| Welcome to Elenlond, an original medieval fantasy forum! We're always looking for new, dedicated members. Elenlond is composed of two continents: Soare and Esiria. Esiria, a land now isolated due to the efforts of the last remaining Goddess, is inaccessible to all beings and lies in the east. Soare, a continent in the west, is composed of three distinct nations: Ashoka, Soto, and Morrim. Lying between the two major continents are the Scattered Isles. Since the dissolution of the pantheon and the fall of the gods, these countries have existed in relative peace and prosperity. But how long will that peace last? Grand Palace of the Empress
Located in the heart of Kinaldi, surrounded by towering, gossamer walls, lies the Empress's palace. As if to contrast sharply with the rest of the city, the palace is composed of an alabaster stone tinted a very pale pastel orange colour. It fulfills its title as being the 'grand' palace of the Empress, rising stories higher than those of the regular buildings. The inner halls are lavishly decorated with portraits, vases, carpets, tapestries, and sculptures. Guards stand to attention at the steel gates preventing lowlifes from simply waltzing in, as well as at the main entrance and any major rooms such as the monarch's personal quarters. Although she lacks a throneroom, the banquet hall has a large dais reserved for the Empress and her kin, the table composed of solid, polished oak, the chair that backs it towering over all of the others. Beautiful, lush gardens surround the entirety of the palace, between the walls and the building itself.
The Empress is currently away. Those that wish to speak to her must now speak to her replacement, Andromalius. |
