Angkar: Wet season. Precipitation is common during the late afternoon and evening hours. Vegetation grows significantly during the summer, but flooding is a danger due to the monsoons that ravage the country. The rainforest sees evenly distributed rainfall throughout the season.

Ashoka: Desert: Extremely hot and dry. Violent, heavy downpours following long dryspells. Jungle: Hot and humid with frequent, violent rainstorms.

Morrim: Relatively hot and dry, but with a chance of thunderstorms from time to time. The heat may cause forest fires.

Soto: Hot and humid, tree cover is dense while ground growth is restricted. Thunderstorms see the most amount of rainfall during the season, and it can be very windy. On occasion, there are flash floods that can destroy homes and farms built on flood plains.

Elenlond is an original free-form medieval fantasy RPG set on the continent of Soare and the Scattered Isles, which are located to the south in the Sea of Diverging Waters. The four chief nations of the western side of the world—Ashoka in northern Soare, Soto in western Soare, Morrim in eastern Soare, and Angkar, the largest of the Scattered Isles—continue to experience growth and prosperity since the fall of the Mianorite gods, although power struggles within the countries—or outside of them—continue to ensue.

Angkar: To honour the reinvigoration of the ancient city of Mondrágon, the majestic Queen Eulalia has permitted the opening of a Coliseum where people from around the world and all walks of life can test their combat skills against one another. Many have already done battle in search of honour, glory, prizes and money.

Ashoka: In an otherwise peaceful times, Ashokans are beset with the relatively minor inconveniences of wandering undead and occasionally-aggressive giant rock worms. There has also been some controversy over the recent re-legalisation of human sacrifice.

Morrim: Rumour has it that Emperor Leofric de Hollemark is mustering forces for a war. Though the threat from Soto’s forests has passed, the forces previously employed in watching the forest now linger at the border. Rumours also circulate of a small group that has been dispatched to make contact with the tribes of the Do’suul Mountains.

Soto: The Sotoans have defeated the fey and liberated themselves from Méadaigh’s oppression! Preliminary efforts have been made at rebuilding the city of Madrid, which had been captured at the beginning of the war. However, the Sotoans are hindered from recovery famine. Méadaigh’s magic caused summer to persist in the Erth’netora Forest through the winter. Her power has been withdrawn and the plants die as if preparing for winter – even though it is now summer. The Sotoans must sustain off what food they can get, what creatures they can kill and what can be imported into the city from Morrim and Angkar.

    The Island of Angkar

Located far from the coast and deep within the massive forest known as Borodora lies Angkar's capital city, Ildri. With a name meaning "Little Fire," it is a place of great beauty and tranquility. The city is composed of a stone the colour of red ochre; when dusking or dawning sunlight falls upon its surface, it appears as if the city is burning. Because many of the roads through the forest lead to Ildri, it is a large, boisterous place, housing many weary travellers while providing a pitstop for nomadic tribes, as well as being a home for many Angkarians. It is all the more boisterous because there are many festivals held here, which causes a huge influx of revellers many times during the year due to Ildri's central location. One will find quite a few old temples here, and even the occasional altar in some nook in the street dedicated to an obscure god. It is considered good luck for even foreigners and non-believers to pray at such places.

    Port City Zedrin
Lying on the northern coast of Angkar is Port Zedrin. It is one of the most famous free ports in Elenlond, and due to the amount of trade streaming in, brought by those who wish to take advantage of the customs and tax-free port, there is a lot of wealth in the city. This wealth, however, is concentrated to only the elite few, leaving the city divided. In the west there are the slums where poverty runs rampant. In the east the wealthy reside with their immense mansions, hoarding most of the resources that the poor need. Those few who are in the middle live in stilt-houses that project over the calm waters of the bay or the river that empties out into the ocean. Slavery runs rampant in Zedrin and as one walks down the street, they can see the rows of bound and gagged men and women waiting to be sold to one of the wealthy families.

Despite all of this struggle, Zedrin is still a pleasant enough city to be in. The markets are full of wares from all around the world, as well as those imported from Angkar's inland. There are also more temples here than in Ildri, and so everywhere one goes they will find elaborate structures and gold-covered statues of the figures in Angkarian religion. These places are often surrounded in a haze of incense smoke and attended by priests and priestesses who are open to talking to strangers about the gods and their worship.

    Stratera Rainforest
This large rainforest covers much of the Angkarian islands, making travel through them difficult except where there are roads. The forest has a dense canopy that allows very little sunlight to filter down to the forest floor, though many of the plants are either adapted to these low-light conditions or they grow from the tree tops, resulting in many epiphytes that hang from above. Many exotic species flourish here, especially interesting types of animals that are diversified across the various islands and can't be found anywhere else.

There are many small settlements in these rainforests, some of which are very unique, having had little contact even with other Angkarians. Some of these may not be humans either, and some may not be friendly to outsiders, so one must be careful around them.

    Kashmir Beach
Angkar's coast primarily consists of long white-sanded beaches, save for the areas where sheer cliffs stand over the ocean's surface. The sand on these beaches is silky smooth and often warm under the sunlight. There are many spots, especially in bays, where many colourful shells and pieces of coral are washed up. In these areas, one can see the dark spots under the clear blue water where coral reefs proliferate. If one were to swim out, they could dive down and see these strange underwater worlds, with bright coral and even brighter fish, and one might even find a merperson down there.

Mondragón is an ancient city of culture and political power, where the first Kings of the outermost Luin Isles rose to power. The great city of stone and brick grew from a small village to a metropolis of enormous size and influence over hundreds of years and was designed to blend in with the lush vegetation of the rainforest. In the center of the city are temples, palaces, and the ball court, which are graced by elaborate stone carvings, glyphs, and stucco statues. Important rituals are often done there. The Palace is a large, multi-storied complex resembling a basilica which is home to the High Queen and royal family, and also acts as an administrative center, where bureaucrats regulate tribute, trade, agriculture, etc. This is also the place where the High Queen and nobles interact not only with the common people but with diplomatic visitors. Feasts, dances, and other community social events also take place there. Residential areas, decorated with enameled brick, friezes, and bright paint, radiate out from the city's center, growing sparser the further out. Raised stone walkways link the residential areas with each other and the center. Some of the most important cultural elements of the region were disseminated at the Library of Mondragón, such as writing, mathematics, astronomy, and the development of the Angkarian calendar. Mondragón is widely known by locals as the most important pilgrimage site, as it is where the multi-acre complex that is the High Temple resides. The city had been ransacked by Morrimian conquerors over a hundred years ago and lay abandoned and in ruins until its restoration between 8 AR and 10 AR by Eulalia I. The city has no walls, although it houses a fortress, where locals can run to during times of trouble....
