Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity.

But how long will that peace last?

Princess of Thieves Posts: 22 Group: Citizen Member #199 Joined: August 7, 2008	Ok so on Terrawin, a site a bunch of us once populated, every winter there were "Awards" issued. These were based on a few different categories, like "Best Overall Female/Male Character", "Best Bar Scene", "Best Spell caster", "Most fun plot" ya know, so on and so forth. Anyway, I think Elly should have awards like this. True, we are a bit smaller then TW, but all that means is we'll have fewer categories. In my opinion this also urged people to write their very best in attempts to earn these titles and the bragging rights they came with. It also added to site unity, and I think so long as we're all mature enough that no one will throw a fit because they didn't win, this would be a good idea. Basically it starts with nominees for the categories, and then those most nominated are put in a pole that all the site gets to vote in (for each category). After this, winners are announced- and all without cheesy world peace speeches! Anyone else interested or should I shut up?

If we do, though, someone will need to volunteer their time for small banner making, as, after September, I doubt I'll have a whole lot of time to post, let alone do graphics and the like. I've thought about doing this before, but I find that there's a distinct lack of OOC discussion from people, which is why I never decided to do it. I don't want to do something and have 4 people vote, when there are 20 active people, you know?

On one forum I'm on, where they do this sort of thing, they just have a little design and then over it what the award was (ie. Senz's was "Most likely to fall down the stairs" lol. That kind of thing. Nothing elaborate. But still, come September, I won't have time to do it. I'll be lucky if I have time to do anything. =_=

Just so people don't have to scroll. And so someone could make and edit a starting post with all the categories? But since I'm too lazy to do that....I'll continue posting here. xP I agree, Longest Post.....is not really a relevant category. They're not necessarily a good, and I know that many of my 1000-2000 word posts are filled with fluff and could be just as good if they were a third of the size. Not to mention that some people just can't post that long... That was an unnecessary ramble. See? Even when I'm not posting, I'm filled with fluff. ANYWAY. MOVING ON. cough Oh, question. Are we doing IC awards, OOC awards (player vs. character) or both? Okay, now moving on. And these can be for both player and character Most Humorous? (player and/or character) Most Likely to Get Stabbed? (for whatever reason....love, hate, etc) Nicest? (in general) Best Character? (I don't know if we want to promote that or not...) Yeah, my suggestions = lame. Shoot me.

Best male and best female seems a common enough one. We can run with that one. XD How about "most likely to get naked"? Or most dysfunctional... ooor... I 'unno. How did this work before? Nominations? So people'll send one of us their nominations and then we hold a poll or whatever.
