Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members.

Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity.

But how long will that peace last?

Just a normal day...Pffft; (Freya LaShale)

Zinchi Zero

It was a normal day, the sun was out and it warmed the general area. There were also many people about, and some kids were playing on the sidewalk with some time of ball. Zinchi noticed them as he was strolling down the sidewalk. The sun made his chains shine ever so brightly. Many thoughts about them rushed into his head from the few people that looked at them. Some were admiring, some did not like them as much. Luckily, no one was considering trying to take them.

But what he got more mental inquiry's about was the floating marbles around him, but he was used to this as well, maybe this thought even more than the one's talking about his chains. One of the kids accidentally knocked the ball through the air, and toward Zinchi. He simply looked at the ball as it came toward him, and it stopped in front of his face and floated their. The little kids all stopped what they were doing and stared up at the ball floating in the air.

Zinchi's head tilted a little to the side and he laughed as the ball dropped to the ground. He tapped it with his foot, and it rolled across the ground back toward them. When one of them picked it up, he gave them his signature sparkle smile, and waved to them as he walked away.

"Remember, be more careful next time! Some adults are mean and will try to take your ball."

"Mother ****ing sun!" cursed the red-head loudly upon slamming the exit of the pub open. This was by far the name of the pain of the jaws of the dog that bit. Everything was annoying loud, annoyingly bright, and annoyingly... annoying!

When her eyes had begun to adjust, she was eventually able to see moving figures against the garish light. Upon glancing down at one, she noticed she nearly tripped right over a small child who, in the shock of her loud, obnoxious cursing, was staring up at her wide-eyed."

"****ing?" the child blinked.

Freya stared down at the lad, a very unamused expression painted across her sensual features, a dark brow coming to a peak on her forehead. "Yes, ****ing. Learn sumpthin' new every day, huh? Go tell yer parents what you learned today, and while yer at it, make sure to practice saying it on the way home. SCAT!" with the flat sole of her boot, she nudged him, not enough to cause any harm, but certainly to get him to get the picture. She hated children... possibly because she envied their innocence and naivety. Disgusting.

Her moves as she walked through the square were less than fluid, more like a romping ogre in grace. Surely she was not a dainty woman, not one for flowers and tea or knitting by the looks of it. Her exterior beauty remained nonequivalent, but at the moment she was reeking of an almost obnoxious gruffness.

Her chest was covered by an immodest menagerie of obsidian bandages. There bandages ended and began again along her arms, dipping down into a pair of thick deerskin gauntlets. Her pants were made of the same material, tight and tattered, then once more stitched back together to retain some public decency. A pair of shin-high boots completed the outfit. Today, she truly looked the part of her occupation, or another equally as shady.

Light. Such a bother. She was by far more of a night person. Freya could never open her eyes fully beneath the sun, always squinting through the discomfort of having her retina burned from her sockets. Quickly, she moved to find shade, taking shelter beneath the hitching post where she'd left Fledge. The bandit began to untie the beast absently.

He heard someone cursing in the distance..cursing at..the sun? He raised an eyebrow, expecting to see a chick who was as ugly as the language she spoke. But what his eyes rolled upon was something that was completely unexpected. He saw this woman with a rather..err..exceptionally large bosom step out of a pub, and stomp around. That poor child she pushed away looked like he was about to cry.

"Well..at least he'll get to show his mom something new." He said this chuckling, projecting his voice just a little. Maybe she would hear him as she walked over to untie her pet. Though she did seem to calm herself just a little as she approached the creature, it was now time for him to make his approach. He took steps toward him, looking into the reflection of himself a window gave off. He smiled at it, the sparkle was still there. His chains sparkled as well, and his robe had no visible wrinkles.

He fixed up his hair a little, patting it, and he was all ready to go! He strolled toward her, his footsteps just a little above silent. He kept the bucket in left hand, and the two marbles floated at his side. He stopped about 10 feet from her, and he cleared his throat.

"Yeah..that sun can be some B.S. at times, eh?" He did not curse, but he tried to at least match the vulgarity to hint to her that maybe he does use profanity. "But eh..what can you do?" And he hit her with his beautiful signature sparkle smile.

The sentence from across the way had indeed reached her ears, but she'd payed no real attention to it, steadily working to unhitch the knot she'd woven last night. Finally, the reigns fell loose, and as she stepped to the steed's side, she heard footsteps approaching her. Someone was talking to her. Truly, the beauty could not get a moment's rest.

"You can stay the hell away from it," she muttered, unleashing a cloak from Fledge's saddlebag to toss it over her shoulders. As she began to lift the hood, she turned to glance at the fellow that dared speak to a hung-over sex kitten. She noticed his charm, she noticed his handsome features, but the light in her eyes that glimmered upon seeing Razi's face was not present. Charms may work on normal girls with normal tastes, and for a playboy, he may have the great demographic covered, but Freya's interest remained on the physically unique, in the way Razi wore bandages and Bael possessed paper white skin with beautiful scars and imperfections. No, if he had hopes of catching this jungle cat, he would have to use his personality.

"Can I help you?" she asked, brows raising with a flutter of her lashes as her hands fell. The sun was out of her face, which quelled the aggravation slightly, enough not to ignore him at the very least.

Ah, light. That was her problem..the whole thing with the sun being out. She was a night cat, it would seem, so as he saw it, that tampered with her natural emotions just a little. The sparkle smile and appealing get up seemed to have little to no effect on her. He nodded once when she mentioned staying the hell out of the sun, holding his chin, getting a feel for what exactly she was thinking about him..

This was a special girl, not like most of the shallow women he had encountered already. Though that made things a bit more difficult than usual, he couldn't just flash the teeth and the chains and pull her in, he would actually have to demonstrate a bit of his sophistication to her..though for him, he felt there was not quite an opportune time for that just yet.

Based on her over the top, and flat out beautiful appearance, he came to the conclusion that many many guys that might have been dashing and handsome have thrown themselves at her before. That is usually a turn off, so he would not be one of the many losers who seemed desperate. He cleared his throat, and began to speak.

"Ah..if only we could run forever. But, you don't seem like the runner type. You seem like one who wants to face their challenges. I sure hope I'm right." He gave her the comforting smile, and tried to make eye contact with her as he said those words.

"Mm," she confirmed with a skeptical squint before turning back to the horse's saddle. If he was planning on doing something, he better do it fast. She wouldn't keep standing in front of him just for the sake of making a new acquaintance.

As he sought her eyes, they were all the more fleeting, reassuring all ties were tied, all straps buckled before mounting. "Listen, whatever you're selling, I'm not interested," she gave him a curt, brief smile before her foot found the straddle. With a grunt, she pulled herself up and swung the other leg over, situating herself before taking up the reigns.

Freya looked down at the fellow, a shadow cast over her face from the angle of the sun raining down on the hood.

"Now do you have any other business with me before I leave?"

She wasn't thinking much of him at all, neither positive or negative, just a resounding indifference to the random guy who approached her randomly in the street, slightly eager to leave the town at last.

Hah, a salesman? Is that what she was referring to him as? Did he really look like a salesman? Maybe this is not what she meant, but he took it quite literally..and his assumption could lead to the end of this particular ordeal, or start a new beginning. He kept his nerves together, she may notice that unlike the run of the mill guy that comes to talk to her, he did not seem the least bit shy, or intimidated by how beautiful she is or the possible rejection she may give him.

After all, what guy wouldn't be scared to lose his shot a gem like her? He took one step forward, the two marbles that floated around him swirled in a circle around his head once, changing places. That usually happened when he was making great calculations within his head. There was so much that rode on what he said next. The worst thing about it is, she didn't even really think too hard about him or anything. So he could not use his usual advantage to pull her in. But one thing was for sure..he would have to act fast.

Taking another step forward, he decided to hide that confident teethy smile of his, and only give her a smile of the lips.

"Selling? Business?" He brushed himself off, chuckling a little bit, his body swaying to the left. "Honey, you will not find a business man who can touch me, and I can show you that, if you give me the chance." His words rolled right off of his tongue smoothly, and he pronounced them so well. The way he said them did not convey cockiness or arrogance, rather confidence. He hoped that as he said that she would make eye contact with him. His smile turned into a bit of a smirk with his head tilting a little to the side. "The name's Zero. Zinchi Zero."

He may have not been selling a product... but he was certainly selling something. Himself, perhaps. When he replied at last, she chuckled subtly. He'd like to show her something, hm? Get to know her a little bit. Freya's thoughts were pulling away from indifference, and while outwardly she couldn't vocalize her judgments as she felt she had no place in such accusations of people, but the inner workings of her mind were just as arrogant as anyone else's. However, unlike others, it would not come out clearly. It would be a chaotic storm of many things at once, her attention pulled in all directions at the same time akin to a child with attention deficit disorder on speed. These were the things she could not translate into words, but instead they soaked the skin in emotion and carnal instinct. It could almost be intimidating.

"Freya LaShale," she grinned a little bit more, her waist turning to face him as her back bent her forward, matching the level of his head - far shorter than she was accustomed to - while simultaneously giving him a grand view of her cleavage. "Lemmie ask you something, Zinchi..." she purred, a hand slithering out to play with the collar of his robes. "Which would you like to get to know more? My personality? Or the interior lining of my breeches? Hmm?"

It was obvious, she thought. Might as well have been a rhetorical question. Here he comes, bounding across the square, just by the sight of her. He was interested in one thing only right now, and she was seeing right through it, as she could see through much of the same kind of boys. Her mind was beginning to seethe venom while her lips stretched into a cupid's bow, so sweetly, even as her green eyes glinted with deviousness. Never trust the grin of a jungle cat.

That's much better, she actually turned to face him. So, his response was most accurate, she gave him the time of day. His smirk widened a little, and it was natural that his teeth were showing too, but not too teethy, however. The marbles shifted places again as he processed his thoughts and her thoughts as well. Hah..she was 'confident', just like him. He used his mind reading power as his best aid to determine how he goes about reeling her in.. Sure, he had a hook, and it was possibly a lucky one, but it was a nice one.

"Freya LaShale..." He said this calmly, his voice almost sounding like he was singing it.

She randomly bended down to his height. At first he thought she was just that tall, as she did have a long, as opposed to wide figure. But as his eyes wandered down, he saw that it just seemed that way because she was onn the horse. She would find that giving him a grand view of her..features would not make him go ga-ga like the average man would have, he was a well composed and calm spirit.

But damnit! She just refused to make eye contact with him. If only she did that, things would be a lot easier for him. She seemed to be too focused on..trying to make him uneasy, and burst from anxiety or lose control. The sudden physical contact and the purring in her voice showed it, and it was somewhat obvious to him. But did she want him to fall for it?

"You're really good at playing this game.." He said that lowly, putting on his sexy..more appealing voice. "I'm a grown man, not like the little boys you're used to dealing with." He put emphasis on those two words. Maybe that would give her a hint that his hearing can stretch even into her mind. "It takes more than a nice rack to lure me in. There was..something else about you. Maybe you can help me find out?"

"I'm taken," she sighed heavily, sitting back straight on the saddle. Though, she found it odd he was able to respond as if he knew exactly what she'd been thinking about him.

"And while we're on the subject," she turned her head away from him, to stare at the hitching post in front of her as she began to steer Fledge in the direction she intended to take. "You look like a boy, and your arrogant advances make you seem like one as well. I'm not some mindless bimbo. It takes more than a pretty-boy with casual pick-up lines to catch me. It takes something truly unique. It takes a tattered soul and eyes weathered with the sight of death and the injustice of life. It takes a man so unpredictable that I can not know what they are going to do next. As opposed to you, who, I predict, will relentlessly attempt to pick me up until I'm finally out of ear-shot, at which time you will never see me again and pine after me for one or two days as 'the one that got away' until the next girlie catches your attention. Then you'll go after them in the same fashion."

Her head once more turned to look down on him, at last, her eyes making contact, the ferocity behind them of an unamused panther. "You can offer me nothing I haven't seen before, so you do not interest me. Plenty of fish in the sea though, Hun. I'm sure there's a busty blond girl in a tavern somewhere just waiting to be taken advantage of."

The horse began to walk, one foot after the other, as the pair started across the square. However, after having made eye contact, Freya couldn't help but look back once. He had very pretty eyes. Well, pretty eyes for how utterly normal they were at least...

Aah, the life of a hot chick. It didn't take long for her to grow accustomed to turning guys down.

When she said she was taken, he raised an eyebrow at her, as if that was supposed to mean something. Zinchi wasn't the type to care about someone's current relationship, as he was just that sure that he could do whatever they did; just that much better. But she continued to speak, and she..almost called him boring. He processed that very quickly, in almost a millisecond. As soon as she told him that he looked like a boy, and acted like a boy because of his arrogance, he almost tuned out everything that she was saying as he thought hard about what to do.

But then she made eye contact with him. He hadn't the chance to say anything, she was still talking her smack to him. Oh, so that's what it is. She thinks he's the average run of the mill pretty boy with nothing new to offer. Of course, of course. A mildly strong breeze made it's way through the area. He guessed the marbles floating around him did not mean much, she probably didn't notice them, since they were so small. Her and the horse started to turn away, and he wanted to panic. He looked around. "Come on, come on!! Something happen..something.. anything!"

Suddenly, there was a loud cry for help! He looked up, and he saw a painter at the outside of the third floor of one of the buildings, standing on a ladder. He was losing his balance on the ladder because of the wind, and getting ready to fall. Everyone in the area watched, frightened for the poor man who was about to have his life ended. Fate had conspired against him.

It was too late for anyone to pull the mattresses that were laying against the outside wall of the nearby general store. They were too far away from where the man was, about 50ft from Zinchi, and another 40ft from the man. But Zinchi knew that he could save this man..and it would be a perfect time to showcase to the beauty he wasn't so normal after all. His hands reached out for it, the marbles dropping to the floor as he focused all of his mind on it. He grunted rather loudly, trying to get Freya to look at him pull the hay filled mattress with his mind, and over to where the man was. The man jumped off of the ladder, and onto the mattress.

No he wasn't in perfect shape after that fall, but he wasn't dead either. Zinchi wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, the marbles slowly floating back up next to his head as the people in the square all looked at him. He looked at all of them, and gave them the thumbs up and the signature smile with the teeth that sparkled in the sunlight.

"And the day was saved?" He shrugged, his charisma was just that great. His shrug showed how nonchalant he was about it, and a few people in the area chuckled at him, while some made their way over to help the man. But he didn't care if they found humor or not, he only cared if Freya did.
