Shien-Zen's wings were spread as he soared through the air. They glowed with a golden hue, the air blowing past his face making his hair ripple in the wind. It had been a little over a month since he set Drake down. The whole encounter with Andromalius really made him think..if it was actually safe to travel with Drake. And it was determined that it was not. That is why he set Drake aside in a safe place sohe can rest. During their seperation, Shien-Zen went through some things. Freya basically changed his mindset, but then when he met Valerie, it changed it back. Maybe today he would meet someone that would help him decide where his mind should be at. The ocean was always beautiful to him, he dived downward, slowly falling through the air, and landing on the sandy beach. He folded his arms and looked foward into the horizon. His mouth curved upward, and his eyes were a bit soft as he stared into the water. It was a while since he's been here. He's feeling a little relaxed. |

Drake was wandering again. He was still troubled by what had happened with Valerie in the forest. The condition she'd been in when he found her... Because of Shien-Zen! Who Drake saw on the beach in the distance. Drake picked up his pace slightly as he headed toward the figure of the angel in the distance. He wanted to have a word with him... As Drake approached, he said slightly icily, "Hello Shien-Zen. I want to have a talk with you..." Drake was slightly ticked off, and his now golden flaming eyes showed it. "First, why did you just leave?! You left, and I had nowhere to go. What, did you think I'd get in your way or something?!" Drake's voice managed to be a combination of cold enough to be absolute zero, and hot enough anger to set things on fire as he said the next part. "And second, what did you do to Valerie?! When I ran across her in the forest, she'd practically lost her mind! She said it was because of you!" Drake didn't care about starting this conversation out of nowhere, it needed to happen! |

Everything was going smoothly, he was just standing at front of the ocean, letting the water calm him as it splashed across his feet. He heard someone call his name, and it was a familiar voice. His calmness left him, and he was put back into alertness. He turned to face an old friend..it was Drake! He found Shien-Zen somehow. He bowed once, acknowledging him as a friend and someone he respeted. "You want to have a talk with me?" He stepped foward a few times, out of the water. He could tell by Drake's voice that he was a little upset..about something, but I guess he would find out. And he did, "I did not abandon you, Drake. It is not that I felt that you were in my way, I felt that I was putting you in danger..and I would not be responsible for if you die and I could not save you." Then he brought up Valerie..just what he needed. To be reminded of her again. His eyes flashed and he clenched his fists at his sides, baring his teeth just a little. The lines on his face, his eyes, his mouth, were all sharp with fury. The aura became a little brighter around him, and he looked up at Drake, "She revealed some things to me that I did not favor. Let us leave it at that?" |

Drake snapped back at Shien-Zen "Do you not remember the situation I was in when we met?! I was injured by a bandit, in a fight that I started! You don't put me into danger, you just help me find it sooner!" And then, his response to the subject of Valerie. "WHAT?!!! She 'revealed' to you some things that you didn't 'favor'?! Are you kidding me?!" Drake was really ticked off now. "Valerie had nearly lost her mind from whatever you said to her! What did she reveal to you that you couldn't stand, huh?! What, was she not perfect enough for you?! People aren't perfect! From the way you clearly assumed that she was evil for being a vampire earlier, it wouldn't surprise me if you made some stupid assumption here too!" Shien-Zen looked angry too, but Drake didn't care. He wasn't going to just back off. |

He took Drake's words to the heart just a bit, not liking the tone Drake used toward him. His eyes thinned even more, almost turning into glowing slits on his face. He pointed at Drake, "I would think you would show a bit more respect so someone who saved your life, twice." Not that he was going to hold it over Drake, just stating the fact. "The bandits are your fault, yes, but it is my fault for allowing that demon to damage you. I should not have pulled you into my affairs." His hand dropped and he looked at the sand below him when Valerie was mentioned. Even if he said what she said to him, he would not believe him. "Valerie..she has you wrapped around her finger. She is playing you for a fool. I brought out her true feelings about everything. She told me herself that she was decieving everybody and pretending to be the innocent one." His words were a bit calm, though stern and hard. He had to convince him that he was telling him the truth. "I came to her to apologize..because back with Andromalius, I scanned for her alignment, and it was good. But then she told me..she told me that she did not deserve my apology because she was in actuality a lieing decieving vampire." |

Drake couldn't believe this, Shien-Zen wasn't listening. "Do you really think that I wouldn't have run into Andromalius without you? That's unlikely." Drake gave a slight snort, "That creep said that he plans on killing everyone in Elenlond! I might very well have run across him at some other time. And I attacked him to defend Valerie, not you anyway!" Drake stared defiantly at Shien-Zen. "Yes, Valerie! The girl you seem to hate so much for what she is! If she did say that to you, it was probably because of your pushing her over the edge! I don't believe for one moment that she's really the manipulative monster you make her out to be! I don't care what you think, you weren't there in the forest!" Drake continued to glare at Shien-Zen as he spoke. "And if you plan on hanging your saving my life twice over me forever, don't bother. I'm glad you did, don't get me wrong, but that's not the point here! Besides, according to you, you are the reason my life needed saving anyway, even if I do personally disagree." Drake's angry gaze still didn't waver for even a moment. "I don't suppose this conversation is ever going to go anywhere, is it?" He asked in a rather annoyed tone. It was a rhetorical question, he pretty much knew the answer. They probably would never agree on anything. The woman at the shack, the battle with Drium, Valerie, everything ended with them ticked off at each other. |

This little argument had become a bit more than just a 'little' argument. His aura became set a flame, a reflection of his emotion. Fury, anger, that the vampire managed to warp Drake's mind and turn his own friend against him. He took a good look at Drake's alignment once more, eyes flashing..same result. Then why was he acting like this toward him. "Are you..calling my word untruthful!? Do you dare to call me a liar?!" He took one step foward, his anger was getting the best of him. His teeth were showing, he grinded them against each other. A regular human would nine times out of ten be frightened in the presence of him when he is this angry. He was never outright called a liar like this before, and the feeling that this guy did not take his word, the word of an angel, over that of a vampire, made him boil with rage! "You take the word of a vampire before you take MINE?!" |

Drake looked at Shien-Zen, not flinching even once at the "holy" aura that flared up. He said coolly "Why? You hate the implication that you're not perfect? Face it, no one is perfect. No one! And no one is better than someone else because of their race or anything like that." Drake outright snarled at Shien-Zen's last comment. "And there it is! You think you're so high and mighty because you're an 'angel' and vampires are below you! No doubt you think I'm just some worthless insect as well, just because I'm not radiating light and power like you and your infinite holiness!" Drake gave a stare of frozen yet still flaming rage at Shien-Zen. "I'd say that those who think they're so much more important than anyone else are the ones that have less worth if anything!" Drake stared with utter defiance at Shien-Zen. If the angel wanted to fight, Drake wouldn't run away. Drake continued speaking, "You have given me no real reason to believe your word over another's! You assumed Valerie was evil before you knew her, changed your mind, and then changed your mind again! You as much as said that that one woman who watned to be left alone was evil because she was hiding something! So no, I don't automatically believe your word!" This was it. Drake waited for Shien-Zen, and prepared for anything to happen. He was seriously annoyed with this arrogant angel! |

"I never said I was perfect. And you..you are a fool for challenging me, and at the same time, a fool for believing her word over mine." At this time, whether he knew it or not, he was about to attack one of his only friends he had on this Earth. Shien-Zen did not even consider the fact that both Valerie and himself were in the heat of an argument, and anger greatly clouds judgment..like it is doing to himself. Friendship went out of the window, he did not care about that. It was no longer his friend was upset, it was this guy defied Shien-Zen and disrespected him. He took brisk steps toward Drake, keeping his fists clenched. He was absolutely sure that everybody was evil, everyone he encountered. No one could be trusted, but that was his thoughts because he was still unstable after all of the things that happened to him. His judgment was and will be ruined until he resolves some things with himself. He pointed at Drake as he walked. "You better transform to your dragon form. At least this way...you will have a chance to surive my attacks." |

"Challenging you?!" Drake asked incredulously. "I just said things the way I saw them!" Of course, then Shien-Zen threatened him. "What?! You... You plan on killing me for questioning you?!" Drake couldn't believe it. This guy was a monster! There was a flash of light, and Drake said to Shien-Zen You plan on killing me for not agreeing with you?! What kind of twisted monster are you?! This was ridiculous. Drake couldn't stand who Shien-Zen had just shown himself to be. An arrogant bastard who killed everyone he got ticked off at! Drake thought that he himself had some anger issues, but he'd never gone so far as to attack someone he disagreed with! And it had been extremely tempting too, that little part of his brain that tried to annoy him screaming, making everything more difficult. And now this so-called angel was not only attacking him, but announcing his intent to kill. Drake said as he flew back Alright, if you want to try and kill me, I definitely won't make this easy for you! I can't stand guys like you, proclaiming your holiness and smiting anyone who dares disagree, or dares not tell you everything, or dares be anything other than exactly what you want! Drake was officially angry now. Remember, I didn't make the first blow, nor did I ask for it! I didn't say I wished you harm, and I didn't say I wished anyone else harm here! You attacked me for defending someone else, and not saying that you were right! Drake wasn't sure why he wanted to avoid the fight. For one thing, he wasn't completely sure he could win after all. For another thing, despite how Shien-Zen was acting here, Drake still had some doubt about his being a complete monster... Some. The way he was acting here however, he definitely seemed like he would do some major damage to the world. If anyone who disagreed with him was subject to his wrath, then... No, he had to focus. Drake stared at Shien-Zen, anger, but a little bit of confusion now too, still in his eyes. |

He kept his walk, he was only 20 ft away from Drake at the time before he transformed into his dragon form. Drake probably did not know the inner battle Shien-Zen was going through to attempt to keep himself from attacking Drake..the losing battle. His range consumed him..he felt betrayed by his only friend, and that was the reason he was mad. But that is not what he thought to himself, he was thinking the man in front of him was tainted, tainted by that wretched vampire, even though that wasn't the case. He couldn't see nor understand that Drake was more compassionate than him. He watched Drake fly backwards through the air. Was he trying to escape? Oh no, he would not allow that. He gave pursuit, flying upwards, raising his fist back. The aura brightened a little the closer he got to Drake. |

Drake saw as Shien-Zen flew after, not even acknowledging what he said. Do you even hear what I say?! Drake asked Or are you so blinded by arrogance that you can't hear anything you don't want to?! Drake still for some reason didn't want to fight. He didn't want to strike the first blow, he wasn't even entirely sure why. He just didn't feel like he could actually fight until Shien-Zen unleashed an actual attack. And yet, he had to. Drake said, I won't just sit here and die! You pushed this fight, I'm sorry! As Drake suddenly flew directly upward, he summoned a blade of wind and threw it at Shien-Zen. |

Shien-Zen watched Drake fly upward, and he cotinued after him. Drake's words fell on death ears, unfortunately. Shien-Zen was already in the mode, where he had to teach Drake a lesson. Where he must fight, to gain the respect..the respect of someone who used to be his friend. At least that is how he thought. He watched the blade of wind fly toward him from Drake. He twirled in the air, contiuing his asscension toward Drake, his body passing the blade of wind. He was now in striking range of Drake, but he stopped, just standing a mere couple of feet in front of him, trying to figure out what to do. This was his friend, afterall. The inner battle was going on once again, though you could not tell it just by the angry look on his face. His right hand clenced backwards, the coldness in his gaze falling upon Drake. |

Drake's wind blade had no visible effect whatsoever. He wasn't even able to tell if it hit or not. This wasn't good... However, Shien-Zen stopped in the air in front of him, and didn't seem to move to attack again. Drake felt a little bit of hope. Maybe Shien-Zen didn't really want to kill him, not completely! Drake honestly had no idea what he could try and say. He just stood there, and waited. Please Shien-Zen... Drake said. Just stop... Drake still had no freaking idea why he didn't just fly at Shien-Zen, claws slashing. Shien-Zen's face still looked cold and merciless, but... Gah! He still couldn't attack. He just didn't want to anymore. Drake felt so confused himself, and he didn't know why... He shook his head. At least focus on this. Drake watched to see if Shien-Zen was going to do anything else, so he could react as quickly as possible... |

His fist was shaking as he held it at his side. He was ready to punch Drake's head off, really, but something would not let him. It shook wildly. "You..are..my friend.." He said that under his breath to himself, thinking out loud, allowing some of his thoughts to escape his mind. "...Friend.." The aura around him dissipated and became dim, his will, and his want to fight slowly dissolved into nothing. The final hit his will to fight took was Drake pratcially begging and pleading not to fight. It was obvious that Drake must have cared about their friendship, either that, or he was not completely sure he could defeat Shien-Zen. His breathing slowed down from what it was, and the glow left his eyes. His fist dropped to his side, and he looked at the ground below him. It was obvious Shien-Zen cared about their friendship a little on the inside as well. The inner battle was over, and the good and righteous in Shien-Zen conquered the rage..conquered the anger. "...W-why..am I like this?" |

Drake was amazed when Shien-Zen actually stopped. His aura of anger (or arrogance, or whatever it actually was, it didn't really seem quite 'holy" from what Drake had seen here) went down, and he said something about Drake being his friend. Drake said Yes. I think we are friends, even if we get into some arguments sometimes... Drake had a few more comments to make, but he decided that it would be completely stupid to actually say them. Drake sighed at Shien-Zen's question of why he was like this. He responded, If you mean the part where you acted like an arrogant creep and attacked me for saying you did, I have no idea. He sounded annoyed If you're talking about assuming that vampires are automatically evil, then I don't know either. Then, his voice softened, If you're talking about stopping attacking, that's because you aren't some monster. Neither is Valerie... Drake sighed. Listen, she told me about what she said to you. However, that wasn't the truth. She really does hate being a vampire, but apparently she snapped and for some reason said something she shouldn't have... Drake sighed one more time as he shook his head. You know what, forget it. Shien-Zen, just... I have no idea what to say to you. Maybe work on your anger issues a bit and don't go attacking everyone who isn't you? Drake's voice was joking at that last part. Honestly, he really did have no idea what to say. It was easy to try to tell someone who was lonely that they weren't alone and they didn't need to be (or something to that effect) than to tell someone who had just announced that they would kill you... Wait, what was he even trying to say anyway? He really had no freaking clue. Amazing, he spoke without knowing what he was trying to say... Another example of his being pathetic. It was apparent that Shien-Zen had more knowledge on certain aspects than Drake did. On top of that, Drake did not travel everywhere that Shien-Zen did, so because of that, he had to maybe..fill Drake in on his perspective so he would know why he acts the way he does. It could help strengthen their somewhat weak friendship, so he started to speak. He cleared his throat before he spoke. "..You were probably not around at the time, but the first lady we encountered together..her name is Sphynx. She is a fallen Goddess. When one is fallen, that means that they have done something horrible to fall from their position in power. I tried to scan her alignment, and for some reason..it was blocked. The point is, it is a fact that she is a fallen Goddess, so you have to believe me when I say I was right about her..being evil." He floated to the side a little bit, folding his arms. His expression was empty, a bit sorrowful if anything. "Drake..I..never said I was perfect, and I know I am not. Though I can try to be..and it makes me mad to know that I cannot be such." He looked up to think for a second. "Me and Drium also have a history, Drake. He is a bandit..like the ones that you have slain, and that is why I have attacked him." Drake should hopefully notice that Shien-Zen was being the exact opposite of arrogant. It is a big step for him to put his pride to the side to explain himself to another. It just is not something that someone who is arrogant, someone who considers himself better than everyone would do. |

Drake listened as Shien-Zen explained about Sphynx. He responded Oh. Well, now what you did makes a lot more sense now... To be honest, I had no idea... Wait, scan her alignment? Drake was confused. Was he able to tell if someone was evil or not? But then, with Valerie, how... It didn't matter right now. Then, Shien-Zen continued. Drake said back to him Well, it's at least a good thing to know you're not some arrogant creep. But I'll be honest, that's how you were coming across there, which is why I was so ticked off. He sighed. None of us are perfect. No one. You even called Sphynx a goddess, but she's evil from what you said... Drake shook his head. That was getting slightly off-track. My point is, He continued, looking at Shien-Zen even though we can't be perfect, we can still strive to be as close as possible. I know I'm not perfect... All the time, there's this obnoxious part in the back of my mind that tells me to do things that go against me very being they're so vile! And when I'm angry, it becomes harder and harder to resist... A thought occurred to Drake. One he didn't speak out loud. Maybe, Shien-Zen had something similar, and when he was pushed over the breaking point, finally gave in. He wasn't going to say anything else about that... Drake then said About Drium... Honestly, from the way he ended up acting, I would have guessed he was a creep anyway. He just left Valerie to Andromalius... Drake didn't really know what else to say about any of it, so he said So, do we go back to the next installment of regularly scheduled chaos, as in, scheduled to happen every half-second things aren't completely ridiculous, or do you want to say that you don't want to put me in danger again... Oh wait, you go all crazy and say that Valerie needs to die, and so do I for defending her! That has to be my favorite of all! Drake's voice wasn't annoyed. Rather, he tried to make it clear that he was joking. Of course, with his luck, Shien-Zen would miss the joke completely... |

He nodded to Drake once, a small smile appeared on his face, when Drake understod that he can scan alingments. Shien-Zen was feeling happy..satisfied..but why? Perhaps the true angel in him was coming out..maybe his happiness grew from being able to actually make Drake happy. Nonetheless, for probably the first time around Drake, a smile appeared on his face. "Drake..yes, I can scan alignments of anybody..and recently discovered that I can see into some of the history of another person." He nodded once more. "My..power is starting to return to me completely..and with it, my power to evaluate another..it increases, and I can stop making improper assumptions..and discover what my true purpose is." The smile on his face grew even wider when Drake made the joke about the endless chaos the two of them always go through. He even mustered a laugh. The feeling was weird to him..something he almost never experienced. Is this what it's like to be happy? Is this what friends are for..to pick one up when they need it? |

Well, that did make things a lot easier. It must be a rather useful skill to have. Drake said chuckling slightly,Well, now I know you weren't completely insane when you talked about Sphynx hiding something... Wait... Drake was confused. If you knew she was a fallen goddess, then why did you get onto her for hiding it? Or... Did you actually not realize at first? Drake still sort of thought that if Shien-Zen was only going on the unsuccessful attempt at scanning at first, then he'd done it wrong... Whatever. Drake said to Shien-Zen jokingly So if you're getting better at it, do you think the confusion might go down slightly? I don't mind chaos, it's when I have no freaking clue what's going on that it's a problem. Drake laughed a bit, which in dragon form, amounted to a low rumbling sound. For once, things were actually pretty nice... Drake then said Now that there's no craziness of arguments or attacking each other, I'm half-expecting a meteor to fall out of the sky with Andromalius and Sphynx on it, who would make insane rants about ruling the world and then send an army of evil pink fluffballs to destroy everything... Okay, so maybe not, but the level of insanity would fit with everything else that always happens. Drake started laughing harder. Yes, things were much different. Little did Drake know, that this was Shien-Zen's first time experiencing what true friendship really was like. It gave him a warm fuzzy feeling inside that cold spirit, similar to setting on fire a fireplace for the very first time. And it felt good, Shien-Zen liked the feeling. His face made pleasant curves, and all of that happiness was going toward Drake right now. However, his face turned straight when he mentioned Sphynx and mentioned Andromalius. He folded his arms, looking downward. He was obviously contemplating something, and his aura flared up around him yet again. When Andromalius was brought up, he turned and looked at the ocean, his wings spreading as a weak wind current blew from his aura. Flashbacks of Andromalius blasting Drake, and beating the hell out of Valerie played in his mind..and how he stood there, the supposed hero, doing nothing. It made him angry again. But this time his anger was toward the right cause.. "My..power has risen signifcantly since when we first met. Would you like to join me in reconfronting Andromalius?" |

Drake's joke seemed to have the exact opposite of the intended effect. Shien-Zen suddenly looked serious, and he seemed to be contemplating something as he looked toward the ocean. Drake stopped laughing. Then, he listened as Shien-Zen spoke. Drake responded I... I want to stop Andromalius, but... Drake wasn't entirely sure they could do much of anything against Andromalius. Then again... Maybe that was just him. Drake felt powerless. He realized just now that he was kind of afraid of Shien-Zen's power... Drake had the ability to sense magical energy, or anything similar. In short, if someone had a lot of raw power, he could tell. While Drake had indeed been hesitant to attack Shien-Zen himself in the earlier fight, he'd also been afraid of facing someone with so much more power. And Drake honestly... He wanted to build up his own power. However, at the same time... Monsters like Andromalius... They needed to be destroyed! And yet... Drake said to Shien-Zen I do. I really, really want to help destroy Andromalius. However... Drake sighed. I think I'd get in the way in combat. Last time, I wasn't able to do anything, I only made things worse... And I'm barely any stronger myself than before. Drake didn't like to admit it, in fact, he couldn't stand it. But the truth was, he'd realized something. He didn't have enough power. He needed strength to protect others, strength he didn't have! Drake said, I want to go, so desperately... But I'm not sure if I would help at all. I feel like I'd be in the way as I am now... I am barely any stronger than I was when I first met you myself. But I... Drake had no idea how to say it. I feel like I can become stronger. The truth is, I don't know what I should do, I'm scared of my own weakness, even as I want to stop Andromalius... But... I... I don't know! This was a rare moment. No, probably the first time ever when Drake had been truly indecisive if he should try to fight some vile monster. He'd gone after huge groups of bandits at once before without hesitation, but now he was scared of one creature... Drake felt more pathetic than ever now. Why can't I just decide!? Drake exclaimed in frustration. Why can't I actually be sure of my own abilities?! Why can't I actually feel like I can do anything right?! Drake was so confused. He was torn between an incredible desire to stop Andromalius, a lack of confidence in his abilities, and just plain old fear! Yes, he felt it! His determination to help others almost always overrode it, but he did not want to die himself! And he felt like he would not only die if he faced Andromalius, but also just plain get in the way and make things worse. Drake felt himself falling toward the ground. Well, not quite. More like floating toward it, as his utter lack of focus on staying in the air troubled him, but he felt like he was falling... Falling... Falling... Falling into his own sudden confusion. Why were things never simple, or even sane?! Why was it that when he made a seemingly innocent idle comment while everything seemed to be going great, then it made someone else become all serious, and then ask a question that put him in a spiral of confusion that couldn't resolve itself in his mind. Why can't I decide?! Why can't I even decide what I'm supposed to do?! Or even how I feel?! I feel like a coward for even thinking about not going, but I also feel like I'd get in the way! Why... Why can't I... Do anything... I try to talk and I get you to attack me, I try to stop Andromalius and nearly get killed because of it, while having no actual effect on him...?! Drake roared in frustration, and then when he reached the ground, just collapsed in a heap. He felt a strange combination of depression, frustration, confusion... And unchecked chaos. |

Shien-Zen was shocked when Drake did not want to come. It was least expected, he really thought Drake would want to come; he knows Drake. Drake is always up for adventure..what was going on? He kind of felt like he had to bring Drake along with him, so Drake could get revenge on Andromalius for hurting him and his friend. So one could understand..the disappointment.. The disapointment that Shien-Zen felt when Drake basically turned him down. His eyes widened at Drake as he spoke. Another emotion Shien-Zen noticed was fear.he could hear it in his words, he was for the first time uncertain of himself. But no...he could not have that. He felt that he needed Drake to accompany him. Drake was falling to the ground slowly, and when he did, he dropped in front of him. He put a hand on his head, and looked into his eyes. "Did you not tell me that no one is perfect? If that is the case..then accept that you are not either. You did not know of his power before, but now you do. And I am stronger now." He sighed to himself, kneeling his head and closing his eyes. "...Drake..I..need you, Drake. You have to come with me, or I might not be able to beat him." |

Drake's utter, paralyzing confusion was interrupted by Shien-Zen. He... Needed Drake to be there? Couldn't do it without him...? Drake looked up at him. Are you... Are you sure? Drake asked. I... Want to. I do... I just feel like I'd get in the way and make everything worse... Whether I say something wrong, or I mis-aim an attack, or I get in front of one of your attacks by accident... He did feel helpless. He asked Shien-Zen again Are you absolutely sure you want me there? If you really think I can help, I'll go... I don't understand, if there's someone right in front of me that needs protecting, I'll fight with all I have, or if the opponent is weak enough... But with someone like Andromalius, I go into confusion between wanting to protect and fear I'll make everything worse... Drake sighed again, something he did rather often I still feel so pathetic... I couldn't even touch Andromalius earlier, instead just ending up harming Valerie, I fell to a freaking bandit taking a wound from a freaking knife that would have been fatal if you hadn't helped me, when I tried to talk to you earlier I accidentally got you to attack me... I hate feeling so powerless. I know I can be stronger, I know I can do better! But I'm not, and I dont... Drake let out a noise that was somewhere between a laugh, a choke and a sigh, And I can't stop whining about how pathetic I am, when I was the one that said no one is perfect... This is but one example of how I'm not... Drake felt slightly better that Shien-Zen said he needed him though. And... Valerie had said he'd really helped cheer her up earlier. Maybe he wasn't completely pathetic... But he still sure felt like it. |

"Drake.." He frowned to Drake, it seemed like nothing he was saying could make his friend feel any better. "It is not your place to defeat him anyway. He is..the scourge of this world..one of the very things that even I, am not one hundred percent sure I can defeat. You were hurt because you could not take Andromalius on by yourself. Even I do not want to go alone..but either way, I must go and fight him." "...I could suffer the same fate you did when you attempted to fight Andromalius by yourself...I could be mortally wounded. But I know that if you are there with me...I know if you are just there for support, that I can beat him!" He looked over to Drake. It was a first, but he spoke with passion...he spoke like he truly cared. He spoke as if he sincerely cared about the fate of the world. "So Drake..if I do die, which is a possibility..I am not going to lie to you and tell you if you go with me, we will definitely make it out alive, cause there is a chance we will not. So I am saying..if I do die, I'd only want to die with a friend like you at my side. This is why you have to come with me...you must find it in yourself to believe that we can stop him...and save the world!" |
