| Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members. Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity. But how long will that peace last? Manifest Cliffs
Although these cliffs appear to be nothing particularly special - they simply overlook the ocean east of Soare - one must wait until the sun begins its descent on the western horizon. As twilight evelops Morrim, small spheres of light rise from the ocean below, glittering in the oncoming darkness. They are fireflies, beautiful and enchanting. When the sun begins to rise they vanish from sight, leaving the cliffs as they were the previous day.

The Black Tower
Through the ages, the mountains have swallowed this dark monument that once loomed over Morrim. It has been claimed and re-claimed many times over, and now resides within the care of Andromalius. As it is now, the New Order Military, all who are not otherwise commanded to protect territory, have come to reside around the tower and the adjacent vicinity. In weeks, pitched tents have been traded for buildings made from the surrounding petrified trees, and a city has begun to grow. Travelers are encouraged to stay away, as the populace is greatly made from criminals, thieves, and those who have fallen in love with death. Murder is anticipated daily.
Since the activation of the Eye of Zanna, the once fertile foothills of the mountains in this location have become desolate. Dark clouds constantly gather above, raining ash like snow to where the ground is lightly frosted with a blanket of gray. All trees have died, their bark petrified, and with the exception of domesticated dragons, rocs, snakes, and wolves, animal life is scarce. |
