Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members.

Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity.

But how long will that peace last?

Nestled among the trees close to the Temple of Nature lies a small wooden shack belonging to Sphynx de’Hawkeris. The people of the Temple have allowed Sphynx to set up a small home here for reasons unknown. The wooden walls and door are comprised of mismatched pieces of lumber in a variety of shades of brown. The different hues make it seem as though one is looking at the trunks of many different types of trees, instead of a house. It is actually quite difficult to find, if you hadn’t been there before.

In the front of the house is a small open porch; more like a wooden floor with a thin wooden roof and a railing around it and a wooden awning to block out the elements. A rocking chair sits upon the porch looking old and decrepit; though any wind that passes by can show that the chair still rocks back and forth just fine. Vines cling to the railing and climb up the sides of the house, which only add make it blend into the background of the forest even more. There are a few windows around the house as well a round, brick chimney coming out of each side of the roof. Attached to the side of the house is a single stalled stable which usually houses a mean tempered stallion.

The inside of the shack is comprised of only two rooms. The main room has two walls of counter space with a basin and many cupboards. In the center of the room sits a table with only two chairs pulled up next to it. Bundles of dried plants hang from the ceiling, and many filled jars sit along the edge of the counter. Some of the jars are filled with powders and herbs, while others contain liquid solutions and objects that look squishy to the touch. There are two windows on opposite walls, though are difficult to see through as they are rarely cleaned. This room also houses a brick fireplace that is rarely left unlit.

The second, smaller room is Sphynx’s bedroom, and few are allowed inside apart from herself and her pets. There is another grimy window on one wall in this room, though this one has tattered black curtains covering it as well. The only pieces of furniture in this room are a bed, dresser, desk, a chair, and a large, fluffy cushion that lies in one corner. The cushion is perhaps the most extravagant thing within the room, and it doesn’t even belong to Sphynx. This is Pyra’s favorite resting place. There is also another fireplace within this room that looks identical to the one in the first room; it is also lit just as often.
