No, it didn't. Are clotis taking that as cloti or something?

Jesus.... :lmao: She does not mean that romantically, she means that literally. Just like Sora is looking for Riku. Some people need to get a grip.

But if fans try and use this as proofs, tell 'em maybe Tifa needs to realize Cloud doesn't want to be found by her.

EDIT:
On second thought, that's rude... I shouldn't say that. They've kinda been through the ringer this last year or so (what with hinamatsuri & the koibito-thing) let 'em have their fun, no sweat off our canon. ^_^

But since Soriku isn't canon, and literally Tifa is talking about Riku to Sora...

I mean honestly, she's telling him he'll find someone, but not a romantic interest, so it's literally not a good parallel.

And even so, she's not finding HER man, she's just trying to find the person she's looking for. There's nothing inherently romantic about this quote. It's literally just saying she's trying to find a man, a person she is looking for.

Trust me, it's used in basic english all the time.

"Did you find your man?"

it can be used to talk about a romantic interest, or someone you're trying to find at a job, or something else. But if they wanna use it as evidence, well good luck.

Exactly right. As an example, take this scene from the Count of Monte Cristo, when Jacobo swears his allegiance to Edmond after Edmond spares his life:

Oops, I'm at work right now, so I'll have to try and fix the link later, but this is the context:

Edmond and Jacobo are being forced to fight to the death by a band of pirates. Edmond is winning and has the chance to kill Jacobo, but he chooses to let him live, and convinces the pirates to call off the fight.

Jacobo then tells Edmond "I swear, I am your man forever." For the rest of the film, he willingly acts as Edmond's servant.

So it's an example of how being someone's "man" can be a completely non-romantic thing.

Your video link is fine (I just watched the video). I was on about the link in the original post.

But thanks, anyway.

Good rebuttal video.
