Hello, my name is Michael, and in other FF7 circles I'm known as NCPrezMike. But I decided to try to be more creative, so I came up with NC Edge (I think there is a thread to explain your username, so I'll save it for that.)

I have gone back, and forth whether or not I should tell you my story of how I became a Cleris, but I didn't know if anyone would want to hear it, and if it was too big that no one would want to read it. Even if I stuck to the basics (but if your interested, I'll tell you. I'm sure I'll explain it at some point while I'm here). So for now I'll tell you that I've been a Cleris since FF7 came out. I remember playing it for the first time, and getting so wrapped up in the story, and some of the characters (for various reasons, if I get more indepth in my story, I'll tell you the reason why). Particularly the story of Cloud and Aeris, which was obvious to me the couple of FF7. They also became one of my most favorite characters in video games. So I became such a fan of FF7 that I decided one day I would make a website dedicated to it. So while I was in my first semester at Arizona State in late 2001, I made a FF7 website called "the Northern Cave" (there are some people hear that might know me already from me asking them to post their fanfiction on my website.) As I mentioned, I've been a lurker of these forums for years, so long that I even forgot when I started. But if I had to guess, I found it through a geocities Cleris site that I often visited, and I think that became Clerith.com or something like that. (maybe someone can figure out the year from that.)

I should tell you that I'm not much for pairings besides Cloud and Aeris, I do have one other one, and a few maybe's that I enjoy reading fanfictions of. But yeah, other than that, I'm usually not huge on pairings.

Reason it took me so long to become a member was that it takes me a long time to get comfortable in a new community of new people. Plus I knew that my knowledge of FF7 isn't as extensive as most people here. I have really enjoyed coming here on most days, and just reading all the things that you guys have posted. So I'm not sure what I'm going to bring to the discussion, but since it was insisted that I give it a shot, I'll do my best. Hopefully I don't disappoint.

Thanks for sharing your story, and please don't be intimidated to share your thoughts and ideas. We all learn so much from each other and there's never enough ideas, opinions, and theories when it comes to FFVII. Hope you'll post plenty and enjoy your stay.

Hey and welcome to the forums! No worries about being a lurker at first. I'm pretty much the same way for this site at first before signing up. It's worth it and everyone here is nice. Enjoy the forums!

Thanks everyone, I never doubted that you all would be nice to me when I finally made the step to be apart of the forums (as I said, I've had some contact with the members outside of these forums, and I've been watching for a long time). Just it takes me time. I remember I use to be in another online community that involved being in a online chat room. It became sort of my thing to barely say anything, but I would be sitting at my computer for hours watching what went on, and what was said in the chat room. Just takes time for me to really feel comfortable with new people I guess.
