| Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members. Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity. But how long will that peace last? Some of you I have already spoken with about making a guild of some sort within the game. After a bit of brainstorming and the help of a few others, I've settled on a guild of Treasure Hunters. This allows the guild to be open to all sorts of characters. It will probably be somewhat slow-going at first unless this gets a lot of response immediately. It's can't just POOF! happen, it has to develop. If anyone is intrigued by the idea, I request that you reply to this thread or pm me. Shadow and I have worked out a deal where she will potentially insert herself into scenarios as random monsters and npcs. I can promise there will be a twisty plot, as twisty as my mind can make it, and that there will be much fun to be had, not to mention loads of character development if you're not quite sure what to do with your character right now. Join meh! O_o Who wants some buried imaginary money? |

To carry over from the last thread: I'm alright with having a few more members drop in on our plot if they'd like to. Are you creating an official guild that would be recognized IC, or is this just a group of characters who travel together with no real formalities? I think it would be neat if there was a leader of some kind. And a 'headquarters'. Some tavern or something in one of the cities. We could have a single permanent thread that we all post in and lounge about in. If you get what I'm saying. I think that be neat, just saying. :3 |

I second the idea of having a headquarters in one of the cities, and since this was your idea, Wolfe, I think one of your characters sould have first pick of being leader or not. Sphynx would likely never join in on any of your adventures, however Patrick might. I don't yet if he would join permantely, but here's another thought. Would you allow other people who aren't guild members to join in any of your adventures? Because I know that Patrick would go adventuring sometimes, but I'm not sure if he would be the type to join a guild solely based on that. |

Yes, there will be a headquarters. I've already been thinking about where. Definitely somewhere neutral. The guild will eventually be recognized IC. I plan on actually roleplaying out the beginning of it. Even the name will be chosen in character. I'm starting to lead Arcadian in the direction of the leader, humorously enough. Or at the very least, he'll be a founder. He may hand over the reigns if he feels he's met someone worthy. While Sphynx isn't likely to join, I know that, she could very well be an obstacle. ;D We can involve anyone with this idea, really. And no, you don't have to just do the guild to be a guild member. Everyone who is a member of anything, NRA, girl scouts, everyone has a separate life. By no means do I wish to limit any characters with this. |

Sphynx loves being an obstacle to things! She could play that part quite well! And the more I hear about this, the more I'm thinking Patrick would join. Maybe not right away, but I think he could be involved. |

Shadow is liable to join out of a desire to go questing and things (because I haven't done that in forever and it's one of those things I really miss about the good ol' days). Orion is liable to as well, if I can find a reason for him to be. He'd only join, temporarily, to get what he wants, so I suppose that'd have to be worked out later or something. But Shadow is definitely game. |

Orion would be like... an antagonist within a protagonist guild, if that makes sense. He's the anti-hero, but he's also the "I'll help you until it doesn't suit me anymore, or until I stop getting something out of it", and then he'll turn on everyone. That might be mildly entertaining, as a mini-plot or something. Take your time. =) I'm just happy you're drawing one for me at all, lol. |
