Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members.

Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity.

But how long will that peace last?

Chase sat cross legged in the middle of a seemingly plain valley, there were hoof prints all around her, and the left over burnt wood of old fires. But the inhabitants of this valley seemed to have disappeared. Chase stared around her for a long time. She had managed to find the old valley again, but her suspicions had been correct, they had moved so she couldn't come back. She could spend her entire life looking for them and she never would. She looked around her and then stood up wiping her eyes. It was a cute little valley, and by the looks of all the worn paths and hoof marks, had once been heavily populated by very small hoofed creatures, Fauns to be exactly.

Sniffing she looked around for a long moment her short hair blowing in the breeze. She was a very pretty girl, much to skinny for her height, short brown hair held up by two yellow ribbons, and wearing male pants with a pink strap of cloth across her chest for a shirt, simply because she didn't have enough money to get some real clothing. Or even a real shirt.

She had once been a Faun, only to discover that she was actually a shape shifter, and had been born to a shape shifter. She knew this because of the dream she had at night, first of slogging through sand, and then turning into her mother, and the delivery of her to the Fauns. Every night she had the same dream, and would wake with a start as the deer bound off into the woods, leaving her in the clearing with those happy go lucky fauns.

Sighing she shook her head and shivered, it was a chilly day and she needed to get under cover. But she couldn't bring herself to leave the valley she had once lived her life in. So she stood there, a few tears trickling down her face as she stood up from the spot her old tent had rested and wiped her eyes on her wrist, staring around her sadly.

He smiled very widely as he traveled through the forest. It was such a pleasant forest to be in, maybe one of the prettiest forests he had the pleasure to travel to. The trees were nice and tall, and oh so lush! They made him feel calm. The sun was shining through the tree tops and down onto him. It reflected off of his necklaces, and they were especially bright, especially with the polish he regularly put on them.

His hair was moving through the breeze at the sides of his face, it seemed to also shimmer in the light as did the little jewelry that he wore. But what probably stuck out the most were the two small marbles that floated around him. Most people could not believe their eyes when he walked past him.

He flicked the bangs on his face back, noticing a somewhat attractive girl standing there. But as he got closer, he could see the water works streaming down her face. But that was nothing a pretty smile could not fix. He stepped in front of her, looking down at her. He smiled, showing his teeth, the light reflecting off of them and making them sparkle. He reached down with both hands, holding her face so their eyes could meet. His voice was soft, and pleasant..maybe even a turn on for some.

"It is a nice day..tell me, why are you crying? Forgive me for asking, but it pains me to see such a beautiful face stained with tears."

Chase gasped when suddenly a man was standing in front of her, and he had her face in his hands. She looked up at him surprised, a man had never stood so close to her before in her life. She looked up tears still streaming down her face. "Oh.." She said softly her eyes on his. "I was.. this used to be my home, and my family.. kicked me out and left me to sort of fend on my own." She said unable to move her eyes locked on his. "I came back and they left the valley completely." She said softly hoping he wouldn't notice that the hoof prints around them were extremely small.

The pathways themselves would be hard to travel on if the tents were a normal size, it'd be like placing the tents a few feet apart and going through that everyday. She took a step backward her face falling out of his hands, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. "I'm Chastity Moor." She said sticking her hand out for him to shake looking nervous and a little startled."Why is someone with eyes that beautiful, and so..handsome be doing talking to me? And what's he doing out in the forest anyway?" She thought looking slightly startled. His voice was so calm that she felt the tears stop, and felt just better about it.

Smiling she looked up at him the tears drying up and leaving her eyes shining with the recent crying, and slightly red, but it made her green eyes stand out even more against her pale skin then normal. As she stood there holding out her hand a soft breeze ran through the valley and pushed a strand of hair into her face, which she didn't bother moving for she was still waiting for a handshake.

He listened to her explain herself to him, and he could tell she was a little surprised, and he was quite adapt at reading emotions, especially those from a female. One thing for sure, though, was that he was right about his smile fixing things. She started to cheer up already, with just a simple flash of the teeth. But for now he put those beauties away, they were only for special occasions, like this one.

"Family kicked you to the curb, eh? Yes, that indeed does suck." He nodded to her two times quickly, leaning against a tree on his left shoulder. "But, let's look at the bright side of things. You're alive, you're well, and..you're beautiful." When he said that last optimistic thing to her, he flashed his smile once more, before shaking her hand. "Zinchi Zero's the name, darling. And my eyes pale in comparison to yours."

If his smile did not at the very least cheer her up, he would have been mildly disappointed with himself and may have gone into a mini panic attack. He would have assumed there was something imperfect about his teeth, though he tried his very best to keep them perfect. So, good thing it did. Her thoughts concerning him were very audible to him, they played like a mini tape recorder in his head. It was nothing for him to just answer her conscious questions.

"Well, I am a wandering Fortune Teller. So, walking through forests like these..it's just something I do."

"How did he.." Chase looked shocked when he answered the questions she KNEW she hadn't said aloud. She stared at him for a long moment as he answered her every unconscious question. "Did you just.." She said slowly. But he smiled and she felt a smile tug her lips again, unable to hold it back. She smiled at him slowly, flashing her own pearly whites at him.

He was so... perfect. Everything that came out of his mouth made her smile at him. It was true, but she turned her eyes from him to look at the clearing. Then he called her beautiful and she turned her head to look at him, her hair flipping into her face again as she spun to look at him. Fortune teller... that was why? "Why.. is he talking to me? He is to perfect!" She said staring at him for a long moment her eyes glazed over.

"You're a fortune teller?" She asked staring at him her eyes shining with some more tears that had sprung up in her look at the valley. "Wait, so you can like read my future or something?" She asked looking at him carefully smiling slightly. She looked down and then back up at him. He sure was hot...

She was catching on to his telepathic abilities. That was a plus, she was not stupid, but she seemed a little shy. It was weird for him, since usually girls who were of Chase's level of beauty were used to being approached by all types of different guys, so they would act different. Chase acted as if this was the very first time she was approached by a guy in this fashion. But how could that be..and what was even more funny to him, was that she thought he was perfect.

He surely disagreed with her, he never considered himself perfect. During his studies that was something he learned, that no single person can be perfect. But he always tried to be. "Haha..perfection is only an illusion, pretty one." She then inquired about his supposed occupation, of being a fortune teller. He nodded slowly to her, his eyes slowly closed and reopened to look into hers. The water was reforming in her eyes, he saw it. Maybe it would be best to get her mind off of the valley..somehow.

"Precisely, Chase! Yes, I can take a small peek into something significant that will happen within the near future. When I say near, that means within one month. Guaranteed!" He lowered himself, resting on his knees, his bottom sitting on his own feet. The palms of his hands waited on his knees. "I usually charge, but since I like you, I suppose you can have a free fortune."

Chase stared at this man for a long moment. Again with the mind reading! She was going to have to be much more careful around him. Pretty one, he called her... what was this? "Do all guys act like this? Seriously, no one has ever called me pretty except for that cute little fox guy at the dance, and then... oh no what am I thinking?! Just because his eyes are making my heart flutter.. no! I don't even know what this is! It's scary!" She thought as she smiled and watched him sit down his hands sitting on his knees.

She slowly sat down listening to him talk. I like you he had said. Now what did THAT mean?! She smiled at him slowly knowing he probably had just heard what she had thought and her cheeks went bright pink. "Ok then." She whispered looking at him carefully assuming the same position he was in. "Tell me something significant in the next month.." She said shyly looking at him carefully. Her heart fluttered oddly again and she looked down as though expecting it to turn into a butterfly and fly away. Nothing was there though so she looked back up at him.

Something insignificant..did that mean she had to choose what he told her? She didn't know anything. Of course Chase had never even HEARD of kissing a guy, and didn't know that it was awkward to kiss a guy on the cheek unless you had feelings for them. So she didn't know any questions about romance, she wondered though about getting some better clothes but decided to find out if he wanted to just tell her something random, or if she had to choose.

Her thought interrupted the meditation process. Oh a cute little fox at a dance, eh? So..she does have another guy who takes interest in her. He thought that to himself. It didn't matter to him, he was sure the fox boy had nothing on him. Just the fact that he is a fox boy made him think that the boy most likely did not have proper hygiene. However, Zinchi himself, was clean, and always would be.

When that thought left his mind, the meditation process could finally begin. He inhaled deeply through his nose, holding it for a few seconds, and then exhaled very slowly, out of his mouth. "Chastity..Moor.." He said this as if he was in a trance, and he repeated it a few times, before all became silent for him. All of his other senses were blocked off by his deep meditation. If she did not notice the marbles that floated around him before, she should notice them suddenly hit the ground

The vision started to piece itself together. He saw a figure with six wings in his mind. The same girl that stood in front of him was holding hands with this six winged..human looking person. Who was this? The girl seemed to lead him to believe she interacted with less guys that she actually did. It was a few seconds later when the man with six wings hugged Chase tightly, and Chase hugged him back. The vision ceased, and his eyes slowly opened.

So he had competition, it looked like. There was a bit of dissatisfaction on his face. He had much competition with this girl, and it was a bit of a turn off for him. He stood on his feet, looking to her. "A six winged man..possibly an angel. You will develop a stronger relationship with him." With that, he started to walk away from her. "It was nice meeting you, Chase."

Chase looked confused when suddenly some weird marbles floated around him and dropped to the ground. He said something about an angel. Wait, Shien? Then he was up and leaving. "Wait!" She cried out looking frantic. "What do you mean a stronger relationship? I'm so confused!" She said running to a stop in front of him. She had learned from a friend about all of the dangers of the world, having no clue about them herself. Having never been taught them as a Faun. She didn't know what relationships were. She had never been in love, or had a crush. Like she even knew what those meant.

"Please tell me." She said looking up at him. "I used to be a Faun, if you must know, you see, I found out recently that I am actually a human, well a shape shifter, and I can change into animals and people and stuff." She said staring at him for a long moment. "I don't know basic things about the world like a lot of people do.. for the longest time I didn't know what blood was, or that you could die before you got old. So please, tell me what this stronger relationship is with my friend." She said staring at him.

She felt her heart pounding and she felt all confused and kinda hot. Shien-Zen was her best friend, so was Drake. This guy could be her friend to, if he didn't run off. "Please... I don't even know... what does Relationship mean?" She said feeling her cheeks burn bright red from embarrassment. She hated asking questions like that that she knew sounded stupid, but she had to know.

He extended his hand toward the marbles, almost forgetting them because he was a little upset that this would probably be one girl he could not have. His palm was facing the ground, but he slowly turned it so it was facing the sky. Then he sent his pointer finger pointing upward, and the marbles shot up to his eye level, and toward him. They floated, one at each of his sides, and he dropped his hand.

She began to explain to him how she did not understand feelings like love, or having a crush on anybody. What was most interesting to him was that she was a shapeshifter. He learned about them a little during his studies at the university. This explained why she acted the way she does...she seemed to only feel for someone else based on their looks. At least that's what he thought, being a logical thinker and all, and knowing that she at the very least knew the fox boy was cute.

"A relationship usually refers to the connection two people have with each other. The angel will eventually end up liking you as more than a friend." If she did not ever have a crush, could Zinchi be her first?

Chase stared at him for a long moment. "More then a friend.." She whispered staring at him. "What does that mean?" She whispered staring at him her green eyes sparkling with confusion. She had truthfully and innocently, never heard of things like that. Having a friend who was more then a friend, it was a new concept to her. She had learned of pain, suffering, the ways she could die, she had never asked about this before, and it scared her slightly.

"What does someone do when you like them more then a friend?" She asked looking at him and watching his marbles before turning her eyes on him again. She thought back to all the times she had seen Shien. "I never thought of the fact that anyone could like someone more then just a friend, the parents never told me anything about why they were together, I just thought they were great friends.. They had never really done anything together, that I had seen. What makes love?" She thought knowing he would probably hear it and answer her, it felt so much better and not as awkward saying it aloud. Aloud made her blush, but thinking she just stared at him her eyes wide.

"Please tell me." She whispered staring up at him silently. "Or.. I don't know, I have no idea what's going on!" She said shaking her head unhappily. She looked away for a long moment before looking around the clearing again, staring at the paths.

She seemed determined to keep him around her..maybe he had a chance after all. But the angel..the fox boy..there had to be at least one other guy that was interested in her. He pondered this, wondering if maybe he could sway her to like him more than the others. Being able to see the future had an advantage, he could see things coming, and possibly try to change them. But it would be a daunting task..to take a girl from someone as holy as an angel.

This girl really did not know how love worked, and he was feeling generous enough to share his knowledge with her. His eyes were very wide, and she was staring into his. He had her very interested in what he had to say. He cleared his throat, keeping the strong eye contact between the two. "When you like someone more than a friend, you tend to care about them more, and you want to be around said person more than usual. You also want to learn everything about them. Love also promotes other feelings, such as possesiveness, or jealousy. If you love someone, you may very well become upset if you see them showing the same type of affection toward another."

Chase stared at him soaking in the knowledge he was giving her. So you could feel strongly for someone? Could these feelings possibly make you're heart flutter? Like it was now? Or make you feel weak in the knees, like she did when she was around Shien sometimes. But before she had just been a Faun, and he hadn't liked her like that. Would he understand, now that she was bigger, taller, beautiful, like these men liked to say.

She looked at Zinchi for a long moment. "I see." She said slowly staring up at him. "It's just so confusing, I don't think I've ever had feelings for anyone, but sometimes I feel weak in the knees, or I feel like my heart is fluttering oddly." She said putting her hand on her chest and feeling her heart skip a few beats in response to her feelings towards one Zinchi, who was standing in front of her. She smiled at him carefully and shook her head.

"What I feel for him is odd, I don't really understand it, it makes my heart go all fluttery, and makes my knees go kinda weak, Zinchi.. I don't know, it's something new I never experienced before in my life, and it scares me." She thought and turned her gaze up on his eyes. The feelings in her stomach, in her heart, in her head were all conflicting and it had her confused, very very confused. Shaking her head she took a few steps away from him getting afraid about these feelings she was having.

"What happens when you like someone? How does that person know? How do you tell them? What happens after you get these feelings? She asked begging for knowledge, hoping he would continue to give her answers, he was answering every question she had never gotten an answer about from Drake.

She seemed to take the knowledge that he was spewing to her very well. The psychic heard her thoughts once again. They were a great confidence boost to him, since he now knew that he had a better chance that originally thought. It was all down hill from here. All he had to do was answer her questions correctly, and he would have her as his own...possibly.

Something she's never experienced before? That was just perfect..that meant that he made her feel different from the other guys that she was around, which was what was intended. He watched her take a few steps away from him, all the way until she backed into a tree. He took steps forward, keeping the close distance. The wind blew a little, putting his hair back in front of his face. A flick of the wrist pushed it out of the way and he was beautiful once again.

"How do you know, you say? Well..it's quite easy." He put a fist in front of his mouth, hiding his little laughter. "Well, for starters, your heart may start to flutter, and possibly feel like a butterfly. You may also become...weak in the knees. With a little bit of courage, you can always hint at the person that you have feelings for them, by tossing them compliments. Compliments usually consist of something along the lines of, 'You're hot,' or, 'I like your voice.' Or, 'You have a pretty smile.' If you feel the need, a hug and a kiss will also do the trick." This was really just from his own personal experience.

"Those compliments do not always mean love, but if you like them long enough and they continue to please you, it will eventually become that. Love consists of more than just a sexy smile, a pretty face, and muscular physique. You must also take into consideration their personality. Do you enjoy talking to them? Do they make you smile? With just looks, or with just personality, it is a simple crush; not quite love. However, with due time, appreciation for the currently not present trait of beauty or personality could develop."

He nodded very approvingly, of himself. He felt that he gave her a very good lecture on just how love works. He awaited her response.

Compliments, liking them, weak in the knees, fluttery feelings. She gasped softly as she hit the tree and stared at him the distance closed, standing really close. She was afraid her heart might burst out of her chest. And that wouldn't be good. Staring up at him she felt a gentle wind brush against them, making her hair flutter into her face, his also, a piece flipped into his face and he brushed it aside smoothly. She had no idea what he was thinking, but right now she was to confused to think at all. All that circled through her head were questions.

"Love, mom and dad never spoke of Love, Zinchi is talking about fluttery hearts, weak knees.. She thought of Shien-Zen for a moment. She knew he didn't like her like that, she was a child in his eyes most likely. An angel like him must have lived many years before, and she had been a Faun last they met, in the river, telling her about Drake. She looked up at him her mind still buzzing with questions. "To crush on someone, call them.. hot? What would telling them they are sweaty have to help with anything? Zinchi is saying you tell someone they are hot, what does that mean?"

"Zinchi.." She said voicing her thoughts aloud. "What does it mean when you tell someone they are hot? What would telling someone they are sweaty do to make them like you? How.. do you get someone to look at you like that anyway? I mean.. what if the person you.. like, doesn't like you like that, what do you do?" She asked her mind centered on Shien-Zen. It was odd thinking about him like that. Kisses.. The word rang through her mind. She had seen it once, a couple in a town, they had kissed each other on the lips, for a very long time down a hidden alleyway. She hadn't known what it was then, but she had an idea now. "What is a kiss?" She asked slowly glancing up at him.

"I once saw this guy.. and this girl down an alley, and they like, were pressing their lips together, is that a kiss? It looks kinda unpleasant to me to tell the truth." She said blushing furiously feeling exactly how Shien-Zen must see her as. A child, is that what Zinchi viewed her as too? Simply a child? She glanced around the clearing again, feeling the memory of her mother come back to her. Only this time she was herself, looking up at her mom. She had been beautiful, and she wondered why she had to leave her. Leave her with Fauns, making her feel like a child. She didn't even know what race she was originally anymore. Then she thought of Zinchi. What would he think if he knew she was a shape shifter?

Or did he already know? She looked up at him her hair stirring in the breeze again, her green eyes staring into his. Did he think of her as a child? Did he like her more then a friend? She had really only seen him as a new friend, but he had her backed up against a tree, was that normal human behavior? Backing people up against trees... she shook her head and made to dodge away from the tree, starting to feel uncomfortable.

Oh yes, it was so obvious that she must have some kind of feelings for him at this point. Her motions, the questions she was asking, the very thoughts that would run through her head. They all signified what he was suspecting. But, he did not want to make her feel uncomfortable at any time, this was the closest he would get to her for now. One false move could ruin everything.

Unlike a lot of men, Zinchi is very, very patient, depending on how bad he wants the particular woman in question. Because, he knows for a fact, that there are many others out there just waiting for him to stop by. But for now, he would keep prying his way closer to her heart..perhaps establish something with her.

"To say someone is hot, it's a simple slang term. It means that they're attractive in appearance, but not literally..burning hot, like sweating. If you think someone is hot, but they do not think of you the same way, there are 2 ways to go about it. One is to attempt to make yourself desirable to that person. Find out what they like, and shape yourself...shape yourself to be what they like. Or option two, you just forget about that person and move on to the next."

"A kiss is a form of affection between two people. If done correctly, it can feel very, very pleasant to-" It was then that she dodged away from him. It was clear, he knew his boundaries. Funny how her thoughts conveyed the exact opposite of what she was showing him now. His smile slowly disappeared, and he lowered his head, looking at the ground. He took in a deep breath, and breathed back out a heavy sigh.

"..I..apologize." He bowed quickly to her. "I suppose it would be best if I depart..now."

With that he turned away from her, slowly and calmly making his way from her.

Chase nodded slowly. Hot people weren't just hot in temperature, but good looking? She glanced him over and saw that hey, he was pretty hot. She felt a blush creep onto her face and she she dodged away. Then he was turning away from her. "No wait!" She cried out. "I'm sorry, I was just feeling a little, crowded by the tree is all, please don't go!" She said moving around so that she was walking next to him. "Please." She looked up at him silently her green eyes flashing. She was enjoying talking to him, learning new things about what humans did, it was all very interesting.

Not to mention he was.. her mind ran through her new terms to use. 'Hot'. She flushed bright pink again, unsure where this emotion was coming from but lately it had been happening a lot. "Please don't go, I really like talking to you, I didn't know all of this at all, my friend who taught me stuff about humans.. well he only told me bad stuff, he never told me good!" She said looking up at him pleadingly. "Please don't go." She said softly looking up at him sadly.

She didn't want to lose a new friend she had JUST made. She moved to stand in front of him again, wondering where she had learned that from. But it seemed to work a lot, standing in front of someone made them stop. Because then you were in the way. She smiled up at Zinchi. "Please, I want to talk to you more." She said pleading him. "Pleeasse. Please, we can sit down and talk or something, I'm sorry if I'm annoying you." she said blushing again and looking at her feet. "If you don't want to talk.. that's ok too." She said glancing up at him. "Just tell me that and I'll leave you alone I promise!" She said looking up at him her eyes shining.

Well, that was a new one. The tree was crowding her. She spoke of the tree as if it was a person, or a group of people. There was something not right about this girl. She spoke about humans as if she was not a human herself. It was all starting to make sense now. Her age being past that of childhood; yet not knowing about anything about love or affection, at least not anything that stretched beyond that of friendship. Whatever she was, she was sure learning rather quickly..

And intelligence was something that Zinchi could always appreciate. She thought of him as hot, really...? Then why did she give him that ridiculous excuse of the tree making her feel crowded? Things were starting to look a little bleak for the situation at hand, cause now for all he knew, the girl might not even be human. But she had human qualities and traits, and seemed to experience other human emotions. His vision showed that she CAN show affection to another. She even spoke the same language as him.

But he could not figure out what it was that she could not understand? He was tempted to ask her what race she is, if she is human, but if she is, that would have seemed insulting, right? So really..it was just best to continue to walk away from the situation. He did want to talk to her more, so he did not lie to her and say that he did not. Instead he tried to make his way around her, remaining silent.

Chase watched him as he simply side stepped her. "I'm sorry." She whispered staring at the ground now. What had she done? She had dodged away from him, because he was standing so close. "You were just standing so close I got a little.. uncomfortable." She said slowly and turned to look at him. She looked down and then back up at him. "What does it mean, when I look at you and my heart starts to flutter?" She asked at his back. She had to know. She hated it that she didn't know things. "I mean I look at YOU and it flutters all weird like, and I dunno if I like it." She said looking at his back and taking a few steps toward him.

She could tell he didn't want to talk to her, even though he hadn't said anything. Looking at him again she took a deep breath and fell back a step. "I'm sorry..." Then she realized she had said something that must have unnerved him. She thought back to what she had said. Her friend had taught her stuff about humans she had said. She jumped and looked all flustered. "I'm a human!" She burst out suddenly. And for some reason she knew it was true. Her true race she looked confused at her own realization. But she was human. Of course the form she felt more comfortable in was Faun. It was weird though to know that she was actually like this, this was her.

Taking a deep breath she took a few more steps towards him. "Is that why you don't wanna talk to me now? You thought I wasn't human? I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you think I wasn't, I just lived a very sheltered life." She said which was true, it was all true, just not the whole truth. She didn't mention her shape shifting abilities. "What would he do if he knew I was a shape shifter? Would he hate me? It would be new to know that people don't like Shape Shifters, I didn't even know what they were before.." She thought staring at his back. "But I am Human." She whispered.

She apologized to him as he walked past her, that would not change anything. He still thought the best course of action would be to avoid her. Until she explained to him that when she looks at him, her hearts flutters around inside of her. He stopped, slowly turning to look at her, examining her expression and listening carefully to her words. His mind was very powerful..everything that she said, he processed within it, and used that to make an educated decision on the next course of action.

But that did not just include everything she said, it included some of the things that she thought. But finally, she same out and admitted to him that she was human. She was not capable of lying, for what he knew. She was as nice and as honest as could be, so he took her word for face value. The psychic then took another step toward her, looking into her eyes so that she would understand that what he is about to say is the truth.

"I'll be honest with you, Chastity Moor. That means that you like me, and you have feelings for me." What better time to say it, than now? He was already going to walk away from her anyway, since she was..creeping him out a bit. "Well, yes, that is part of the reason I walked away from you. I didn't know if you were human or not, and if I would've asked and you indeed were human, then I would've looked like a..jackass, of sorts, or sound rude, if you will."

He chuckled as he finished that sentence. "And no, your shapeshifter-ness does not scare me." He pointed upward, his arm bending though, so his finger would be in array with his eye. He twirled it around, and the marbles that floated at his sides moved forward and around his finger. "I am not exactly the most normal either, as you can see."

Chase stared up at him her eyes fearful that he wouldn't like her. But he sounded.. different. He didn't seem really nice, and she could tell he wanted to go away. But she didn't move, standing there staring at him silently. She liked him, that was weird. She hadn't liked someone before. Ever. He knew that she was a shape shifter. That made things easier then. "Well since you know I'm a shape shifter then I'm not afraid to tell you why I'm so different then people." She said grinning at him.

"You see, when I was a baby, my mother left me with a group of Fauns, I shape shifted into one and lived almost my entire life as a Faun, my herd didn't know about death before you're time, pain, or even blood! I have no idea about anything and I'm trying to figure it out!" She said staring up at him. "Every little bit helps in some way, I don't know half the things people know.. and it makes me feel like.. stupid." she said shaking her head not having another word for it. "I feel like a little kid, which is why I freaked out when you came close to me, knowing what I know now.." She said slowly.

"I used to be this tall." She said bending down to about four feet off the ground. "I have goat hooves and horns.. I had never tasted meat, I didn't even know people ate animals.." She said shaking her head and staring at the ground, before looking up at the marbles he was floating around his finger. "I guess people are a lot odder then I ever imagined them to be." She said shaking her head. "But I think you should know, because you're been so nice to me, that I didn't even know I was human until.. I found out my mother was." She said softly.

She glanced up at him through her eyelashes, bent down slightly afraid he would hate her for what she was. Which was something entirely new to her. "I don't get a lot of things, but I'm learning fast and I'm trying hard to learn things I don't know about before!" She said looking up at him her green eyes staring into his light blue eyes.

Ah, now things made even more since. So she did not even know she was human at first, and she thought she was a Faun originally. It was actually a sad story, her mom abandoned her as a child..it sounded like one of those sad plays that he had the privilege of seeing while he was in the university. He did not want to show her that the story was saddening him, cause if he became sad, then she may become sad yet again.

And..it would be his fault for bringing the sadness upon her again. So he kept his soft smile present, and he held her chin again to look into her eyes as he spoke to her. Her eyes and his made complete flawless contact, and he moved her hair from in front of them just to make sure. He seemed to lock her in with him, just by holding her there. He did not look scary or something that one would fear, but he did look like an overseer.

"Chase..if you want to live a joyful and normal life, you must forget about your past. It is over, that life is over, you are not a faun anymore, and those are not your real parents. It is time to move on."

Chase looked down slowly before he had her chin in his hand and she looked up at him her eyes contacting him. Whoa.. Her heart started to pound hard, and she kept her eyes on him drinking in every word he said. "Ok." She whispered and nodded. "Yeah, it is my past.." She said looking up at him her heart still pounding. What was wrong with her?! Her mind started to reel as she stared into his amazingly blue eyes. They were just so.. wow. There was no word for it. He looked so wise, so.. she had no words. It confused her though.

"I.. I do want to live a joyful normal life.." She said after her mind had finally started to process what he had said. She blinked a few times and looked up at him smiling. "Yeah, you're right." She said feeling her chin tingle where he touched her. It was crazy, what was going on?! Her mind reeled but her outside stayed calm, not flickering her confusion and wild debates going on in her head.

"He said I liked him, but what does that mean? What do I do? He already knows that, he told me himself! I'm so confused. What about Shien, but he's not here, and he probably doesn't like me like that anyway. His vision? No, wait, GAH I'm confused!" Was the basic argument in her head at the moment. She smiled at him her green eyes locking his blue and she felt herself moving closer, bridging the small gap left between them. "Of course." She whispered staring into his eyes her mind a whirlwind, in a frenzy of emotion, but she felt oddly emotionless at the same time.

Excellent, very good. He almost literally had her in the palm of his hand. Any resistance that she previously had for him was broken. She listened and nodded, taking in every word that he said to be the truth. Was this right, for him to use his power in this fashion? It wasn't like he was lying to her or anything, he was telling her the truth..telling her ho he really felt. There was no point in walking around being mad at something that was not your fault or something that you could not change.

Even if she did a very good job of hiding her inner emotions, he could for the most part get an idea of what was going through her mind. She was still confused at what exactly her next choice of action should be, even though her body language showed that she knew what to do. Her lips and his own were already marginally close to each other, so he allowed his lips to press against hers.

But as he did, his hand slowly lost it's grip on her chin, and his eyes began to close. He did not want to make her kiss him if she did not want to, and within a few seconds, his arm would be at his side.

Chase stared up at him for a long moment and then she gasped softly, his lips were pressed to hers and she had no idea what to do. Was this a kiss? Did she kiss him back? Her eyes closed instinctually and she felt his hand fall away from her chin. Pressing her lips to his was an odd sensation. She had never done it before and could tell that her inexperience came out in huge quantities when all she could do was stand there, her lips pressed to his. But for some odd reason, she felt one hand lift up and slowly rest on his cheek.

She took a breath through her nose and did the only thing she thought she could do. She kissed him. Her heart felt like it was going to explode. She had never done this before, and her heart was hammering with both confusion, shock, and a tad bit of fear. What if she did something wrong? What if she bit him or something and she hurt him. But right now she couldn't think of anything else but... Whoa.

Her other arm moved up to around his shoulder, keeping him close. She didn't know what told her to do that, but it must have been something she had as an instinct for humans. How to kiss? She had no idea, but she just hoped it was the right thing to do. She hoped he wasn't looking for more then a peck or something, cause she had no idea what she was doing. Really kinda waiting for him to make the next move, having already shown him that she wanted to kiss him. Her hands had moved up in a matter of second, and it had been less then twenty from when he first started to kiss her. So it was really only a moment that they had been kissing. So she didn't feel AS awkward.
