The water dropped from the top and down to the bank. Shien-Zen always seemed to like flowing water. The look of it was pleasing to his eyes, especially after it fell to the bottom. And oh, the sound, of the water falling and hitting the bottom. It was all so pleasant. He landed at the bottom of the waterfall, standing on an open plain between some trees and some bushes. He took in a deep breath, a whiff of the water as it hit the bank and the mist rose into the air. His eyes briefly closed as he folded his arms, his wings relaxing behind him. The aura moved a lot more smoothly. This was a perfect place to practice his martial arts techniques. Everything was so calm and so tranquil, he turned to face the tree. He took a step back, holding his right hand at his side, his eyes closing. How strong was he, really? When he first came here, he was not feeling so strong at all. But now that the heaven's have blessed him so greatly, he feels much more powerful. His right hand clenched into a fist, and his left arm raised upward as he took aim. Stepping forward, pulling his left arm back, he sent his right arm forward and smashed it into the tree. The tree shook for a second as Shien-Zen looked at it. Drium had been resting by the waterfall for a good while now. The sound of the crashing water was comforting and relaxing to him. The demon was perched in one of the trees along the line of the clearing, balanced on a single branch, reclined against the trunk. A satchel of goods was in his lap, his reward for a day of leisure thievery while he played with a large iron horseshoe. He wasn’t sure why he stole the horseshoe, it had no use to him, he had just been completely unable to resist the compulsion to snatch it. While he demon whirled the weighted object around his index, he noticed that something was amiss; the hairs along the back of his neck prickling. He stifled a growl as his eyes and ears suddenly focused on the appearance of the angel who now descended not too far from him. He cursed his luck, unable to fathom why he seemed to be running into people who wanted nothing more but to cause him irritation and trouble recently. At first he figured that he would just try and ignore the angel’s presence, despite the fact that every part of him screamed for him to rip him apart and nap among his entrails. Drium pushed that all aside though and tried very hard to keep his cool, wanting simply to enjoy the scene without interruption. That was working for a little while, until the angel came up and punched the tree he was in. The action caused the demon to rattle with the tree, much to his irritation. He quickly grabbed the branch to steady himself, but by doing so he lost grip on his item. The horseshoe fell from his grasp, dropping through the air to smack the angel in the head. |

He smiled as the tree rattled and shook, thinking it might fall apart. Or shatter into a million glorious pieces! He would be rather proud of himself. Instead, the rattling stopped, and a horseshoe fell toward him. He did not see it, too busy hoping that the tree would fall apart or split in half, or something nice. The horseshoe hit his head, oh the pain! He figured that's what he got for punching the innocent tree. He held his head, his footsteps uncoordinated as he struggled to keep himself on his feet. He stumbled into another tree, and slid against it, onto his bottom. He was actually a little dizzy for a few seconds. If he knew this would happen, he would have never punched that innocent tree. It only took him a few more seconds for the dizziness to leave his eyes. He stood up, brushing himself off, and looking upward at the tree. ..To find the filthy demon from before, sitting in the tree. So it was HIM that dropped the horseshoe! Oh, he would pay, pay dearly for that one. His face twisted up, and he rose into the air, to the same elevation as Drium. He was a bit far from him, since he stumbled all the way against another tree. He took a look around at the area; there was no Valerie, no Drake, and no sign of Andromalius. Perfect... "If you wanted to die..all you had to do was say so!" It was then that he rose even higher into the air, well above the tree tops. His arms spread out completely as he spoke, palms facing the air. "Heaven's, the soul of this demon is stained with the blood of the innocent." His hand slowly moved to form a triangle in front of his chest. "Please, bless me with the Hands of Sanctity." His hands turned into fists as he slowly spread them out to his sides. |

Drium watched as the horseshoe fell on the angel’s head. He didn’t say anything though he did smirk to himself that the angel had caused his own pain. For a moment the demon was under the impression that the angel was just going to pass out underneath the tree he had slumped against. That would have worked out well for him as Drium would have been left to enjoy the scenery. Not only that, he’d likely embarrass the angel by robbing him. The thought made him laugh in his mind. It was then that the angel got up, much to Drium’s annoyance and looked at him. He sucked his teeth, quietly waiting for him to do something. His eyes flicked down to the horseshoe; he wanted it back now and wasn’t sure why. The angel yelled something Drium thought ridiculous, causing him to roll his eyes. With a long sigh he watched as he angel flew up into the sky and said something. He couldn’t help but scoff at the angel’s words; he was such a fool. Instead of doing anything, Drium just sat in his tree unmoving, his head tilted upwards to watch the angel do whatever it was he was attempting. |

It took only a few seconds of him standing there with his arms spread out for the scenery to start to change to look a bit more grim. The world seemed to move faster around both of them, as the sky suddenly got dark from the storm clouds forming above both of them. There was a slight current of wind that blew through the area, rustling the trees and the bushes. Shien-Zen's wings rippled in the wind, his eyes closed as he prepared to receive his blessing. There was a loud roar of thunder that echoed through the area. The sound of it caused the ground to shake just a little. It roared again, the roars actually seemed to be toward Drium. Finally, the impressive show came to a conclusion, as two lightning bolts shot down from above. One for each of his hands, and they then became set with white fire, holy flames. The sky seemed to almost instantly clear, the blue coming back to it, along with the white clouds. Shien-Zen looked at Drium, and he flew toward him, one of his hands clenched into a fist, with that arm extended and pointed toward Drium. The other hand was clenched firmly at his side of his waist, and his wings were glowing with gold. The extended hand was aimed at his forehead, but his other hand glowed with white energy. |

Drium was very unimpressed by the dramatic show provided by the angel and the sky. The roaring thunder only made him roll his eyes again; he wasn’t intimidated in the least. Before the angel could come at him, Drium stood on the branch and looked up at him. His satchel was tied securely to his side before he drew both his daggers and grinned at the angel. The sky then cleared and the angel had hands alight with holy flames. Drium would have been a little anxious about that, but he didn’t see the angel as a threat; he never would. Instead he just prepared himself for whatever charge the angel was going to make towards him. He kept from using any enchantment on his weapons, that could wait for a little bit, when the angel was least expecting it. He was beginning to get excited about this, even though he had originally just wanted to get away from it all. Now though this could prove as a chance to destroy the angel once and for all and that was worth sacrificing a perfectly relaxing day. Shien-Zen started speeding down through the air towards Drium and the demon was ready, crouching and becoming as limber as possible. When his attacker got close and aimed to punch him in the head, Drium jumped straight up and over him. He spun sideways as the angel sped underneath him, his arms extending as he spun to clip the angel’s wings. |

The angel watched as Drium crouched on the tree, preparing to do something that did not include taking the punch to the face. His teeth were showing, he was getting angry..it was obvious that he was going to jump into the air. The crouch, the stance, the situation. If he was in this situation, what would he do. This is a pretty solid attack Shien-Zen made, in his opinion. It is not like Drium could move to the side, and off of the tree. Cause that would put him out of range of attacking Shien-Zen. Based on previous encounters with Drium, he knew that Drium was the aggressive type, and looked for any opportunity to attack. Drium might think he had Shien-Zen with that counter attack, and if Shien-Zen was not such a person who's had experience with dealing with these types of counters from years and years of martial arts practice and having such fluency with it, he might have indeed clipped Shien-Zen's wings. Taking note of the position and situation and everything into mind, his body began to spin. He kept his fist outward, so just in case he was wrong about what Drium planned to do, his fist would still connect to the intended target. Since his back was no longer facing where Drium sliced when he jumped over it, the dagger would slice across his chest, making a nice long slash through. But Drium's damage to Shien-Zen wouldn't go unnoticed. His other hand was glowing the whole time, just in case this would happen. So as the dagger sliced across his chest, he flung the glowing hand forward, shooting airborne Drium in his face with his now more powerful Punishing Light. Regardless of what happened, he would continue flying on his path, his free hand reaching up to hold the wound on his chest. |

The counter attack from the angel had actually been unexpected and due to his current airborne position, there was little to nothing he could do to defend himself. The beam hit him like a sack of bricks and he was flipped up, something similar to a surprised yelp being forced from his throat. As he fell, Drium regained himself. Strong arms reached out and he grabbed the branch he had been reclining on. He swung forward and up, flipping so that he was once more crouched along the limb, facing where the angel had flew towards. The demon’s face was contorted in rage at the attack, literal streams of heat wafting from the cuts in burnt skin as dark blood fell from various locations. His bangs were singed and the whole thing had jarred him from his relaxed mood. If there was one thing that could truly and easily piss the demon off without a hitch, it was hitting him in the face. For whatever reason, it was an absolute trigger for all his anger and now he had it in his head to carve the angel a new one. Not being able to waste a moment, he willed the wounds to begin closing, the small cuts and burnt tissue beginning to close and regenerate. Without further thought, he spun his daggers in each hand, the blades suddenly coming alight with Infernal energy. A loud, echoing guttural roar erupted from his fanged mouth causing birds and other creatures to dash away from the area. He was ready now, waiting for the angel to double back, though he thought it would probably be smarter if the winged one just continued on and didn’t face the demonic rage sure to befall him. |

Success. His beam directly hit Drium in the face. It made him feel good, smacking that filth in his face with the light. It was something that he deserved, a good smack in the face. As far as he was concerned, a demon thief deserved no respect at all. He looked down at the slash across the chest, wincing as his flight stopped, and he tilted, falling toward the ground head first. He only allowed himself to get so far from his opponent. Before he tilted backwards, head first falling toward the floor. At the last second he turned, to land on his feet, his knees bending appropriately as he landed. He saw Drium hanging from the tree, and he put his hands together in front of his face, bowing his head. "While not severe, the demon has damaged me as I attempted to slay him. Cast your purifying light upon me." Usually it took about 10 seconds for the light to come down, but that is cause he always called it upon a friend. But since this was himself, and he was battling a demon, the light quickly shot down, and in about 5 seconds his wound was mostly healed. Now, back to business..his eyes opened and he looked at Drium. His face was burned and messy..it made him smirk a little at the demon's pain. But that smirk quickly disappeared as he took steps forward, knowing that he would have to cause some more pain as the demon seemed to regenerate the broken flesh. His right hand glowed with energy again, it was then that he heard the demon roar into the air. He never heard the demon do that before, and it slightly surprised him. But he was ready, regardless of how angry the demon was. He was not so close to the demon just yet, but close enough where he could defend if the demon tried a surprise attack. |

It was incredibly difficult for the demon to stay focused after hearing the angel’s prayer. The sound of the male’s voice made his skin prickle. Every time he looked at the angel his stomach flip-flopped, causing him to grimace. He couldn’t even keep his anger going, for even as he watched the boy wander towards him and stop, the intense emotion was being replaced by something else. “My god…” He nearly whispered, almost in complete awe of the situation and the one in front of him. “You are so LAME!” He finally exclaimed through gritted teeth from his perch, hands going to grip his hair in frustration while his rust colored eyes widened. “Ugh!” It was all almost overwhelming and he knew that soon he was likely to snap. Everything the angel had ever said and his personality in general was too much for the demon to fathom. He knew that there were lesser imps whose purpose was to drive one to insanity, but he wasn’t aware that the heavens had begun taking pages out of the demonic manual. “I mean…. God!” Drium couldn’t completely formulate the words to fully explain everything he meant and wanted to say. All his thoughts were just running into one another and all he could do was stick his tongue out in disgust and make a choking sound before finally regaining his ability to speak. “They sure picked the right one to send down here! Not to actually do anything productive, but to annoy the fuck out of me!” He dropped his hands to his sides before feverishly shaking his head and fist at the sky. “Why couldn’t you send someone who was actually intimidating?! Not this angel elementary reject!” He didn’t see the angel as an opponent; he saw him as a six winged gnat that kept buzzing in his face and narrowly avoiding his attempts to squash it. Sure, the angel had actually hurt him just a moment ago, but that was obviously a lucky shot as far as Drium was concerned. The demon took a deep, calming sigh, fixating his eyes on the angel. “At least try to make me want to do more than vomit, will ya?” |

He would never quite comprehend the un-intelligence of demons nowadays. He recalled them being much smarter, a bit more cunning. And, at least the demons of the past knew that Shien-Zen could demolish them. This one must have been in denial of what happened on their very first encounter, or he was just simply an imbecile. Shien-Zen was pretty sure it was a combination of both. Every time Shien-Zen felt a bit of...pain from Drium's would be hurtful words, he just reminded himself that he was an angel, something pure, someone that is actually worth something to society. Though Shien-Zen was not as good with fighting with his mouth as Drium was, he was sure he was better with his fists and overall fighting skill. "In my honest opinion, your blades, enchantments, and the way you wield them is rather sloppy, demon. I have seen better blade work from an adolescent.." That last word seemed to be dragged out as he quickly made his way over to Drium. It truthfully was not too far from Drium, as he turned to the left, raising left leg as he spun around with it. The right hand was still glowing, and he sent the back of his left foot toward Drium's left leg. At the same time, however, when and if that would connect, he would send the back his left non glowing fist toward Drium's face. |

Shien-Zen was not an old angel, not in any sense of the word. Drium knew this and rolled his eyes in response to the other’s attempt at insulting him. He’d assume that at most he was no more than a hundred; for it would surely be impossible for any celestial creature of a respectable age to be so naïve. The boy simply did not have the experience necessary to even make such claims so his point was moot. In any other situation, the demon would’ve simply laughed himself breathless, but he was too sickened by the angel’s misplaced arrogance. He kept a careful, close and irritated eye on the angel as he approached, reading his movements with ease, keeping stock of that glowing hand the other threatened. He’d rate it a medium level threat at best, nothing to get too worried about. Judging by the damage the first attack did, he figured he could take at least a couple hits from that before needing to be a bit more cautious and on the defensive. This thought invigorated him and he bared his fangs at the angel, waiting for him to make a move. When it came at long last, he was more than ready, holding back until the very last moment when it would be nigh improbable for the six winged bother to react. Like lightning he brought his boot down forcibly onto Shien’s foot, right at the ankle, purposely aiming to shatter the weaker bone there and pin him to the branch. His upper body’s reactions were just as fast, if not faster. The demon dipped below the backhand attack and stabbed forward relentlessly. His daggers moved as a blood red blur as he pumped his arms forward and back. The Infernal touched serrated blades struck in and out towards the angel’s now open ribs and fleshy kidney area a total of twelve times in little over a second and a half. Drium hadn’t forgotten about the other’s light attack either and he was fully ready for it. He expected it be coming at him right about now, and though what he planned to do was a gamble, if it paid off, it would be well worth it. He’d drop back from the branch, allowing himself to fall away from the assumed attack. Instead of simply freefalling to the ground however, he’d stab his daggers into the branch and actually let go of them to switch his hands to the wood itself. Using his momentum to swing forward, he’d send both his booted feet to the small of the angel’s back on the upswing. |

The kick he did was already in motion to begin with, and he had no intention of stopping when it hit, trying to kick through him. As Drium's foot came down on his ankle, he kept the leg in motion, so it only naturally missed the intended ankle target, and resulted in Drium stepping very hard on his foot. It took him by surprise, and disrupted the concentration on the charge he had in his hand. He grunted as his foot was pinned to the ground, the demon had actually somewhat outwitted him. Or perhaps it was Shien-Zen's fault for not aiming higher. Yes, that had to be it. But either way, Shien-Zen made a mistake and Drium capitalized off of it, watching him duck under the back fist. The dagger was set a flame, Drium was ducking in and preparing for an assault on his now open body. He had to do something or this could very well be the end of the fight. Now he had to deal with the daggers that were coming toward him. As fast as they were, Drium's motion and enchantment already gave Shien-Zen the heads up that. His aura was already around him, just not very heavy, and he focused his energy to make it thicker. His right hand was still coming toward Drium, it was part of the previous motion. But before that, Drium's right dagger stabbed into just under Shien-Zen's pectoral. His aura protected him from the extra damage the enchantment would bring, however, not from the physical damage the daggers caused. He grinded his teeth together, and moved the right hand that was already in motion to grab onto Drium's left wrist and stop the knife from coming into him. Drium already was pulling the other dagger out, and preparing to stab again, but he caught that wrist with his other hand. He now held both of Drium's wrists, using his strength to overpower Drium, and lock his arms to keep him at a distance, which should push Drium off of his foot.
