Link. Square Enix have announced HD remasters of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts - Re:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 to be packaged together under the title "Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX" for the Playstation 3. Noruma has spoke about this a few times in magazine about releasing HD versions to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts so I have been expecting this. More information is to be released at the Tokyo Game Show. And also before people start moaning, obviously except for 358/2 Days these are REMASTERS, not remakes just like they are doing with Final Fantasy X. 358/2 Days will obviously be a full fledged remake but I think it will be using the KH1 or KH2 engine rather than starting it from scratch. And the reason why KH2 isn't included? Its Kingdom Hearts 1.5, meaning the first game and all of the side games that explain more about the plot before Kingdom Hearts 2 starts. And Birth By Sleep doesn't need to be included to because its everything after the first KH before KH2. Hence why it is called "Kingdom Hearts 1.5". |

Pretty much they want to suck our money by tempting us with updated graphics. |

Its what's happening nowadays and it does help the games reach new gamers and makes them more accessible. |

"I'll cut them off" O.O

If I get it, it'll be for collection purposes. I'd rather refresh my memory of FFX anyway. They're both S-E's lazy attempt to milk more money, and I always support their bullshit. I feel like a total tool. They could easily just put these games on PSN as (cheaper) digital downloads to get newer gamers in on these older games, but they'd rather gloss on a new coat of paint and maximize on profits. Well, whatever. Business is business. But I have a bad feeling about the way S-E has been handling itself lately. They're far from the company they used to be, and it feels like the amount of quality gems they used to pump out has dwindled significantly. |

Its good for people like me who live in Europe and we never got the PS2 version of Chain of Memories. Plus its also the Final Mix version of KH1 which never got localised which they didn't really need to do since the audio is in English, they would just need to change the text. Plus 358/2 is one of my favourite KH games so I get to play a brand new version of it. I don't really agree with the way SE is running things now to but picking up this new collection at a budget price is pretty cool and a sweet deal if you ask me. |

A properly localized Final Mix and Chain of Memories for a PS3 engine is a good move IMHO (I had a hard time playing CoM in its Japanese version, never finished it). I actually never played Days, I end up watching a playthrough in YT, so it's also a welcome addition. |

Saw the trailer. Believe it or not. I don't see much difference from the original. A post in tumblr said that they used Sora's 3D model and that it looks cleaner. |

It turns out that it isn't a full fledged remake of 358/2 Days but cinematic scenes of it and right now its only got confirmation for Japan but considering how popular KH is and how much money SE can make of this it will probably be localised. |

I just said that. ![]() It will probably be localised though, SE can make huge money of this and they like money.

CoM is an extremely cheap game now. *owns both the gba version and the ps2 version* and frankly let me put it this way, I said it a while back in a review type thing I put up. The GBA's gameplay is better imo, and the graphics actually made me impressed with what a gba could do. That said. I've beaten that game twice, and if it ever came out in a ps3 version I'd beat it again. But if it's Japan only I'll be fine with that. |
