| Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members. Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity. But how long will that peace last? Enter Elenlond; Turn the pages and tell your own tale. If you're already a member please log in to your account to access all of our features: |
Alastrine Valley |

Temple of Life and Order
Set in the Alastrine valley, the Temple of Life and Order is the central place of worship within the nation. Built into the side of one of the Do'suul mountains, it is quite expansive within. Built with two stories, there is only one room of worship, and that is the entrance chamber. Split into two, the room is, remarkably, made of two different types of marble: one is a creamy colour, the other a pale grey. On the eastern side - the half dedicated to Life - there is a very elaborate altar. It appears to be like a small hut with a triangular roof and four small pillars to support it, all composed of white stone. On its base, which is preceded by a set of miniature stairs, there is a large bowl with a lotus flower carved into its centre. Here people may make offerings. Blood sacrifice of any sort is strictly forbidden at this altar.
On the western side there is no altar, but rather a sword embedded in stone. This blade, thought to be a paladin's, is the only object of worship. At the stone's base, which is completely devoid of any scripture, people leave flowers, weapons, even tiny droplets of blood as a means of appeasing whatever god there may exist. Behind the blade, which sits along the western wall, directly across from the altar of Life, there is a faint image of a man. Who this is few know, save the temple priests. Some say it could be Vespasian. Plants in elaborate vases are scattered throughout the spacious chamber. On the second floor the priests' quarters reside, as well as a staircase leading down into the Alastrine valley. |

Windswept Plains of Aeril
Grasslands expand quite a ways in all directions within Morrim. Aptly named for Aeril, a young maiden who died for the preservation of the plains, they are eternally under the pressure of the wind - be it breeze or gale - for that was where her heart lied. At times they may be silent, trees popping up here and there, and there is only the wind to keep one company if they are alone. The Alastrine valley becomes these plains, a river snaking along the eastern border, following along the foot of the moutains until it eventually finds an escape into the sea.
