| Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members. Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity. But how long will that peace last? It would be powerful if I didn't leave the outcome of it to the other player, but since I do, it's really not too bad... Worst part is that he sees yer fear, and thaz a simple spell. |

AHAHAHAHA! Andi is at 50 posts!!! DOOM UPON YOU ALL!!! Okay, lil note about the Abyssal spell. I've been rolling this around in my head since day 1 of joining you guys. I referenced the tutorial page, about how these spells may be strong enough to take a building down. Firstly, I still don't think even in that state he COULD level a building, and even so, reaching intermediate, I thought it be fair if you had to endure twice the regular Andi considering he's really nothing special without his spells. =\ I also noticed while writing the spell that you may have problems with all it involves, but then I thought to myself "Hey... there are characters running around here with abilities like 'Animal Abilities' that darn well encompass multiple points as well." On the basis of that, I am solid in the belief that this ought to be fine. Not to mention this is only an amplifier, not really an additional spell. It doesn't do anything different. I have thought this through muchly. =D New Ability – Intermediate

I see you have put a lot of thought into this. But before it all gets approved, I had a question about the first ability, the Venomous Miasma. Is this vapor something that he always breathes out of his lungs, or can he choose when to breath the poison gases and when not to? |

Well I wasn't sure which it was, but as a spell, I think it is just fine. And I agree with you on the second one. It is basically a shapeshifting spell, and since it is an intermediate trait, instead of a simple one, I think the extra increases can be accepted. So I approve. |

Moohoohahaha... Party time. Cloak of Many Shadows - Using this spell allows the caster to transform their physical appearance and voice into a replica of someone they have already seen (for PCs, people I have shared a thread with). While it may be completely convincing to the eye, if one is attempting to truly pass off as the individual they are imitating, they must as well impersonate the target's personality, which is something this spell has no control over. Spell may last for twenty-four hours. Intangent - Andromalius may now control his immaterialization to its full extent, capable of passing through objects such as walls and weapons. When intangible, only metaphysical magic may harm or influence him (ie: psychic attacks, certain necromancy spells, etc). Unfortunately, he can only remain intangible for one post before having to flicker back to the physical realm, but can do it again every other post. In this state, he is technically nothing but a spirit, giving him the side-effect of being able to see into that plane of death. This allows no advantage but the ability to see other wandering spirits around him. The disadvantage to this is moderate disorientation and, at times, partial blindness to the physical realm. Abyssal: Omega - This is an upgraded version of its Alpha level, and quite more to contend with: -Physical Strength x 7 (Enough to take down eight grown, healthy men at once) -Stamina x 4 (Enough to take four times the damage) -Speed x 5 (Five times his usual speed, far too fast for a normal person to keep up with.) -Regeneration x 6 (Small wounds heal in seconds, broken bones set and mended in twenty minutes, otherwise fatal wounds merely crippling) His appearance in this state is twisted even more-so. Andromalius's skin will turn a shade of dark, blood red, his eyes glowing bright violet with vertical slits for pupils, a second set of horns will sprout from his hair behind the first two, and his muscles grow to represent that of a little less than a mountain of a man. The face mask fades away, instead stripping him of a nose and replacing his teeth with large fangs. His former red suit of armor melts, replaced by not but a pair of black, demonic gauntlets stretching the length of his arms, made of some sort of foreign metal, and black armored pants riddled with the same demonic substance. The bone of a tail remains, but grows in width, and can now be seen attached to the spine of his back, where the bone protrudes all the way up to the base of his neck. Lastly, his hair changes, no longer long, waving locks, but short two to three inch tresses, spiked back away from his face. His hands and feet remain massive claws. Also, regardless of how long he is in this form, he will have to rest immediately after, because while he cannot feel his exhaustion while in this state, he always feels it afterward. Levitation - At this point in time, Andromalius now possesses the capability of flight. He can carry with him as much as is comfortable, and may cast spells while this one is active, but he can only go so high as the lowest clouds. It is possible for him to be much faster in the air than on foot, but his speed is proportional to how close he is to the ground, such as, just above it, he can only retain his normal running speed, but high above, is capable of flying as fast as the swiftest bird (just below breaking any kind of sound barrier). This spell is used mostly for speedy transportation. Summon Dark Creature [Upgrade] - Caster may conjure shadow elementals to do their bidding. At this level, thirty-five can be created at a time and only controlled for six hours. After control is lost, they vanish. These creatures are simpler for a seasoned fighter to destroy, and even easier for a sorcerer of light, for they are very weak against it. The elementals are notably fast and resilient, but are only as strong as an adult man. Dark Matter Cannon - Andromalius may now manipulate dark energy into huge spheres of destructive light, capable of growing to the size of a forty-foot circumference. It carries with it the potential of a bomb, and is capable of wiping out many people at once, but if it collides into a particularly seasoned fighter with adequate defenses, they may be capable of phasing through it, which is also not a particularly pleasing feeling. Phasing through this cannonball feels reminiscent of one's soul being ripped from them. Of course, that isn't what actually happens, but the sensation is extremely disturbing and not without much pain. The same side-effects apply to this as his Dark Matter Blast, but before the actual attack, the light in the surrounding area will grow noticeably weaker, giving the enemy awareness if they have seen him cast this spell before. Decay - This spell is a controlled Midas Touch of decomposition. The more complex an object or creature is, the less damage is done. For instance, to wither a ten foot radius of vegetation is simple. The steel of a sword or armor may rust. However, if touching a living creature, only the specific appendage he touches will begin to age, IE: He touches your hand, you hand will age rapidly and lose its function. On living complex organisms, the effects of the spell will fade away within a matter of minutes, but it is exceptionally dangerous if he touches certain vital points such as one's throat or just where the heart or lungs are. This can lead to suffocation or organ failure, which will inevitably kill the target before the spell has a chance to ware off. Evil Eye - This is an intimidation spell primarily, which wreaks havoc on a target's psyche, but will otherwise leave them unharmed. He must have eye contact to activate this spell. When it is in effect, the target will be struck with an overpowering feeling of immanent destruction, sucking all hope from them for a brief moment. It is comparable to a glimpse into hell. Weak-minded men may temporarily lose their sanity and be left emotionally warped. Those with stronger wills, such as most PCs, will be paralyzed in fear for a minute and have to fight to completely shake it off for a few days to come, but in the short term experience nausea. Those with psychic resistance in their abilities will be paralyzed for a shorter time, and afterward merely second-guess if they wish to be in a close enough proximity to Andromalius to make eye contact again. Possible nausea may follow. Black Shield [Upgrade] - The upgraded version of the Black Shield comes in two inter-changable forms. The first is the physical shield of its lesser version, but larger, now nearly as large as a full-body riot shield. It may be summoned instantly on any side of the body. It must be in this form to block any physical attacks. Its second form is not physical and cannot be seen, therefor offers no physical protection, but instead offers defense against magic, psychic, and spiritual attacks. Any spells must be at least intermediate level to pennetrate, with the acception of dark magic which must be advanced. Light magic no longer has an advantage. Combination spells that have the combined damage of an intermediate spell may also pass through. ALSO ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ability Change Old Ability

Ether Detection - With this ability now in his arsenal, Andromalius is able to detect whether or not someone is a spell-caster through a sixth sense. In addition, this will also give him approximate knowledge of the spell-caster's skill level in magic. Hands of Darkness - The shadows may be called upon to aid the caster from their fixed location. Hands and tendrils will protrude from these environmental shadows and grasp at the caster's intended. Their range may only reach two feet, but it is incredibly easy to accidentally happen upon them, especially during a battle. If caught within them, they will attempt to beat and claw at the person while keeping them there, but with a lot of squirming and struggling, one may free themselves. Refraction - Caster may literally catch a spell-oriented projectile (fireball, light beam, etc), and in doing so, absorb its power. He may use this extra energy to heal himself, make his own projectiles stronger, or simply shoot the spell back at its own caster. The palm of the hand must make contact with the spell in order for it to work, otherwise damage will be taken. |

First two are good, but could you put a bit more detail into the last one? Like how much does it heal or how much stronger does it make his attacks? =3 |

Ooh never got denied before! Haha. Special. Refraction - Caster may literally catch a spell-oriented projectile (fireball, light beam, etc), and in doing so, absorb its power. He may use this extra energy to heal himself, make his own projectiles stronger, or simply shoot the spell back at its own caster. The amount of energy he gains from the attack depends entirely at the spell hurled. Simple spells, he may gain a small boost to amplify his own attack, or use it to heal himself of most shallow wounds. Likewise, if an advanced attack is hurled at him, it will amplify his own attack by double the damage, and he may heal a broken arm. The palm of the hand must make contact with the spell in order for it to work, otherwise damage will be taken. |
