SUMMER

Angkar: Wet season. Precipitation is common during the late afternoon and evening hours. Vegetation grows significantly during the summer, but flooding is a danger due to the monsoons that ravage the country. The rainforest sees evenly distributed rainfall throughout the season.

Ashoka: Desert: Extremely hot and dry. Violent, heavy downpours following long dryspells. Jungle: Hot and humid with frequent, violent rainstorms.

Morrim: Relatively hot and dry, but with a chance of thunderstorms from time to time. The heat may cause forest fires.

Soto: Hot and humid, tree cover is dense while ground growth is restricted. Thunderstorms see the most amount of rainfall during the season, and it can be very windy. On occasion, there are flash floods that can destroy homes and farms built on flood plains.

WHAT IS ELENLOND?

Elenlond is an original free-form medieval fantasy RPG set on the continent of Soare and the Scattered Isles, which are located to the south in the Sea of Diverging Waters. The four chief nations of the western side of the world—Ashoka in northern Soare, Soto in western Soare, Morrim in eastern Soare, and Angkar, the largest of the Scattered Isles—continue to experience growth and prosperity since the fall of the Mianorite gods, although power struggles within the countries—or outside of them—continue to ensue.

  • CURRENT EVENTS

Angkar: To honour the reinvigoration of the ancient city of Mondrágon, the majestic Queen Eulalia has permitted the opening of a Coliseum where people from around the world and all walks of life can test their combat skills against one another. Many have already done battle in search of honour, glory, prizes and money.

Ashoka: In an otherwise peaceful times, Ashokans are beset with the relatively minor inconveniences of wandering undead and occasionally-aggressive giant rock worms. There has also been some controversy over the recent re-legalisation of human sacrifice.

Morrim: Rumour has it that Emperor Leofric de Hollemark is mustering forces for a war. Though the threat from Soto’s forests has passed, the forces previously employed in watching the forest now linger at the border. Rumours also circulate of a small group that has been dispatched to make contact with the tribes of the Do’suul Mountains.

Soto: The Sotoans have defeated the fey and liberated themselves from Méadaigh’s oppression! Preliminary efforts have been made at rebuilding the city of Madrid, which had been captured at the beginning of the war. However, the Sotoans are hindered from recovery famine. Méadaigh’s magic caused summer to persist in the Erth’netora Forest through the winter. Her power has been withdrawn and the plants die as if preparing for winter – even though it is now summer. The Sotoans must sustain off what food they can get, what creatures they can kill and what can be imported into the city from Morrim and Angkar.

    CLOTHES
    • All Purpose - old black cloak
      • The one item of clothing to which Minno has always been inclined is her worn black cloak. Black through and through, although fading, it is a large garment with long sleeves and a large hood. Being particularly loose, it can conceal her wings easily, as well as hide most of her tail. However dirty and frayed it has gotten, it remains to be her favorite, as she relies on its thick material for warmth against the cold, and its hood for protection from rain and even prying eyes. It is uncommon, more so in cold weather, to find Minno without her cloak.

    • Modesty - white shirt, dark brown pants, leather boots
      • For when she is in a bare humanoid form, Minno has acquired a set of clothes besides her usual black cloak. This collection of clothing includes a mostly-white shirt that fits her fine, if not a bit loose. In the back of this garment are two evenly spaced cuts that run from the shoulders right down to the hem. These two openings are intended for Minno's wings, which could not form beneath the fabric's restraint. Worn under the shirt are a pair of brown pants, far less fitted than the shirt, with a hole also cut in the back near to the hem, meant to accomodate for her tail. Leather black boots will adorn her more sensitive human feet, although this is the least versatile part of her attire, as her natural form's feet are a deal longer and larger than the boots comfortably allow.

    COMPANIONS
    • Thunder - black dragon
      • Standing at around 30 feet tall on all four legs, Thunder can be a force to be reckoned with. His body is well defended; the majority of his exterior being covered in large black scales, and his underside lined with thick grey plates. The membrane of his wings is perhaps the most vulnerable part of his body, but even then it is thick- able to withstand against an onslaught of arrow-fire. Along his spine runs a single row of sharp black spikes, with a pair of ivory horns extending back from atop his great head. Thunder's eyes are bright and wild, colored with a distinctly feral gold.

Of his personality, most would say little. He has been known in the past for a savage temperment, but has since mellowed out in the shadow of Minno's own dark temper. While still prone to spurts of his reputable fury, Thunder is most often calm, with a sense of alertness about him. There are only two beings he has ever cared about, they being his brother Inferno and the doakar Minno, to whom he holds the most steadfast loyalty. Of the three, he is the most responsible, and finds more often than not that it is up to him to protect his small family, as the other two cannot ever seem to keep themselves safe.

    • Inferno - red dragon
      • A foot or two shorter than Thunder, Inferno is still a large beast. Coated in red scales and plated on his underside in tan, one would think him to be well protected. The tan membrane of his wings is also thick, and along his spine runs the same black spikes as his sibling, but he lacks the same horns. Despite his great stature and fearsome potential, Inferno has a gentle look about him, with expressive eyes of rich chocolate brown.

Thunder's younger brother, Inferno is more docile than his older sibling. Rather than fight, he'd much rather attempt peace with his enemy or just avoid conflict altogether. So being in a family where conflict seems to be two members' middle name has naturally been difficult, added then that both are older than he is, and one would understand his submissive nature. Most brutal on him is Minno, whose temper is the least restrained. Despite this, Inferno remains fond of her, having considered her as an older sister for the past many years. Although she doesn't openly admit it, Minno's feelings toward Inferno are mutual: she would quickly punish any that should bring him harm, acting just as a protective sister would.

Since their arrival in Elenlond, Inferno has parted ways with Minno and Thunder, making his way back towards their homeland to rejoin his mate Paneska and their six hatchlings. Together, they mean to seek out a safer territory; a dragon land, where they may be accepted among their own kind.

    • Tyrishio - black doakar
      • Seldom seen is the demon-spirited doakar Tyrishio, a black-furred member of Minno's own dying race. She is much like Minno in most respects, but for longer hair and both orange eyes intact. One thing that sets them most apart is Tyrishio's lack of wings, a birth defect that earned her distrust among her own.

In doakar society, it was recognised that those of a black coloration were among the greatest thinkers, and also the best leaders. As a black fur, Tyrishio does possess such a brilliant mind, but the unfortunate circumstances of her birth has made her bitter, more inclined to use her intelligence towards others' suffering than their salvation. It was with this mind that she sought the powers of a demon, and assisted in the elimination of her own race. After being infused within the body of one of those remaining of her kind, that being none other than Minno, Tyrishio has learned some tolerance of others, and holds a more amiable relationship with Minno and those she associates with. Her activities of late are a mystery, as the demon-doakar tends to keep to herself most of the time, wandering amidst the real world or out across the demonic plane.
