Pinker's idea, just thought I'd make it official:

Ok so this is in response to the bashing threads, come and show us your fav characters! Show your support to them.

Tell us who you love, now this is not for individual character(as there are other clubs for individual characters), you must give a list of characters who you love. Reasons why etc.

It is not strictly for FF characters, seriously just spread the love and tell us all who you love ^^

Aerith and Cloud should be on that list XP but it's up to you:

WARNING SPOILERS!!!!

I love the following:

Females:

1. FF7 - Aerith: she is my favorite final fantasy girl EVER. She is amazing and sweet, with how she took care of the sick man in the slums, yet she was street smart in wall market selling flowers around the honey bee inn. She seemed to know her way around, and was a mature smart woman, with an outgoing flirtatious flavor to her, especially around Cloud. Even so eventually sacrificing herself for the greater good, Aerith is possibly one of the bravest characters I've ever seen.

2. FF8 - Rinoa: I LOVE Rinoa. She's sweet as well, very outgoing, and although she makes mistakes she is EXTREMELY brave, especially considering she had no SeeD training. I love how she made Squall start to come out of his shell. She was adorable with her: "you will like me, you will like me" line especially. She does get kidnapped, but even so she never stopped trying to fight for what she believes in.

3. FF10/10-2 - Yuna: I love Yuna, she's sweet and caring. Even when no one believes Tidus in the beginning, she does. She puts on a brave face throughout all of Final Fantasy X. And in X-2 I loved her because she saw the wrong, she stayed out of it and she did manage to save them all once again. Yuna is brave, very brave and strong.

4. FF13/13-2 - Serah: Serah is although not used enough in 13, and I didn't like her at first, she has grown on me. Truly she's just a sweet girl caught up in a very bad situation. She tried to protect Snow from her problems, and though she couldn't she tried to remain with him against the odds.

5. FF13/13-2 - Lightning: Lightning is purely awesome. I felt badly for her with Serah, her sister who she couldn't protect. Lightning is a strong woman, though emotionally closed off, that's part of why I love her. I don't like her paired normally with other people, because I believe she's so strong on her own she doesn't need anyone else. Though in some fanon pairings I'm ok with her. I like her because she is a bad ass female who does eventually have a soft side.

6. FF13/13-2 - Vanille: Vanille is the character I have most identified with in FF13. I've made mistakes, some of them have costed me and others dearly. But I admire Vanille for facing what she did with Sazh. I love Vanille because although she's fragile and she has ran away from many things, eventually she faces them and finds her bravery.

7. Legend of Dragoon - Shana: A lot of people hate her, I am not one of them. She is a damsel in distress a lot, after all she was kidnapped from her home and had no prior training in battle. (Truth is Shana is the most broken character in LoD with her dragon not only causing massive holy damage but healing the entire party, her magic strength is impressive.) Shana impressed me though because though she was the childhood friend of Dart and although she was clingy at times, she showed an amazing resolve to face the Virages of the game, and though she hates it at first, she realizes that she must face them later on. Extremely conflicting plot points with her, she was very interestingly the queen of the virages(the moon child) and yet also the white silver dragoon. Shana is the epitome of sweet and girly, and yet I couldn't help but love her despite her faults.

8. Shadow Hearts 1/2 - Alice: Alice was the typical main girl as always, in fact she reminds me of Aerith. Unafraid of Yuri after a while she actually falls for him. In fact despite the facts that he is a demon and she is a priest's daughter, Alice sacrifices herself to saving Yuri in the end. Even so he is reunited with her still, a love unbreakable. I love Alice, she was amazing to me, compassionate and sweet, with a bravery enough to sacrifice herself for her true love.

9. Fruits Basket - Tohru: People bash her, I don't. I personally love Tohru, a very modest and sweet girl. She always puts others before herself, and for this I admire her actually. Her speeches from her mother are heart warming, though the over all sugar of her is a little much at times, her basic character is something I love and admire.

10. Fruits Basket - Hana: Hana is Tohru's best friend, and she shows an amazing amount of care for Tohru. Always understanding when Tohru needs her to step in and help her. Hana is what I call a true friend, in the end she even holds back Uo who can't understand. Hana is also really cool with her gothic personality and electrical waves psychic abilities.

11. Tales of Symphonia - Colette: I don't know how people can bash her. Being the chosen one, you see how truly tragic her life was with her parents. After all everyone always just treated her a certain way except Lloyd. Colette is a strong girl, who despite her fate fights to become strong enough to save them all, even at some point sacrificing who she is for it, despite it all Colette is one of the strongest and bravest girls I've seen in a video game.

12. Legend of Zelda - Zelda: Zelda is one of those characters I wish I could actually play as in those games. Ocarina of Time Zelda is my favorite. After all she is Link's love interest which makes the most sense to me. I also love how she becomes Shiek to help Link along the way. Zelda is one of the coolest princesses I've ever seen and have loved.

13. Okage Shadow King - Marlene: the spoiled princess. Turns out she's actually a cursed doll and it's up to you to free her. But really what I loved was she stood up to Stan your shadow when most other characters either write him off as stupid or just obey him. And personally I love her fiery attitude, I'm glad she does soften up around you, but I love her inner fire.

14. Avatar The Last Airbender - Mai: I love Mai. Really I love how moody she is except for Zuko, not caring about anything else. She is the epitome of a gothic style of personality, and I love that about her. I love her softer side when it comes to Zuko as well, especially with how much she does love and care for him underneath her hard exterior.

15. Inuyasha - Rin: she changed Sesshomaru. She showed up a poor beaten down girl who was even killed, and she made him love her. She is a wonderful little girl who fed him and tried to help him while he was injured. And for this I love Rin. She's such an amazingly well done character to me.

Males:

1. FF8 - Squall: Squall I loved for a couple of reasons. He had a really traumatizing past and yet he may mope about it, but he DOES heal from it. He's bad ass with his looks and his gun blade, in fact he's damn hot to me. Squall is an ice prince and I love his cool demeanor, though at times he does flip out about being the leader, in the end he always comes through.

2. FF8 - Seifer: Seifer is one of the most misunderstood characters to me. In truth I found him a very troubled soul, I kinda wish he'd been a permanent party member, I really do. Especially considering if he had been a good guy rather then a villain and they put someone else in his place, he'd probably be more beloved then he is now, especially considering how cool he was. I'm glad he got over his cocky demeanor, and he was humbled by what he went through, but I think he could have been humbled even as a good guy(my opinion) I do love him though, very twisted soul who looks for something in the wrong place and suffers for it.

3. FF7 - Vincent: I love Vincent. He's tragic, absolutely tragic. The poor man lost his true love, and yet to this day he's not forgotten her. Though a tortured soul, I love how despite his tortured past he doesn't deny it. He faces it, though he does run from redemption for it, he is a realistic character in his feelings and behaviors.

4. FF9 - Kuja: the true rebel. He fights against his fate and though in the end he does die anyway, at least he fought for it. Despite how wrong he was about it, I love Kuja. I love his designs especially the thong. I love his poetic way of speaking and I love how devious he is. I love Kuja because in the end he was just a rebel looking for his freedom from a fate he didn't want.

5. FF13 - Snow: lots of people hate him, not me. I love how he tried everything for his beloved, Serah. Though reckless and whatnot, he is a strong man who does everything he can for her. I love Snow because he's sweet to her, and I love how in the end he does try to make things better with Lightning and Hope.

6. FF13 - Sazh: Sazh was cool, absolutely cool. Poor guy lost his son, and wanted to do everything for him. Sazh is awesome to me. He in the end was a victim of the circumstances but he doesn't destroy with revenge, instead he forgives Vanille especially and does his best to help them all. The father figure of the game, Sazh is absolutely awesome to me.

7. FF10/10-2 - Tidus: A lot of people hate him, I don't. I really believe he was just thrown into something he was nowhere near prepared for and acted realistically in response to it. At time his voice acting was rough, but as a character Tidus shows an amazing amount of caring for Yuna, doing anything he can for her.

8. FF10/10-2 - Auron: I loved Auron, he's cool. In fact Auron is so awesome, do I really need to explain this? Auron was a bad ass fighter, and he was making up for a past that he didn't agree with. Truly an inspirational figure to the rest, I admired his resolve to change things after what happened to Jecht and Braska.

9. FF7 - Cloud: now I'm very specific with Cloud. I love him when he's around Aerith. Otherwise he's pretty closed off and quiet for my taste. But I did see the person he was as shy and more quiet. I'm glad for this actually, he does impress me more then some other characters. I do love his strength, and I do love his way of caring for Aerith. I love him with Aerith mainly, alone he's rather depressing for my taste, but I do like him even alone.

10. Fruits Basket - Yuki: I love Yuki. He's very shy and reserved and though he puts on a front to make people love him, I can understand why he does. He's very uncomfortable around people in truth, and I can understand that fear of others, I identified with it. I especially love pairing him with Tohru, after all she makes him open up more and more slowly. Over all I love his princely attitude and his grace.

11. Fruits Basket - Hatsuharu: I love Haru, he's so cool. Especially when he explained his past. Black Haru is the bad boy part of him that causes a lot of problems, and yet the white side of him is this caring and sweet young man. I love this polarizing part of his character.

12. Dragon Age Origins - Zevran: suave, accent, hot. Yeah Zevran is awesome. I love being the male character with him too, hotness. Anyway, I love his character because it's complex. He is a sexual one, and yet he tells you of his past which is very complex, especially losing the girl he loved at one time. Zevran is one of the best developed characters I've ever seen. He is the type to fall eventually, you just have to try, and I love it when he does.

13. Dragon Age 2 - Anders: the extreme mage. He is one of the most polarizing characters, as he absorbed justice and became an extreme advocate for the mages. Anders is my type of character, fighting for the abused mages who are practically in an internment camp in the game known as the mage tower. I agree with his views while watching this game, and enjoyed having him with me very much, he is the white mage after all with a black mage attitude.

14. . Hack Series - Endrance: flamingly gay, Endrance is one of the few video game characters who is flamingly gay. He's also very much graceful, gorgeous, and amazing as he does it. I love Endrance, he is so cool, and so suave in the last game especially. I admire his character for being as outspoken as it is especially.

15. Legend of Dragoon - Dart: Dart is the main hero, but what I like about Dart is that despite it all he does remain true to Shana. And of course he does get revenge for his hometown in the end. He always fights bravely, and though it's overdone, I still love it when Dart does it.

16. Avatar The Last Airbender - Zuko: Zuko is a character I can relate to. The type who made mistakes throughout the series. Yet I always found myself rooting for him. He is one of the most conflicted characters I've ever seen and it drew me into him.

17. Avatar The Last Airbender - Jet: a very conflicting character. I love Jet because in the end he did find the right path. I felt so badly for him especially considering his past. Jet was of course a cocky bastard, but I could understand why he was that way and I am saddened that he died.

18. Shadow Hearts 1/2 - Yuri: Yuri is cool. The bad ass character with a flirty attitude, not your typical hero. He's an anti hero in fact who becomes more like a hero with Alice around. Yuri is of course the anti hero to me, always not really the goodie goodie, and yet he still fights for the side that ultimately would burn him if they could, considering he is a demon, he changes the minds of those who dare question him. Brave, I love his complex character.

19. Legend of Zelda - Link: Link the quiet hero. I do love him though, after all I love his design, and I love his personality especially in ocarina of time. The silent hero who does everything he can to save them all and falls for Zelda in the end.

20. Kingdom Hearts Series - Riku: the anti hero. Riku takes the wrong path at first. And yet I could understand his character, the in between light and dark character. I have always identified with that, after all evil and good aren't cut and dry, they have shades of grey. And I love Riku because he represents that in so many ways to me.

21. Inuyasha - Sesshomaru: one of the most complex characters ever. He shows no compassion or remorse until Rin comes along. She changes him, and for that I began to love Rin. Even so I love Sesshomaru, he's protective over her, and cares for her in a deep way that though he'd never show it, it's obvious. I love his bad ass character as well, strong and he knows it, he doesn't change for anyone else except for Rin.

22. Tales of Symphonia - Lloyd: truly the best guy for Colette ever. He never gave up on her even when she lost herself. Lloyd is sweet and amazing of course, the main guy. He does everything he can for the others, and I love his bravery and never giving up attitude.

Those are mine.

Wow, AerithBunny! We've got similar tastes. ;) I guess I'll split my list up in the same way you did.

Females:

FF7 - Aerith: I love Aerith mainly because I see a lot of myself in her. I grew up in a city slum too, I'm very spiritual, I've always felt drawn to nature and the outdoors, and I'm more outgoing in person. I love that she speaks her mind, even if nobody else agrees with her. She's captivating and beautiful and honest, which are things I admire and hope to aspire to be.

FF9 - Beatrix: General of Alexandria. I love that she's always weighing the moral value of whatever task she's about to undertake. She starts off as a villain, but she chooses the right side when she sees how much Princess Garnet is suffering, and how corrupt Queen Brahne has become. She's pretty badass too. :)

Tales of Symphonia - Colette: I love Colette (and Colloyd ^^;) and I am a huge fan of hers. She's one of my all time favorite characters. She is strong and brave and bears the weight of the world on her shoulders. She comes across as very human to me because she struggles to accept that she doesn't need to sacrifice her happiness to save the world. Her past is so mysterious because you never learn about her mother and she's emotionally estranged from her father (very subtly hinted in the game), and yet she's not a quintessential tragic or an angsty figure like Kratos or Zelos (although I love them both too). And after everything she's been through, and after seeing how deeply she and Lloyd care for each other, it's hard for me not to picture them together.

Dragon Age - Wynne: She reminds me so much of my grandmother. I was raised by my grandmother, so whenever I talk to Wynne, I think of her. They both have so much wisdom and they can look at life objectively after experiencing so much of it. Aside from what happened with Aneirin, I admire that Wynne has lived her life without regrets. Wynne's past always tugs at my heartstrings too, especially how she had to give up her son just for being a mage and how she was abandoned as a child.

Ico - Yorda: You never understand a word she says, but you can tell by her actions and gestures that she truly cares for Ico. She's just a beautiful and mysterious figure.

Male:

FF9 - Zidane: He's my favorite FF male. He's not the most attractive hero and he can be a womanizer, but he's got a kind heart and a sarcastic attitude that always makes me laugh. "You don't need a reason to help people" is a great philosophy to live by and he has definitely influenced my life. At times he pushes his friends away for the right or wrong reasons, but he comes to learn that he is not as alone as he thinks he is.

FF7 - Cloud: He's grown on me a lot. I feel like he's the most realistic protagonist FF has ever had. He's not emotionally crippled like Squall or overly cheerful like Tidus, he can come across as apathetic and sarcastic and he's got a lot of flaws, but I feel like he's very easy to relate to in that sense. He's been through a lot and he needs someone like Aerith to help him along. He's very complex and hard to understand at times, but he wants to find his light, which is what I admire the most about him.

Tales of Symphonia - Zelos: Zelos gets a lot of flack from his companions for being too much of a pervert and for being self-centered. But he's got a dark side to him that is really interesting to look into. He jokes around a lot, yet he means a lot of what he says. His companions tend not to understand the gravity of his words, but there are people like Lloyd, Sheena and Colette who are able to see him on a much deeper level. I've always sympathized with his character.

Tales of Symphonia - Kratos: Everyone loves Kratos. What's not to love? :P Although he can come across as someone who has made a lot of bad choices in his life, he is always trying to redeem himself. He's not the greatest father in the world, but he definitely loves his family, and he's helped Lloyd countless times.

Oblivion - Modryn Oreyn: He's a Dunmer, which is awesome. Even more awesome is his crabby attitude balanced with his sense of justice and brotherhood among his brothers and sisters in the Fighter's Guild. I always play the Elder Scrolls as a Dunmer female, so I ship them together regularly. :P But yeah, I've always liked him a lot.

Persona 4 - Kanji Tatsumi: He's so badass and unique! He struggles with his identity and his sexuality, and his character really made Persona 4 an outstanding game for me. He broke away from a lot of stereotypical RPG characters and if he ever materialized in real life, I would give him a hug. <3

Shadow of the Colossus - Wander: He risked everything to save Mono, knowing that he wouldn't come out of his pact with Dormin without sacrifice. You never learn about their past together, but I can tell he truly loves her. I've just always been a fan of his. Plus we are both natural red-heads :P and I love red headed characters, like Kratos and Zelos.

Ico - Ico: He risks everything to save Yorda. He could have run away at any moment in time, started his life anew, escaped from a terrible fate on his own, but he stuck with her. They share an incredible bond.

Dragonball Z - Trunks: I love Trunks. I had a crush on him as a kid, but I always wanted to be like him too. He's really humble and kind, but at the same time, he's a force to be reckoned with.

I think that's it. I love many more characters, but I'm done elaborating lol Any questions? :)
