| Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members. Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity. But how long will that peace last? Name - Etilmarr Age - 21 Gender - female Alignment - neutral (but leaning towards good) Social Class - commoner Occupation - former bodyguard/protector Race - human Weapon - stiletto (short dagger with a tapering blade) strapped to her thigh Physical Appearance - Etilmarr has a tall, slender, and athletic build. She wears close-fitting woven tan-colored pants that tuck into knee-high leather boots. Around her right thigh, the stiletto is strapped. It frequently finds its way into her hand, even in peaceful situations. She wears a dark brown, sleeveless shirt that buttons up the back. Her hair, red and straight, is pulled back to a bun at the nape of her neck. Her shoulders and cheeks are freckled from the sun and her blue eyes, though bright, seem to hold something dark in their depths. Personality - Etil is quiet, speaking was never something that came easily for her. She is strong, both physically and mentally. She does not trust easily, but those she does trust are closer than family. Her steely demeanor is reflected in her eyes, though it is her eyes only that give away to a playful nature that had existed many years in her past. History - Etilmarr was raised in a family of men to do a man's job. Her clan was one that was reputed to send out the best bodyguards that money could buy. They were raised to be loyal and fearless. Even daughters were taught the ways of the sword. Such was the childhood of Etil. From the age of 4, a blade was placed in her hand and she was taught to think of it as an extension of her own body. By the time she was 8, she was well-educated in the use of her weapon of choice - the stiletto. At 16 she was hired by a noblemen to accompany his daughter in her many travels. She stayed with the family for four years. She remained ever-loyal, just as she had been taught to do so. Yet when the unthinkable happened, her alliances were questioned and her life was put in danger. Shortly after Etil turned 20, the nobleman's daughter (soon-to-be married when Etil would receive her full payment) was kidnapped while under Etilmarr's watchful eye. Despite her quick attempts to recover her ward, the daughter was murdered. The nobleman, sick with grief, turned upon Etilmarr with a rage that quickly outstripped her own. Etil fled.
