Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity.

But how long will that peace last?

Shien-Zen looked down at the plains, he had been traveling for quite some time with Drake, and he enjoyed it for the most part. Drake had been an excellent companion and someone reliabe who Shien-Zen could count on. It is not like he had a choice, cause it was his first and only person he considered to be a friend. It was in the middle of the night, Shien-Zen did not get his rest as he intended.

Well, he did have a choice, but he liked having Drake around, and he enjoyed this whole being friends thing..though he doubt he would make another one, he did like Nicholaus a little bit. He looked over to Drake who would be traveling with him through the air, after their encounter at Sphynx's shack.

"So..how do you like traveling with me thus far?"

Drake still couldn't believe what had happened at that house back there. Shien-Zen had stubbornly insisted on staying, because he thought the woman had been hiding something, and then suddenly decided to leave. Drake was still extremely annoyed about that event back there. When Shien-Zen's question came, Drake replied (since he had finally figured out that he had telepathy in dragon form) Well, considering that the only event of any note at all so far was that incident back there, not that much.

Drake realized that he was probably sounding a bit harsh. He let out a sort of dragon-sigh, and then said, It's hardly as if I want to stop, it's better than being lonely all the time like I was before, but I'm still irritated at how you refused to leave and then suddenly acted like you really, really wanted to leave. Don't worry about it though, I still need a bit of time to cool off...

Honestly, Drake's eyes were still changed. Well, granted, when in dragon form, he almost had to be totally peaceful for them to look their normal green, which hardly ever happened, but still... Drake kept flying, waiting for Shien-Zen to say something else.

Valerie looked around suspiciously. It was dark, and way to quiet. Where were the noises of the forest? The darkness of the trees. It felt to..light outside. Slipping into the darker shadow of a tree she stared around the plain. Deadly silent, a soft wind brushed through the grass but otherwise all was still. She kept her senses alert as she stared around the plain. Stepping out slowly she looked up at the sky. Smiling she took a deep breath and walked forward into the open. Taking a few jogging steps she stood in the middle of an open plain. She would never be able to do this in the sunlight, so why not enjoy the moonlight? Even if it DID make her skin itch.

Looking around silently she let out a soft breath of air. Plains were so peaceful, but a bit...too peaceful. Moving across the ground crouched over in case of attack she kept her ears open. When she heard something, she froze, out in the open afraid to move in case it attracted whatever that was that was flying above her head. Keeping close to the ground she laid her hands flat ready to sprint away. But the shape had her curious. There seemed to be..two things up there. Staring at them she slowly stood up her eyes focused on the moving figures. One of them had a serpentine shape, the other had wings. White wings from what she could tell. Blinking a few more times she crouched down again afraid to move quickly. The Serpentine thing MUST be a Dragon of some sort. Though she had never seen one before in her life.

Making slow deliberate steps she inched her way closer to the nearest tree. Had she a pulse it would have been hammering, but now she was stuck her eyes staring at the figure above, one foot stretched out her hands sliding across the grass. Taking another slow step she kept her eyes on the figure. Glancing down she made her way slowly across the plain careful to take glances at the figures before she moved on to look at the ground keeping it quiet and stealthy.

Drium sighed; annoyed that he had to make his way through the plains to get to his next destination. His hands were deep in his pockets and he walked at a slow, deliberate pace down the path, eyes on the ground. The endless wind blowing in his direction was highly annoying; the air flow continually blowing into his sensitive feline ears and making them twitch in three second intervals. The slight whistling sound that accompanied it annoyed him further and the longer he walked, the more the scowl on his deepened.

The demon’s eyes were near slits when he finally looked up to see how far he had to go, a low growl escaping his throat when his rust colored eyes still saw plain against the horizon. He wondered how long he would have to be going through this area, but also why he had entered it in the first place. A mistake no doubt, one that by now wouldn’t be worth turning back on to start over. The demon paused, gathering himself for a moment, blissfully unaware of any who may have been in his surroundings. He gave a long, irritated sigh before shaking his head and continuing to move once more.

It had been forever since he was last able to swipe something and his fingers were twitching in his pockets due to anticipation. He had hoped that maybe a caravan or another poor, lonely traveler would come in his direction so he could rob them. In fact he still hoped for it; the event would be a welcomed distraction from the boring monotony of traveling through this wretched place.

He showed a bit of sadness in his expression, but only a bit..a tiny bit. Drake seemed to be upset at him for going about things with Sphynx the way he did. Maybe he was beginning to feel sorry, thinking Drake was right, and he should've just left the woman alone. ..No! Never..he knows how to do his own job. She was evil and eventually she would have to be taken care of.

"Drake, I extend a sincere apology to you." He finally said to him, after being silent for a few seconds. It was also the first time he ever apologized for anything. He looked down at the plains, they were obscenely empty to him, or maybe he just could not see. He flashed his eyes at the plains below him..and he saw an old enemy. The thief; it was time for his punishment at last.

"Drake.." He pointed to Drium, stopping in the middle of the air. "This man..this demon..is a heartless being, who robs and kills others to fulfill his own greed. You should come with me as a I confront him." His body tilted downwards and he stylishly fell towards the ground, toward Drium.
"Today is your day, Drium!"

After several seconds, Drake heard Shien-Zen speak. "Drake, I extend a sincere apology to you." Drake looked over at the angel, surprised. He hadn't really expected that. Nor did he know what to say back. He began looking ahead again, and after another very short moment of silence, Drake heard Shien-Zen trying to get his attention once more.

Drake glanced over, and saw Shien-Zen pointing. Drake looked in the direction he was pointing, and made out a figure through the darkness. He heard Shien-Zen explaining that the man was a demon who robbed and killed others for his own greed. Exactly the kind of person Drake hated. Drake responded, He shall get no mercy from me then!

Drake got closer to the figure as well as Shien-Zen dropped through the air. Drake stopped while he was about ten feet in the air however. He watched, and waited for something to happen, unsure if he should try and attack yet. Shien-Zen seemed ready for combat however, so Drake circled around to behind the man, ready to dive down with a quick claw strike when there was an opening, if that would be necessary.

Drake's claws were glowing with white light, and it was entirely possible that Drium, as Drake had heard Shien-Zen call him, had seen him before he circled around... Although it might not even really matter. After all, between an angel and a dragon, any opponent that didn't have utterly insane power would probably not last long.

He stopped again when a voice yelling his name reached his ears. Surprised, Drium perked up, his ears twitching while he looked around, blinking profusely. Lifting his gaze skyward, he spotted Shien-Zen flying towards him and instinctively jumped back away from him; having no idea what he had planned to do. His hands left his pockets and he raised an eyebrow, searching the angel’s face, eyes narrowed disinterestedly. “What?”

The appearance of a second person didn’t go unnoticed by the demon. The sound of the speedy creature moving behind him had his feline ears following the movement. He half turned, eyes searching for this new person while still being able to keep the angel in his peripheral vision. “Heh, you made a friend? I’m surprised” He said with a smirk, aiming his comment at the angel. The glowing claws in the air easily caught his attention and caused him to zoom in visually on the creature, eyeing it carefully.

“A…. Dragon…? Too…?” His voice was hesitant at first, as if he didn’t believe that there was actually a dragon floating nearby. “Wow….” He whistled, nodding his head, slightly impressed. “You didn’t just beat or nag him into joining you, did you? That wouldn’t be much fun.” He joked with a smirk, turning back fully to Shien-Zen now, while still keeping his senses open to react to any sudden movements from behind due to the dragon.

Drium was no fool, though he played the aloof card well. It didn’t take a genius to gather that the angel was going to attempt to take him down. Though it did mentally please him to know that Shien-Zen knew he couldn’t beat him by himself and needed help.

Normally in this type of situation the thief would just try to escape as he didn’t like to fight unless he absolutely had too. Unfortunately they were in a fairly open plain, so just trying to run was out of the question. He sighed and flexed his fingers, figuring that he was going to be able to leave; he’d have to fight his way out of his current situation. With that thought in mind however, he found no harm in trying another method first.

”Can you save this for some other time? Like tomorrow? I’m not really in the mood to play with you and I wanna get to my destination.”

Valerie watched as the Dragon and winged person dove. She gasped and flipped behind a tree staring at them. What were they diving at? She focused her eyes on their prey. A person? A...person who looked oddly familiar, she knew that posture anywhere. Drium? Wait, was that...that angel dude? She gasped and jumped up sprinting to where they were. She didn't want Drium to get hurt. That stupid angel was going after him! The Dragon was what scared her though. Dragons were usually vicious weren't they? She sprinted as fast as she could across the open plain. Not caring about roots, but managing to trip and fall. She growled slightly baring her fangs kicking up a flurry of dirt.

Sitting as still as possible she waited for the dust to calm down. She would appear to be just a speck on the ground, an animal or something. She kept her eyes on them though, now at a much better position so that she could hear them talking. She kept on the ground though, not daring to move in case they saw the flurry of dirt. Staring at the group she kept her eyes trained on the Dragon. Drium had just turned and saw it and was saying something. She did an army crawl silently closer catching the end of this last sentence. She turned her eyes to the angel hoping he would just listen to Drium and let him go. It wouldn't be very angellic like if he fought someone who didn't want to. How rude. Even she, who was apparently evil for being a vampire, could tell that this was wrong. If they fought him, she'd have to jump in, and she didn't want to do that.

Drake let out a small growl at the man's comments. He growled slightly louder when the guy made some remark about not really being in the mood to play. Arrogant creep... Suddenly, Drake felt something. Something felt somehow strange nearby... He looked over to where it was coming from. He tried searching closely... Yes, there was someone there, laying on the ground and watching. It looked like a human girl, but something definitely seemed off...

Drake said, only so Shien-Zen could here (this telepathy thing was pretty handy) Shien-Zen, there's someone else here! Drake waited for Shien-Zen's response. The girl didn't quite look like a threat, just sitting there, but something seemed off about her... And why was she on the ground like that anyway? It was almost like she was trying to hide...

Drake's respone ssuprised Shien-Zen, he had never heard Drake speak that way. Shien-Zen landed in front of Drium, who did not look the least bit suprised to see him, in fact, he looked more suprised to see the dragon. He rolled his eyes at Drium's attempt to make light of the situation. As usual, Drium made his stupid jokes and poor attempts at witty observations. He looked at Drake, and could tell that Drake was ready to attack.

"I am pretty sure when you rob and kill people, you do not let them wait until 'another time' before you do so, theif. So now..I am going to punish you, like I should have done before. I was confident that you learned your lesson from our last encounter, but you did not."

He was actually about to attack, but then he heard Drake speak into his mind. Someone else, he thought? He looked the same direction that Drake was looking, at first he couldn't see anything, she was so well hidden. But with one flash of his eyes, he noticed the vampire he also met earlier.

"Yes, this is perfect." He turned back to face Drake, his expression never changing. "Drake, the girl happens to be one of Drium's friends. She is not just a girl, by the way. You should be weary that she is a bloodthirsty vampire, who has killed many people in her time. I hope it would not be too much of me to ask; for you to secure her and make sure she does not interfere while I deal with this demon."

Drium snorted. “Valerie? A bloodthirsty vampire? Killed many people?” He erupted into laughter at the angel’s words. “Shows how much you know about her. She’s as harmless as they come.” He only threw a passing glance in Valerie’s direction, not needing to look very hard to find her on the ground, his assumption being that she fell, not that she was being sneaky. He didn’t want to think about why she was here; all he knew was that she was now in a dangerous situation and the angel was likely going to exploit this.

The current situation was beginning to wear on the demon’s patience. The wind was a bother, the plains were a bother, the angel was an idiot and a bother. Not to mention he had this likely brainwashed dragon pet, slave, thing at his command, and to top it all off the vampire Valerie was here to complicate matters. Why the hell was all this going down in this location? It was enough for the thief to simply scream in agitation. Of course, he wouldn’t, but the urge was there nonetheless.

“I’d advise you to keep your pet dragon away from her.” His voice was a dangerously low growl, eyes slits, flashing impulsively. Before he had even finished his sentence, his weapons were drawn, the blades suddenly glowing with a light yellow hue.

“I’ll have him gutted and hung out to dry before either of you even realize what happened.”

He didn’t even look at the dragon, his eyes glaringly focused on Shien-Zen. Drium was aware that his words would probably be laughed at. He knew full well about the dragon legends; how their scales were tough as nails and extremely difficult to pierce. He was also aware that those legends were based on mere human strength and didn’t take into account the untapped power that a demon like him possessed; something he was counting on to surprise both of them.

Valerie watched the action with interest until suddenly people were looking at her. "Crap dangit!"She muttered angrily realizing the dragon was being sicked on her. She stood up ready to fight. But Drium looked annoyed. She blinked a few times and hoped beyond hope that she wouldn't have to fight off a Dragon. She was strong..but not that strong. Her face went dark at Drium's comment though. She could be mean! She wasn't all of a wimp!

Glaring silently at the group of people she walked forward slowly, turning on her seducing as she walked. Her walk made her look skinner, more sure of herself, and even taller. Basically, she turned sexy before their very eyes. Smiling at the group she sighed. "Oh, I haven't hurt anyone Angel."She said staring at him trying to keep her eyes unwaveringly dark. She kept the bloodthirstiness out of them. Just watching him with dark eyes. "I mean I haven't hurt anyone who didn't already deserve it, I don't kill to be happy."She pouted putting her hands on her hips. Oh this better work! Glancing at the Dragon she smirked. "Down boy."She said amusement glinting in her eyes. "Don't make me hurt you too."She said puckering her bottom lip and blinking. "That would be such a shame!" She giggled darkly, darker then she meant to, it almost sounded...evil. Oh she would show Drium that she could be mean! She could be...bloodthirsty, and harmful! Even if she had to show him in a time that she shouldn't have shown him. She'd show him! She had the guts to call someone out.

"Drium, I didn't know you thought so highly of me."She said giggling darkly again. "I can be just as mean as I want to, but I prefer not to." She smiled at him darkly, her fangs exposed. Oh this was not the right time! Right. She covered them up quickly and turned her attention to the angel and to the dragon. "Now, I would mind it if you didn't hurt my friend please, he hasn't hurt anyone recently, so there is no need to hurt him!"She said laughing darkly, her eyes growing darker by the second.

"Yes, Drium, she is a bloodthirsty vampire. Drake, do not listen to him. He will lie to you and tell you all sorts of things to get out of this. He is weak, and not even a threat to us. Remember, you are not killing the vampire.." He said to Drake, as he looked over at Valerie. "But rather..making sure she does not interfere while I take care of this filth."

Yes, she was attractive to Shien-Zen's eyes when she used her seductive abilities against him. Even if she was attractive to him, which she was not, because Shien-Zen still saw her as an evil that needed to be punished. He let her speak to him, he shook his head, he would not allow himself to be attracted to such a low level creature. It was stupid, really. She was a vampire, a creature of the underworld, and he was a seraph. It just was not going to work, though it was tempting. He pointed at Valerie.

"Do not lie to me, you parasite. You know you have killed many people, and so has this demon. It matters not if it was recent or if it was not, the fact of the matter is, that it did indeed happen. You are not the one who will judge if they 'had it coming' or not. You are just another wretch that needs to be cleansed from the world."

With that, he turned to face Drium once again, standing in a confident stance as his wings spread out a little from their relaxed position.

"And she will be taken care of momentarily."

Drake listened to the conversation, becoming more annoyed. Not with Shien-Zen this time, with the demon and the vampire... Both were sounding like arrogant jerks. Drake said to both of them, Do you really think I'll be such an easy opponent? Unless you can fly after me, I don't think you stand much chance of doing so! To demonstrate his point, Drake flew up higher into the air... Although he'd already been pretty much out of reach.

However, as it went on, Drake did note that Shien-Zen sounded almost a bit too extreme. Drake had killed many people too, but only bandits like he'd been fighting when he met Shien-Zen. Did Shien-Zen really know about the people Valerie (as Drium had called her) had killed? And even Drium, if he did regret past actions truly, Drake wouldn't be such a harsh judge if he himself could... Drake shook the thoughts off, it didn't matter now, especially when Shein-Zen said that he was only to keep her from interfering. He needed to focus, and not let his mind wander off to pointless places over pointless things, as they sometimes did...

Drake breathed out a warning gout of flame right in front of Valerie, and said Stay back! Please don't make this difficult. Drake wasn't actually trying to sound threatening. More like, he wouldn't back down. Drake watched Valerie closely, the slight bit of doubt nagging at his mind again... But it was always there. That one little part of his brain that was only interested in annoying him. He'd learned to ignore it by now...

Valerie watched the exchange. Wench? Is that what she was? She rolled her eyes her hands on her hips. "Oh really. Is a person who only takes blood from those who deserves it really a wench? Do you think I choose my blood from children or something?" She was infuriated now. This low life angel who thought he was all that was judging her simply because she had to kill to survive, actually thought that she would kill innocent people. "You have no idea what type of life I've had to deal with, I'm not complaining anymore, because the people I kill are exactly the type of people YOU go after."She said her hair getting frizzy with anger. "You kill to cleanse the world of bad people, well guess what, SO DO I."She said his fists clenched.

"Just because I need to drink their blood so I can LIVE in the first place."She said glaring at him. "Doesn't mean you have to go and judge me because of what I am, because of what I do. I kill bandits, sure I make a friend along the way, just because he's a bandit doesn't mean shit!" She could feel her hand starting to frizz up out of control in pure anger. She jumped out of the way of the fireball thrown at her. "You stay out of this pussy cat."She said glaring at the Dragon. "This is between me and the 'Angel.'"She said drawing quotes with her fingers in the air around 'angel'.

Drium simply stood there as the three threw insults all around, each trying to explain their point or counter one thrown at them. The voices were bothersome, adding to the grand irritation that was accumulating within him. His fists clenched tightly on his dagger’s grips, his shoulders became hunched and his muscles tensed. The thief shook lightly, the black fur on his feline ears standing on end as he closed his eyes, brows furrowing tightly. It was all simply too much for him to bear and his anger was mounting much faster than anything he was familiar with.

He could feel it welling up inside of him and threatening to overflow and there was very little he was going to do to stop it. His eyes shot open with flash as he bellowed; his voice loud enough to cut through the air and over the wind and other’s voices without even trying “ENOUGH!”

Without any more pretenses, he burst into action. They were all getting on his nerves and as far as he was concerned, they could all just die. Of course, he knew that this wasn’t going to happen just because he wished it to. The thief literally bolted towards Shien-Zen, his movements kicking up dust as he suddenly rushed him; fueled entirely by rage. He forcibly stabbed a dagger forward, the electrified blade aimed towards the angel’s face. The movement wasn’t stationary, for at the same time his right arm was held out, the serrated edge of his dagger moving under the stabbing arm from the far left to the far right to cut across the angel’s midsection.

He listened to the woman's plea, not getting angry at all. He rather enjoyed her speech about how she does the same thin that he does, except his way, and he flashed his eyes at her..they widened for a second..her..soul was actually good?! This whole time he was actually wrong about. But when Drium shouted at him, he snapped back into reality.

It was still in the back of his mind..that he now owed the vampire an apology. He, the seraph, MUST apologize to the vampire at some point and time, and soon. He did not want to build any negative marks against him from his overseer's. But he'd have to do that later, as now Drium was bolting towards him now, ready to fight. Which is what Shien-Zen wanted in the first place..

He looked at the blades, it was a simple straight foward attack. The first blade was coming toward his face. There were a few things he could do; one of them being to simply dodge. But that's not how Shien-Zen thinks when it comes to fighting. With his left hand, he pushed against Drium's right arm before the dagger hit his face. When he pushes against it, he uses the momentum of the push to spin himself out of the way of the other dagger that would come toward his midsection, and at the same time, send the back of his left fist toward Drium's back.

Drake was beginning to feel his doubt more strongly now. If this woman's words were true, and Shien-Zen still wanted to kill her, then... Well, Shien-Zen would be his enemy as well. Who someone was and what they were were two separate things entirely. However, that really didn't matter at this exact moment. He didn't know the truth yet, so for now, he would do as he needed to, although he would have rather helped Shien-Zen against Drium right now.

Drake breathed another small bit of flame in front of Valerie, still not trying to hit, only warn. Drake said to her, so that neither Shien-Zen nor Drium could hear, I said stay back! I don't want to hurt you if what you say is true, I slay bandits myself, and I don't believe that race or anything like that has any bearing on who you are. As Drake spoke, he stared right at her. His eyes, though he wasn't calm enough for them to be normal green instead of the golden iris, flaming slit pupil version, still showed caring, and confusion.

Drake wasn't a merciless judge there to rain down punishment on those who did anything wrong. He was just a young man who wanted to help people... And happened to be able to turn into a dragon. I don't know the truth in any of this, so I have no better option than to do as Shien-Zen said at this moment, but I have no desire to harm you. Please, stay back!

Drake hoped that she would listen. He wished he knew the truth... That was all he needed, to help him do what he believed was right, the truth. He hated this confusion he had, unrelenting, always making his path unclear. He supposed that everyone had it... He still hated it.

Valerie yelled out when Drium attacked. "Stop it!"She screamed running forward only to be pushed back by a shot of fire. She turned and glared at the Dragon. She could already feel her skin bubbling slightly with the light contact on her skin. She stared at him silently. "He is going to hurt my friend! You can't just let him do that!"She said staring at the Dragon. "I don't know you anymore then you know me, but I will NOT just stand around and watch my friend get hurt!"She yelled out and rushed forward while he stayed there, distracted.

"Drium, Angel, stop it!"She said running up to the group, a dagger in her hands, which she had grabbed from her boot as she had ran. "I don't want to have to hurt you both, I really don't..but if I am forced."She said staring at the two. "Let him go Angel."She said not caring about his real name, or if she even KNEW his real name. She didn't remember little details like that. So it was simply angel to her. She gritted her teeth and gripped the dagger tighter. "Let him go or I swear!"She said glaring at him. "I swear you will be the next on my list."She said baring her fangs. She knew it wasn't a good thing to say to someone like this angel, but she had to have SOMETHING to be worth while about. Not just the compassionate loser, who had friends even though they should be running in fear of her.

Glaring at Shien-Zen she set her face rigid, ignoring the Dragon, not even looking at Drium. Her eyes locked on his. "Just because..you have the power to hurt someone, doesn't mean you should."She said her teeth clenched. "Because someone TELLS you to cleanse the world, sometimes doesn't mean you should, what if someone killed someone, in defense for his family? Does that make him evil? What if that person he killed murdered his family? Is he evil?"She asked holding her dagger up. "Let him go."She said moving closer to them.

Drium ignored Valerie; not that he was paying much attention to her in the first place. Though he was kind of, sort of, attempting to defend her, at the same time she too had annoyed him and he wanted to teach her a lesson too. She’d just have to wait until the angel and the dragon had been dealt with was all.

The demon growled when his attacks missed, his eyes locking onto the angel and not leaving him when he dodged to the side and attempted a counter attack. Shien-Zen simply didn’t have the reach to avoid the wide swing and to connect with a backhand to the demon’s back. The fist did hit him however, managing to merely knock into his shoulder, the blow being shrugged off with ease.

Drium whirled around to face him, eager to cause some damage, his right handed dagger slicing through the air to slash the angel at the elbow. At the same time, he rushed Shien, aiming to tackle the angel while burying the electrified dagger he held in his left between the angel’s ribs.

Victory Declaration

His fist missed the back of Drium, and he sighed to himself, taking a step back as Drium ran toward him. Valerie said something to him, but he was not paying attention, too focused on trying to defeat Drium. This time was different from their first encounter with each other, Drium seemed to actually put up more of a fight this time, and he saw that Drium was running toward him.

A slice was coming toward his elbow, and he did not feel he had the speed or anticipation to completely evade it. Instead he raised up his left hand as it glowed with white light. The slice cut across his arm, as he attempted to move it out of the way of Drium's attack. He winced at the slice, it was not too deep. That arm was stunned, however, but he resisted the shock, and would not let it stop him from continuing.

When Drium attempted to run into the seraph with the blade, the hand erupted with a beam of holy light that he would aim at Drium's chest. He hoped this would stop him from running into him, and at the same time, hoped the holy light would do a reasonable amount of damage to the demon.

The wielder of the Light that dispels the void.

Drake paused at Valerie's words. Wouldn't let her friend get hurt? She definitely didn't sound like she would be stopped. If he was going to keep her from jumping into the fight, then he'd probably have to hurt her pretty badly... Then he heard the words she spoke to Shien-Zen... He made up his mind. He knew he couldn't stop her without harming her more than he was willing to do.

Drake wasn't sure if this was the right thing to do... But none of the other options he saw seemed any better. Drake let out a loud roar, which seemed to echo across the very sky. He then basically shouted to all of them there, Enough! Drake then said, so everyone could hear, I don't really know what's going on here, but I don't think I can hold Valerie back without doing more harm than I'm willing to. Drake continued, frustrated, Is this fight necessary?! Shien-Zen, do you really know if Drium is just some heartless monster? You made him sound like he is, but I can tell that Valerie herself isn't, and he seems to be her friend. I don't know much of anything about what's going on, but I can't take watching this anymore without knowing anything!

Drake really was sick of this. He was no better off now than when he had just been a randomly wandering bandit-slayer! Since he met Shien-Zen (not really a huge amount of time ago) there had been nothing but extremely confusing situations with Shien-Zen going berserk against people they met. At least when Drake had been fighting random bandits, he had known what was going on, but now he just felt confused and frustrated, and he couldn't take just watching this and trying to convince someone to stay back when they obviously won't do so.

Valerie glared at them, they had completely ignored her! Just blown her aside and kept fighting. She knew her hair was going to be sticking straight out soon from anger, when suddenly a roar behind her made the ground shake. She spun around to stare at the Dragon. She listened to him for a moment and then let a small smile cross her features. Walking towards him she looked up at him. "I know how you feel."She muttered glancing back at the fighting Shien-Zen and Drium. Taking a deep calming breath she flattened her hair with her hand. "Thank you for not hurting me."She said very carefully making sure her voice was calm.

Glaring at the fight she looked away. "Just let them have their childish fight."She said turning her back on them. "What does it matter to me? We both know they're strong enough to fight each other and survive...though it does make me angry that Angel there doesn't talk to someone to see if they are all right before he goes attacking them. I've met quite a few people who seem like completely terrible person, but when you talk to them you realize they aren't at all, in fact they are complete sweethearts, and the tough exterior is their way to survive."She said softly. Wow, that had to be the longest she had ever just stood and talked, calmly anyway.

Glancing up at the Dragon she smiled. "Come on down, I won't hurt you."She said carefully. "Those two buttheads probably didn't even hear what we said."She said rolling her eyes. "But if they want to fight..so be it, but if he hurts Drium anymore than a scratch I'm going to rip his head off."She said turning to watch them again. "Warning stated, lets watch."She said sitting down with a soft thump of dust around her.

The feeling of his blade digging into skin upped the demon’s adrenaline and he couldn’t help smirking to himself despite his anger. At this point he didn’t even hear the words of Drake and Valerie; his mind so focused on the angel, to harm him in any way possible.

He saw the light attack coming, but decided to take it in order to land his own, figuring that anything Shien-Zen managed to do to him would be worth being able to make the seraph bleed some more. As the angel fires the light beam at him, Drium whips his arm out, underneath the beam itself, and sends one of his daggers sailing straight through the space between them to stab Shien-Zen in the stomach. Of course by doing this, Drium was unable to avoid the beam of light used against him and took the full blast to the chest. At such close range he is sent flying back, but the agile demon is able to shift his weight in midair, landing crouched on the ground, the hand that now lacked a weapon flat against the earth.

Drium paused in this position for a moment, gathering himself and assessing the damage before lifting his head and grinning at Shien-Zen between winces. The area of his chest that was hit by the light smoldered and he gingerly touched it before quickly pulling his hand back. The attack actually hurt him quite a bit, but he was a glutton for pain and his pride would never allow him to outwardly show that he was ever more than slightly harmed by anything.

“That didn’t hurt nearly as much as I thought it would…” He growled before bursting out of his crouched position into a low run towards the angel.

"Are you talking about me? Oh, I know... I really must learn to control my soft, squishy heart." A pair of ominous, white hot eyes opened directly at the vampire's side, with apparently no body behind them.

What a commotion. He'd heard them from a mile away, seen the balls of light hurled down by the aerial reptile and the disgustingly holy glow of the seraph's light beam. Such a scuffle would only attract attention, and here on the plains, the four of them were as a giant sore thumb sticking out of the terrain of his new kingdom.

Gradually, tendrils of long, white hair materialized in the night around the floating eyes, followed by a throat, which led to shoulders. Draped upon them was a loose and open robe, black, made of the finest silks Kinaldi had to offer, a toned chest... stomach... a black belt made of dragon scales with a humble silver buckle... His pants were made from the same material as the cloth draped around his frame, tucked into a pair of black boots with heavy steel toes and intricately-designed steel shin guards. A pair of hands gloved in the same style as the boots materialized between the silks, and finally... a face, familiar only to one present, the vampire he was standing beside. There was a singular new addition to him this evening, a circlet of silver around his head which disappeared into his snowy locks with designs similar to something crafted by elves. It was the crown of Morrim.

"Salutations, Maggot Feed," he grinned broadly, then briefly turned his eyes up to the hovering dragon. "And to you as well, Stranger. Listen, Girl, I do... very much so regret to inform you... But you and your friends are no longer safe with simply avoiding the mountains. Alestrine Valley is mine now, just as well. As is the Loniar Swap, the Obsidian Plains, Kinaldi... In fact, haha, I own all of Morrim."

An arm swung around Valerie's neck, hugging her into his side in a friendly fashion as he pointed to the fellows engaged in a raging duel.

"What's going on over here? Who's tearing up my grass, mm?"
