"Speaking of rest, we should take a vacation sometime... Even royalty need it... They're supposed to be throwing this party on the Kaadian Way in celebration of the Summer Solstice... and really, who doesn't love summer?" Razarod makes his way up the steps of the castle, his queen lying happily in his arms. "How does that sound to you, my love?" He smiles, already confident in her answer. She's made it quite known to him in the past that they need to get away from this for a little while and spend some time together. Finally, the king reaches their bedroom, and carries Kenna through the dark oaken doorway, setting her gently on the bed. "Great to be home, isn't it?" he says as he kisses his queen once more. __________________________________________________________________ Balthazar nods. "And if the work gets any harder than we expected... well, that's why I'm here." While he does not say or do anything to explain itself, between the glimpse Antony caught earlier of the chained object in his pocket, and the man's appearance: large, strong, harsh... This man is armed and is ready and willing to use whatever weapon it is that he's brought with him. As the pair reach the next floor, Balthazar stops walking. When he speaks again, it is in a different tone of voice than the one he's used before, this one is a far more casual voice, less aggressive. He also speaks loudly enough to be heard by the other guards, to ensure Antony has a valid excuse for leaving his usual post at the stables. "Thanks for the help, Antony. Took two people to list that damned thing! I hope I didn't keep you away from the horses for too long." With that, Balthazar turns and makes his way back to a higher floor, presumably to finish whatever task he was doing. Antony makes his way back outside through the stables, careful to take the lesser-used passages to avoid being noticed by too many people. Only a few more hours until he's home free... With both wealth and honor to be found in great amounts. Assuming, of course, that nothing goes wrong... at least nothing that the other man can't handle... |
