Lizzie glanced back at Drake, before slowly walking forward to stare at the man. "Will you give him his gold back?" She asked completely breathless. Wow, he was gorgeous! Absolutely stunning! Look at that frame! He was.. beautiful. His smile, oh that smile! She walked forward instantly, not afraid of him now. He was.. there were no words.

He was talking to her, oh that voice! How did he know her full name? Oh that didn't matter Lizzie was only short for like, one thing. Elizabeth, and that was her name. She nodded weakly, walking closer. His name! Oh if only she knew, but he was offering to tell her. She quickened her pace and stood, her whip completely forgotten, right in front of him. Oh wow, he even SMELLED good! She inhaled sharply through her nose, taking in his scent.

"Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! He is.. absolutely amazing, his voice is like velvet, his body a mountain. His eyes, oh how they shine, I could just drink them in all day! Her mind rang out as though she was shouting it. Trying to yell it but being unable to, her mouth shut completely. Oh how she yearned for his name. "Yes, my name is Elizabeth." She whispered completely taken, her heart hammering, her knees weak. Was this love at first site? She'd be damned if it wasn't!

Zinchi Zero

His smile widened a bit as she walked over to him. The pouch and the two marbles continued to float around his head, slowly orbiting like planets around the sun. Her question lacked the strength of a typical demand from another, especially when concerning money. It made him want to laugh a little at her, she was truly a cute girl, who seemed rather innocent to him, at least. He put his hands on his hips and the pouch of gold flew back toward Drake. That should keep him away while he works his magic, haha!

He hadn't anymore use for it, for it wasn't the gold itself he was after, it was the girl. And she was already in his grasp. She was about 5 feet from him when he bent down to look her into her eyes. He examined them a little as her thoughts ran through his head again, and it made him smile with his teeth to her. The sparkle from the light reflected off of it and hit her square in the face.

"My name, it is Zinchi Zero." His hand reached up to hold her face, his fingertips caressing it ever so gently. "Your name..it is very elegant. It sounds like the name of the star of a great play; or what an artist would name his masterpiece."

Lizzie stared at him transfixed. What was he? She couldn't even flirt properly. She was completely speechless as the money flew back to Drake, her purpose done she should have turned on the spot, but she was so taken by those eyes, that face. Then her face was being held in her hands and she could have swooned. But she was stronger then that! She had ALWAYS been stronger then one to faint over a guy. But.. THIS guy! He was so.. beautiful. His hands touched her face gently and sent tingles down her spine. She stared at him speechlessly.

He thought her name was beautiful. Like a play or a work of art. How did he know that she liked art? He must have seen her perform earlier! She felt her heart skip a few vital heart beats and was afraid she was going to have a heart attack, instead her heart just sped up, like it was making up for the loss of a heart beat.

"So.. amazing, he knows she likes art, he likes it to! What kind of saint is he? Is he some sort of angel from heaven? Am I dead? Did I die back there talking to Drake? Or maybe I fell, or someone shot me when I stole the bread." Her mind was whizzing out of control as she felt his fingertip brush against her cheek and she momentarily closed her eyes her lips parting slightly as she looked up at him.

"You think so?" She whispered staring into his eyes. Those gorgeous, deep, bright blue eyes that seemed to suck her in. She could have lost her self standing there, if someone didn't hit her in the arm as they passed. She stumbled breaking eye contact with him for a moment almost falling over, her head falling from his grasp. "Ouch." she muttered. But then she realized what she had said. Ouch? That meant it wasn't a dream! And she wasn't dead!! This was real! Oh wowwee!

Drake watched as the two talked to each other, his face gradually going from "annoyed" to "What the heck? Un-freaking-believable..." as Zinchi seemed to be flirting and Lizzie seemed to be falling for it. Completely. Drake caught the money when Zinchi threw it back to him. He then realized that Zinchi probably hadn't been after the money in the first place and would have rolled his eyes if his facial expression hadn't already shown exasperation beyond eye-rolling level. Great... I'm not the victim of a thief, I'm just a tool for a flirt and Lizzie's the real target...

Drake said dryly, "Well, it doesn't look like I'm needed here. I guess I'll leave you two alone, I hope you'll be very happy together." His voice was dripping with sarcasm at that last part, and the palm of his right hand was firmly planted into his forehead as he shook his head and began walking away. However, as he walked, he heard from behind him Lizzie's voice, saying "Ouch!" Drake turned around again and glanced back at her, taking his hand away from his face. She looked fine, so he turned back around and resumed walking off, still shaking his head.

Zinchi Zero

She may have usually been much stronger than to fall for a guy, it's very believable. But that's cause she always ran into guys..like Drake, at least that's what he thought. Her thoughts ran through his head once more, and he seemed to nod in sync with what she was thinking, agreeing with every thought that concerned him. He enjoyed playing with people, giving them the hint that he could read their minds...or some of their minds, at least. One hand continued to hold her face, with his thumb moving toward the corner of her lips.

"I would never lie to someone so amazing."

It was then that the other man thought something of Zinchi. A flirt, eh? And now he was going to walk away! How boring, he at least thought he'd have some competition. But, he'd take a quick victory, in his mind, at least. As far as he was concerned, the man did not stand a chance when paired up to Zinchi anyway. So he figured he'd telepathically gloat against Drake.

"Haha, I should be Zinchi: One and you should be Drake: Zero." He probably should have thought of something a bit better, but oh well. The fact that he spoke directly into his mind should be enough to keep him around a bit longer.

Lizzie stared at Zinchi for a long moment. She had barely even registered that Drake was walking away. And she didn't see him turn back when she said ow. It was like he didn't exist, nothing did. He called her amazing!! Butterflies erupted in her stomach at the compliment and her cheeks went pink. But she noticed something odd. He was nodding, and smiling. Like he was agreeing with something, even though she hadn't said anything.

"That's a little creepy, but... He is just so gorgeous! What does he see in someone so small and ordinary like me? I mean, besides my hair being naturally pink there is nothing exciting about me, oh well unless you consider me being a performer. I don't know why he'd even glance at me! Does he think I'm anything more then a performer?" Her mind whizzed as she stared up at him.

Finally managing to break eye contact with him she spun around to look at Drake. "Hey, erm.. are you going?" She asked trying to keep herself from looking at Zinchi. She wasn't sure about the guy that smiled and nodded at her the whole time she was thinking about him. It was all rather confusing to her now and she glanced back up at Zinchi, he still had a hold of her head though, so she couldn't look away very far, and she was mostly looking at Drake from the corner of her eye.

She squared her jaw though and took a step back from Zinchi. "I thank you for giving my friend back his money." She said softly and her eyes strayed up to his, getting stuck there once more. How could ANYONE have such beautiful eyes?

...What was that?! Drake could have lived with the obnoxious taunt, though really it was enough to really bring his feeling of annoyance to a whole new level, but... Telepathy. He had spoken through rather obvious telepathy. That was actually slightly startling... Even though it was unusual, it was hardly outright unbelievable when Drake thought about it, he himself could transform into a dragon, and in that form, he was telepathic himself...

Though not a mind reader, which Drake had a slight suspicion of Zinchi being now after that particular taunt... Though really Drake didn't care much, apart from that he thought the whole situation was ridiculous and annoying. Seriously, pretending to steal money just to get a girl's attention?

Drake also heard Lizzie asking if he was going to leave as he was about to turn around. Drake said to her, "I was, but I... Decided not to just yet." Drake then looked directly at Zinchi and tried thinking at him, So... You're telepathic. What else? And is there any point to your actions other than just going after Lizzie? Or maybe you're just deliberately annoying, which seems quite possible at this point... Even Drake's thoughts were dripping with sarcasm at this point really. Well... At least he wasn't precisely bored anymore, though being really, really annoyed wasn't all that much better.

Zinchi Zero

She was just a performer with pink hair to herself, but to him she was a bit more. She was the only girl, let alone performer, with pink hair. That was what was unique to him, and that was what he had to have. He just had to have her on his list of women that he could spend some..quality time with every now and again. He watched her turn back to speak to Drake, his eye wandering just a little to the awkward man that just turned around. It was then that the man actually thought something back to Zinchi.

It was not like telepathy, the thoughts were not that strong. They weren't as concentrated as when someone used telepathy. He could just hear them from Drake because of his own mental strength. He let his smile widen, hiding the perfect whiteness that was his teeth and he looked at Drake. The perfect shine was only for females. "Haha, someone doesn't seem too happy. If you want her, come take her from me..like I took her from you."

He was just a competitive spirit, however, Drake might have took it as if he took a friend from Drake. By the time Lizzie tuned back around, Zinchi was looking down to look in her eyes once again, she stepped back, but that didn't hide her true feelings for him. His other hand reached up, the fingertips running through her hair, from the top all the way down to the ends.

"Of course, it was the least I could do to see such a beautiful smile." He was referring to hers of course, even though his eyes never broke contact with hers. "Y'know, even performers need a break. Let me take you to a nearby tavern, perhaps get you a bite to eat and something to drink?"

Lizzie felt her face go beat red as he talked to her. Beautiful smile. She had to admit this guy was good. She was the type to flirt more then normal, but he had her stumped. How could she compete with that? She felt the blush slowly disappear but come back right away when he offered to take her for some food. Her mind went into a frenzy of activity.

"To go or not to go, If I go I get fed and that could keep my going for a day at least! But if I decline his offer, then he might think I don't like him. And oh I like him a lot! I should accept it, not only do I get to spend more time with him, but I get food enough ot last me for a long time!

"I would love to go to a tavern with you." She said blushing. It wasn't everyday she was asked to dinner by a beautiful man. "I don't have much money.. well I do kind of, but I like to save things in case I need it later." She said blushing and looking away from him. She turned her eyes to his again and fell into them HARD. She smiled slightly and pushed her hair out of her face so as to see him better.

"Where... where would you like to go?" She asked her eyes fixed on his. No matter how much she looked at them it was like she hadn't noticed something about them. The shade of the color, the threads of the color that worked through the eyes, the way they shined, everything about them came to her one at a time, she was excited to be able to spend more time staring into those eyes.

"I'm afraid I don't know many places around here, I'm only here for a few days and then I'll probably be onto the next town." She said taking a deep breath as she tore her eyes away from his. It was dangerous to look into his eyes when she realized how much it took her breath away, almost to the point of forgetting to breath. She smiled slightly and let her hair fall into her face to hide her red cheeks.

"This is to good to be true! He's actually going to take me to get some food! Play it cool Lizzie! He's to hot for you anyway! He probably has a girlfriend and he's only talking to you because she's off somewhere, but he's so amazing! I just hope he likes me for me! That would be great!

Drake was beginning to get just plain ticked off as the guy spoke again. His eyes went back to flaming golden, soon he'd be having difficulty preventing his fist from going straight toward Zinchi's face... It was already somewhat tempting, but Drake had more restraint than that. What was with this guy? Drake was wondering again if he was just deliberately annoying...

And Lizzie was still falling for him. Drake wasn't really jealous or anything, but he found Zinchi incredibly annoying beyond belief... Drake realized something now. If Zinchi was the type of guy that would just randomly come and try to pick up a girl on the street... He was probably just planning on stringing her along either way... Although, Lizzie was saying that she'd probably leave town soon anyway, but...

Drake wasn't sure what to do. On the one hand, he found Zinchi so incredibly annoying that he really just wanted to get away... And on the other hand, Drake... Well, he didn't want to go off and be completely alone again, not yet. Especially not leaving Lizzie alone with Zinchi. Drake personally thought that a guy who came up to girls they didn't even know and took hold of bags of money to freaking FLIRT probably couldn't be trusted... His having gave the money back was beside the point and somewhat irrelevant.

Drake wasn't sure what he could do... He really wasn't sure about leaving Lizzie with this creep, but also had no idea what he could possibly do... Most likely he'd only make himself look ridiculous. He could imagine if he suddenly burst out "This guy is obviously only interrupted just to flirt with you. Oh, and he's also telepathic and a mind reader." Yeah, that probably wouldn't be a good idea... Drake really had no idea what he was supposed to do. He wasn't even remotely interested in doing something like out-flirting Zinchi, for one, he would fail miserably, and for two, even if he actually succeeded (which he wouldn't) he'd feel utterly ridiculous...

After a moment of standing there, unsure of what to do, Drake decided that it couldn't do much that much harm. After all, even if he ended up seeming ridiculous, it was possible that he might not meet either of them again... He said, "Lizzie, I don't think you should trust him. He obviously took the money just to get your attention, even if he gave it back. Which seems odd since neither of us seem to know him... Oh, and if he says anything that seems like he must be reading your mind, he is. He keeps making stupid taunts to me using telepathy, and has obviously been reading my mind somehow as well...."

Drake shrugged. "If you don't believe me, oh well. It probably sounds insane... Though if you think about it, he clearly has telekinesis from how he just made the bag float through the air, why not other psychic abilities?" He then sighed. "Whatever... I'm not interested in staying and listening to him taunt, and if you're so caught up with him... Maybe I'll see you again some time, goodbye." Drake turned around began walking away again, he was not going to play some stupid game with that flirt... He hoped that Lizzie would be okay, but he couldn't stand to stay around here.

Zinchi Zero

It was good that the cute pink haired girl wanted to go with him, then he could have her all to himself. Most of her thoughts were very audible to him, to say the least, and it made him ponder if she would eventually consider him her boyfriend. However, not even he thought that far into the situation at hand. She stated she did not have any money or know of any good taverns they could go to. That's fine, cause Zinchi had a few places in mind already.

However, before he could speak, the strange man from before decided that it was time for him to speak again. What a great surprise! The man has accepted that he would not win this battle, but instead, he would try to take Zinchi with him. Drake only even assumed half of it, it's not like he knew everything that Zinchi could do. But one thing was for sure, he was happy when Drake walked the other way.

Before Lizzie could look back at him, he kept his eyes fixated on her face, and using a telepathic voice that sounded just like hers, imitating her thoughts and making her think something that she might not have been thinking, he said the following, "Oh what does he know? He's probably just jealous! He doesn't know anything!"
