King of Angkar

As the goddess turns around, the townspeople all gasp, and back away more quickly as she makes eye contact. She isn’t left with long to intimidate them though, for the island’s monarch shows up roughly at the point. His footsteps slowly grow louder as he advances into the square. She looks quite different to him, as is expected. Six years will do that to a person. And as Razarod, the island’s ruler, is a very distinctive looking person, it is likely that she would recognize him as well, as much as he has changed. His hair still flows just past waist length, but locks which were once jet black are now navy blue. His dark green eyes have instead become lime green, and his face now bears a goatee. His ragged armor has been replaced with a more regal garb, yet his penchant for a red and black color scheme is as strong as it ever was. The sword tied at his waist is also something rather unique: It is entirely gold in color, and almost immediately after it begins, the blade forks out into giant steel V. Although he knows who she is immediately, his face shows no sign of recognizing her at all. The overly talkative and easy to read Galarod of the past is now silent, wearing a confident, enigmatic smirk on his face instead of the oft-confused look he once wore. He stands before her, watching her for nearly a full minute before he finally speaks with that all too familiar voice. “MidnightShadow…. I certainly wasn’t expecting to find the likes of you here in Ankgar. If you could come with me… it appears we have something to discuss… and it would be much easier for both of us to do this in private, I’m sure…” The townspeople appear more at ease now that their king is present. And it is easy to see why. He is a giant of a man, standing well over six feet high, and of a very powerful build. He stands before the Goddess of Water, not showing a single sign of fear, not displaying tension in the least. He maintains his strong image and his composure perfectly as he awaits her response, the silence in the square growing ever thicker, weighing down more as time bears on. The king is silent, and the townspeople dare not speak, at risk of interrupting this spectacle before them. |
