| Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members. Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity. But how long will that peace last? Aaaah, it's that time of year again! As of June 17, 2009 Elenlond has officially turned five years old. Firstly, before we start with the festivities, I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to all of you who have kept this site alive over the last five years. I love having all of you here. <3<3<3 With that out of the way, let's get to it! We have a few events going on. I'll start with the OOC stuff. Firstly, Yori has set up a whole wack of games in the OOC. Have some fun with those and definitely take part in them, even if you only post once. The more the merrier, and it helps to bolster community spirit and all that jazz. Besides, I'm sure you guys will have tons of fun. Take a trip over to the Arcade to see what I mean. =D Secondly, Sphynx is running the Character Swap! I know some of you aren't entirely comfortable with the whole idea of Rping something you're not used to, but that's the point. XP You're supposed to try something new, and to try to see how well you can write someone else's character. It's purely for fun, so you guys should enjoy it while it lasts! It also adds to your overall post count, so for those of you looking for a few extra posts for one of your characters, you should get involved! Thirdly, I have set up a scavenger hunt. Clues are scattered throughout the forum, in random places - in forum descriptions, announcements, etc etc. So look hard! These clues correspond to a number of questions, some of which have multiple answers, which may be split up into two parts. If you do not give the exact answer, it will not count. This particular contest has two prizes:
Answers are to be private messages to MidnightShadow. Any answers that are posted will see the user disqualified. First two people to get all of the questions right will be the winners, and when they do win, will be posted here and the contest officially declared closed. =) Click here for the questions that the clues correspond to. Staff members are NOT allowed to participate in this. Lastly, we have an IC event, a ball hosted at the Citadel of Immateriality. For those of you who may be new, or who are too lazy to check your PMs (yes, you got one on all active accounts XP), the invitation is below:  Please be sure to read all of the information there before beginning to post. =) I think that's it, guys.
