| Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members. Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity. But how long will that peace last? First and foremost, hello. I've been poking around the site, but before I (and a friend of mine, though I'll get into that in a moment) register, I just had a few questions regarding some basic character outlining me said friend were doing, earlier. Essentially, I've decided that I want to run this by this site's higher-ups, primarily so I know whether this idea is allowable. The idea is as follows: My friend and I are planning on playing two demon characters; specifically, one perhaps taking a more humanoid form, as well as a 'leadership' role (at least in character), and a second character, in physical form resembling something akin to a "hellhound" (a big, demonic rottweiler, in short description). This second character would be, in a manner of speaking, bound or chained by a geas or some other binding means, into a role of slave/guardian. Abilities notwithstanding, which are still being thought over, is this idea more or less plausible? My friend are trying to think of ways in which to incorporate a pair of characters that are largely connected to one another. Though, I'd like to stress that this won't detract from either of us writing separately or with other members of the site. |

That would be more than fine. One of our members, Yorishine, has actually created something of a hellhound who is to be enslaved to one of our other member's character. So having that sort of relationship is more than welcome. I also don't believe we're too picky on whether or not you two would be always writing together - I think it's relatively understandable if the two characters are bound together that they should be together most of the time. But that's something for you and your friend to work out, and for you to work out among the other members. Don't stress about the abilities, either (a lot of people seem to). It's a lot more relaxed than you think, and if there are any issues, a PM will be fired your way to try and work things out. I'm pleased to see that the two of you are considered joining. =) We'd be more than happy to have you (and another baddie, for which Wolfe's plot would probably like to see more) both. If you have any more questions, by all means post here and I, Sphynx, or Yorishine will get back to you ASAP. |

Heh. And here I was hoping there wouldn't be anything like copycatting going on. xD By us, I mean. We may change our ideas and plans - we're probably still going to brainstorm and come up with other possibilities, just as a matter of course, and because it never hurts to think up possibilities. We will, however, inevitably decide on something and join. Nevertheless, though characters may be bound together, it's almost like not making full use of something available if we don't write and interact with other members. Neither of us really want to do abstain from writing with anyone else. Also, I made mention of the abilities because neither of us has decided as of yet, though I personally have a few ideas already for various starter abilities as well as abilities to add as I garner more to work with. In fact, a few that I was contemplating for a sort of hellhound would have been three related to skills, strength, speed, and highly perceptive senses, an ability to use shadows as a means of fast transportation/teleportation to any other easily visible shadow within visual range, and perhaps the ability to create/manipulate fire. Anyway, I'm much obliged for the reply. My friend and I will chat things over, and decide on something. In the meantime, I'll poke about some more around the site. |

This is the aforementioned Wolfe. I would love to know if you do plan for your characters to be less than moral, in which case, I would also love to know if you wanna get in on some baddie plot action...... Based on if you do or do not, the situation may give you some inspiration as to who/what would be a good fit and fun to play. Yes, we're certainly planning on characters that won't exactly be classifiable as "good guys," to say the least. We're still toying with ideas: a pair of demons, a pair of selfish and malicious Kitsune, etc. But, we will definitely be running with the idea of villains in one sense or another. Perhaps not pure, unadulterated, malevolence pissing, world-destroying evil, per se, but antagonists nevertheless. XD How about demon kitsune? Alright, anyway... gonna comment on the kitsune and say that we do have some, but they're all pretty much goodie-goodies. *owns one... is a guilty party* =O But, when I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen a malicious kitsune character. How odd... *curls up on head* =3 Psst- I'm three-thirds crazy. |
