A week passed since his encounter with his father. He managed to make an almost complete recovery from the gruesome beating that his father laid upon him. The tips of some of his wings were red with his blood. He never got around to cleaning them off, he was fighting..a lot of people. There was a lowly thief he met in the city previous to this desert, just a lowly thief. He did not have any magical powers, he was nothing supernatural. Just a lowly thief. A lowly human thief, who Shien-Zen unleashed almost his full strength on. Almost every body in his bone was broken, and Shien-Zen left him there..left him there to die on the floor. He was truly changed; and more angry than ever. It showed on his face, every line was there, and it was sharp, and visible. All of them formed the face of rage. His aura actually turned a shade of red, this was not Shien-Zen.. This was Shien-Zen..unleashed! More angry than ever before, cause this is how he was meant to be! This is..who he is. Anger, nothing else! And he did not like it..not one single bit. He had to leave the cute little faun behind, and he had to sever all ties with Valerie and Drake. |

Drake had decided to just fly a bit. He was currently flying over a desert. He had just decided to turn around, after a little while of just seeing endless dunes below him, and feeling the harsh desert sun from above, when he saw something in the distance... A red light. It was on the ground, not the sky this time, but... That... That must have been what had taken Chase away before! He wouldn't let it get away this time! Drake stopped in midair, and started charging to unleash a stream of pure energy. He was more powerful than he used to be as well... After three seconds, he had finished charging, and he unleashed a blast straight toward that accursed red light! The stream of energy Drake released appeared as a bright beam of light, zooming straight toward its target at blinding speed. Drake thought to himself as he unleashed it Take that you vile monster! I won't let you hurt Chase... Or anyone ever again! Edited by Drake Aurelis, Jul 8 2009, 06:33 PM.

There was something flying through the air, his eyes flashed, and he could identify it as..Drake, his dragon friend. This was a perfect time to break the news to him, the perfect time to tell him that they could no longer be friends. But the dragon stopped in mid air, and he could see it charging something. Was the dragon...really about to attack him? His answer was answered quickly as the beam came toward him. Thanks to his angel vision, he could see Drake even charging the beam, and when it shot at him, he was prepared to do something. As if he was not mad enough already, now Drake was attacking him. "You are a fool!" Drake could probably hear Shien-Zen's voice, and Shien-Zen shot upward into the air, narrowly dodging the energy that came toward him. He spiraled through the air, stopping about 20 feet in front of Drake. He pointed at Drake and his aura swirled up around him, it was more visible that it was not completely red. His wings completely spread out behind him, and his eyes were a very bright blue. "You dare to attack me?!" |

Drake was surprised when his target dodged... And even more surprised when he heard the voice of someone he recognized. Shien-Zen?! Drake cried, unable to believe it. He heard the voice of the seraph asking, "You dare to attack me?!" Drake shook his head. No, Shien-Zen, I didn't... Why is your aura red?! Though now he could see that it wasn't completely red. I saw the red light and thought it was the one that took my friend Chase! He felt horrible. Another stupid mistake on his part! He should have gotten a better look at what he was attacking... Shien-Zen, I wouldn't have attacked if I'd known it was you. Unfortunately, Drake had a bad feeling that Shien-Zen wasn't going to listen. Something seemed... Wrong. His aura shouldn't be red, should it? |

Shien-Zen glided backwards, away from the Dragon. The stupid dragon that just attacked him for no reason, at least, as far as Shien-Zen was concerned. It was obvious now that his anger destroyed the judgment that he did have, and his primary concern now was killing Drake..making him pay for that sin, attacking an angel who did nothing to him at all. His arms spread out at his side, his hands open. He began to say his chant. "The soul of this being is stained with the blood of the innocent," slowly he moved his hands up, making a triangle with them in front of his chest. He grinded his teeth against each other, as his arms slowly spread back out at an angle. "Bless me, with the Hands of Sanctity!" |

Drake looked at Shien-Zen, confused. He wasn't answering. He had a really bad feeling... Suddenly, he started speaking. Drake's bad feeling intensified tenfold, and he looked around. There wasn't anyone else there. Shien-Zen?! Wait... What are you doing? What are you talking about...? Drake only ever went after bandits, and if he got into a fight on the street or something, he avoided killing. Well... He supposed it was possible, he'd accidentally injured his training partner when he was still trying to perfect his fighting style... He really hadn't wanted to use real weapons, but noooo, the other guy had insisted... Drake shook his head. He shouldn't get distracted right now. He didn't want to fight Shien-Zen, but it looked like Shien-Zen didn't want to fight. Drake watched Shien-Zen closely, for any sign of actually attacking. He recognized this one he was doing... Shien-Zen had shown him this before... This wasn't looking good. Drake was stronger now, but he wasn't sure how well he could do against Shien-Zen even with his extra strength. |

His hands completely spread out, and he waited for a few moments. It was only a matter of a couple of seconds before he was blessed with the Hands of Sanctity. With those at his disposal, he would easily be able to defeat Drake within a matter of minutes. But, oddly, nothing was happening. The sky was not changing, or anything at all. The heaven's have decided against him! And that made him even MORE angry. No matter, he felt he was strong enough as it is. He traversed that span of 20 ft in a little under a second, raising his left leg, the closer he got. When he was in range, he twisted his waist, raising his left arm as it was bent in front of him, and his right fist was clenched at his waist. His leg extended, he sent his left foot toward the Dragon's side. |

Drake was slightly confused when nothing happened. So... Shien-Zen didn't have absolute control over it, there was a chance of failing? Or... Something? Drake wasn't sure what to do. Suddenly, Shien-Zen charged at him rapidly. Drake was slightly startled... He focused magic power through himself, and shot up as Shien-Zen was about to hit him. Drake wasn't able to dodge completely however. The angel's foot hit Drake's tail, causing a little pain on the hit, and then a sharp sting when he felt the tail whip against him. It wasn't anything that bad though. Drake said to Shien-Zen, Shien-Zen, I don't want to fight! I wouldn't just randomly attack someone standing there, and I certainly wouldn't have attacked you! Someone with some sort of red aura kidnapped my friend, and I thought it was him! Drake didn't want to fight Shien-Zen. He didn't hate the seraph, didn't think he was evil or anything, even if a bit confusing... Drake looked toward Shien-Zen, and waited to see if he'd attack again. If he'd continue to push the fight, then Drake would fight back and try to beat some sense into him, but he wasn't going to attack yet... He prepared himself to try and dodge again. His kick missed, well, not completely. But it did not hit the intended target, it did not hit Drake in his side, and send him flying through the air. He could barely watch Drake evade it, he suddenly moved so fast. This was most unexpected, Drake's speed increased fairly. He shot after him, not moving quite as fast as Drake did, but still at a decent speed. Drake was in the middle of his second sentence at this time, but he completely blocked out what him, or in fact, what anyone was saying to him, 'I have to be angry,' he thought. 'I cannot have friends. I cannot ever be happy.' With one of his hands, he reached up for Drake's tail, in the middle of his plea to not fight. If he successfully grabbed onto the tail, since Drake was only a mere 200 lbs., and he could lift 700 over his head, he would twirl Drake around at a brisk speed, grabbing hold with his second hand. |

Drake was surprised. Shien-Zen was already way too close... He looked like he was reaching for... His tail? Drake decided that it really might not be a good idea to let Shien-Zen grab his tail. He did a magical increase to speed, but just for his tail, whipping it away. That was it. Drake wasn't just going to sit here anymore. Once Drake whipped his tail away, he started moving. He tried zipping by Shien-Zen, just about a foot away from his back, now using his speed boost to go about twice normal max speed, as he shot his claws out to rake Shien-Zen's back as he flew by. You won't listen?! Fine, let me knock some sense into you! His eyes were of course their golden flaming color of anger, though he was mostly just annoyed rather than angry at this point. Again, he missed a chance to do some impressive damage to the dragon. What other emotion could he show for this? It made him upset, it made him angry..like everything does now. He took one of his fists and put it at his side, the expression never changing..his eyes never ceasing to glow. He was determined to hurt Drake as much as possible, determined to kill him. And he could tell that Drake probably was trying to do the same to Shien-Zen, watching him as he swooped down toward him. Yes, Drake's speed was very impressive, he was physically faster than him. But great speed is nothing without great reflexes. Drake made a mistake, flying so close to him, and Shien-Zen decided to see how fast Drake's reflexes was, sending a hard fist forward toward Drake's neck. It interested him..wondering if Drake could react in a fast enough time to do something, flying at full speed, attempting to past Shien-Zen. Since he put so much strength into the punch, about 500 lbs. of force compared to his super lightweight body, and the fact that he was floating in the air and not grounded, if he did miss, he would go forward with it, and just be out of range of Drake's claws. He would turn to face him as well. |

As Drake's claws shot toward Shien-Zen, he suddenly saw Shien-Zen's fist shoot out. He was unable to get out of the way completely, but he boosted his speed to the full three times normal speed in the direction he was already going, so he was able to avoid taking the blow to his neck, which would be bad. Taking it further down was still rather painful however, and Drake felt himself being sent flying away. Drake ended up coughing a couple of times, being hit in the chest by magically enhanced strength hurt even with armored scales! Drake looked toward Shien-Zen, and said, I'm not the one who wants to fight here! I'll stop when you do! Drake then quickly summoned a blade of wind and threw it at Shien-Zen, also sending a quick spurt of flame breath after it. How would Shien-Zen deal with a projectile that had nearly the force and speed of an arrow, slicing a foot across, and was on fire? Drake began flying away from Shien-Zen again, but not at boosted speed, though he'd do another quick burst to the side if he got another attack headed his way. Drake knew better than to continuously use speed boosts, he already felt his energy drained just a bit from the bursts he'd already done. He didn't have infinite energy after all. He could still go on a bit longer, and he wasn't fatigued enough for it to show at all. |

The punch connected, and he narrowly avoided being stabbed through with the claws, which was excellent, very excellent. He most likely would have lost the fight from that very attack, he needed to be more careful when fighting Drake. He may possibly he physically stronger than Drake, but that doesn't mean he can just take hits like that. When Drake seemed to regain control of his flight, he shook his fist a little. The armored scales made his hand tingle. It was almost like punching a tree, or a brick wall. But if what he punched was a brick wall, his fist most likely would have gone through. So, he was mildly impressed with how much stronger Drake had become. That did not mean, however, that it would stop him from attempting to obliterate Drake. He flew toward Drake, one arm completely extended with a closed fist at the end of it. He could see that Drake was attempting to attack him with one of his first moves, ignited with a bit of fire, his Wind Blade. It had not changed from the first time he used it, not at all, so that means that it did not get any stronger. He simply ignited his Holy Aura around him to full strength. With that, he almost flew flawlessly through the Wind Blade, but it did slow him down a tad. It dispersed when it hit his aura. He was more so impressed with himself when the blade did nothing to him, his power increased greatly. To preserve energy, when the attack disintegrated, he lowered the energy his aura drained, but kept it up, just in case another magical attack was coming. He stopped, standing about 10 feet in front of Drake in the air. He pointed to him with one hand. "You are a fool if you think your abilities can damage me." This was his anger talking..Shien-Zen never used to try to get into the head of the oopponent. He liked a clean fight, and it was true that Drake's moves COULD potentially hurt him. The hand he pointed at Drake clenched into a fist, glowing with white light. |

Drake was surprised when Shien-Zen just flew through the flaming wind blade, barely flinching. Then he was slightly more surprised when Shien-Zen stopped without attacking. Of course, if he'd gotten any closer than he was now, Drake would have put on a burst of speed to dodge. Drake shook his head when Shien-Zen said something about being a fool for thinking he could damage him. He personally thought that the seraph was a bit too arrogant, however... Drake replied, though not letting his guard down even once, prepared to dodge another attack at any time, I'm not trying to "damage" you, I'm just trying to get you to freaking stop attacking me! I have no interest in fighting against you or harming you. I told you, the red aura confused me, and I thought you were that strange glowing vampire that had kidnapped Chase! Drake watched Shien-Zen very closely. If Shien-Zen started moving, Drake could zip out of the way quickly. He was still backing up at non-enhanced speed though, he didn't plan on leaving himself any more vulnerable than necessary, even when trying to convince the angel to stop attacking. Drake still was as confused as ever by Shien's actions. Did the angel randomly start fights for the fun of it? Because Drake was almost beginning to wonder... |

The fist that pointed toward Drake continued to glow, except now it began to violently shake as he struggled to keep the charge within it. It was like a dam to a massive waterfall, a massive waterfall of power! It was nonsense that Drake was not trying to damage him, especially after that more than deadly claw attack. Lies, and slander, or that's how he felt, and his expression never changed. First it was the beam attack, then the claws, then that pathetic Wind Blade. And after all of that, he dares to say he was not trying to damage him?! He must have played Shien-Zen for a for a fool, or that's what he thought. Why didn't Drake realize his friend was gone and this was the NEW Shien-Zen, who did not need friends..the new Shien-Zen who did not need emotions, the new Shien-Zen who only needed one thing..anger, and power. Before Drake could get out of range, he raised his left leg, and threw his foot toward Drake's right side. At the same time, he flung the glowing hand forward, aiming it for the left side of Drake. It was aimed at his shoulder, however it could hit something else if he decides to move. |

Drake saw Shien-Zen begin to move again. He zoomed at full boosted speed to the right, trying to get away. Drake wasn't able to avoid it completely. The attack hit his back left foot, right on the claws. The claws would almost certainly pierce Shien-Zen's skin, but Drake was more concerned with the amount of pain he felt! He let out a roar of pain and rage. Drake wasn't going to just sit here and take this! If he had to cause some major pain to Shien-Zen to stop the attacks, so be it! Drake decided that it was time to go all out. Drake took a deep breath, and started unleashing fire! He then focused power through him, for both strength and speed! He whipped around and aimed double-power, triple strength claw attacks at Shien-Zen's back, rapidly clawing as fast as he could. Drake growled, even as his mind spoke in a growling tone, If you won't stop fighting, then maybe pain will snap you out of it! I'm no longer a weakling that can't even take out a bandit without nearly dying! I will fight with all my strength to live another day and protect the innocent, regardless of what some angel who wants to fight everything in sight tries! Drake felt his energy draining, but his rage had been invoked. He would fight until he ran out of energy and could barely move, or this idiot would surrender! He was a whirlwind of raging claws and flame! |

The kick once again did not hit the intended target, and the beam missed as well. Curses, the dragon just refused to take a hit..just refused to die. Even worse, his stupid claws went a little into his foot, causing it to bleed! And it was a good thing that he did not let the aura down completely, cause when Drake started to breathe fire at him, he pushed it back up to full strength to help him with the flames. Sure it was hot, like he was standing in a small oven, just taking the flames. The flames actually attracted to the aura, so now he looked like a big flaming six winged beast. The dragon moved toward his back, he moved so fast. The dragon's speed was faster than even his own, and by the time he actually managed to turn around, there was a claw coming toward his chest. He leaned to the side, and the claw slashed right across his abdomen and some of his chest. Then another came toward his face, and he leaned the other way again. This one was actually a clean dodge, it was apparent that he was not going to get in to attack Drake since he was swinging and clawing like a mad man, there was no point of him staying so close. By the time another strike came toward him he was out of range, and he was thinking maybe Drake would do something else. He adjusted his stance, preparing to defend if he needed to. Things would have been a lot easier if the heaven's sided with him and blessed him. ..But that should have been a clear hint to not be fighting Drake at all. The flames started to fade from his aura as he got out of range, and by the time they faded completely, his aura faded with them. |

Drake felt his first hit connect, and he felt a rush. This was a real fight! Drake somehow was enjoying himself now that he'd got into it. He still didn't want to kill Shien-Zen, but the rush of fighting still felt good. It was not something that he could have put into words very well. Then, Drake felt his next attack miss. What?! Drake cried, incredulous. He couldn't believe it. His next hit, already on its way, missed as well. Drake immediately stopped clawing, and then zoomed forward at full speed and strength, his front right claw out, Drake aiming for his body to rush just to the left of Shien-Zen, and his claw to strike Shien-Zen as he rushed by. Drake felt his energy almost gone... He knew, if this attack didn't end it somehow, then he'd die. Drake didn't want to kill Shien-Zen. But in a choice between him, and this angel who refused to stop fighting no matter what... Drake refused to let himself be killed by this guy. He would probably be torn up with guilt if he killed Shien-Zen, but... He wouldn't let himself be killed instead, he still had people to protect! Drake finally really noticed something that had been nagging at him slightly this whole time. Shien-Zen's wings appeared to be blood red, a more intense color then his aura. But... Not all the way, just spots. Had something happened to Shien-Zen...? Drake remembered Chase saying something about meeting Shien-Zen, and then Shien had been beaten up by his father... Did that somehow have something to do with Shien-Zen's current state...? It didn't matter. This fight was real, as Drake charged toward, and then past the angel at blinding speed. Drake didn't notice if his strike hit as he swung his claw while flying by. He just... He didn't have enough energy. Drake then felt himself falling... Falling... Toward the ground. He thudded into the sand. There was a flash of light, and Drake was in human form. He couldn't fly in dragon form, he could barely move in human form, so exhausted... But he refused to just lay down and die, even now! Drake was kneeling on his right knee, his cape draped over his right shoulder as well. Drake shakily pushed himself up off of the ground, staggering as he drew himself upright. Then he drew both of his swords, and got into a combat stance, shaking as he did so. His longsword held in his right hand resting on his back shoulder, which faced away from the direction he was facing. His left arm held straight out, with the shortsword pointing to the right. Drake was still shaking, he could barely stand. And yet, he was still trying to fight... He spoke, his voice barely a shaky whisper. "I... Can't... Die here... I will... Protect..." And he couldn't speak any more. Drake flinched, barely managing to stand up. But he wouldn't... He wouldn't die here! Even as he shook, could barely stand... He would not fall! |

After making a pretty penny from the acquisition of the desert caravan, the bandit had been making her way back to Soto. Fledge had known what was coming, and had been quite a handful until they'd actually reached the city, knowing full well that turning back then was pointless. She'd cursed him out, called him a pony, and had tried mocking his feebleness, but the horse hadn't been listening to a thing she said. Now, days later, on their return journey, both had been silent, simply trying to barrel through the hot desert, crawling for the first sign of cool water a vegetation. At least it wasn't possible for them to get lost, the woman having lived in the desert for some years before taking to wandering. That, they could bank on. And with nothing on the horizon but more sand, what hung in the sky was very easy to see. The flashes of light had caught her attention first, though it very well could be a mirage. She ignored it for a good five minutes until, upon closer inspection, six wings drew her closer to the scene. This was not a mirage, as when she came closer, the scene, too, drew near. "...Shien?" she'd lifted her arm to the sun and squinted up into the air. It was him alright. She'd never seen him fight before, unable to tell if his appearance now was anything but usual. Gradually, Fledge came to a stop somewhere beneath the aerial pair, just in time to see the green one drop to her level, change forms, and warily pick himself back up. The woman was wrapped in gauze and soft linens to keep cool while also keeping the sun from turning her skin into a likeness of burnt bacon. A tress of disobedient red hair was visible, coming from the wrappings, but other than that, only her striking green eyes could be seen. "Oi..." she passed a glance to the fallen one, shifting on her saddle. "You don't look so good. I'd offer to help, but it seems you've pissed him off, and having gotten here just now, I don't know whether or not you deserve it." She beamed pleasingly beneath the veil that covered the lower half of her face. |

Shien-Zen was already prepared for another attack, mentally and physically. He had been watching Drake with careful eyes. His foot was already damaged, and now his chest was as well. He could tell that Drake was very surprised when Shien-Zen managed to evade the second two swipes, and resisted the fire breath. Shien-Zen had taken some damage as well, but probably not as much as Drake did. And on top of that, he did a very good job hiding that fact. Hiding the fact that he took any damage at all, that is. It was all because he was so angry..forget the pain, forget the heat. He had to kill that stupid dragon, and he had to do it today. He almost wanted to try to form some sort of counter attack, but given Drake's speed, there was no way he could do that. He had to settle for spurting to the side, another clean dodge. But no counter attack or anything, he was simply too fast. Had he been closer he would have definitely swiped Shien-Zen. He turned to Drake's direction, and noticed he was not in the air anymore. In fact, he was falling to the ground. He almost wanted to declare victory, but Drake was still breathing. He watched Drake slowly get up, but by the time he was completely up, Shien-Zen was dropping to the ground, and now standing in front of him. Since he was so angry he did not notice Freya standing there, it was like the only thing he could see was Drake. If Drake was in a crowd of people, he'd rip through that crowd to get to him. He wanted this that badly, and seeing as Drake as obviously depleted of energy, it was time to slay the dragon. He pointed at him, even his smile showed that he was still angry! It was an angry smile..the type you'd see on..a villain. "You were never a match for me in the first place, even with your new spells. And now, it is time for you to die." His body moved just a little above the ground, since his foot was cut. He was now in range of Drake, to be attacked. He kept his eyes on the swords, watching them carefully..knowing he would attack. |

Drake staggered again. He could barely stand. But he refused to fall. He wouldn't... To his last breath, he'd fight for another chance to protect the innocent, and Chase, and Valerie! He would fight against death itself! He would not die... He refused to! He still had so many people to save... Drake heard someone new come, and start speaking. She said something about she'd help but she didn't know if he deserved it. Drake tried to speak, but couldn't. It took everything he had just to stay standing. His left ankle and several of his ribs were broken, he could feel it... But he couldn't... He couldn't fall! And now, Shien-Zen was in front of him. Taunting him! Drake tried to move his swords, to attack... He had to... Stay alive... But he couldn't. Drake dropped to his left knee, his shortsword falling to the sand, both of his hands on his longsword, which dug into the ground. He could barely hold himself up like this... "Why...?" Drake asked. "Why... I only wanted... To protect... Chase... Valerie... I'm sorry..." Drake's eyes turned green, and then they closed. "I won't... See you again..." Then, he slumped down, then letting go of his sword, collapsed forward the rest of the way, his sword still sticking up in the sand directly to his left. He couldn't fall... But... He'd fallen. Everything was over. Drake felt one last whisper escape his lips before he felt darkness overtaking him. "I couldn't... save... anyone..." And then his sight was gone. The darkness overtook him, and everything disappeared as he fell into darkness. Regret... Sorrow... Longing... He was helpless. A chance encounter in the desert, a red light, a desire to keep more people from being taken away, and likely not being as lucky as Chase had been... And everything had been taken away, by an angel with bloodstained wings, and a red aura... |

Hmm. Upon further assessment, this was not the same Seraph she had come to know. This guy was blind, or, more accurately, had a severe case of tunnel vision. Did he even realize what he was doing? Oh, the poor boy seldom did... As usual, she had come to the conclusion that it was time to take matters into her own hands. Raged out, overpowered angel or not, like every challenge, she met this one head-on, unleashing the snake whip from her belt. Cast into the air, it snapped, excited by its use. Her leg swung over the saddle, taking to the air in a bound as the end of the whip darted around and through Shien's legs, taking a hold of his ankle floating above the ground. With the force of her fall, added to her own might, she gave the leash a ripping tug, yanking that foot out from under him, just in time to move him beneath her upon landing into the soft desert sand. One arm held her up at the side of his face. The whip curled along the opposite forearm on its own accord as she pulled the face veil down and planted her full, soft lips onto his in a deep, open-mouthed kiss. Actions always had a tendency to be more effective than words, and this would be a prime example. If this didn't open his eyes and rid him of his apparent tunnel vision, nothing would. Freya could hear the thump of the dragon-man's body several feet from her right side. |

He was sure Drake had enough strength to attack again, and he was prepared for it. He doubted he could swing fast enough to hit him. But before he could do anything, with his peripheral vision, he saw a whip wrapping around his feet. It came just as he finished his sentence, and since he was so focused on Drake and prepping a counter to whatever attack he did, he was unable to react in time against the whip. Before he could turn around to see who exactly did this to him, he was flung up into the air. And he did not do this of choice, this was a forceful fling. It was probably easy for whoever was doing this to him, since his body was light, but still durable and strong. He crashed into the ground, his eyes closing. When he opened them he saw a familiar face over him, leaning down for some reason.. It became obvious to him soon why she was so close..it was for a kiss. Funny, this was his first kiss..ever, really. It felt like magic, like something he'd never experienced before. Better than anything that his power could give him, better than..anything that being angry all the time could give him either. She should notice that when she kissed him, the aura around him vanished very quickly. His eyes softened, and the lines his face made were all starting to smooth out. His angel face returned. He wondered if all kisses would be like this. He looked up at her, not moving from his position on the ground. His face was red with anger before, but now it was red with a bit of embarrassment. He hoped she did not realize it was his first kiss. "..Freya? ..W-why?" Edited by Shien-Zen, Jul 9 2009, 08:49 PM.

It was impossible not to tell if a kiss was someone's first. There were so many intricacies involved. When someone placed a part of themselves upon another, to flow in a pleasurable way, one had to meld with another, to feel their pulse and moving muscles. But no one could ever explain this, it had to happen over time and experience, which is how she knew that, indeed, this had been his first. This little notion made her feel fairly regretful. She should never be the one to steal someone's first kiss, because, more often than not, it was empty. It may be skillful, but there was hardly anything more to it than the theft of some mild pleasure. "To shock you out of that blood rage," her eyes fluttered open, reclining to sit up on top of him. Behind her, Fledge was staring accusingly. Or perhaps he was expecting more to happen. "You weren't yourself, Doll. You should never lose your mind in a battle. There are worse consequences than death for those sort of mistakes." Gradually, she stood and moved off of him, wandering away to examine the fallen body beside the sword. She gave the lump a nudge with her foot, casting a glance over her shoulder to Shein. "What's this guy's story?" |

A small upward curve appeared on his lips when she called him doll. He thought it was a bit funny that she gave him a pet name. It was funny, she could always make things better, one way or another. He learned so much from this woman, more in their few encounters than his many encounters with others. Today would probably be a day where he learned some more. Apparently, her kiss had some magic effect to calm him down, cause he did, indeed, feel a lot more levelheaded than he did a few odd minutes ago. When she got off of him, he started to sit up, watching her walk over to Drake. That's right! He was supposed to be killing Drake..when she asked what his story was, he was reminded of what his father told him. And then he became filled with fear..what would happen if his father found out about this?! "Freya, you must leave." His voice was firm, as he began to rise up to stand. He was not so mad anymore..how could he be, after just getting such a wonderful kiss? "I had a discussion with my..overseer. I am not to have any emotions or any friends. I have two purposes, and those are to be angry, and to punish. So..it pains me to say this, but..we cannot be friends." His head lowered, he did not even want to say that, but he felt that he must. |
