Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity.

But how long will that peace last?

The ocean was calm today. The sun shined brightly above it, and the water sounded cool and relaxed. A light from the sky shined down onto the shore, and an angelic, holy figure slowly fell through it. His eyes were closed, and his arms were spread slightly, his hands completely open, palms showing. Finally he landed on the ground, and the light from above slowy began to fade. He opened his eyes, taking the ocean in full view.
"..So I am here now.."
He gazed down the ocean, watching the water move, the way the waves moved seemed to put him in a trance. After examining the ocean carefully, he then turned completely around, to see all of the beautiful landscape in front of him. His feet slowly lifted off of the ground, both of them at the same time and he flew foward, only a few inches above the ground, his wings glowing brightly.

The magician was sitting casually in the sand on the beach, a few yards away from the water’s edge, his legs crossed beneath him. He was silent and his eyes were closed as he took in the sound of the breaking waves and the feel of the sea air blowing against his clothes. A lone growl drew his attention and he peeked open an eye, smirking to himself at what greeted his vision. One of his various summons, this time a large, wolf sized creature stood before him, shadowy tail waving back and forth as shadows continuously dripped from its form. The creature had its forelegs spread a tad bit wider than its hind ones, its head lowered just a bit, while bright silver eyes stared at the magician expectantly.

“Good boy!” Razi cooed at the creature as he reached out a gloved hand to stroke the shadows of its head, to which the creature responded to by closing its eyes and tilting slightly to the side. The magician than reached down directly in front of him, lightly grabbing the small stick that the summon had brought to him. Pulling his arm back, he sent the wooden thing soaring forward, spinning as it made its way through the air. As soon as the object had been out of his grasp, the summon had taken off after it, bolting along the sandy beach to retrieve it whilst leaving flecks of shadow in its wake.

As the creature chased the thrown item, something caught the magician’s eye in the air above where his pet was heading. “Eh?” He watched as the bright looking thing began its descent on the beach.

“Oh look… A visitor…” He mused aloud before crackling to himself.

Shien-Zen moved foward through the air, and he looked ahead of him, seeing the shadow creation he made. His expression was blank, he was not exactly sure what to make of ths. He was a logical person, he couldn't just walk up to something, and because of it was of the darkness, or in this case, shadows, assume it was evil. However, there was something eerie about the man's presence. It didn't scream 'evil', perse' to Shien-Zen, but it did not necessarily scream good either.

"..I am still getting used to this Earth..my senses are thrown off..so I will have to follow my heart."

Whilst in Heaven, (which he isn't, so he doesn't have this ability) he can easily distinquish between good and evil when he looks down at the Earth. He started to approach the shadow magician .

Razi didn’t move from his position on the sand when the strange winged wonder that was now approaching him touched down to the earth. His elemental pet, curious, chased the flying one, nipping at his heels before it stopped and sank into a puddle of shadow on the ground. The puddle sped forward, easily passing the angel and stopped at Razi’s feet. The wolfish shadow creature then re-emerged, facing the one approaching. A maw filled with dual rows of black fangs was bared as the creature barked and then growled at the angelic one.

“Now now…” The magician said calmly, eyes sizing up the angel while attempting to put the creature at ease. “That’s no way to speak to our new… Friend…” A smile that was hidden from view by the bandages that covered his visage formed on his lips. “You, strange flying thing!” He announced loud enough for the angel to hear in a very authoritative tone while pointing. “State your name and purpose for being here!” His hand returned to its place in his lap whilst the creature, though obviously still wary and in the position to pounce, stared in silence. “It’s rude to enter a space without announcing your arrival you know.”

The shadow creature moved toward him and started to nibble at his ankles. He did not flinch or show any fear at all, and he wasn't scared of the little doggie, (as it was to him) biting on his ankles. But suddenly it disappeared, and he watched the shadow it turned into trace over to Razi.
"Ah..so it was only an illusion." He said to himself, plainly looking at the shadow magician. "And he..must only be a magician."
The magician then asked his name, however his tone was not the way that Shien-Zen was used to being spoken to..and it almost seemed disrepectful.
"He is just another filthy creature..." He said to himself. "Perhaps he needs to be taught to show respect to the ones that are over him."
He cleared hsi throat, preparing to answer.
"My name is Shien-Zen and I am here to assist in cleansing the land of all evil."

The magician laughed darkly at the man before him. The summoned creature understood the winged man’s words, and was also offended. Its lips curled up into a vicious snarl, a low growl in its throat and its silver eyes narrowing dangerously as its master spoke. Only an illusion?!” He yelled, hands clenching into fists. ONLY a magician?!” The anger in his voice was obvious, and his strange, reflective eyes flashed momentarily with rage before an air of calm superiority overtook him. “How pretentious…” He said with a smug laugh, suddenly seeming very nonchalant about the entire ordeal.

So this, Shien-Zen person was here to cleanse the world of evil. A laughable objective and one that likely wouldn’t garner any support or caring from the magician. Especially since the new arrival had the audacity to refer to the magician as a filthy creature. There was nothing filthy about him; he took hygiene very seriously.

“Perhaps before you partake on that quest, you should take a lesson in not making enemies where there were none before.” He eyed the stranger carefully before standing and waving his hand dismissively towards him. “Go away. Your presence displeases me.”

"Yes, only a magician. I do not fear you." Shien-Zen landed now, about ten feet from the magician. He saw the magician was angry, watching as he clenched his fists.
"Are you..something more than a magician, perhaps? Is there more to it? No, there is not. You are a magician, ONLY a magician."
He said this very confidently and sternly, and he obviously was not ready to apologize to this guy. "You seem to have a problem with me calling you a filthy creature. Perhaps if you addressed me with some respect, I would show you the same. You must offer respect to recieve it, and I am not here to make you happy. I am here on a mission. I hope you would not want to get in my way."

Razi had turned away from the angel to watch the ocean after he had dismissed him. It was a strange thing that, how the magician simply assumed that everyone he met would bend to his will and listen to his commands. Of course, when Razi told someone to leave him be it was the magician being merciful; he didn’t like to hurt people… Sometimes. However this new arrival didn’t seem to take the hint. His ignorance of the situation and the current, unexpected danger he was in both amused and irritated the tall, robed male.

When Shien-Zen finished speaking, the magician didn’t even turn to look at him. He took a deep, stabilizing breath and closed his eyes, letting the beach air wash over him. Snap. The crisp, loud sound of him snapping his fingers echoed through the air.

Immediately, the wolfish shadow elemental went into action, puffing up to its full size so that it was now reaching up to Shien-Zen’s waist in height. Right after that, it barreled forward and lunged at the angel. Its maw stretched open, dual rows of razor sharp black fangs exposed and shadowy claws that matched aimed at his chest. The creature had only one thing on its mind now that it was put into action: to tear the winged offender to pieces and present the mutilated corpse to its master.

The shadow magician turned his back on Shien-Zen. Shien-Zen watched carefully, and the sound of a loud snap reached his ears. His eyes caught the wolf creature, and it was growing in front of him. His eyes remained calm as the wolf began it's transformation, and in a matter of seconds, the giant thing was now standing in front of him, growling with it's dual rows of teeth. It was obvious to him that this wasn't just a illusion, as it lunged foward toward him. He had talked himself into a fight, apparenty. He couldn't that here..he forgot he was still getting used to his new environment..so he's lacking alot of his powers and a lot of his skills. He glided to the side and out of the way, watching as the Wolf flew past him.
"I think you got the wrong idea." He said, looking to the magician. "I do not wish to fight. I just wanted you to show some respect."

The angel avoided the elemental’s lunge. The creature landed behind him, paws skidding in the sand as it turned round, chomping at the air, ready to lunge again. The magician turned to look at the scene, his hands held together at the small of his back, eyes narrowed. He shot the summon a glance and it stopped its second attack, skidding to a stop. The look in Razi’s eyes, combined with his height and posture led to an overall feel about the magician that was quite regal. “Respect is not handed to the needy. It is rewarded to those who have earned it.” He said to the angel, his voice deep and knowledgeable.

“Now. Say you’re sorry.” He chastised in a voice akin to an adult talking to a child. However his tone changed quickly to a more threatening one. “Or the only respect you’ll be receiving is when people pass your burial site.” To emphasize this point, the elemental stalked behind the angel, pacing slowly and staring him down, waiting for any hint to continue its attack.

He heard the elemental skid across the ground, but Shien-Zen did not look to face it, he kept his eyes focused on the magician. His calm expression quickly turned to a glare when he basically told Shien-Zen that he would not give respect.
"Needy? Umm..excuse me.."
Now he kind of did want to fight the guy, but he knows in his current state he would not win. This guy was really full of himself, he even went as far as to ask Shien-Zen to apologize. And that was definitely not happening. What would it look like..a high ranking seraph to apologize to a lowly magician. He shook his head to the guy, and his eyes thinned with a slight irritation.
"I already explained I am not looking for a fight..and that is the best you are going to get out of me, as far as that is concerned.

Razi listened to the other speak once more, his responses not being anything that the magician cared to hear. He did however repeat that he was not looking for a fight, which slightly disappointed the shadow magician, but was still acceptable nonetheless. “For an angel, you certainly aren’t very humble…” The magician looked the figure up and down, a slightly disgusted tone in his voice. He then nodded at his summoned creature, which then shrank back down to its deflated size; the ferocity it had harbored dissipating into nothing. The creature didn’t immediately go back to its master’s side however, instead opting to continue pacing behind the winged visitor.

“How disappointing. Aren’t you celestial creatures supposed to be more…” He searched for the correct word, idly moving his right hand in a circle before him while he did so. “Virtuous?” He asked curiously. “You know… Kindness, Humility, Temperance and all that.”

“Are you sure you’re an angel? I have yet to see you display those things.” He questioned with a laugh, his tone joking though he was being quite serious.

Before the male could respond, Razi put a finger to his chin, thinking aloud about the situation. “Then again, I don’t believe you actually said you were an angel in the first place; I suppose my own assumptions and visions run amok every now and again, but I digress….” He trailed off then, now simply watching the male with a blank expression, waiting for him to speak.

He took a peak at the creature behind him as the magician speak. It began to shrink, and look a lot less ferocious. This was good..it meant he succesfully convinced the magician to stop attacking him. He turned to look back at the magician, listening carefully to every word that he said. This time the magician challenged his authenticity..or did he? He had to think for a second of how to properly answer the hot headed magician.
"Right, I never said that I was an angel. You are halfway correct in your assumption, however."
His wings relaxed, the glow around them disappearing as he lowered to stand on the ground, his arms still folded.
"I am a seraph, which is a much higher ranking angel..and different from your typical basic angel. I was not created to be nice."

Razi watched as the male checked out the summon behind him. His eyes narrowed then and the summon gave a whimper before vanishing suddenly in a burst of shadows. Razi listened to Shien-Zen speak, his mind rustling through the extensive knowledge base that was housed in his head. In his time as a traveler, the magician has had run-ins with all types of creatures and beings from all planes of existence. The heavenly one was no exception, though he had to admit this was the first claimed Seraphim he had made contact with. “Curious.” He breathed while watching the wings relax as Shien-Zen lowered himself to the ground.

Razi studied the other for several long moments before speaking; there were a couple things he felt needed to be cleared up. Simply for the sake of his own internal library. “From my understanding of the angelic hierarchy and their various functions, the Seraphim are meant to resonate purification and love.” He paused. “Do you think you can do that while not being…. ‘nice’?” Razi challenged. His words weren’t aggressive in nature and sounded open and free as if he was simply having a casual chat with longtime friend.

"Well..your understanding of my race is incorrect." Shien-Zen said, almost laughing at Razi's belief. "While there are some seraphs that are inherently nice and caring, I am not that type. I am the punisher..I am the one who passes judgment." His eyes closed for a moment, as he thought for a brief second, and then they opened.
"The seraph you know do not exist in this world..only in fairy tales. The people that live here..their souls, they are all tainted..I could see it before I descended down here from my native land."
He looked up to Razi. "So..until I figure out how to restore my senses to the way they are supposed to be..I am almost blind."

Carefully the magician listened, taking each statement made by the angel and analyzing it completely before moving on to the next, his own thoughts, conclusions and theories formulating in his mind. After Shien-Zen finished, he did not immediately respond, instead just standing there for the better half of two minutes before responding.

“I see…” His tone was very foreboding, holding a sense of gravity as if Shien-Zen’s words heralded the destruction of the entire universe.

“So basically what you’re telling me is that angels are not the embodiment of truth, goodness and light as people have been led to believe. But instead are actually pompous, self-righteous beings with an over inflated sense of self who believe it their right to pass judgment on others.”

The magician was quiet after that, his words having been monotone and lacking any hint of the eccentric and chaotic personality that described him. The look he was giving the angel was blank, yet intense. He had stared unblinkingly at him throughout his entire speech and now the strange, reflective eyes seemed to threaten to burrow into the angel’s skull and peruse the matter that rested there.

“You say all the souls of the land are tainted, but I would not think it hard to suspect that the blanket of judgment you have thrown over all who live here also hovers over your own head.”

He paused, an eerie stillness about him. “I agree… You are almost blind and your senses dulled… But not in the way of which you speak.”

Razi did not respond immediately, he could tell the man was thinking about something. He responded to him, and his tone implied something was wrong. Shien-Zen had to revaluate how he presented his case to Razi. He convinced Razi that he was a bad guy, but in all actuality, this was not true. He was fairly new to being a seraph, and was still determining on his own what exactly his purpose is.

Razi almost seemed to imply that HIS soul was the one that was tainted, but he ignored that comment, figuring Razi was out of his mind..
"I stand corrected. No, not every single soul on this here land is tainted, but the majority, yes, yes they are..their souls must be cleansed and they must repent for their sins."

He nodded his head once, his arms folding, wondering what the shadow magician would say to him.

“Hmh.” Was all the magician responded with after the angel restated what he had meant. Now all that Razi did was look at the angel, analyzing his movements and disposition. With a narrowing of eyes, he decided that he was not too fond of the one who stood before him. His dislike for Shien-Zen wasn’t strong however; just a general dislike that would manifest as just rather not being in his company. Of course, the magician was not one to take his judgment of a single individual and apply it to a group as a whole, so he still held onto his belief regarding the purity of mind that he applied to the angelics.

After a moment he cleared his throat and shook his head slowly, decidedly finished with the debate at hand. He was still curious as to the general topic however and there were still some things he needed to question this angel about. “Shien-Zen…. Is it?” He asked, his voice slightly curt.

“How exactly do you plan on going about ‘purifying’ tainted souls if you are clearly unprepared for such a task?”

"I am still regaining my power..when I get used to this land, and I have regained all of my necessary powers, I will begin my initial mission."

Shien-Zen lowered his head for a second, his eyes closing for a briefly. He felt something within him, something changing. He opened his eyes and they sparked for a second as he looked at Razi. Things were much clearere for him now, and he let out a small smirk to himself, for now, he could take a brief peek beyond Razi's body..and into his soul. It may have been only a brief couple of seconds, however for Shien-Zen, it was a very long time. He closed his eyes, the spark disappearing, and reopened them, his expression turning smirky.

"So..you are not sure what side you are on? You just do as you please? Neither light nor dark?" He thought to himself, maybe this creature was created that way..it wasn't his fault he was of Chaotic alignment. But this piqued Shien-Zen's interest. "Why are you unable make a decision?"

The shadow magician nodded at the angel’s explanation of his plans. In truth, he did not think they held much weight, but he would wait to see exactly what would happen. If he succeeded in his goals, good for him; if not, no matter, this creature would still be of interest to keep tabs on.

Razi quite literally snorted at Shien-Zen’s description of his so-called alignment, his words partially invoking a primal rage. “Do not speak as if you have even the slightest idea of what you try futilely to understand.” His voice was suddenly very irritated sounding, his mirror eyes narrowing and flashing dangerously. “There is no side to take, you twit! Chaos is not indecision and it cannot be explained, only described.”

The magician gives a haughty laugh before his voice fell into a calmer, more serene tonal range. “What you describe is not chaos in its purest, but merely chaotic neutral, though why I am explaining this to you is beyond my own understanding.” The look in his eyes faded, though they did not cease being narrowed.

“Do not think yourself sly, Shien-Zen, and keep your analyzes to yourself. Your ignorance, despite your divinity, is almost overwhelming.”

”Now!” It seemed as if he suddenly didn’t care about the angel’s words, his mind having already moved on to another topic. ”What can you do that would be of amusement?”

If Shien-Zen could curse the magician out right now, he would. He fumed with anger, in fact he was so angry that the aura around him turned brighter. But it was only for show..he was not ready to fight someone of the magician's calibur just yet. Though he really wanted to..he wanted to so badly, and if he could destroy the guy at this very moment he would..but he just simply did not have the firepower needed to destroy this clown..

However, he could already begin to see into the souls of the inhabitants, meaning his powers were indeed coming back to him, slowly but surely. He knew nothing good could come out of this conversation, Razi did not like Shien-Zen, and Shien-Zen did not like Razi either. His wings spread and they glowed brightly, not too bright, however.

"You will regret talking to me like that. You are just another being who needs to learn respect, another being who needs to be punished..and you will, but at a later date."

With that he shot up into the air, glaring down at Razi furiously. How dare Razi talk to him like that, so he thought..

Razi could see that the angel was fuming and he smirked inwardly in response; the anger that the celestial was presenting was more than enough amusement for the magician. He’d have to check this off of his list of things to do while he was exploring this land.

He laughed at the angel’s threat and gave an exaggerated bow, thoroughly pleased with himself for being able to upset an angel so easily.

“I eagerly await our next meeting, Shien-Zen…” He purred, mostly to himself as his mirror eyes watched the angel shoot up into the air and eventually out of sight. Once he was certain the angel was gone, Razi gave a small sigh and turned away to face the ocean, his shoulders sagging.

“Ohhh… I do hope that was the right thing to do… Making an enemy out of one of the heavenly army…” His eyes then brightened and he threw back his head as his loud, crazed laughter echoed out across the ocean.

“This’ll be fun…”
