And then she was gone, her hips swinging as the knives jostled her thighs, passing by guards with her head held high, a haughty smile upon her lips.

OMG thank you!!!!! Sorry I haven't been on, but from Friday night to Sunday morning I've had the best birthday party ever. If you've ever heard of Unitarian-Universalists, I think they are some of the kindest, funniest, and most lovable religious (what am I saying? semi-religious, then) group EVER. I went to a youth convention in the Twin Cities called BagelCon (and I still dont' know why it's called that). THere was a talent-show with no talent required, we had workshops and touchgroups and all kinds of fun. I went to an Anime workshop on Sat. afternoon and we watched LOADS of FruitsBasket!!! (OMG main charrie is such a cute person) and I'm rambling in gleee. The other great thing is the hugs, in all shapes and sizes. You come back from a con and you feel LOVED. It's the best thing ever. Go to Cons! THey are life-changing in the best way possible. Now that I'm done advertising how are you all? Need a hug?

Ooooooooooh anime XD Lol anime is good for the soul. XDDD I've watched Fruitsbasket. It's scary. *Repeated nodding* XD Hehe yeah, there is lots of hugging. From random strangers, too >.>; It's quite frightening sometimes, especially if they just come up to you and say 'Can I have a hug' *happened to her two years ago* HUGS! *Hug* Muah! |

XD Oooh. Up here the only cons that people really speak of are anime cons. And I wouldn't know what a youth group one was because I believe that youth groups are religious, and I don't go to church at all, so. |

ummmm... Unitarian Universalism (UUism) is... hang on. I have a card here that says a bunch of stuff, so here goes. We believe in the freedom of religious expression. All individuals should be encouraged to develop their own personal theologies, and to present openly their religious opinions without fear of censure or resprisal We believe in the toleration of religious ideas. All religions, in every age and culture, possess not only intrinsic merit but also potential value for those who have learned the art of listening. We believe in the authority of reason and and conscience. the ultimate arbiter in religion is not a church, nor a document, nor an official but the personal choice and decision of the individual. We believe in the never-ending search for Truth. If the mind and heart are truly free and open, the revelations that appear to the human spirit are infinitely numerous, eternally fruitful, and wonderously exciting. We believe in the unity of experience. There is no fundamental conflict between faith and knowledge, religion and the world, the sacred and the secular, since they all have thier source in the same reality. We believe in the worth and dignity of each human being. All people on earth have an equal claim to life, liberty, and justice--and no idea, ideal, or philosophy is superior to a single human life. We believe in the ethical application of religion. Good works are the natural product of good faith, the evidence of an inner grace that finds completion in social and community involvement. there you go. Straight from a little card carried in my boyfriend's wallet. Basically, these people will say "Hi, how are you?" with real kindness and concern for you even if they've never seen you before. Like I said, at the Con I hugged and was hugged by complete strangers and felt loved. If there are any lonely people out there, find some UUs. Nicest people ever. So far as I know. I'm only eighteen, so I know I'll get more experience out of life and everyone has a different perception of everything. That's just what I think. |

That's actually really interesting, Rhynne. And it makes sense, too. That's a good way to live. Giving people a chance to accept religion as they want to and not as they 'should' is a good way to live. Because forcing it on people isn't going to make them very pleased with you. It's nice to be accepted for what you want to believe in instead of what people think you should believe in. *Nod* I can see why you'd be hugged XD |

Oh don't worry about it.
Thankees! Yes, Shadow, I'm converting as we speak. Makes so much more sense than most organized religion. |
