Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members.

Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity.

But how long will that peace last?

It will happen, but might have to wait until Evona can work on it for a longer period of time! Expect teasers soon. Destination: Esiria. What will you find there? Adventure? Power? Love? Wealth? Or perhaps the story to last a hundred years? Esiria hasn't opened its borders just yet. But for a small, chosen few, those borders will mean nothing. You, the Player-Characters of Elenlond, as its heroes, villains, eccentrics and fantastics, will find Esiria's borders strung open. Like Susan did through Narnia's wardrobe, your characters will find themselves in a very different place. But whether it ends like Susan's tale is mostly up to you. If I've caught your attention by now, say so! Post away, and you'll get the full onslaught of juicy details in exchange for some of your own. Together, we'll prepare for your character(s)' personal adventure. The road will be full of surprises. But I guarantee, this won't be your regular text-based role-play. So post away, and prepare for a PM. NOTE TO NEWBIES: No deadlines set! All are welcome at any time. How fast you'll progress depends on our respective levels of busyness. We could wait to make the thread itself until things calmed down for you, quite easily -- most of what we're going to do right off the bat is not that big of a time-sucker: I just want to know more about the characters, about the players, and how they could best fit into the tapestry of Esiria (or stand out like a nuclear war zone in a thriving rainforest). It's a bit of planning, a lot of conversation, and me listening to every detail that drops off your lips (or fingers). Point blank, I see no reason to cap the number of people involved, and while the project might evolve as time goes by, I think there will remain a place for whoever wants to stumble in. If I do my job and make this interesting, then I'll be a very busy woman. Those who've replied: Awesome! I will send you all a debriefing bit soon. Those who haven't replied: C'mon! You have nothing to lose. Worse comes to worse you read the PM and say "nah."

I just wanted more info before I signed on for sure. Sphynx isn't leaving Andi though, so don't worry about that. He can have her for conquering all he wants. XP I might have to eventually send a pair though. If Nico goes, she want to bring Cain, but I haven't talked that over with Yori. I'm leaning towards sending Patrick, since he's is the most detailed history that I have of all my characters, but he might want to take Fin with him, if she wants to go that is.

Heck, if you think of some way I can serve in your plot, be it a through the strategic and collaborative OOC placement of PCs or NPCs, I'd be delighted to chip in.

I would actually need a reason. Right now I'm only considering Shadow and James, James because he originated from Esiria, Shadow because she was good friends with Evona. So... Yes.

I was serious about the wardrobe metaphor: many of you will be Susans. Some people will be offered the choice, and may choose to refuse it. Others will slip in unawares, and some will be dragged in by force. All depends what you're up for, have time for, and the most delicious scenario we dream up together.

And the analogy could have used Lucy, Susan, Peter, or Edmund: all of you will fill different roles in Esiria, just as they did in Narnia. Either way you're a Pevensie, even if you end up falling off of Esiria somewhere down the line (figuratively or literally). Either way, you'll make waves according to your own. There might be no white witch to vanquish, but there will be danger. And with Evona as my witness, you'll be better role-players by the end of it, and Esiria better for you joining in.
